LEAVE ON ONE AND HALF DAY IN IT2001

Dear Experts,
I need your experty for update one and half day in IT2001 i.e.10.01.2015 to 11.01.2015 will update hours, but when i am trying to update from 10.01.2015 to 11.01.2015 that time taking two days auto.
Is there any way for one and half day / Two and half day in a one time update in SAP.

ya watever in 2001 also you can enter 1 hour also or 2 hours .....and in portal also as in my screen shot you can update there ....have a look below i booked half day and full day leave for 10 and 11 april here ....
this is half day
this is full day the 8 hours here will automatically pick from dws which we do in time management

When I mark 30 days continues leave in IT2001, system takes only 25 days and balance 5 days (4 Sunday & one public holiday), it shows as present. I want to get a report saying he was on leave all 30 days.
Can we achieve this through standard configuration itself or need to write any schema?

There are Absence days, Calendar days and Payroll days in IT2001. And also quota deduction for abscences with quota.
From spro-Time Management-Time Data Recording and Administration-Absences-Absence Catalog-Absence Counting-Rules for Absence Counting (New)-Define Counting Rules or simply from table T556C you have to change the configuration of abscence counting for applicability of rule in holiday class, day type, conditions for work schedule which consists of counting class for period work schedule and daily work schedule class, conditions for planned hours.
With these configurations you decide whether it will be counted as abscence on the relative day, period.
But as far as I know these configurations affect Payroll days.
And also as Simon says if it is only will be for information then calendar day will be 30 and you can report in Ad-Hoc reports.

Netweaver after one and half year of ABAP experience...

Hi all,
I am an ABAPer with one and half year of experience.
I wanted to know if its really worth to switch to netweaver after having around one and half years of ABAP experience as in india promotions are faster and one remains technical person for around 7 years only as in case i take some netweaver component at this stage i will have to start from zero .Further marketwise is there too vast difference between an ABAPer and Netwaver technical consultant as it will again take one and half year to learn new Netweaver component and by the time i will be having 3 years of ABAP experience in case i decide to remain inABAP.
In other words which one is better option between one and half years of Netweaver experience or 3 years of ABAP experience marketwise and careerwise.I will be really thankful if somebody can give a bit descriptive explanation in this regard.

Hello Sandeep,
The market is never static , it keeps on changing, 'Change is the only constant' . Currently Netweaver platform is the platform of choice for SAP Customers and many are involved in upgrading their systems to the latest SAP Offerings.
You should invest in Netweaver , there are several learning courses you can take up or maybe buy books and rely on self learning.
What career you want to choose is your personal issue, however SAP will definitely phase out ABAP in the near future (maybe a decade), so its worth investing money and time now into a product which SAP has decided to go forward with.
On the soft skill side, you can always learn project management and people management, there are several courses out in the market for the same, this will slowly progress your career and take you away to a point where underlying technology does not matter.

Hi Sandeep,
It would be better to choose what you like the most ie feel comfortable to work. If you really want to swith to Netweaver then go for visual composer it is very easy to learn and there are lot of opportunites in US with a very high package.
It is would be best if you concentrate to become a techno functional rather than going for the Netweaver. So that you will explore more in ABAP as well as in the functional side.
Sap runs on Business process,technology may come and go but the Business still remains like SD, MM, FI etc....

I am seeing if I can get another battery even though I do not believe that is the issue. It keeps giving me vdd_under which I believe is under voltage, maybe it is just a faulty battery? It charges up like normal and functions normal (when plugged in, or above 90%) but it gives under voltage warnings and shuts down when in heavy use (using camera or going back and forth to imessage). When just sitting idle it doesn't seem to turn off until that 55-60% mark. It may just be a faulty battery because I feel I installed all of the other cables correctly when replacing the screen, and I don't think those connections should affect the battery anyway except for maybe the logic board cable (the 2nd cable to be unplugged after the battery cable) I guess I could clean that out as well with isopropyl just in case.
Any other suggestions would be helpful... and I will get back to you if a new battery helps. Thanks!

Because its takin to much space in my iPod >_<

My iPhone 5 battery drain with in 3 hours when I use cellular network on and stand by time is only 2 and half day

I Bought iphone 5 from USA when I came to India I started it then I noticed the battery stand by time is only 3 days. And when I use cellular data then it is live only for 2 and half hour. I bought this phone in January till now I am having the same problem. I have done all the thing whatever the support center told me about restore and all stuff. After that they told me to visit any apple store but there are no store in India and I'm helpless. For my iPhone only I can't go abroad to that country where stores are. Before I used to believe that apple products are the best but this iPhone has just disappointed me. You know my friend making fun of my mobile because they are using samsung product.
Pleade do some thing for me I have left only 2 month of warranty. other wise I will have to through this on dustbin because everywhere it is insulting me.

Sorry, but the warranty for the iPhone is only valid in the country where you bought the device.
In most of the cases 3rd party apps or settings caused the battery to drain faster than before the new software has been set up. Sometimes the mail app tried to connect to the mail server over and over again, deleting and setting up the mail account can solve this problem.
In other cases social media apps did similar things to the phone.

Multiple ZR2740w failures within one and half year

Hello,
i would like to ask you if it is "normal" for me to have this series of issues with my ZR2740w's (by normal i mean if this is typical problem for this model; i know it is not normal to have that many RMA) :
1) first ZR2740w (let's call it A, bought in December 2011) died completely one month after purchase, panel got replaced via the onsite warranty by a new panel (let's call it B; RMA at end of January 2012).
2) i bought a second ZR2740w (let's call it C) a half year later.
3) C died one month ago after a year (end of April 2013), got replaced by probably a new or refurbished panel (call this one D) :

4) D died today, same (or very similar) issue as C; i expect a replacement panel around Friday or next Monday :

I wonder if it is something at my side, but i can't imagine what, everything else works fine. Socket voltage is withing tolerance (voltage here in Slovakia should be 230V, my socket has 236V which is within the +/-5% tolerance), the issue happens using any of connections (DVI/DP), from any source (tried 2 different computers with 3 different graphic cards - 2x Intel in various computers, 1xNVIDIA), using different power cables. C died when used on Eaton UPS, D died when connected directly to the socket.
While i still have year and half left from the warranty of the older display and nearly 2 years of the newer one, i dislike this happening all the time, as it means i am usually one week without one of my displays, plus i can expect both displays dying within one year after the warranty expires, which is unacceptable for ~600€ display (that is around a half of my monthly salary).
PS: And i don't even mentoin the "running pixels" issue of B on certain backgrounds (gray, blue and similar darker colors) - the pixels are moving from top to bottom, from half to about 3/4 of the display width; this one can be seen mostly when i am closer than 40cm from the display, further away it is nearly invisible (it's hard to catch it on camera, i hope you can see it at the first half of the video) :

PS2: And i am not sure i will be even able to ask for refund once the replacement for D dies again, as it would be the 3rd failure within warranty, but technically the whole panel gets replaced, so not sure if that law applies in this case... Plus it was replaced by an authorized HP service, not by the seller.

Just got a call from service centre, they will replace this display again, and if i get a 3rd failure within the warranty period they will refund me through the seller i bought the display from. Still can't understand why it happens, the only common thing between the failures of C and D is the power socket i get the power from (no issues with other devices connected to the same power line - LCD TV, AVR, two PC's, another ZR2740w, 23xi, Mac Mini), which i cannot change and not even the other ZR2740w has problems with.

Is this an Apple store you are dealing with, or an Apple authorized repair service? If it is only one and a half months old it is still in warranty, unless it has had accidental damage done to it.

My GF4 MX440 TV-OUT finally works after one and half a year!!!

I bought this MSI GF4 MX440 video card in the middle of 2002. It comes with TV-IN and TV-OUT. The TV-IN works well and I can record video by connecting it to the AV-OUT of my TV. However, the TV-OUT didn’t work: after connecting the TV-OUT port to the AV-IN of the TV, the driver detected the TV correctly, but after selected clone option from nView, the whole screen of TV becomes light gray and no picture is displayed at all. I tried more than 5 different drivers (including the original MSI driver) and Win9x, Win2000 and XP, nothing works.
Yesterday I installed TVTool, and strange things happened: when I run TVTool the first time, nothing was changed: the TV is still in light gray color. After I clicked on button “Scan” in “Adjust” tab in TVTool, the screen of computer is displayed in the TV! Even if I quit TVTool, the TV-OUT is still working. I went to the display properties and setup TV as the device for full screen display, then when I use Windows Media Player or Real Player to play a video using normal size, the movie is displayed full screen on TV automatically! It’s really amazing. After stopped playing the video, the TV comes back to display the screen of the monitor again.
After I rebooted the system, the TV-OUT was not working initially, TV displays light gray again. But after run TVTool once without doing anything, the TV-OUT starts working even if quit TVTool now. So now when I want to use TV-OUT, I have to run TVTool once and the quit it. It is much better than nothing works at all.
I cannot explain why this happens. It looks that the TVTool enables something in the chip of the video card. Hope this will help somebody else.
BTW, this is my first and will be the last video card from MSI.

i m also having the same MX440 card , i am also having one problem with it..
i can run the TV-OUT option easily..
but as the screen of computer is displayed in the TV, but when i try to run any movie on my PC and i want to see the movie simultaniously at the same time , it is not possible ..
i can only see it on the primary display which is set.. , it coult be TV or monitor..
i want to see the same movie in both the display at the same time , is that possible ?

When Half day AL & Half day MV applied in IT2001 for 4 hrs, but in IT 0005 leave deducted by 1day. Any advice.

Split your counting rule into two. In the first rule (sequence no. 1), weekday should be selected as
{XXXXX..}
You can set the quota multiplier as 100 here.
In your second rule, weekday should be selected as {.....X.} and the quota multiplier as 50.

I have built a vacation leave holiday system for SharePoint Foundation 2010 using SharePoint Designer workflows and Javascript. Everything works perfectly but I'm struggling to design a solution for users to specify half day requests that span over dates
greater than 1 day, i.e. my half day solution works but only when the start and end date are the same. How would I change the user interface to allow users to choose which day they want the half day to be requested when the vacation leave holiday request is
from, say, 6th - 10th Jan 2014?

I have a test on my machine with a custom approval workflow and it can work normally .Here are the detailed steps :
1.
Open the site in SharePoint Designer .Create a workflow to associate with the document library .Set the workflow to start when an item is created and when an item is changed
.Also allow the workflow to start manually .
2.
Choose ‘Collect Data from a user’ .
3.
Click on the data and give a name to the Task created .
4.
Define the custom form field name as ‘Approve ?’ .Set the information type as Choice .
5.
Set the choices as ‘Approve’ and ’Reject’ .Display as Checkboxes .Uncheck the ‘Allow fill-in values’ and ‘Allow blank values’
.Click finish to save .
6.
Click on users and add the users who will approve the documents .
7.
Keep the output to variable as collect .
8.
Add a new step .Choose ‘If any value equals value ’ .Set the any value ‘Data source’ as workflow variables and parameters .Set the ‘Field
from source’ as Variable: collect .
9.
Set the value behind ‘equals ’ as ‘Approve’ .
10.
Add a new action ‘Update list item ’ .Set the item as current item .Add the field Approval status as Approved .
11.
Add an Else-if branch to update the Approval status as Rejected .
12.
Publish the workflow and test in your site .

2 half day leaves on same day.

Hi Experts,
How to apply 2 half day leaves on same day.
Please guide me, i have done the config of counting rules to count 1/2 day for those leaves but while applying leaves collision errors come which deleted another half day leave.
Another query, if i change time constraint and it allows 2 half day leaves on same day, how to restrict(functional config) only 2 half day leaves on same day.
Your valuable inputs are needed.

As far i know, this needs to be handled with exit or enhancement Time constraint does not full fill the requirement we may find some gaps.
