Leave Request Issue in SAP Portal

Hi ,
We are using standard Leave Request Application for UK and Belgium.
In Edit Screen Sickness Leave text we have a drop down to select the type of leave.
In Edit screen its working perfectly, the type of leave which we have selected in dropdown box, these text is not getting passed to the to the Review screen.
We are using the same iView for UK and Belgium.For UK its working fine . The 'type of leave" text is passing to the review screen. This issue is only for Belgium users.
Can any one please let me know any country specific settings i have to do for this in SPRO.

HR Renewal Self Services Integration Issue with SAP Portal

Hi,
We are Implementing HR Renewal 2.0 FP1 and the Self-Services Landing Page to be launched from within SAP Portal.
I have imported the PFCG role ZSAP_EMPLOYEE_ESS_XX_UI5_1 into portal and assigned to the user. The End User read permission is provided.
We see the landing page with all lanes coming up fine when launched from portal. But subsequently when we click on the SAPUI5 delivered applications in the MY INFO Lane like Employee Profile, Salary Statement, Leave Application etc, they open from inside the portal in a new window via the below Standard Launchpad Start URL application

Is any other configurations missing to launch the my info individual service application via portal as NavigationTarget.

PS: No business packages (WD ABAP based etc.,) are installed in the portal side.

Multiple Leave Request iviews in 1 portal instance

Hi Guys,
We are working on EP 7.0, I have 2 questions:
1st question:
current our portal is shared by 3 agencies (A, B,C), which maps with 3 clients (100, 200, 300) in R/3, and the three ESS Leave Request should looks different.e.g: for agent A, he wanna the input field changed to drop down, B wanna add radio button, C wanna add check box, which results in 3 different copies of standard DC "sap.com/esslea" which is the standard DC imported from NWDI, we may need to rename the copies into "AAA.com/esslea" , "BBB.com", "CCC.com/ess~lea", etc, as long as we have 3 different iviews for leave request, anyone knows how to do it? Keep the original DC unchanged, while create extra copies to add customized code.
2nd, any one knows where we can change the client that the Web Dynpro Java iview points to? Can we change in the source code?

ESS: UWL Leave request issue

Hi folks,
We are on EP 7.0 SP13 wit ESS/MSS 600 SP11 (for ERP2005) .
We configured ESS Leave request and facing the below issue.
When an employee takes leave with the leave request application and the manager rejects/approves this leave request,
a work item is send in the UWL Inbox of the employee. Processing this work item leads to the following error:
Application error occurred during request processing.
Details: com.sap.tc.webdynpro.services.sal.core.DispatcherException: The requested deployable object 'com.sap/ess~lea' and application 'LeaveRequest' are not deployed on the server. Please check the used URL for typos.
Exception id: [0018FE28A06E006500000070000032B50004463FEC45E404]
I've checked the SWFVISU transaction and changed the package name of workflow task 'TS12300116' to 'sap.com/esslea', initially, it was 'com.sap/esslea'. Though i make this change and re-register the UWL system, i still get the error when opening the task from UWL Inbox
All ESS/MSS services/webdynpros are deployed without errors.
Does any body have an Idea ??

Hi Karthik,
The error is because in SWFVISU transaction, where the Workflow task is linked with the Leave request approver application ,the package name is wrong.
The task for approval process is TS12300097.
In SWFVISU,
Application name is : LeaveRequestApprover
Package : com.sap/ess~lea
If you notice,the package name mentioned here would be com.sap.xss.hr.lea.appl. Please correct it to com.sap/ess~lea.

Providing Calender option for dates in Leave Request form in ESS Portal

Hello All,
Can anyone tell me how to get the calender option for the From date and To date fields in the craete leave request iview in ESS ?
In the backend R/3 transaction, we are able to see the calender option. But it is not visible in the portal.

Go to:
IMG > Personnel Management > Employee Self-Service (Web Dynpro ABAP) > Service-Specific Settings > Working Time > Leave Request > Processing Processes > Define Processing Processes for Each Rule Group
Select your Rule Group
Under Record Partial-Day Absences in you have three options: Hours and Clock Times / Hours / Clock Times
You should select Hours and save the record.
With this, you will only have the duration and clock times will not be displayed.

ESS/MSS Leave Request Issue

Hello All Experts
We have implemented ESS/MSS. Everything is working fine except the Leave Request approval. The approval request comes to the approver's inbox.When we try to open the approval request, the webdynpro application is getting but there is no data in the same. I mean the webdynpro application which is launched is blank.
Could anyone please try to help me how to make this webdynpro application up and running ?
We are using EP 7.0 with ECC 5.0

I navigated to System Administration --> System Configuration --> Detailed Navigation --> Universal Worklist Workflow à Universal Worklist - Administration
I get a list of
Universal Worklist Systems

SAP_ITS_XSS |   WebFlowConnector           |   Re-Register    | Deactivate

When I click on Re-Register button under Action, I get the following message
Item type registration was successful for the following systems:
- SAP_ITS_XSS (WebFlowConnector)
I have also cleared the cache by navigating to Cache Administration Page
Still the issue remains.

User Exits for Leave Request Application in SAP R/3

Dear All,
In our project, we have implemented leave validations in BADI PT_ABS_REQ. These validations are checked when a leave request is raised from ESS Portal.
However we also want to these validations to be checked when a leave is applied from PA30. Can anyone please suggest where to implement the validations when the requests are applied from R/3?

IE11 Issues with sap portal

Hi,
I am getting compatibility issues in IE11 with SAP portal....I have followed the procedure to set compatibility view(tools-->compatibility view Settings...)..but the issue hasn't been solved.....I am getting this error...the application
was stopped due to critical error rendering....activate compatibility mode....could anybody tell me what are the different ways to activate compatibility mode in IE11

ESS leave request issue?

Hi Gurus,
I have an requirement where in which if employee enters (Employee total working hours is 8 hours per day) 4 hours in the hours column of the ESS leave request page.
He has to get 0.5 days in the no of days column in the ESS leave request page.
Then if employee choose the leave type as Sick Leave (It will be generic in standard ESS) he has to get the column where in which he can enter the reason for the same.
EP 7.0 and backend is ECC6.0 and am using ESS/MSS 60.2 business package.
Is there any patch is avaiable to incorprate the above requirement into standard ESS/leave request page.
Higher points will be rewarded for valuble inputs.......
This is very urgent requirement............

Critical error in leave request

Dear All,
Following error is getting only for some users when they click on Leave request link in E-portal. We have EP 7.
I have searched previously posted threads for this type of issue & checked for points suggested in those threads. But everything seem to be ok.
1. Leave request config is proper
2. WEBMO maintained is ok.
3. Infotype 0105 subtype 0001 is maintained & ESS role is assigned using Tcode HRUSER.
4. Leave quota is updated in 2006.
Error I am getting
Critical Error
A critical error has occured. Processing of the service was terminated. Unsaved data has been lost.
Contact your system administrator.
       User does not exist in this period                                 , error key: RFC_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE
       User does not exist in this period                                 , error key:
RFC_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE:com.sap.tc.webdynpro.modelimpl.dynamicrfc.WDDynamicRFCExecuteException:      User does not exist in this period                                 , error key: RFC_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE
For other users entire leave request & leave approval process is happening properly. leaves are also getting updated in 2001. Then why the error is for only few users?system has gone live & people are not able to apply leaves

Thanks for your immediate response.
Yes, I had already checked this scenario giving SAP_ALL authorization, same error is coming & I don't think so authorization would be the problem cause for other users entire leave request & leave approval is happening properly with assigned ESS Role.
Also respective user Id was already created in R/3 & maintained in infotype 0105 subtype 0001 using HRUSER Transaction. Same user ID was created in portal & employee is logging-in with that Id. Validity period is also proper.
Also I want to put one more point here that whenever I don't maintained user Id in 0105 subtype 0001 for a particular employee & if he is logging-in with that ID, Error coming is only 'User 'XY' doesn't exist in this period'. where XY is user ID.
But for the case in qustion even if Id is maintained in 0105, error coming is 'User doesn't exist in this period ...RFC_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE'.
Also all other applications like time account,payslips, personal information are working fine for that user.

Leave Request Webdynpro

Dear All,
We are on ECC 6 and EP 7 SP9 with business package 9. When i try to browse the leave request webdynpro page. It give me some error message like
Index: 0, Size: 0
java.lang.IndexOutOfBoundsException: Index: 0, Size: 0
at java.util.ArrayList.RangeCheck(ArrayList.java:507)
at java.util.ArrayList.get(ArrayList.java:324)
at com.sap.aii.proxy.framework.core.JcoBaseList.get
and etc.
This suppose to be a standard leave page and do i need any configuration?
Anyone know whats wrong with this page?

Hi
Yah some configuration is required to access the leave request page in the portal even it is the standard page of ECC.
first you have to create JCO connection from portal to ECC thru content admin->webdynpro->create JCO connection
once you have to create JCO connection then you can test the connection.
before that also u have to create the ECC system object in portal and assign this system alias to the properties of the webdynpro ivew where you want to access leave request page
in portal.
if u want then you can map this ECC system to any user thru Usermapping of SSO.

It's not a form, it's an Iview. You can access the Iview in 2 ways:
1. Via Content administrator, on the following path:
Portal Content
Content Provided by SAP
End User Content
Employee Self-Service
iViews
Working Time
Leave Request
2. Via Portal Directly, on Links:
ESS -> Working Time -> Submit Leave Request
(opc). Or via the Service directly. But this is only used for testing purposes. You can access the service via the following url:
http://HOST:PORT/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/ess~lea/LeaveRequest

ESS Leave Request - Custom validations

Hello all,
As I understand SAP does not perform any custom validations (which we might have coded within the PBAS0001 enhancement OR the HRPAD00INFTY business add in) when requesting a absence from ESS~LEA leave request iView from the portal.
Hence to validate the absence record, I attempted to insert the HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION function module and run it in CHK operation mode to validate the data in the PT_GEN_REQ~START_WF business add in method.
If the validation fails I return RETURN_CODE as non-zero from the business addin. However I keep getting a dump as a result.
Can anyone advice if this has been tried successfully and any alternate if @ all?

Error in Leave Request screen

Hi All,
Particular group of employess are facing problem in accessing leave request screen in the portal. They are getting the following error.
*********Error**************
"There are no customizing settings for absence type".
Please guide me in resolving this.

Hi,
Can you check if the absence is correctly maintained, also make sure absence which were available earlier are customised correctly and not delimited or removed.
Check t-code "PTARQ" .
Hope the tasks are set to "General Task"
SPRO> Time Management>Web Application>Leave Request(new)>Link Absence types and workflow templates.
