Hello,
how do I remove music from my ipad 2 but leave it on my iphone 4s? Same question for apps and photos, what if I want to remove certain apps on one device but leave on the other? Does iTunes recognice each device as its own entity?

so will itunes remember which items I choose to sync or not sync depending on which device is plugged into the computer everytime I plug a device in?

If you have a Mac, you can have multiple devices plugged in and syncing simultaneously. They'll be treated as independent devices (because that's what they are).
This is the way all Apple devices have worked right from the very first iPod over 10 years ago.

I have a question regarding Icloud and unlinking an Icloud account from a device such as an iphone. HELP!! WRT54G2 works for one computer, but not for the other

I have a WRT54G2 and it is connected to 2 computers. The internet works in one computer, but not on the other. The tech support said i needed to configure it or firmware or something like that. But my product is out of warranty and I really need the internet on the other computer as well. Please Help!!!

As your one computer is working fine then there is no problem with the router so far...

If it's corrupt, generally it would be lost.
However, there is third-party software out there that can retrieve some of the data, those of which however I could not recommend as I have never done so myself.
Also, if the old 4S was running a more recent software version than the current 4S, that may cause the issue however usually iTunes tells you exactly that.
Good luck in retrieving that information.

When I click on the .Mac I get the msg "The application System Preferences quit unexpectedly". I tried (six time and different days) using TimeMachine to Restore the OS--one time I get MobileMe but lose my iPhoto app and pics. To get iPhoto back I go back to .Mac. I don't understand why the updates worked on one machine and not the other. I can't Sync the two. Any ideas? Thanks.

Same problem, hours invested in this. Not sure Microsoft can catch up to Apple software, but Apple sure caught up to Microsoft in one, really bad, "upgrade" called MobileMe.

I am having trouble with my bookmark bar changing order between my devices. I have them organized for convenience, but when I arrange them on one device they change on the others to a different order. how can I fix this?

I have 2 desktops and a laptops connected by Firefox sync which I set up at some time during the beta. I have several folders, dividers, and bookmarks on the toolbar which I try to keep organized based on their use (web design, hardware/tech support sites, personal, etc) but when I arrange them on one computer it screws them up on the others. I would like for it either to keep them in the same order on all machines, or at least have to arrange them on each machine separately without them affecting the other so they stay where I put them. Does anyone know how I can accomplish this?

This is what I'd suggest get your machines matched. Sync your machines so all data is on both. Then pick one to get all of your organizing as you want it. (or do this before you even setup sync) Then, when you do your initial sync from that organized machine, select: replace all other devices with this computers data. (you can also do that as Manage Account > reset sync.
After that, changes in order on one machine should be reflected on the other. Remember though Sync '''merges ''' the data from your machines. If you work on two machines side by side and make order changes on both without syncing either, once you do sync, Sync will have to again figure out how to merge the incongruities, which may not be what you expect.. Be careful, if order is important to you.

I use Comcast for email and my email downloads both on my iPad and on my macro which I want, but if I read and delete on either device it is not deleted on the other device. Anything I can do soma delete on one device deletes it on the other device?

If I delete an email on my iPad it is not deleted on my macro. I wonder if anyone knows how to delete on one device and have the deletion concurrently work on the other device I use Comcast e mail.

Had problems sending emails from my iphone and ipad through Comcast. Apple could not solve the problem, contacted Comcast and they stated that they had issues with the Apple iphone and ipad and told me to download the "Xfinity connect ap" did so and everything works better than before. When I used the Apple email had to trash what I did not want on Apple and then when I went to Comcast the email were still there. Using the xfinity ap, when I delete on the iphone or the ipad the emails are deleted at all places. Before I had to delete on my iphone and then my ipad and then when i went to my computer they were still there and I had to delete there also, which was a real pain. Still can send and rec email from my icloud account, but comcast email are handled through xfinity connect

Hp d110a prints blurry from any iOS device, but not from any other kind of device.

My D110a prints blurry...almost like a shadow...when printing via AirPrint on any iOS device, but if I print from other devices, or just print a report, it prints correctly. I have attempted to search on the device's control panel (both on the device and web-based) to see if there is a print setting, and I will also check my router.
Does anyone know why this would be happening? I have access to another HP ePrint All-In-One at my job, and my iPad prints fine to that printer.

Welcome to the HP Support Forums! I understand when printing from Apple Devices with the AirPrint driver it prints blurry. We know it is not the HP Photosmart D110a, as you can print reports from the front panel with no problem and all other Operating systems are fine and print correctly. Please let me know the following:
1. Is the D110a connected directly to a wall outlet, without power strips or surge protectors connected?
2. What other devices are you able to successfully print from, and how are they connected USB or Wireless>
3. Do you have any software installed on the devices that are able to print from?

When using iCloud Mail with a laptop and smartphone, how do I delete an e-mail from one without deleting it from the other?

I recently have started using iCloud for Mail on both my laptop (MacBookPro, OSX 10.8.5) and my smartphone (iPhone4, iOS7.1.1).
I understand that with iCloud mail is stored in the cloud. Is there a way of erasing a message from either the laptop or the smartphone while leaving it on the other? How?

iCloud uses a form of IMAP for mail, meaning that by default, the mail should appear the same on any device accessing the account, and anything done to the mail (such as deleting it) should apply to all devices. If you like, you may want to make a local copy of the mail prior to deleting it; the following article may be helpful:

Risk terminator - Works in one system but not in the other

I have two SAP systems which is connected to one GRC system. Risk Terminator works well for the one system but does not work at all for the other.
I have done the necessary configuration, set-up the RFC connector, tested the connectors, tested the connections from the GRC system. All seems fine but when I create a role in PFCG risk terminator does not seem to be trigged at all in my one system.

I would check the adapter for the other system and that the external program is maintained correctly along with all the settings in /VIRSA/ZRTCNFG

How do you keep one phones contacts, calendar, etc from another phone when syncing with itunes?

Disable auto-syncing. Here’s how:
1. Before you plug the iPhone or iPod into the computer, go to iTunes.
2. On a Mac, go to the iTunes menu -> Preferences -> Devices.
On a PC, go to Edit -> Settings -> Devices
3. In the pop up window, look for the icon or tab that says Devices. Choose it.
4. Just below the box, you’ll see a checkbox reading "Prevent iPods, iPhones, and iPads from syncing automatically."
5. Check it and click OK at the bottom of the window.
Now when you plug the phone in it won't automatically star syncing.

Help with form values being taken by one servlet but not by the other

I have 2 servlets one called the DataCollectServlet and the other the DBInsertServlet.

Works with the DataCollectServlet , but it doesnt work with the DBInsertServlet.
What could be the problem.It would be great if someone gives a detailed explaination.

It all depends on how your e-mail provider talks to the iPad. Some allow a lot of control, others not so much. My Yahoo works seamlessly between my Touch, iPad and computer. My hotmail, however, won't show up as 'read' on all devices, i have to open it on each one.
Some e-mails will allow you to tweak those settings and let your device alter what's on the server, others won't.
What e-mail program/provider are you dealing with?

External Hard Drive doesn't work on one usb, but works on the other, help?!

I have a very strange issue here. When connecting my external portable Maxtor 60GB disc to my MBP, I usually use the usb port on the right side of my laptop. However tonight, I connected it to the left usb port and noticed a horrible clicking sound coming from the otherwise silent drive. It made repeated clicking/scratching sounds and wouldn't mount and crashed OS X. Then I connected it to the right hand USB port and it mounted and worked like nothing else happened.
Has ANYONE experienced/can explain this bizarre phenomenon? Is it time to trade in my Maxtor for a new drive? I've only had it for a year and a half. Thank you!!

It's a power issue, use a 2-1 USB cord, a powered hub or an external power supply.
