Leave with approval status ''Work in progress''

Hi,
I try to delete or complete the leave with approval status ''Work in progress'' and there is no way to do that .. can anybody help .
This issue happened when i request annual leave and the session expired .. i login again and i found the request stuck at absence summary and i can't do any thing even deleting.

Yes i know its not should be disabled at site level i did that on test envroment .
i tried to put it at user but its not possible
after i put the profile on value 'Yes' the delete and update columns appeared at absence summary with warning massege and i can delete the Leave with approval status ''Work in progress'':

I don't think you're going to be able to. Usually Approval Status is used in conjunction with Major/Minor versioning and while Approval Status is pending the item is usually a draft.
As a result the search crawler should not be able to see the draft items as it would not have the necessary rights to do so. (Good practice ensures that the Search Crawler has only read access and is not an elevated account for this reason)

Absence request status = "Work in Progress" ?? in SSHR

Hi exprts
we tried to post an absnece request (ex. holiday). The status is set to "Work in Progress". The approver is also nominated. But he did not get the request for approval.
Question: What can be the reason.
Now if w click on yellow pencile for update and submit it the approver will get the notification, and the status is set to "Pending for Approval".
Question: Have somebody facing this issue, and what is your suggestion.

Solution:
1. You request for holiday, than cliking on Next -next, Next.
2. before submit you are clicking on Home button
3. A message window appear(the changes you mad.......)
4. Click on Ok
4. Comming back to your Summary page and you see: The Approval Status is set to Work in Progress and Absnece status is set to confirmed. In this case you must sendyour request again.
That was the reason and solution.

Need to Display Approvers name with approval status in PR

Hi,
We have a requirement to display the Approvers name with the approval status(for each Approve) in the purchase requisition. the developer has all the logic to achieve this and he said we cannot display this in the release strategy tab in PR but we can display the same in the tab- Customer data at the item level since it has more space. the user came back saying we should have this information in a new tab in PR with the name Approvers overview or else in any place in PR where the Buyers can easily identify where to find the list of approver names in the PR.we don't want to create a new custom tab just for this reason in the PR item. not sure whether we can really create one.
can you please let me know where can we display the Approvers name in the PR(item level)so that the users can easily identify those.
just wanted to know how is this handled in your company do you display the approvers name with release status any where in the PR, if yes where do you display?

Confirmation of goods with "Approved" Status

Hi All,
We are at SRM7.0 and working on extended classic.
After performing confirmation of goods receipt in SRM, the status is still showing as "approved" and not "posted in backend".
Kindly let us know how to reprocess these confirmations in SRM system.

Hi Masa,
The document status in BBP_PD is showing as I1022 (Inactive = Blank).
There is no entry with status "Currently being transferred" in Status section in BBP_PD for this confirmation.
Checked in RZ20 tcode and didn't find any error related to this.
I tried executing the FM - BBP_PD_CONF_TRANSFER and BBP_PD_CONF_TRANSFER_V2. But no success.
If there is a way to process this confirmation again then pls let me know.

ESS Leave Request Approval Not working

We here have ESS1.0, ECC 6 and EP 7 on NW2004s.
Problem which i am facing is in Leave Request.
An employee enter his leave details and send it to its boss.
and the boss check the same in his UWL uptil this its working fine.
But when the boss click on the Leave request in UWL to approve or reject the same then error comes.
The error is "<u><b>Application error occurred during request processing.
Details: com.sap.tc.webdynpro.services.exceptions.WDRuntimeException: Wrong WebDynpro-URL: no application name specified

proove, if you use the following things:
In the portal under "Universal Worklist - Administration" you must fill out the parameter "Web dynpro launch system" for the binded ECC system you use. Use a portal system (the alias name for the portal system you have created) which links to the Web Application Server where you have deployed(!) your application (if web application server and portal is the same you also must create a portal system with the local web application data). In general, you create and named a portal system like SAP_WebDynpro_XSS and bind it as parameter.
If you do not use this system the Web Dynpro for Approve/ Reject leave request generates a wrong URL with the Web application data from ECC, not for web dynpro.

can we import Project coded POs in Approved status or if there is an API to achieve this without having to trigger PO Approval workflow. Several years ago, as part of Procure.Net project in 11.0.3 version, we used to trigger the Requisition Approval work

Yes.. you can import the PO with approved status and project using PDOI (Purchase Document Open Interface).
Following 3 interface tables are used to import the PO.

I have successfully imported Payroll data to GL Journal using GL Import Program (GL Interface) with APPROVAL STATUS = N/A
Now, My requirement is that the APPROVAL STATUS of journal should remains REQUIRED after importing Journal.

Hi Sanjay,
If i am right, the way you set up the journal approval for a source is by doing the following settings:
1) Enable Journal approval at the SOB level
2) Enable journal approval for the source at the Journal Sources window for the particular source i.e. Payroll
3) Thereafter when you import the journal for the payroll data, using the GL interface the status of the approval flag will be set to required.

SC with awaiting approval status and no work item for Approvers.

Hi Experts,
We are implementing Classic scenario with SRM7.0 and we are having Application controled Workflow.
We are fasing issue in workflow. On SC getting ordered the status is showing as awaiting approval and there is no work item found in BBP_PD.
When we approve this SC in SWO1 then there is no PO getting created.
If the SC value is less than spend limit we have enabled no Workflow and in that case the approval agent table is showing as System Approver and after SC getting ordered the SC is still with the status Awaiting approval.
Can any once have an idea how to go about with this issue.

SP2010 Designer workflow "Set Content Approval Status" does not work

I'm having a problem with a workflow for one of my clients.It is a SharePoint 2010 environment and I can only use SharePoint 2010 designer (no visual studio).
We have an approval workflow in place, which works great. After the document approval workflow has does its thing, a new workflow can be launged by specific users (they have writing rights and can approve content). The workflow is used to set the release
date of the document. This can only be determined after content approval.
However, when the release date is set, the document approval status is changed to concept. This is of course to be expected, as we changed to document metadata. That is why I wanted to add the action "Set content approval" to this workflow. I cannot
seem to get this action to work. Right now the workflow does the following:
check out the document (check out is obligatory in our library)
set the release date field to the released date parameter (defined when starting the workflow)
check in the document
set content approval to approved.
The release date gets set to the parameter value, but the document is not checked in and the content approval status is not set. SharePoint produces the following error message (translated from Dutch): "An error occured. Cannot edit the item, possibly
because one or more columns require another type of content. Unknown error."
Guided by other posts online I gathered that this might be because the actions checkin and set content approval occur to close together. I tried letting the workflow pause for the duration of 1 minute after checking in, but this pauses the workflow indefinitely.
I then tried 5 minutes (as this is the time standard set by SP2010 designer) but this also resulted in indefinite pausing.
Posts online lead me to believe that I'm not the only suffering from this problem, but as of yet, I haven't been able to find a solution that works for me. Hopefully someone can help me.

According to your post, my understanding is that the "Set Content Approval Status" didn’t work in SharePoint 2010 Designer workflow.
I try to reproduce the issue and the result is the same as yours.
If I only check out and check in the item, the workflow works well.
However, once I set Content Approval Status after checking in the item, the workflow get error.
As a workaround, I recommend to use two workflow to achieve what you want.
First, create the first workflow, and allow the workflow to be manually started.
Then, create the second workflow, and
start the workflow automatically when an item is changed.
When you start the first workflow, the document will be set value of the release date. And then the second workflow will be started automatically to set the content approval status.

Error: You are not a receiver of the work item in Leave Request Approval

Hi all,
I have copied the standard leave request workflow and done the customization as per my requirement.
Agent assignment for all the tasks are General Tasks.
We are facing below error when we are trying to approve the leave request from MSS UWL.
"You are not a receiver of the work item.".
This started happening after implementing the note 1501377 which is for clearing the approved leave request
workitems from UWL .
i have gone through the threads related to this issue and tried given solution but no success .
Please let me know if anything else is missing since its happening after implementing the note.

Able to resolve the issue :-).
i was using Fork since my workflow is a two level process.
so the workflow was travelling to both branches one was in ready state another was in waiting state(48hours deadline)
having different agents.
i debugged the 1501377 note code when leave is approved it is looking at last workitem of the request which is waiting state workitem in my case and I was trying to approve the leave from user who is in ready state. then it throws the error.
So i have changed the design of workflow. i have done below things for two level process.
i will have requested end for approval task with outcome in that branch i kept second level approver. My questions
1) i am planning to do write below code to post the entries into infotypes after approval by managers. is it ok or any suggestions?

ECC 6.0 - Leave request show duplicate entries one with ERROR status

We have implemented standard Leave request process, we are facing the issue as mentioned below, Its not happening for all the time, however we want to what scenario this problem will arrives.
Problem description:
E.g. Staff applied annual leave on 10.06.2010, the leave request will sent for approval , after the approval of the leave ,every 30 min. we have scheduled a job which will execute standard program RPTARQPOST to post a leave request to IT2001.
After the approval when staff go into ess and see leave request details under "Show Overview of Leave" and its shows as 2 records for the same period one with APPROVED and another one with ERROR.
