Leaving on EcoShield while charging?

Anyone know if it's ok to leave on the EcoShield protective cover while charging? I noticed they include an adapter for the dock- so they must think you can! But I think in the iPhone manuel it says to remove covers because of heat. Any advice?

I always take my cover off for overnight charging, I leave it on for syncing and also travel in the car.
I have felt it getting a little hot before but nothing close to oven temp or other posted heat problems in these forums.
I would suggest doing a supervised trial.

Some people are more sensative to EMF's then others. If there is a bad connection in your house or in your computer, then you may experience this more then others.
My guess is your house may have some faulty wiring somewhere and needs to be addressed. Get an EMF detector and see if you get spikes in the area of where your plug in your computer. Or rather, call an electrician who can check for these spikes around your house. Some houses, especially older ones, will have electrical problems, but even newer ones can have these since someitmes the laborer who installed it didn't know what they were doing or didn't bother checking.

I rarely if ever turn my iPad off. I charge it when the battery is low or at night while I'm sleeping. Even then I close the Smart Cover and let it sleep but I do not turn it off. It doesn't matter when you charge the iPad.
The most efficient way to charge the iPad is to use the charger that came with it and plug that into a known good wall outlet.

You can leave it plugged in continuously.

One note on the USB. If you are using Windows XP like me, you'll (until you choose otherwise, which you may have already done) be constantly asked what you want to do when you plug in the device (WMP0, Napster, etc, or do nothing). I have chosen to always "do nothing." Doing this will allow you to plug in the player, Windows really "does nothing," and the player will show that it's being charged (just as the AC adapter would be doing). You can then be playing while charging, attached to the USB. As soon as you launch WMP0 or Napster, however, the player goes into docked mode until you leave the application.

Yes. Connect the ipod to your computer, and once it's recognized by iTunes, safely disconnect it (eject the iPod as normal). Leave it connected via the cable and the iPod will receive a charge whilst you use it.
The transfer of songs is a huge drain on the iPods battery, therefor it is essential to have power supplied to it or else the transfer may fail.
So, even if you were able to stop the charge (and you can't), you wouldn't want to.

M300 is powered on while charging

unlike other creative mp3 players "Creative Zen Style M300" is powered on whenever it is connected to the charger.
Then i switch it off (while it is charging) and it is powered on by itself again!!!!
I think that this fact reduces battery's life.
I have already changed the firmware to the newest version v1.00.22e (europe) (i live in Greece).
I have 3 questions :
1) Is there any way that you can release a new firmware for "Creative Zen Style M300" ?
2) Is there any other solution to my problem?

Thanks for that, helpful but not really the solution I'm looking for. I'm sure that the LED's or whatever they use to illuminate the screen don't last forever and from use of old Apple laptops that used fluro tubes, I know that when the screen illumination dies in you LCD screen it's cheaper to buy a new LCD and/or laptop than worrying about the expense and time involved in repairing it.
Design 'flaws' like this smell of planned obsolescence to me - as I'm sure that many people leave their Nano's charging overnight and to be loosing 6-8 hours of screen life like this with every charge would really shorten your screen time in the long run - even for LED. I guess I'm hoping that someone has a hack or command that means I can at least switch the illumination off, if not make the whole screen power off completely.
Maybe someone from Apple knows more about the screen life in the Nano and can, ahem, shed some light on this issue?

If you're using generic lightning cable (non-original lighting cable), the fingerprint scan doesn't work while charging.
I just find it weird as my iphone 5s works even if i'm not using the original lightning cable though.

Then put a SIM in. You cannot activate an iPhone without a compatible Sim.

If you have a recent back up on your computer try restoring that to your phone using your computer. Plug in the phone to the computer and with itunes on right click on the phone name in left column and hten select restore

Try this
Restart iPhone: Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the home button together until the apple logo appears (ignore the ON/OFF slider) then let both buttons go and wait for phone to restart (no data will be lost).
Using the phone while charging doesn't create a problem.. I do it all the time
