Leeds Website forms will not display with Acrobat Reader DC

After updating to Acrobat Reader DC, can no longer view or fill in forms on Leeds website. Error message says it needs to be Reader Xi. Are previous versions available somewhere?

Using Windows 7. Tried with Firefox and IE 11. Same results.

The form opens fine in internet explorer, but when opened with chrome and mozilla it says that parts of the document could not be displayed and the 'submit form' and 'print' functions do not work? how do I get it so that the forms open with adobe reader as a pdf automatically instead of opening in another search engine tab?

Chrome and Firefox use their default PDF viewers instead of Adobe Acrobat / Reader and hence most PDFs will not be fully functional in those.
For that you just need to change the settings :-

Form XObject not displaying in Acrobat Reader

I've written a PDF library that from what I can tell follows the PDF Specification. However no matter how hard I try, I can't figure out why I'm not getting Form XObject with a content stream to display inside another page. There isn't really a good example in the PDF Specification, and i've been unable to locate a PDF online that uses this feature.
The only reference I am aware of having required to the XObject is in the page's resources, where it is given a name. I then just apply a transform and then perform a Do graphics operation. Everything in the specification states that should do the job; BUT the specification never actually shows the complete use of a form, just how its created. The rest I have peiced together from using Image XObjects.
Any ideas as to what is wrong? Acrobat displays no error messages, just an empty page.

Leonard, amazing. I had tried a 1 0 0 1 0 0 matrix before with no success, but changing that this time worked. I'm stumped, of course when you change alot of things at once to try to find a problem you can often overlook a fix.
The first transform actually is ignored, now that its fixed i tried it with and without that transform; its ignored because I push and pop the stack (normally I display a test image xobject in there, but while trying to figure out this form problem I disabled the image output)
Thanks again, I spent several days looking over the insides of countless PDFs trying to find a good example of form xobjects.

Emoticons Will not display with new version

Downloaded the new version, and now the (finger) and (wtf) emoticons will not display. Every single other one does display. Why is this happening? I have tried restarting my computer, and redownloading Skype itself. Is there any way to fix this? I know I have the emoticons display on because every one BUT those ones work.

These hidden emoticons indeed got removed with 6.14 because of them or their shortcodes having the potential to offend some users. When I pull up my Pinterest website, it will not display pictures, only some words. It's like the links are broken.

When I pull up Pinterest, the pictures on my boards will not show up. It just has some words. It said it may be because my browser was not updated. I was using Internet Explorer and I tried updating to Windows Microsoft 8. That did not solve the problem. I then installed Firefox as my browser but the pictures still do not come up. It did not give me that error message though that my browser was out of date. What do I need to do to make Pinterest work correctly and show images and video clips that are on my boards and on the site in general?

I had this problem. I solved it by disabling the Avast Online Security Extension 9.0.2006.53 updated Dec. 11, 2013.

Fillable Form will not print from Adobe Reader on iPad or iPhone - Works on a PC

I created a fillable form in Adobe Acrobat X Pro. I saved it giving it full Adobe Reader capabilities. I emailed it to myself and a friend so that we could open it up on our iPad and iPhone using Adobe Reader, fill in the information and then print the document. When we send to print, it only prints the form, but not anything we entered. When I opened the document in Adobe Reader on my Dell PC, it worked fine and I could print the document including everything that I entered. What could the glitch be with iPad and iPhone. We are running the latest IOS6 version with Adobe Reader installed. Why won't this work?

It should work with the update to Reader 10.4. "Enhaned compatibility with AirPrint means improved printing of completed forms as well as documents with comments."
I don't have AirPrint on my printer to test. Is your printer AirPrint compatible?
I can get it to work with Printer Pro which I'm running on my iPad.

Attachments will not open with Adobe Reader

Just yesterday, email attachments sent in PDF form will no longer open. The window will open, display no content then immediately closes. Ive tried every tutorial available through the Adobe website.
Anyone have any suggestions?

What is your email client?
Does this also happen when you open an existing local PDF?

Can't open lotus notes links with acrobat reader XI

We had acrobat reader 9 a few month ago. We did an upgrade to XI. Since the upgrade, we can't open lotus notes link in PDF. I receve a message : Could not open the file 'Notes://<server>/85256E990056A5F7/428FA5DA3ED9D82485256E6D005FA7AB/ED916EF56E1CC50B85257 545005AB67B'. (<server> is the name of my server)
The path is working. I can paste it in run and it's working. If I downgrade to reader 9, the link work with the same PDF.
I did some trace with procmon and I can see acrobat trying to open C:\WINDOWS\system32\Notes:\<server>\85256E990056A5F7\428FA5DA3ED9D82485256E6D005FA7AB\ED9 16EF56E1CC50B85257545005AB67B
I can't find anything about this issue...
anybody has an idea?

Flash content will not display with Player: 10.3.183.7

I helped to design a website last year in Flash based off a template purchased from myflashxml.com. Up until the latest version of flash 10.3, all seemed to work ok. As soon as upgrading to 10.3, we see the shift up to the left on the intro and then no content displayed on the actual website (two different flash files).
I understand the issue with the shifting to the left, but I cannot seem to figure out the problem with the second flash file not loading anything, just simply a blank black screen. I have uninstalled 10.3 using the uninstaller, installed archived versions of flash player and the archived versions work properly, even on IE9. As soon as I upgrade the latest flash version, I begin to see the same issues.
I am currently running a few different computers with a few different setups. I have tried this on multiple machines with the following setups:
All are Intel processors.
Windows 7 Professional 64bit (icore5)
IE8, IE9, Firefox
Windows Vista Ultimate 64bit (core 2 duo)
IE8, Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari
Windows 7 Professional 64bit (core 2 duo)
IE8, Firefox
If anyone has any suggestions as to what to try, I am completely open. Please let me know if you need more information.

Could you send the swf's that aren't loading to [email protected]? I'll take a look and see if I can spot any issues.

PC will not display with ATI videocard

Hi all,
I have a problem with my MSI 970A-G46 mainboard and my MSI 6970 lightning videocard.
When i try to upgrade my girlfriends PC from a Nvidia gtx 460 to a MSI 6970 the screen stays black when i boot with the 6970.
When i boot with the Nvidia card everything works just fine.
When i have both cards in and have the Nvidia in the first PCI-E slot and the MSI in the second slot and hook up a monitor to both cards the 6970 will display as a second monitor.
So this should tell me the 6970 is not broken and the 6970 comes from my home PC and it worked just fine there
I tried to uninstall all Nvidia drivers/files even from the registry and use driversweeper too, but no luck.
Does anyone have any bright ideas or has someone had a simular problem?
I hope somebody can help me out..

I could not wait till tomorrow, so i went over and i cleared the CMOS, but nothing changed. It still starts up with a black screen.
What I did notice is that when i plugged the DVI cable into the card, the display stopped saying no signal.
So it does respond to the card. Well sort of .
I will take the card home for testing in my own PC tomorrow, as that is the PC where the card came from.
If it doesnt work there i guess something happend to it..

Formulas containing stringVar assignments will not display with CrystalReportViewer.jsp

I have removed the last post because I have done extensive testing today and have narrowed down my problem. The following formula will display in Crystal Reports XI just fine:stringVar x := {Command.STREET} + " : " + {Command.VALID};x;Yet when deployed onto our weblogic server, this formula field comes up blank. If I change the formula to: {Command.STREET} + " : " + {Command.VALID}; the formula is displayed fine both in Crystal and on our website. Our formula is for appending a massive address field together that has possible null values and inserts a special character if a null value is present so the end user knows "Hey, this guy didn't supply us with his zip code" or whatever the case may be. We NEED some sort of variable declaration in our formulas and then have them displayed over WebLogic. If there is any hack around or any update or something that we need to implement, please let me know. -Sam MHBF Group, Inc

Functioning Monitor will not display with Mac Mini

I'm trying to get an IBM E74 CRT monitor working with an early 2009 Mac Mini. I have it connected with Apple's mini-DVI to VGA adapater. The Mac "sees" the monitor since with screen sharing I can see the Display System Preference when the monitor is attached. It shows the monitor as an IBM E74 and allows what appear to be appropriate choices as far as resolution and refresh rate are concerned. I tried many combinations of resolution and refresh rate with no difference in behavior.
The monitor always acts like no signal is detected (built it message on monitor display). This monitor works fine with a B&W G3 and a late 2007 MacBook Pro. Any ideas why the Mac Mini is not driving the monitor? Have tried all combinations cycling power on the monitor, connecting / disconnecting while the Mac Mini is power up. Have had the monitor connected and powered on when booting the Mac Mini. For whatever reason the monitor does not seem to work with the Mac Mini, but works fine with other computers.
The monitor despite its' age has pretty low time on it and is quite serviceable. Are there quirks with the VGA interface that we may be running into? I would like to get this combo working together if at all possible.

I would say the VGA interface did evolve somewhat over that time period. In particular, the thing that may have changed that could be the underlying cause of the problem is sync termination impedance has trended upwards. It's not unusual to find older monitors with low impedance on sync. Some even had 75 ohm impedance, which required a line driver for sync the same as for video.
It could be the IBM monitor has fairly low termination impedance and the mini is unable to provide sufficient output on the sync lines to drive TTL levels, whereas the MBP is doing better. You could check this with a simple ohm meter with the IBM monitor turned off. Ideally, for the mini, you would want to see a high impedance reading on H and V sync, like close to 2k ohms. If it's 500 ohms or less, then the mini may not be able to drive sync properly.
On an old monitor like that, it is likely to have old fashioned components with axial leads rather than surface mount components. If you are handy with a soldering iron, you could find the offending resistors and bring the monitor up to a more modern, high impedance standard of 1.8k to 2.2k.

My contact names will not display with incoming calls

I just received the I-phone 4S. I had the 3GS. I have synced properly on i-tunes, but now some of my contact names do not show up on incoming calls. Help.

Password protected files not opening with acrobat reader 9

I receive text file embedded in a PDF which is password protected. I just changed my comp from Vista to Windows 7 64 Bit and got the reader 9 duly updated. Earlier I was using reader 7 and the files used to work and open. Now they do not open and their is a big PIN mark on giving the password. The following message is displayed "Acrobat cannot open the file attachment because your PDF file attachment settings do not allow this file type to be opened" the file type is ZIP. Please help

my question is can I uninstall reader 9 and install reader 7.
