  • Ipod mini headphone buzzing

Hi, I have a 1 month and a bit old ipod mini and the left headphone is buzzing with the lower frequencies. Is there a way I can send these back to Apple and get another pair?
Thank you anyone in advance for any information.
I suppose I should write to apple maybe????

There is probably a hair touching the plastic diaphram of the headphone.
I have been able to pop the cover off on mine and pull the hair out.
If under warranty, don't bother, just send them in for replacement.

  • Volume too low on left headphones

I have had my iPod for about 3 months, and yesterday, it suddenly lowered the volume only on the left headphone. I have restored and updated the iPod, but it hasn't fixed the problem. I also increased the sound volume, etc. but that only made the right headphone too loud, and the left headphone only a little louder. I am concerned that there is something wrong with the jack -- but it is only 3 months old. I hope this isn't a sign that this purchase was a mistake... Any ideas?

It looks like you're not the only one with that problem. Does your iTouch have a case?

  • No sound in left headphone

    This is my first macbook.
Mine is Macbook Pro 13" 2.3 GHz Intel Core i5.
    OS is OS X 10.6.8.
It was ok at the beginning but there has been no sound in left headphone from the some point which I don't remember.
My headphone works fine when it is connected to other devices like iPhone.
And left/right balance on Sys Pref is also in center.
This is very irritating for me.
Did anyone have the same problem and fix it?

sorry i am not so good with computers etc so this is maybe not help to you but this is just telling my experience=)
I had the same thing which happened but on my ipod and i took it to the apple store, and the person told me there are 2 connectors in the socket one for each earphone, and one was knocked out of place so they gave me a new iPod
maybe they will do the same for your macbook=)

  • Only hearing vocals in left headphone, plug ins on right, why? logic 9

i just bought a new akg mic and N.I. Komplete audio interface.  when i try and record vocals i only hear it in the left headphone, and when i add a plug in on the track i only hear it in the right headphone.  how would i set my pref. to have vocals and plugins play in both?

Sounds like you're creating stereo tracks.
Try creating a new track, and selecting Mono as your Format.

  • Left headphone audio output is slow as compared to right ear phone

I have Macbook Pro and since last few days left headphone audio output has became very slow as compared to right headphone audio output. I have tried multiple headphones but no luck so its problem with audio jack I think.
Did anyone experience same problem? Kindly please guide.
    Thanks in advacne.

This a new one for me, the is slower?
    Trya pram reset:
Power off, power back on holding the following keys before the start up chime.
option, command, P,R (no commas) continue to hold these keys till you hear the start chime 2 times and release.
    Reboot, see if this helps.

  • Loss of sound in left headphone.

I bought an 80g classic 2 weeks ago and a few days ago i lost sound in my left headphone. I switched headphones to see if my headphones was the proble and still no sound in the left one and assumed its an iPod problem. Is there any way to fix this problem? or do i go to Bestbuy and exchange it for a new one?? Thanks.
    Tommy

Only two weeks old? Go back and exchange it. Since you've already tested the headphones, there's nothing you can do that would not void the warranty.

  • Ipod touch only plays through left headphone/speaker

my ipod touch first gen recently started only working through my left headphone, at first i thought it was the headphones but then i tried it with numerous other headphones and speakers etc and it still only plays through one.
I've reset, restored the ipod and tried everything if any one can help it would be greatly appreciated.

What happens if my itouch is 2 months out of warranty? I don't think it's reasonable to ask me to purchase a new one for a headphone jack problem. I expect a 300.00 piece of electronics to last more than 14 months, call me crazy. Does anyone have a suggestion other than replace? The Apple Store in Orlando told me it would cost about the same as a new one to fix it. Please help!

  • Music will not play in the left headphone.

Ok, so I have a first generation iPod touch and have had it for about three years now, and it has worked perfectly fine until recently I will go to play music with headphones in and it will not play out of the left headphone. At first I thought it was my headphones, since I have blown them out before, but I tried plugging several types of headphones, even apple brand, and I get the same result. It also does not play music out of the left-hand speaker in my iHome. You have to move the headphones and hold them in a certain way or it won't work, Pleaseeeee help me.

Where have you tried to get help?
basics from the manual are restart, reset, restore.
If that fails, then make an appointment at the genius bar.

  • TS1574 Sound only from Left Headphone w/ MacBook Pro

Any external headphone that I use with my 13" Macbook Pro, the sound only comes out of the left headphone. The slider in my System Preferances is in the middle, and the headphones are all the way into the jack. Any ideas?

    Often resetting the settings helps.
    Syst.Preference > Sound > Output > External
    Try Reset SMC.

    Choose the method for
"Resetting SMC on portables with a battery you should not remove on your own".
    Best.

  • Left headphone trouble

i have an itouch 2g and sometimes when i watch a video on safari the status bar goes sideways and the screens vertical. then, after the video the audio of the video plays again even though im not watching it. then i noticed my left headphone stopped working. it wouldnt work on anything else. so i got another pair and it was working fine but the same thing happened again, any ideas of what is going on?

Make sure the headphones work fine, check them on other computers etc. I it still doesn't solve the problem check the sound balance in system prefrences, sound, output. I all else fails try runnning the hardware check disk and taking it to an Apple shop

  • Left Fan buzzing and ticking!!!!

    hello people,
i've had my new macbook pro late 2008 for the past 2 months, and just out of nowhere i started hearing a left fan buzzing and ticking. the sound comes and goes every 5 minutes and stays for a long time, and it also starts as soon as i turn my mac on, then goes off then back on again and so forth and so on. this is really annoying. i am wondering is this normal?? would this get worse and affect my mac in any way?? and most important is there any way i can fix this or get rid of this left fan issue??
thank you in advance for all.

This happened to me too - MBP was perfectly silent for about a month, then the left-hand fan started buzzing, not too loudly, but enough to be audible. I thought it might just "wear itself in", but the noise increased instead of decreasing over time.
I took it in to a repair centre last week, they confirmed the fan was faulty and have ordered a new one, will arrive this week. Hopefully the new one will solve the problem.
Just for information: the new design makes the fans very accessible and easy to replace, so this is not a difficult job, nor is it likely that a technician might damage the computer in another way in order to get at the fans, as might have been the case in other models with more complicated internals.
Also, if you want to risk voiding your warranty, ifixit.com sells replacement parts you can install yourself, including the fans. But I wouldn't suggest this while the computer still has any warranty left - get Apple to repair things for you.

  • There is a problem with the left headphone or stereo  headphone jack connection in the ipod touch 2nd generation

I have had my ipod touch 2nd generation for 3 yrs. Now its been a year with this problem but i never seem to get it fixed because i lost my warranty and repair certificate a year ago. So  the problem is whenever I put in a headphone jack for some reason only the right head phone or right speaker works not the left, but when i place the ipod on the docking port both speakers on my stereo work.
Now I have taken great care of this thing. Never lost it. I assume that a connection inside the jack port is pushed in from debrie (forgot how to spell that word)  because, I always place my ipod into my pocket. The only way to get the left speaker or headphone to work is to push on the headphone jack so it tilts, then the left speaker works; but when i release it the left speaker or headphone turns off or stop making sound. So i know its not wiring problems its the connection for the headphone jack to the ipods jack's connection for the left speaker. Though microphones work.
My question is can this be a DIY or do i have to take it in to a local apple store. Problem i lost the warranty and protection repair form or license 2 years ago. I have had no problems with my ipod at all these years until this problem has consisted to happen since last year.
    Anything?
    Thanks,
    Sigma119

    - If you want to replace the headphone jack yourself see:
    iPod Touch Repair - iFixit
    - Apple will only exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for this price, You get a new battery.  However, it may not be worth it for a 2G iPod.

  • T500 headphones buzzing issue!

I just bought a T500 used, and most sounds buzz with every pair of headphones I use, it's mainly the right ear. Does anyone know hwy this is happening? I have reinstalled drivers, and tried cleaning the headphone jack, but I can't make sounds stop buzzing.
Also it's the kind of sound you would expect from a monitor speaker turned up all the way, a kind of "tinny" effect.

I had tried some rubbing alcohol, anyway I needed my screen replaced, so I sent it in for warranty repair.
