Left internal speaker volume issue (very weak)

Hello,
The left internal speaker on my MBA is very very quiet (barely audible at maximum volume and with right channel disabled). The problem seems to have appeared recently as I was totally enjoying my MBA's sound before.
I have already tried the following:
- Both speakers are equally balanced in System Preferences/Sound and Audio MIDI Setup.
- The 'Play stereo audio as mono' box is unticked in System Preferences/Universal Access.
- Latest software updates installed, the laptop restarted after that, the trouble remained.
- Already tried resetting the SMC or PRAM and NVRAM.
- Already tried reinstalling a fresh OS
Grateful for any useful comments, views and advice.
MacBook Air mid-2013, Mac OS X (10.10.2)

    Applications > Utilities > Audio MIDI Setup
    Audio Devices window
    Side Bar
    Click the Built-in Output.
    Under Mute any of the boxes checked? If so, uncheck it.
    Make sure that CH1 and CH2 volume sliders are at the middle and matched.

Headphone and Internal Speaker Volume Levels

I saw a topic about this earlier, but it has become locked, so I thought I would post another to see if anyone has any information about it. Until recently, I have been able to set my headphone volume and internal speaker volume at different levels. In other words, I can set the speakers to a certain volume, plug in my headphones, set the headphones to a different volume, then unplug the headphones and the volume changes back to what it was before I plugged in the headphones. I don't know exactly when it started happening, but I can no longer set these at two separate levels. I have seen that other people are having this problem, so I know it isn't just something stupid that i am doing. Anyone know why this is happening, or what I can do about it? Any help would be much appreciated.

Assuming that you're not listening to songs that have been imported at very low level, the next thing to do is a full Restore. A Restore will remove everything form your iPod, reset it and then put back onto the iPod only what is in your iTunes library. So if you have items that are not in your library (and therfore on the computer) you need to sort that out first.
I believe it will also reset your user data in any Apps you use. There is a backup method for this, but I'm not sure how it works as I've never tried it.
If that doesn't work, there must be a hardware issue, which means booking it in for service.

Internal speaker volume output is not loud anymore

After downloading Mavericks, my internal speaker volume output is not even as loud as my iPad. What can I do to fix this? It use to be loud prior to downloading mavericks. I don't want to have to buy a third party app to fix this. Please fix this apple!

Internal Speaker Volume

I have all of the audio settings set to maximum, but the volume of the internal speaker can barely be heard over any background noise in the room. The volume through the headphone jack works great, so it doesn't seem to be a soundcard issue.
Does anyone else have similar issues? I'd like to determine if this is normal, or if I might have a bad speaker.

Same thing, I expected something better. I wanted to use for skype but I can't hear a thing even at maximum volume in a quite environment. It was supposed to compete with Ipad...but Ipad is much better . I'm disappointed.

Does the 1.1.4 fix the low speaker volume issue?

when i downloaded the 1.1.3 it was great .. new icons, customizable home screen
but the downside was that it lowered the volume on the speakerphone..
before the 1.1.3 update i noticed my speaker was ALOT louder ..meaning that for the 1.1.3 update they lowered the speakerphone volume.. any update if they've fixed this issue?

Ah, those are different in that 1, they aren't headphones like what are included with the iPhone, and 2, if you put them in the right ear, the cops can't see them!
However, effective 1 July 08, only hands-free devices will be allowed. So I don't know if Bluetooth headsets that don't have voice control of the iPhone will be legal, technically.

Imac 24" internal mic volume issues

Im having a problem with the volume of the internal microphone on my 24" imac (2.8 ghx, osx 10.6.4). When I am trying to use msn video chat (yeah i know i shouldn't use msn at all but my girlfriend insists on it) the volume keeps dropping while I am trying to use it, sometimes to the point where the other person cant hear me. I can watch this happening in the settings but all i can do is turn it back up. Ive checked on google and other people seem to ave had this problem but i couldnt find a solution.
Any help with this would be hugely appreciated,

neither in Skype nor in Quicktime audio recording does the microphone pick up a reasonable level.
The mike does not seem broken though, as if I put the input level at maximum in the system preferences pane: sound (and check "use ambient noise reaction") there is some reaction if I tap on the frame of the iMac or literally yell into the iMac. (the Quicktime recording then registers the voice, but only faintly).
I have done a Pram reset/restart, to no avail so far and am hoping for some bright solution in this forum.
One reason for the error might be that when a local Apple store recently replaced the Airport antenna-module on my iMac (it had failed completely after around 3 years) they might have done something to the mike wiring...

My speaker volume is very low now that I did the most recent update

I recently did an update on my 4s. Since the update, I can barely hear people talking to me on the phone. I cannot have any background noise at all. i have used the buttons on the side and the volume does not change.

Check to see if you are both using the same Apple ID for iMessage. If you are, one of you should go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with a different ID. (You can continue to share the same ID for other services such as iTunes.)

IPhone Earphone Speaker volume suddenly got very low

Hi,
A week ago my iPhone Earphone Speaker volume get very low.I have installed to 3.0 and nothing help me out.
I think this is a hardware problem and getting to replace a Earphone Speaker.
Does anyone knows is this software or a hardware problem?
Its works fine over BT or earpiece.
I can only hear at very low volume.

i just did this with my moms original iPhone. before the update the volume was fine, after it got noticeablly low. i could bearly hear anything. used the sim card eject tool that came with my 3GS and poked at the speaker very lightly and noticed it got higher. i dont get how its related to the 3.0 software update but that fixed the problem for some strange reason?

IPad mini retina low speaker volume

I've just bought my iPad mini retina and I have noticed that the speaker volume is very low. I know the speakers are small as of the size of the device but even my iphone 5s with one speaker is louder and was not sure if this was normal or my device not working correctly? I've got until 11th of jan to take back for exchange and would rather get it sorted before that if it is the device causing this issue

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Check your settings. The iPads have a small switch on the right edge. It can be used as a rotation lock to keep the screen from automatically reorienting itself as you move around, but you need to have the tablet’s settings configured properly. That same switch, right above the volume buttons, can also be set to function instead as a mute button to silence certain types of audio.
If the switch is set to work as a mute button, you can change its purpose to “screen-rotation lock” by tapping the Settings icon on the home screen. On the Settings screen, tap General on the left side, and on the right side of the screen flick down to “Use Side Switch to.” Tap to select Lock Rotation or Mute to set the button’s function. Even if you set the side switch for your preferred use, you can still mute the Mini or lock the screen. Just double-click the Home button, and when the panel of apps appears along the bottom edge of the screen, flick the row from left to right with your finger. Tap the icon on the far left side of the row to either lock the iPad’s screen or mute the iPad’s alerts, notifications and sound effects. Music, podcasts and video are not muted unless you turn the volume all the way down.

Sony VAIO Flip internal speaker not working why?

Hi,
First time posting, first time Sony laptop user. I've had this Sony VAIO Flip 15 - SVF15N17CXB, laptop for a few months now everything has been working fine. Til lately I been hearing static on my laptop when I played music or videos. I managed to look up some of the common problems and adjusted my audio options til I got it fixed, and it worked.
Until now, where I can only hear from he left internal speaker on my laptop. It was working fine earlier, but now it seems to have given out. I don't know if I blew it out or maybe I messed up the settings. I've tried updating my driver it says I have he latest one. I've uninstalled the driver, reboot my system, and it automatically reinstalled it, but still nothing.
I'm not sure if I need to get it repaired or etc. I would take it to the Sony store, but they permanently closed all their locations in Canada. Please help, it is greatly appreciated!

Speaker Volume

The ring tone and speaker volume are very low even though I have the volume all the way up.
Is there any way to adjust?

my sound check is OFF and i'm on 1.1.2
i already gave up on this issue, my speakerphone is useless as far as i'm concerned with such a low volume
the phone itself is awesome, so i'm willing to overlook this low speakerphone issue; i kinda gave up on new updates fixing it

HT2188 Iphone5 volume issue

Just bought my new IPhone 5 16GIG from Fry's yesterday. Tried making a couple of calls and the speaker volume is very low. I turned the volume to full and still can not hear person. I reset the phone and still have issues. Any recommendations?

Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Honestly though, I would not expect any of these to have an affect.
Try a different iPhone5, maybe a friend or aquantance has one, to ensure that it's not an issue specific to your phone. In other words, the volume you are experiencing may be "normal".
If nothing else, take the device to Apple for evaluation.

Speaker volume is poor

My iPad 2 speaker volume seems very low. At the highest setting it is too low for me to watch a movie. I have made sure the volume lock is off and volume setting is maxed out. Is this an issue with all iPad 2 or just mine?

You could check the volume on the store display iPads and if there is a problem take it back for replacement. If they are all the same a good set of earphones will help.
Do check that the case / stand or your hand isn't covering the speaker grill first

NB205 Speaker Volume

The NB205 internal speaker volume is just not loud enough. Are there any registry settings or software programs that would increase the volume from the speakers?
