Left speaker has a picking sound that won't go away!
OK I have a 2GENERATION 6GB iPod mini, it has worked fine for a good time now, but recently I have been hearing a picking sound in the left ear, it is not the ear buds because I have tried three different ones and they all do the same thing.
I have tried restoring the iPod and downgrading the firmwares, but that didn't help anything.
I when into maintenance mode and scanned everything and it checked out clean.
I've also cleaned out the headphone jack with some alcohol and a cloth, but to no avail!
I need help it is aviously a hardware problem, and the only to pieces of hardware that could cause this are the mother board and the Little detachable PC board that has the headphone jack on it, so can someone tell me which one it is?
I know how to open my iPod and I could buy a replacement if I had to.
Windows XP Pro
I agree too - it is a hardware issue, having said that I cant tell you which one.
It may be the dust causes the problem, as it is quite common with most of the amprefier, therefore if I were you I may try to clean the iPod before the part replacement

What version of Pages 09?
How did you install/upgrade it?
When did this happen?
What did you do before this happened? eg Upgrade your System?
Have you upgraded Pages '09 to v4.3?
Have you tried opening it from a different User Account? If so what happened?

Clicking sound that won't go away
Please Help -
I downloaded the quicktime software that enables QT to read mpeg2 videos and when I rebooted the volume window/display appeared in the middle of the screen. Now it won't go away and there is never ending clicking sound that is coming out at full volume. Plus when I go to turn it down, it automatically goes back up to full volume.
I've booted and rebooted and nothing changes.
Doea anyone have any suggestionsOnly other thing I can think of would be to go into the Sound prefs/setup pane and disable the connection/signal to that device before sleeping the machine. If that works, then perhaps an AppleScript or Automator script could be written to facilitate doing that before sleep, and afterwards to re-enable it when needed.
If the Newmark device has an on/off switch, perhaps using it would be sufficient.
You might check the Numark website, see if they have a tech support area and if so, if there has been mention of a similar problem. If there is, a solution may be posted. -
Wondering how to get my ical running again? I have an error message that won't close and ical is unavailable. Error just says the server responded with an error. Happened after I cut and pasted a note into a reminder by accident...
Mine started doing this yesterday after attempting to install the most recent security update (im running Tiger OS 10.4.)
Took a while for me to remedy it but I found that by starting up from the CD that comes with the macbook (by holding 'c' as you switch on) and doing an Archive and Install (took 2 attempts as the first failed) it is working fine again. Installed the update by dragging it from the trash and clicking it and the Macbook seems good again. -

DV2000 has a bad hdd that won't power up
This DV2000 i'm working on has a bad hdd that won't power up & used a usb device to clarify the issue.
Shouldn't the system bootup to bio's even though the hdd is gone?
Worked on alot of desktops & I know they should boot to bio's so you can set the hdd to auto.
This thing now won't even bootup to the bio's, just a black screen with all light's lit up on keyboard & on front.
It beeps 2 short beeps (very low beeps). No loud annoying beeps like i've read on here & the support site.
I'm pretty sure it's not a overheating gpu issue.
Hooked it up to an external monitor & stll won't show a screen as long as I entered the right keys.
Thank's for any comments you might have.
David

Home based computer repair business PCTech Inc.First thing, see if it will boot into the Recovery Partition: Hold down Command R at restart.
If it boots up there, then it's likely that the hard drive has failed, or simply doesn't have a working system.
If it doesn't boot up there, then it's likely to be some other part of the hardware.
If it is the hard drive, then this can be replaced. You can find videos showing you how to do this on sites like ifixit.com.
Then you can just restore all your data from your backup. You do have a backup, right? -
Every time I open Mozilla Firefox, there is an annoying sound that won't stop, and it sounds kind of like pac man. I t won't stop, and I have no idea where it is coming from. I have tried everything. Any suggestions on what I should do?

Every time Firefox opened
== I opened firefox today, and it won't stop. It's just the Google homepage tribute to Pacman turning 30 today. A playable game starts up automatically, use the arrow keys to move Pacman. It's fun!
You can get Ms Pacman to appear in that game by clicking the "insert coin" button twice and using the WASD keys to move :)
You can also just change your homepage to something other than google until tomorrow. -
When I try to download apps in my iphone , I get a spinning circle that won't go away and a grey icon that says "waiting" .Any ideas how to fix the problem?
First go into settings, Itunes and App store, sign out and then sign in again! (This might not work)

On my settings, there is a number one (red) that won't go away. There are no updates that need to be done.
Maybe you should try updating 5.1.1 from iTunes? Because I had the same thing and it was 5.0.1.

When I try to go to the app store, I have a popup for a free game that won't go away. I can't get into the app store.
This happened to me twice lately. I finally got around it by double tapping the home key to go back to the homepage finding the app store that was running and flicked it up to get rid of it.
When I went back to the App Store the Popup was gone. -
My ipad will has a pop-up that will not go away when I click ok, and makes it completely impossible to use the ipad. The pop-up says "iCloud Backup: This ipad has not been backed up in 6 weeks. Backups happen when this ipad is plugged in, locked, and connected to Wifi." I do not know what to do.
Same situation. Had to pull out the Mini to research this. The Apple logo has been on the screen about five min, oh, just went black. Home brought it back and popup is gone. Wonder why this happened to many folks.

The issue was a folder name. For some reason, a folder was name Fersions when it should have been called Version. I have no clue why it was named that way, but I named it correctly and the error disappeared. -
