Left speaker has static sound

the left speaker in my hp pavilion m6-1045dx laptop has a static sound and the right works perfectly. When I put on my headphones I can hear the static sound clearly and it's really annoying. If anything I know it's not the headphones because I tested two headphones and they both had that static sound in the left ear, while the right worked fine.

No but is covered by iPhone 12 month warranty
If still in warranty take to an Apple store

  • Y50 clicking sound from left speaker and muffled sound

    Hello,
I just bought the Y50 yesterday with the GTX 960M. Unfortunatly i noticed while playing that the left speaker started to do a clicking noise, in addition the sound became muffled. When i tilt the laptop the problem is resolved i.e. the clicing stops and the sound returns to normal. After a few minutes the same problem returns until i tilt the laptop or lift it again.
    Please help.

  • Left speaker has a picking sound that won't go away!

OK I have a 2GENERATION 6GB iPod mini, it has worked fine for a good time now, but recently I have been hearing a picking sound in the left ear, it is not the ear buds because I have tried three different ones and they all do the same thing.
I have tried restoring the iPod and downgrading the firmwares, but that didn't help anything.
I when into maintenance mode and scanned everything and it checked out clean.
I've also cleaned out the headphone jack with some alcohol and a cloth, but to no avail!
I need help it is aviously a hardware problem, and the only to pieces of hardware that could cause this are the mother board and the Little detachable PC board that has the headphone jack on it, so can someone tell me which one it is?
I know how to open my iPod and I could buy a replacement if I had to.
      Windows XP Pro

I agree too - it is a hardware issue, having said that I cant tell you which one.
It may be the dust causes the problem, as it is quite common with most of the amprefier, therefore if I were you I may try to clean the iPod before the part replacement

  • SPEAKER "HUMMING/STATIC" SOUND...AGAIN! Please help!!!

I sent in my MBP on the 27th of August, got it back yesterday. i have been using it all day today, and the speaker hum/screech from the right speaker is back again!!!!
    I have a 15" 2.16 C2D, 1gb ram and all that stuff.
Here are the stuff they "fixed"
    630-7709 PCBA, LIO/AUDIO (M59) MBPRO 15"
    632-0430 FLEX ASSY, LIO/AUDIO,(M59) MBPRO 15"
Now when i use the computer, the hum is very noticable especially when the room is quiet. I need this laptop for school, and I've been without it for 2 weeks. What's going on? Also, my laptop is running at 128F* is that normal?

Does this sound problem occur all the time - even on battery power miles away from the house?

  • Audio Port has Static Sound

I noticed that when I connect my mbp to my: portable speakers, earphones, room surround speakers, there is Static emanating from it. Is this a normal problem? I doubt it is with the peripherals i am connecting because its already common among all of them, or maybe it still is connected to the peripherals.
I also noticed that when I connect the magsafe power adapter, the static increases, and when I take it out, the static decreases but the static is still present.
Is this a problem with the hardware? Should i have it checked in an apple store?
    Thanks.

Often external hard drives can inject noise, particularly firewire units. I have two Seagate drives that have to be powered off when doing audio work. Finding the culprit is just a matter of elimination.

  • Crackling left speaker after 10.4.11 update

I recently downloaded the update to 10.4.11 from (I think) 10.4.5. The first time, the installation didn't complete successfully (I got the dreaded red exclamation mark). Since then, my left speaker has been crackling loudly and continuously - a loud static noise that doesn't go away if I kill the volume. Sound effects play from the right speaker, but nothing but static buzzing/crackling emerges from the left.
Plugging in headphones removes this noise (I guess because it deactivates the speakers altogether). I've downloaded the 10.4.11 update again (successfully, this time), but the problem remains. I've fiddled with the sound settings, zapped the PRAM, but nothing gets rid of the noise.
I don't have installation disks for 10.4.5 - is there some other way I can revert to the earlier OS to see if it remedies this problem? Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Hmmm, no joy, but thanks for the suggestion! Actually, I'm thinking that this isn't a software issue at all - I recently had my hard drive replaced, and I think the speaker issue may be related to that. The speaker conked out within about a minute of starting up the laptop when I got it back from the repair shop. I suppose it's likely that there was some damage to the speaker / speaker connection when the drive was replaced, and the fact that it first cut out when I was installing the upgrade was a coincidence. It certainly seems like a varying fault (sometimes it won't start crackling immediately, sometimes the crackling will cut out for a moment until I touch the keyboard again), which suggests, perhaps, that it's a mechanical rather a software issue. I'll get it back to the repair shop and have them sort it out!

  • Macbook Pro's Left Speaker problem

I bought MacBook Pro 13 inch i7 on friday and I noticed that when I play music the left speaker has some cracking noise in it. When I play my music over the right, there is no noise, but when I use both or just the left... there is some kind of noise, crackling, vibrating sound. what should I do with it??

    Hi s,
Given that it's brand new, I would definitely contact Apple. You have a 14 day return/exchange period and a 1 year hardware warranty. AppleCare phone support is free for 90 days.

  • Video audio has static

I just recorded a 6 minute song at a concert last night and it has static sound throughout. I never had this problem before. Any suggestions?

    Hi roygbiv28,
You will typically get static when the sound or music you are recording is too loud. The BlackBerry® smartphone's microphone, as with all microphones, have limitations on decibel levels.
    Thanks.

  • Ddts-100, side left speaker not working

i have a ddts-100, and a set of t7700 speakers, all the channels work in the correct order except the side left channel has no sound at all. all the speakers are in full working order because they work perfectly on my pc. any one got any ideas?

Your connection since you use the ddts-100 is digital so you use a coaxial or optical cable and the maximum speakers that can play with digital signal are 6.1.
If you want to use all of you speakers you have to connect the 4:3 cable. You can connect it directly from your soundcard to your speakers or through the cable divider .
Now if you're using the 4:3 cable check in Creative Audio Console that you check 7.1 option.
    I hope I helped you.

  • Disturbing noise left speaker

I bought my MacBook two months ago. So far, everything was working properly until yesterday. The left speaker has started to make a disturbing noise. It seems related to the magsafe but I am not sure. Outside of the noise, everything seems to work ok but the noise is really loud and really worrying. I shut off the volume of the two speakers but still have the same noise. It is not constant, generally every 15 mns. The computer make the noise even if it is not charging. When I press slowly on the left corner, the noise stops immediately?? I am really carefull with my mac. It did not felt. The noise appeard just like that.
Anyone has experienced the same noise??? I live in Haiti so I don’t have access to an Apple store or retailer.
    Please help!!!!!

Yah, I got that problem and if you search around on these boards you will see that we are not alone. I have no idea what could be causing it, and it seems fairly random when it occurs. Not sure if its hardware or software related. Hopefully someone will figure this out soon.

  • T61p has awful static/clipping from left speaker

    Hello all,
I just got a T61p (6457MM1) today and love it (well, I love it after I turned off the "Beep" driver that was making the keyboard beep every time I typed "around".)
The only problem with it is that the sound out of the left speaker is, well, crap. It clips, there's a static sort of sound, it generally sounds awful.
I have the latest version of the sound card drivers as listed on the Lenovo site. I have run Windows Update and installed all of those.
I searched the Internet and found some people [http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=261186] who are reporting this same problem and that it occurred due to a BIOS update. Given that this system is brand new (and that I've run through the ThinkPad updater too), I'm confident it has the latest BIOS.
Is Lenovo aware of this/is there something I can do?
The easiest way to hear the problem is to open the Sound Control Panel. click "Configure", then click Test. You can hear that in the test tone, the left speaker sounds substantially worse than the right. This occurs at any volume.
Also, I wanted to set up the password reset service questions, in case I ever forgot my BIOS supervisor password. I set it up in the BIOS, but the help text then says to run the "Create Recovery Media" program from Windows? I ran that program and made the CD, but it didn't ask me to set any questions and if I look in the BIOS again it still says the status of the password reset service is "In Progress".
I wanted to burn a set of recovery discs, but I can't, every time I try I get an error message that says "The files required for creating the rescue media cannot be found," then "An internal error has caused this process to fail." I am talking with my sales rep to try to get a set of recovery discs sent to me since the program to make them isn't working.
Is there some other way to establish the password reset service questions?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello,
I own a T42p since 4 years now and has always been working like a dream, except for a harddisk failure. Since I did create a backup to CD/DVD I was able to restore my Windows XP environment without much trouble. I subsequently updated my laptop with WIN-SP3, updated BIOS etc etc, and updated all Thinkvantage software (e.g. RnR 4.2, Client Solution 8 etc etc).
I also 'updated/repaired' the MBR, based on a Lenovo defect based on the same error, but didn't solve the issue.
Problem: I have not been able to create a new complete CD/DVD backup set.  The error message from RnR is "The files required for creating the rescue media cannot be found," then "An internal error has caused this process to fail", as StarmanDX excperienced.
I can continue to create the backup, but I cannot create the corresponding boot disk.

My IPad 4th gen now has static on sound.  I've done reset and checked sound controls and accessibility.  Help?

A hard reset has been known to remedy this problem.
You might want to detail when the static happens. All the time? Only when you insert the mini jack? With specific software or volume?
