Legacy Sound files into an iPod Touch for editing

This isn't about music, but it seems to me the solution is the same regardless of what is on the sound file.
I have old interviews I conducted as part of an old job. I want to put them on to my new iPod Touch to listen to while traveling. Since I am only interested in specific topics and passages I need to bookmark where in these hours-long interviews these passages are.
I can get these interviews from my Mac into my Touch easily with iTunes, but I cannot bookmark or make notations in iTunes. There is a plethora of apps that will playback and edit/bookmark sound files for the Touch, but all of the ones I have found will only do this for files recorded with that app.
If anyone has any thoughts on an app I have missed or a work around I would be forever grateful.

If you need to activate iPhone 3G you need a SIM Card from the Original Carrier when the iPhone was first sold brand new. It can be an old no longer active SIM Card, but from Original Carrier. If the iPhone is from US then you need an ATT SIM Card, even a Cingular SIM Card will work. ATT Store will give you SIM Card for free. Or find anyone with an old ATT SIM card if iPhone is again Originally from US.

You can't do that.
And before you decide to store any music that you own on a computer at work, talk to your IT department. Many organizations do not permit it for legal reasons. Standard policies are that anything stored on company owned computers is the property of the company. It could not be legally stored on their machines unless you transfer the licenses and all copies, physical and digital, to the company, meaning you no longer own the music. If they were to be audited and could not prove that they own the music, they would be subject to copyright violation penalties. Just use your iPod when you're at the office if you want to listen to music.

I have had my ipod touch 4th generation for a couple months now.... Nowhere in the manuals or help sections does it tell me how to make individual pucture files(like that already on my computer) put onto my ipod touch.... I managed to make one and I can't remember how I did it but when I have the touch hooked up to itunes and try to pick which picture files from my computer to sync, a box always opens and says that it will delete everything in the original photo library that was in there.....
Can anyone help me there has to be away, I know someone has done it but they don't live here to show me!!!!

where on my computer am I suppose to make the individual picture files and have them to upload on my ipod touch.... I do have a photo library on my computer, but in the photo tab in itunes for the ipod touch and there is nothing checked for syncing, cause when I do check it it always says its going to replace everything i have in my photo library on my ipod touch..... I have converted a movie file into mpeg4 format and uploaded into itunes,but on syncing my ipod touch via itunes, the movie file doesnt show on my ipod touch. Can you help me identify the problem? This has been happening to me quite often while uploading videos.

I have never seen size as an issue as long as you have enough space on the ipod touch for the file.
It's not an issue IF you convert it to iPod image size with iTunes.
For example, the touch can NOT play HD image size content.

Returning 1st gen ipod touch for 2nd gen?

Does anyone know if I could return my 1st gen ipod touch for the 2nd gen or even give it to them and get money off the 2nd gen? I want to return my first gen because i have noticed that some of the apps that I want to download require a mic. If you no if i can trade mine in please respond. Thank you

... and the second generation Touch doesn't have a mic anyway. Chris will correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe, if you want to use a mic-dependant App on a 2nd gen Touch, then you need to buy a headphone/mic combination to plug in instead of standard headphones. I don't know +at all+ about the 3rd gen.
Non-mic Apps can run on a 1st gen Touch if you purchase the software upgrade, but whether that also includes mic-Apps, well, once again, I don't know. (Not much I do know really, is there? )
Perhaps you need to consider how much you need mic dependant Apps before rushing into the major expense of a Touch which may not actually meet your needs. There's always the iPhone of course.

I'm trying to transfer the files from my ipod touch to my new computer itunes keeps telling me that all the apps and music won't be transferred that the computer is authorized. Then it brings up a previous apple id which is no longer valid.

The computer has to be authorized for the account that purcchased the media.
What error message are you getting when you try to lauthorize the computer for that account?

Then a message popped up stating that the iPod Touch needs to be fully restored - and that all data will be lost. The iPod Touch now displays the 'plug into iTunes' screen, and is stuck there. There are irreplaceable family momentos on the iPod Touch. How can I recover files from an iPod Touch prior to a required restore? HELP...

Your only hope is to contact a data recovery company. When it shows the connect to iTunes screen the iPod is essentially deleted.

I'm sorry if this question has been asked (seems like it would be a fairly common question). I've used the search feature, as well as Google, but most of the threads/answers I've found seem to be "one-off" type of questions that don't really address the general issue.
Anyway, I had an iPhone 4. I just bought a new iPhone 5s. I simply want to turn the iPhone 4 into an iPod touch so that I can continue to use it to listen to music and podcasts while I'm exercising (seems like a better option than to risk dropping my brand new iPhone). What do I need to do this? Do I need to remove the SIM card? If so, how do I do this?

I'm having difficulty setting up imessage and facetime on the device? I've followed a few posts an have erased all contents and all settings, put the old sim in (it is still active with network), set the phone up using itunes account with sim in with no success.... That means when it finds the Space it is not printing the Remaining Text.
