Legal Control data for a Material in Foreign Trade View.

Hi All
We are facing the problem for updating the Legal Control data for a Material in Foreign Trade View.
Is there any BAPI for doing that ?
Please guide me.

We figured this out. We used SM30 to find table / view V_T604F and add a value for country US.

Error in Excise Data subscreen in Material Master:Foreign Trade-Import Data

SAP Net Weaver ECC6.0
I have added the 'Excise data' subscreen in Material master 'Foreign trade IMport' and 'Foreign Trade Export' tab. But facing the following problem. please help.
There are two buttons called 'More' and 'PreVals' in that subscreen. If I click either of them, it gives an error message as below
"Record 21 MORE does not exist in table T133E
Message no. M3748"
and
"Record 21 J1PR does not exist in table T133E
Message no. M3748"
Kindly help what to do

Lets starts from first step.
Go to OMT3B
1. Copy 21 and make it 91
2. Then from left hand side select Data screens no 15 copy it and make it 91 - Z1
3. Then again go to left hand side Subscreens and copy 6 and make it 91 - 71 - z and assign screen no 2205 and add prograne as SAPLJ1I_MATERIAL_MASTER
save it
Then go to OMBt3E and copy 01 -* HERS * 12 and mahe it 01 -* ROHor FERT * 91 and save it and then check and revert back

Control Code field in Material master- Foreign Trade imports tab

Hello Experts,
I am trying to understand the purpose of Control Code(MARC-STEUC) field in Material master- Foreign Trade imports tab. I am also interested in knowing where does this field appear in our PO.

Normally control code specifies the norm to follow by the supply plant for a sale of exposrts. each contry will have a set of rules to get follow as a stuatory . this code specifies the rules or certificates.

How to post material master legal control data (Foreign trade export view)?

Dear Gurus,
Currently we have an external application which posts material master data into SAP using MATMAS IDOC through JCO. Now we have a requirement wherein we need to post legal control data ( especially ALNUM field) beisdes the regular views. MATMAS Idoc do not have a provision to post this specific field ALNUM ( Export control class).
Can you please suggest how to post this field value in to SAP. Do we need to use any other IDOC or RFM/BAPI as we do with classification view. In that case can you please suggest those relevant APIs.

I have got the same problem with this legal control field(ALNUM field).
There is no provison to post this field through IDOC. Can u please tell me what was the why u followed for this issue.

Legal Control functionality for Purchase order

Hi,
We have a requirement where in while saving the Purchase Order, the system should look whether for that material if the legal control data/ foreign trade data is maintained specifying that it is a controlled substance then the licence should be maintained before saving the PO. If the licence is not maintained then the Purchase order should not be allowed to be saved.
In a nut shell, we want to control the saving of Purchase order depending on whether the licence is maintained or not.
This has been done for Sales order. The standard SAP functionality allows the document control.
This can be seen in SPRO - Materials Management - Purchasing - Foreign trade/Customs - Legal control - Document control.
Here we can see that only Sales order and shipping documents can be controlled.
Is there any way we can control the Purchase Ordr also?
Please let me know for any clarification regarding the requirement.

this kind of functionality is not available in SRM. Have a look into GTS Module, which can be connected to SRM for achiving your requirement. http://help.sap.com/saphelp_gts30/helpdata/en/1d/8082ab7248f74ca09861d9713b9a52/content.htm
All somehow available control, compliance and trade features are available via GTS. Any further need to be accomplished via self development.

MM01-Legal Control Data

Hello Experts,
I have a requirement regarding creation of material.The version i am using is ECC6.0.
I am creating a material by copying from existing material.By giving enter in each and every tab the data is getting copied.
when coming to foreign trade export tab there is button LEGAL CONTROL DATA,the user does'nt want to click that button but he wants the legal control data to get copied without clicking the button.
I got to know about the BADI BADI_MATERIAL_REF , but i didnt find the legal control structure MAEX in this BADI.
Experts!! Is there any possibility to copy the LEGAL CONTROL DATA without clickting the button in FOREIGN EXPORT TRADE tab??.I want to know is there any Enhancements or any other alternative solution for this.

i am trying to create a transfer order from delivery. the moment i click on save in LT03 its giving me the error message as
Control data for storage type is missing
Message no. L3006
i have explored every thread regarding the same issue and also implemented some measures like
-> extending the material to particular warehouse and maintaining stock removal and stock placement strategies in it(i created new one from MM01 itself)
-> going to spro path SPRO->Logistics Execution->shipping->picking->Lean WM->Define storage type. and assigned storage type.
but still i am getting the same message in LT03
can you please help me out on this.

I created the inbound delivery VL31N - sucessfully
But when trying to create a putaway LT0F - error
control data for storage type is missing. msg no. L3006
Do i maiantain this control data for storage type in the Material master?
is there anything Im doing wrong?

Check in SPRO > Logistics Execution > Warehouse Management > Master Data > Define storage type, here for your warehouse and storage type check stock placement and stcok removal control is configured.

my prob. started during cost cal. in prod. order first error was version 0 not maintained for fiscal year 2007, THEN i maintained it in the path as told by you T code OKEQ.
but after that error changed to CONTROL DATA FOR ACTIVITY TYPE NOT MAINTAINED ( 1000/4230/1420)
i maintained data in kp26, but the error is still coming
pl. suggest some solution as i am not able to proceed further.

ALE/IDOC:The group data for the material CS94163AOOO is locked by ECPUSER

Dear All,
I have extended the idoc for MATMAS and getting -The group data for the material CS94163AOOO is locked by ECPUSER
error on receving ( production ) server.I have written BDC in Z-function module to upload the data for extended segments after calling IDOC_INPUT_MATMAS01 function module.
When the same scenario executed in development server the material is not getting locked and idoc is posted successfully.
Please guide to resolve the error.

T.code: expiration date for a material

Hi,
I would like to know the expiration date for a material.
Do you know the T.code?

As per my knowldge there is T.code to show expiry date of material.
If material has maintained as abatches those batches has only expiry date.
Only you can view in material validity start.

Hi raj,
i want to pass data to standard function module which genrates idoc.
function module name is ISU_IDOC_INPUT_ISU_EL40.
now i want to pass control data to IDOC_CONTRL parameter.
my itab consist of 4 fields.
first field is passed to one segment and remaining fields are passed to other segment.
So I want to know how to pass data to different segments and what should be the control data(like partner type etc.)

Hide foreign trade view in material master

Hi all,
Can anyone tell me how may one hide the foreign trade Views (both export & import) within the material master Data?
Usually the material views for selection are managed Through the material type customization; however I cannot Find these views within the optional views for the material Types.
I also searched within the foreign trade customization and could not found where it can be managed.

Hi,
To restrict the views you have to follow the above explained process. If you want make specific field in material master , you can use following process
1.Just click the tab ,(Which is u want to be Required entry or Hide )and get the field name
2.Go to T.Code: OMSR and enter that field name and get Selection Group
3.1. Use t.Code: OMS2 and click your material type and in next screen check Field reference ( you have assigned for material type){{ ( example :;For ROH material type the Field reference is ROH)
3.2. use T.code:OMS9,, Double Click your Field Reference and select field selection Group & select round box of Required Entry or hide as u required and save.
NOTE
If you want go for new material type creation, you can design your material views and all steps following with t.codes are
OMSL,OMS3,OMS9,OMS2,OMT3B,OMT3R,OMT3E,OMSA,OMSF,OME4,OMSR,MMNR
