Legal control licenses

Hi All,
As far as I know the country codes are registered for each legal control licenses. It looks like Lyon is not registered for Z3 licenses. Could you please let me know how check and add it.

  • FT Legal control license locked status

    When creating legal control licenses using VX01N the license type is configured with certain items to check such as ECCN number, customer number or destination country. Within those records is a status that shows a lock. The lock is either unlocked meaning it has not been assigned to any sales orders or locked meaning it has been assigned to a sales order.
    I have created a particular license type to check internal control of drawings we export our plants around the world based on part number. This means that the check will happen with multiple orders and I want it to release automatically. It seems we find that the first order releases automatically and locks that record but then any subsequent order for the same license red lights and we must manually assign it to the order. Is there any way that anyone knows of the allow multiple automatic releases for a single license?? Is this normal for these documents in SAP to only allow automatic releasing only one sales order or do I have something wrong in my configuration?

    Debbie can you explain to me how you configured it. I am on a similar project where the requirement is to allow customer service to create orders but block them from delivering until they are checked. Your solution seems to fit the criteria. We need to maintain liscences and all. I am new to this area so your steps in detail would be helpful.

    Do you mean the validity of the license number?
    If so use transaction code VX02N to change the valid-to date of the license number.
    If you want to change the validity for the license type, then use t.codes VE53 and VE58.

  • Reg: reading  the status of material in terms of legal control in GTS

    Hi All,
    I have a requirement like i need to capture the data from GTS for the status of material in terms of legal control(/SAPSLL/LGREG) as well as Legal Control: License Header(/SAPSLL/LCLIC) as a RFC call from R/3 To GTS module.
    Can any one come across such sort of requirement?
    Kindly provide is there is any RFC enabled funcion module is enable to meet the above requirement.

    The data has to be retrieved based on the combination of billing docuemtns material and item number from R/3 through a RFC call to GTS.

  • Product sales license-Legal control

    Hello Gurus,
    I need your help for following two issues. I tried researching the issues which gives me very little clue on the approach. If you guys can help me out I will be very grateful.
    My client is a pharmaceutical company which requires license to sell particular drugs to particular customers. This is legal requirement. Following are the issues where I am stuck.
    1. How can we control particular license for particular state alone.
    E.g. If there are 10 customers in the particular state then we should be able to control the sale of particular product to that state only. I know we can control it by company code or country in the license master but not sure how to do it by State.
    So for product ABC if we have license for say California, then we should be able to sell it to all the customers in California. System should validate the ship to party state and allow the sale for California alone and should not allow to process the order if the state is other than California.
    2. How to control the total quantity of specific product to be sold by particular license to specific customer.
    In license master I know we have field for value and quantity. With value field system validates the value but not the quantity. And also we need to have traceability of how much quantity is consumed from that license.
    E.g. If we have legal license to sell product ABC to customer XYZ for say 1000 units for liense validity period of say one year. And if we create 10 orders for first 8 months which completes the quota of 1000 units and ten we try to create order with more quantity which surpasses the 1000 unit quota under this license for this customer then system should not allow processing the order.
    Also the quantity for each license is limited and there needs to be a full audit trail from the sales order back to the license.
    Gurus please help me out in this I will really appreciate your help. Full points guaranteed.

    Thanks for the input.
    But the solution which you have suggested are directly related with transactions and not with license  or license master(VX01n) and we use sales orders with license validationin legal control so cant use Contracts. All this thing need to be controlled at license level.
    I was thinking something on following lines. Gurus please chip in your recommendations:
    1. I was thinking of adding new field in license master for state an dthen have system validate it when that particular license is called in sales order through a userexit.
    2. I was thinking to use standard field "Quantity"  in license master (VX01N) to maintain maximum quantity that license can sell. And the during sales order creation have user exit to validate this maximum quantity with all the sales order quantities created with reference to this license. If the sum of all quantities associated with this license is more than or equal to maximum quantity maintianed in license master then stop the order. If not then allow the order to be created for the quantity available.
    Gurus. please let me know your comments on above solutions.

  • Legal controll error is sales order - license cannot be used

    Hi Abir,
    In my situation, the sales order already creted in Dec 2011 and has delivery dates in Jan 2012. And the SO has GTS error and unable create delivery, business user releasing the SO manually by going to VX22N for emergency deliveries. but we need permanent solution.
    the license is created under License type NLR (no license required). i dont think, user will accept for creating a new license for this as it is using for couple of years. we are trying to extend the validity of license by going to VX02N but valid From and To fields are greyed out. we also checked the Accepted and Extended fields in Status Tab by giving the future dates but Valid From and To dates are not changed.
    Please advise...

    Its a SAP GTS related error.
    I hope you are aware of the License are created under Legal Control in GTS system.
    If I'm not wrong, we can maintain License (GTS) by using TCode /SAPSLL/LCLIC01 and if the License is in active mode then can be modified by using TCode /SAPSLL/LCD_CHANGE

  • Legal Control for export of sales. Consumption of license by sales order

    We are running legal control for the export of sales of which we require export licenses for certain parts to specific partners, however, I am having difficulty in gettiing a sales order to consume the license thereby reducing the amount of new sales orders I can raise under the license.
    For instance, I have a license to sell 50k and I raise a sales order for 45k, this should then only allow a sales order of upto 5k to be raised unfortunately the consumption is not happening and so therefore all future orders can utilise the license therefore allowing over shipment against the export license, a very serious matter.
    I have created a license type that has 'maximum Amount specified' in transaction VE51 but no consumption takes place.
    Any ideas?

    Hi Gopala, In legal control maintain master data and business transactions in accordance with the legal requirements for imports and exports. Also use monitoring and simulation tools that help to  ensure that your business is compliant with current import and export laws. Legal control includes checking business transactions for products that require licenses, as well as the check for embargo situations for these business transactions. Activate legal control for imports and exports, along with embargo checks. Whereas the legal regulation defines how the system determines suitable export licenses based on the determination sequence, license types (which differ according to the government agency), and the export control classification number (ECCN). Legal regulations for export are based on the country of departure and should therefore be activated to check for export licenses. Legal regulations for import are based on the country of destination and should therefore be activated to check for import licenses. Ashish

    Hello,
    Could you please tell me what skills/informations are needed to configure the Legal control? I mean although I understand the function and know how to configure, I have to read the foreign trade law to map the law into the system.
    I think the information in foreign trade law is so huge and it is hard to define export control class number, license type etc in system by myself.
    Do you have any experiences regarding this problem?

    The core team of the client are FT experts and they would tell you about the legal requirements. Your job is to map them in SAP FT.
    In this process you would gain Knowledge about  Foreign trade regulations of that country. Remember its country specific.
    The ECCN's are provided by the client. Info abt the same is extensivley available on the NET.
    You have to get the list of all the mtrls which fall under the controlled cantegory of the respective commerce ministry and then start the config setting  these mtrls as relevant for FT checks.

  • Cannot do Picking with Legal control block

    Hi,
    We have activated the legal control check (with license or not).
    Currently, if the outbound delivery is block due to legal control, it does not allow to post goods issue.
    with the error message "Item 000010 cannot be copied due to legal control"
    We want to also prevent the delivery from pick & pack if it has legal control issue, not just during PGI.
    Can we do this by configuration?

  • Export Control /Legal control: need user exit to customize

    I have a situation where I want to determine the export control license for a sales order. SAP uses the function module RV_EXPORT_CONTROL to carry out the required check.
    The FM uses the country defined for the ship-to-party as the destination country and carries  out checks to determine if there is an embargo for the good in the line item to destination country.
    My requirement is that the actual destination country or the ultimate destination country ( which is known and not same as the country of the ship to party ) be used to carry out the embargo check.
    I could not find any user exit/badi for the same. Is there a way to achieve this functionality. It has been hard coded in the FM. Can we do any customizing settings to achieve this? I could find two partner function EU ( End user for foreign trade ) and UC ( Ultimate Consignee )...can these be somehow used/ configured to achieve the desired functionality? Or is there any other different approach to the issue.
    Currently I plan to copy the standard FM and add my functionality. I will turn off the standard export control and then I i will call the custom FM in the end ( userexit_save ) as the export control is carried out at save.
    Any suggestion/approaches will be appreciated.

  • Copying and Mass Changing of Legal Controls on Material Masters

    I have just set up in our DEV system, the Legal controls on the Material Master . . . The Legal Regulation, the Export control class and the Grouping.  We do not have Foreign Trade turned on, but we wanted a place to store this information . . . to help when documents are generated.   My question(s) now are, when our users create Material Masters in most cases they create in reference to another material.  I tried this with what I set up, and it will not copy those fields . . . is there a way it can copy . . .something in configuration that will allow this?  And, also our users require a large amount of data to be changed sometimes and these fields possibly fall into that requirement, and I was looking for a way to Mass Change, but I am not able find those fields on the available Mass Change tables . . . I believe I need MAEX . . . Is there a way to Mass Change?

    There are two things, which have to be done :
    -The first thing of course is, that for the fields involved the field :    
    "Propose Field Content from the Reference" must be set in transaction OMSR.
    - The second is, that the user have to enter this screen, because if she/he don't display this screen, then it is technically not possible to copy the reference values.

  • Legal Control functionality for Purchase order

    Hi,
    We have a requirement where in while saving the Purchase Order, the system should look whether for that material if the legal control data/ foreign trade data is maintained specifying that it is a controlled substance then the licence should be maintained before saving the PO. If the licence is not maintained then the Purchase order should not be allowed to be saved.
    In a nut shell, we want to control the saving of Purchase order depending on whether the licence is maintained or not.
    This has been done for Sales order. The standard SAP functionality allows the document control.
    This can be seen in SPRO - Materials Management - Purchasing - Foreign trade/Customs - Legal control - Document control.
    Here we can see that only Sales order and shipping documents can be controlled.
    Is there any way we can control the Purchase Ordr also?
    Please let me know for any clarification regarding the requirement.

    All somehow available control, compliance and trade features are available via GTS. Any further need to be accomplished via self development.

  • Foreign Trade - Legal Control for scheduling agreements

    We are on version 4.6C and I am setting up the legal control for my company.  It seems to work quite well for sales orders but then when I went in to configure scheduling agreements it errors and tells me you cannot do legal control for document type "E" which are typically scheduling agreements.
    I cannot find any documentation on this.  Does anyone know why legal control does not work for scheduling agreements and/or is this functionality available in the Global Trade Services module??
