Leggere HD esterno su modem Alice Technicolor

Buongiorno a tutti,
ps su PC Windows vedo senza problemi l'HD esterno.
Grazie mille a tutti!!
Massimiliano

Ciao
Davide
PS mi raccomando, se scopri qualcosa aggiornami!!!

  • Time Capsule e Samsung serie 9000 con modem alice

Come fare?

I would suggest you visit an Apple dealer, preferably an Apple Store if there's one in your city, and ask for assistance in determining what you need. The questions and issues you bring up are rather complex to address in a technical support forum and would be better addressed in person where you and the salesperson can ask questions back and forth to arrive at the optimal setup.
    Regards.

  • Unable to detect my AP TimeCapsule 3tb on windows 7 64-bit Ultimate

    Here is my setup
Im from Denmark on a Danish ISP called Telenor
I'm getting my internet via their modem a Technicolor TG788vn v2
On that i have a brand new AirPort Extreme setup in bridge mode to be able to relay connection without any issus.
On this APE i have 3 cables,
one to my main desktop, windows 7 ultimate 64-bit
one to my AirPort TimeCapsule 3TB, need to use a cable due to the length from the APE and no signal to extend the wifi with!
the 3rd. cable is going nowhere, its a "dead end" that i use when i have guests over.
Now my problem is as follows
Mac mini, ipad 2, iphone 5, all able to recognize the TC, i can login to the TC using my mac mini, its connected to the TC's WIFI!
My windows client connected with cable to the APE is able to see the APE and the TC on the airport utility. But im unable to see the device in network, and map it. I've tried using the ip \\10.0.0.13 ( this is the one that is the "network" ip in the airport! The Technicolor modem/router is saying the ip that it's given the TC is \\10.0.0.12, this i cant connect to either.
What can i do to fix my problem! I want to be able to connect to the TC on windows as an actual external disk drive!

OK, so turned the firewall in AVG internet security Off, renamed the name of the Airport Extreme to AirportExtreme, so its subname is AirportExtreme.local
the same goes for the Time Capsule to TimeCapsule and .local relevant
both have been set to workgroup, also my windows network is home. And joined in the workgroup. Still unable to find it. I did however have Time Machine enabled. Not that im gonna require it tbh.. Could this be the case of my issues then ? And if so, do i need to do anything else other than just turn it off ?
You might have turned off avg but there is still the windows firewall.. turn that off as well.
Can you ping the TC now.. by name and by IP.. ??
If you cannot ping it then you cannot open it.
If windows still fails to be able to open the TC hard disk.. you will need to change the network around..
Please test this by doing a factory reset to the TC and plug it into the Windows computer LAN TC to PC. No other connection on the TC and no wireless on the computer.
After a TC reset the IP of the TC is 10.0.1.1 and the computer should be getting 10.0.1.2
Make sure those values are correct.
In explorer now try without any other changes..
    \\10.0.1.1
If it fails.. open airport utility and fix the names as suggested.
Put the TC in workgroup and turn on the guest account to read and write.
Now try again .. in windows explorer \\10.0.1.1 or \\TCname
    Either should work now.
If it fails then I am not sure.. I have always been able to get windows to connect if I followed the above but there are issues occasionally..
What firmware is the TC running?

  • Internet: leopard: yes - snow leopard: no (tried all your tips)

i have upgraded my new macbook pro 17 to snow leopard and i dont get connections to the internet via safari, mail and firefox anymore.
    (skype still works!!??)
wlan: full reception but no connection
ethernet: on, but not working either
i have rebooted my modem (alice modem wlan 1121 from siemens), trashed and renewed "locations", did some voodoo rituals, but nothing.
i still have connection with my old macbookpro/leopard and it works great until i try to connect with my macbookpro/snowleopard - then i have to reboot my modem
i can connect via my neighbours modem "zyxel/arcor"
i think snow leo and my modem are incompatible with each other.
    help anyone?

I'm having the same problem. I have three computers at home one is leopard and the other two are snow leopard, all connected by airport express which is connected to a siemens DSL modem. Whenever I have the leopard computer connected there is no problem, but as soon as I connect any other of the two computer internet stalls and then crashes. I tried to connect directly with the ethernet cable from the DSL modem and the same thing happens. Internet OK with leopard and about 10 to 15 minutes after I connected with any of the computers with snow leopard internet crashes. Not only that, the whole airport network crashes after a while if a snow leopard computer connects to it. I also tried every little "procedure" both in the computers, airport express and the DSL modem, nothing seems to keep internet or the network up for more than 30 minutes. Hope I can find a solution fast while Apple works on a patch for it.
PD.: Both snow leopard computer had plain leopard before and there was no problems whatsoever, everything changed after the upgrade.

  • Connecting AirPort Extreme and AirPort Express

Hi, I have a windows 7 pc connected to the internet with a dsl modem/router (technicolor TG587n v3 made by Thomson) and a Mac computer that gets connected wirelessly, but now I have purchased an AirPort Extreme and an AirPort Express and I want to connect the new AirPorts to provide a more stable connection and also to extend the wifi signal and connect a non wifi USB printer to be accessible by the other computers in the household. Would it be possible for someone to spell out all of the steps to be taken to achieve this?  Many thanks

No worries.  It was all to do with the sequence of events which happened as follows (bear in mind that I'm not a technical person).  First of all I've left the original moden/router's connection as it was, then I connected the Airport Extreme to the original modem with an ethernet cable.  After this I started Airport Utility and I chose to do a manual setup until it recognised the Extreme, once this was done I plugged the Express to a power point, then Airport Utility recognised the Express and once again I did a manual setup and voila!
The above steps are only a summary of what took place as I did get a little bit confused as the first person that attended to my enquiry was not an expert with creating networks.  The second person was amazing knowledgeable.

Quindi penso di no.

  • WVC54GCA Cam blinkling - no way to stop

My WVC54GCA has stopped working after I erroneously changed the Security setting (from WPA/WPA2 to none). now the camera led is blinking, the setup wizard cannt find the camera and the reset button has no effect. I have also tried to connect it to the modem (Alice box in France) by ethernet but does not work either.
I just cannot have my camera online anymore and access it by any mean.
    Any idea someone?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

are you using the original power adapter for the device? a blinking powerlight may sometimes indicate that the device is not getting enough power supply.
if you've properly reset the device, and still not getting it to respond in any way, it may already be bricked.

  • AT&T Microcell does NOT work with Time Warner Technicolor Modem!

After a frustrating two weeks of working through problems with AT&T, trying to get my Microcell on-line, Time Warner finally informed me that the Microcell does not work with their new Technicolor modem. Incredibly annoying that none of the AT&T reps I spoke to knew this. I walked in the Time Warner office to swap out the moden, the clerk there immediately knew the problem because he use to work at AT&T.  How a former AT&T rep knew this and none of the new ones did, is beyond me.

There are so many ISP configured routers and gateways out there that it is impossible for AT&T support to keep track of what is compatible and what is not. We are just starting to see reports of incompatibilities with the Technicolor gateways (TWC equipment has a long history of problems with the MicroCell). Unfortunately the support reps are limited in what they can tell the customer and unless AT&T documents and verifies equipment incompatibilites they can't say anything. What the "former AT&T rep" knew may have been in-house discussions. AT&T, like any provider, has to be careful not to immediately blame the other party without "proof". The more documented complaints AT&T receives concerning a specific piece of equipment the better. However, it is up to the ISP to fix and/or replace their equipment when it comes to compatibility problems. Specific firmware pushes for specific equipment by AT&T to the MicroCell is not a viable alternative nor is it realistic.

  • Time Capsule + BT Openreach + Technicolor TG582n Modem

Hey Guys, I live in UK and just this week had fibre optic broadband installed. The equipment is as follows:
BT Openreach (Huawei Echolife HG612 - Fibre Optic Unit) connected by ethernet cable to Technicolor TG582 modem which is connected to my Time Capsue device devise (3rd Generation, 1TB) by ethernet cable too.  The TC gives me Wifi to my entire entire network in the house.  I have also connected various Airport Extreme (one) and Airport Express (there) in various locations in my house to extend the network and boost wifi.
The Question is: Can I buy one unit to replace BT & Technicolor which connects to TC to give me optimum wifi speed in the house?  I have three decent apple Laptops and am wondering if there's a solution.
The current speeds vary from one room to another.  30-32Mbps in one room (strongest) to 7Mbps in the far end room which 30 metres away.
    Any help is appreciated.

The fibre connector is not replaceable.. there is no single unit.. but you can replace the TG582 .. I am not sure why you have that in the network.. it is an adsl modem router.. I am not even aware it has an ethernet WAN port..
Try plugging the Huawei directly the TC wan port.. and use it as the main router.. I am not sure it will work but worth a try..
Wireless speed in your current setup is poor due to using Extend wireless. There is no way extend wireless can give you full speed unless you use better equipment or ethernet connections between the various AP's of which you have far too many.
I have also connected various Airport Extreme (one) and Airport Express (there) in various locations in my house to extend the network and boost wifi.
Ethernet cable the poorest area of the house and use just the extreme there in roaming network mode.
If ethernet is impossible then use EOP adapters. They are not 100% guaranteed to work but are better than wireless when they do.
The old roaming instructions are out of date so just look at the threads here.
Setting Up Roaming - New AirPort Extremes and Utility
Once you establish the link properly you can use maybe one or two of the express if you must..
If you do not achieve what you want buy better equipment.. the apple routers are not great wireless cf what is available from Ubiquiti for example.. and in really high usage or poor buildings for wireless (ie lots of double brick) these can fix it.

  • Hi I'm trying to install an HP C4180 printer as net printer through Alicegate router (Thompson technicolor). Printer works ok when connected with USB to Macbook air, but cannot be seen on the printer installation configuration. Mac OSx 10.7 (Lion)

    Hi folks.
From this morning I'm trying to "see" an HP printer C4180 connected on the USB port of the wi-fi router (TIM Alicegate ADSL2 Wifi+N, manufacturer Technicolor).
I installed latest drivers and checked everything is ok and works fine until printer is connected directly with USB to my Macbook Air.
Then I connect the USB to the router and try to find the printer.
On Alice help suggest to find it by ging to system preferences, then printers, add printer with "+", select "windows" sheet. There I can see - not always in reality, but sometimes - the "workgroup" in the left column, select, "alicegate" in second column, select, and here instead of finding the printer list there is a pop up saying that "the server version you are trying to connect to is not supported".
Reading other forums, it may seem that the problem is Lion not yet supporting this kind of connection.
Here a photo of the situation when the message occurs:
    Help..

  • What modem should I get for my Comcast service?

Comcast just replaced my modem with a newer model that has built in wi-fi. Since I don't want their wifi modem feature and I prefer not to pay a monthly rental fee what modem do you recommend I puchase that works well with my time capsule? A newer faster modem is preferred as I have a fast connection and I don't want an older modem slowing down my service. Here is the modem Comcast sent me: TECHNICOLOR tc8305c. Suggestions appreciated.

what modem do you recommend I puchase that works well with my time capsule?
Our first recommendation is that you consider a modem that will be supported by Comcast.
Any number of modems will work well with the Time Capsule, but they would be of little use to you if Comcast does not support that model.
Please contact Comcast and ask them for a list of "supported" modems. Once you have that, post back with the list and ask users to comment on their experience with given models.

  • AIRPORT EXTREME AND ADSL (ALICE)

    Greetings everyone,
I have a Powerbook G4, which is a little older than most but here is the problem. I just arrived in Sicily and I purchased the Airport Extreme for my ADSL(Alice modem) provided by the internet company. Well I am able to go through the entire setup and see the base but once I go to connect to the internet utilizing PPoE, it states that it is unable to connect (password is wrong). The thing is, it is right! If I connect to the Alice via LAN, it works fine. Is there something I am doing wrong? Is the ADSL (Alice) not compatible with the Airport? I have tried connecting with multiple and even my neighbors set ups. The process has taken 2 weeks so far. Please someone take a few mins to help me out. The ADSL(Alice) only have 2 ports and I have multiple computer products to run(Sony Playstation, Sony Computer, Vonage, and my sons desktop). Any help would be generous!

Bearing in mind that I don't know anything about the specifics of your "Alice modem" - one comment: the PPPoE protocol should be handled by only one device. If your Alice modem is configured to handle PPPoE, then you shouldn't also configure the base station to handle PPPoE. If your Alice modem isn't configured to handle PPPoE, then your base station needs to be configured to handle PPPoE. But under no circumstances should any of the devices connected to your base station (like your Mac) be configured to handle PPPoE.

  • Windows 8.1 RTM - Technicolor TG797n v3 DNS Issues

    Hi
We are now up and running as of today with our internet except the wired desktop PC which is running win 8.1 which continuously drops the connection. All other devices such as IPads and wired laptops running win 7 are fine. I stumbled upon that there is an issue with the TG797 and Windows 8.1 with DNS lookups?
I called technical support who did not seem to know what I was talking about and I was just told the usual restart power off scenario.
I am struggling to find any answer on wether there is a firmware upgrade for the TG797 or that you have to modify the DNS settings but then I read that it may affect unmetered content?
Can you advise what needs to be done to resolve please? Gateway is running firmware ver 10.3.U.8
    Thanks

I have just had issues with my new HP computer running windows 8.1 and having major problems with internet dropping out.   After heaps of phone calls to Telstra and then HP support it was determined that windows 8.1 and the Technicolor TG797n v3 modem are not compatible!!!  I was shoved from support to extra support that wants to charge you $120 to help solve the problem.  Told to go back to where i purchased the computer as its a windows issue and then sent to Telstra Sales to request another modem.  This modem was replaced by a technician a month ago as we had major line issues so it was telstra who changed my modem.I didnt want to have to pay for technical help or a new modem and certainly didnt want to return my computer so I googled my problem. And this is what I found from this site Crowd support.  After following some instructions from a visitors post who had the same issues and changing adaptor settings .....IT WORKS!!!!!!So far no drop outs,  hopefully it stays that way after I turn off the computer and try again tomorrow.fingers crossed.

  • What to use as an ADSL modem for Airport Express/Extreme?

I am in the UK.  My broadband comes down the telephone line.  What modem should I use to connect to an Airport Express or Airport Extreme router?

My ISP is Demon, which is now owned by Vodafone.  I telephoned Demon and was told (a) that it only supplies the Technicolor TG582n as a courtesy (b) that it supplies no other hardware (c) that I might be able to make the TG582n work in bridge mode but that Demon provides no support for that - meaning no help or advice either (d) that any router bought off-the-shelf in the UK which supports ADSL 2+ will be compatible with Demon's service and (e) that any modem which supports ADSL 2+ should also therefore work.  Pressed by me for the names of routers that other clients of Demon's use, I was told that these included routers manufactured by Netgear, Cisco and Draytek but that this is not an exhaustive list.
In summary, Demon says that any off-the-shelf modem that supports ADSL 2+ should work.
To return to the question that I first asked, therefore, I would be grateful if anyone can give me the names of any ADSL 2+ modems which work optimally with Airports Express or Extreme.
If anyone reading this post has any experience they can share, that would be very kind and much appreciated.
If any ADSL 2+ modem will do as well as another, it would be helpful to know that also.
