Length cord earphone

I'm thinking to buy Sony MDR-EX57LP earphones. The cord length is 0.6 meter.
Is this the lengt from the plug for your mp3 to the place where the wire splits into 2 wires for both your ears? Or is this the length from the plug to the speakers.

The MDR-EX57LP from the earpieces to the plug is 1.2 meters (23½ inches).

  • USB Cable short length & Why earphone is white??

Yesterday i have purchased Xperia M2 Dual, and i am really disapointed to see USB cable length and White Colored Earphone, in Indian home generally we have switch board at 2 to 3 feet height from the floor level, and due to short length of the USB cable i am facing problem that where to fix cell phone while charging, i am using stool now and thats why its quite tuff to charge the cell phone, so why Sony's R&D team is not thinking this,  Another problem i found about earphone, i think more then 80% people on the globe like to use Black colored electronic instrument same as me, and thats why i choose Black colored M2 Dual, then why Earphone is White?? how its looks, Black Cell phone and white earphone??? not so good color combination,  Please sony think about this, i am really disapointed.

I don't want to antagonize you at all, but after reading your post, it seems that you want the product to be tailored to you. The length of the cable it's standard, there are longer micro USB cables available in the market, or extensions, as for the color of the headphones that vary per region, even phones in the same country could contain different items.  But make sure to contact Sony directly as this is a user based forum. http://support.sonymobile.com/global-en/contactUs/

  • Sony Sony MDR-EX51LP vs. Sony MDR-EX7

whats the difference between the Sony MDR-EX5LP and the Sony MDR-EX7SL. i've looked at the specs and besides the price, i dont really see the difference. also if any of you have owned one of them please tell me how they are. thanks
    -austin

Here's a pic of the ex5sp and ex7sl. The ex5 in this pic are the SP which has a short cord and a straight plug instead. The LP have a regular length cord with a L plug.
    Looks like the differences are:
Ex7 has a nice silver reinforced cover at the Y of the headphones that says MDR-EX7 on it. They also come with a seperate extension cable with a L plug at the end of it. So you can use them without the extension in a remote or add the extension for regular length without a remote. The newer EX7sl also come with a hard plastic silver box to put the headphones in (instead of the soft bag pictured here). The 5's don't come with a case (only the headphone protector thingy).
The 5's are available in 3 colors instead of just black and white like the 7s are.
BTW. The ex7s are $29.7 USD with free shipping at Amazon.com in the US. Great deal!

  • Suggestions for ear/headphones

I just got my Nano and the Nike + system. The one problem I am having is with the ear buds that came with the Nano. No matter what I try, they keep falling out. Any suggestions for ear phones or headphones that work well for a runner?
    Thanks!
    Scott
    G4 Silver   Mac OS X (10.4.7)

I have tried several different brands, all earbud style:
Sennheiser OMX-70 -- these do not fit my ear. The neck from the speaker to the outside piece is short and thick and so the headphones constantly pop out. I bought a podfitkit, which creates a mold around them to hold them in. It helps, but its difficult to get them in my ear with the mold. Plus, they are bright green, not my favorite color.
Shure e2c -- these are great sounding headphones, but I had trouble keeping them in after I started sweating. Plus, the cord is heavy, so you really need to use a clip with them.
Skullcandy smokin' ear buds -- these sound the best (to me, even better than the Shure e2c's). Lot's of bass without sacrificing quality for the higher frequencies. Very light, but are in canal models and thus can be difficult to keep in when sweating. Also, I don't like the cord. It is shorter for one ear. I prefer an even length cord. There is a merchant on EBay that sells them with Etymotic ear inserts. Have read other reviews that say this improves the sound quality and how well they stay in your ear.
Philips MP3-CD with flexible ear hook -- these don't have the best sound, but they stay in my ear better than any others. Indoors, the sound quality is pretty good. But, they are designed with a bass port which creates a lot of wind noise when running outside. Have never had one fall out. Probably my favorite for use while running, but not otherwise. Walgreen's has them for less than $10.

  • HT5521 I have a lightning to usb cable which is 2m in length.  Is there any known issues with trying to recharge an iPad 4 with this longer length.  It seems to me it is taking much longer than a 1m cord to recharge.

    Axel,
I'm afraid a new SSD won't be different from your bad USB stick. I had similar issues over USB with both a (no-brand) stick and TWO 64gb Kingston SSDNow's (running Kubuntu 12.04 with Kernel 3.11, ia_64): it all runs exceptionally well (wanna know how it feels like booting in 5 sec?) for a few days - then suddenly you find yourself facing that dreaded (initramfs) prompt. You ask yourself: why? Did I upgrade grub lately? Did I upgrade the Kernel? I don't recall so. Ok, let's fix this... insert favorite live cd, boot, fsck...what???? THOUSANDS of errors??? Hundreds of files and directories corrupted, and the system is unusable - Reinstall everything from scratch onto another drive.
Rinse and repeat: did this 3 times. Then I found this analysis:
    http://lkcl.net/reports/ssd_analysis.html
I also suspect USB power interrupts more abruptly than SATA power, at shutdown - basically aggravating any power interruption damages. So now I'm going to:
    - buy an Intel S3500!
    - add commit=1 to my mount options in /etc/fstab
    - edit shutdown procedure to add a 5-10 sec pause after unmounting drives.
    Just my two cents.

  • Anyone know what's the cable length of the earphones? not the earpod one, the traditional one.

I was wondering what's the length of the old iphone earphones?

Approximately 1065 mm from audio jack to splitter and 330 mm to earpiece.

  • I have a brand new Nano Ipod 7th Generation.  I can't get any sound out of earphones.  Yes, have pushed the cord all the way in.  Screen shows tunes are playing, but I can't hear anything.  Volume bar shows volume all the way up.  Now what?

No sound out of earphones.  Yes, cord is all the way in the jack.  Screen shows tune is "playing", but I can't get any sound out.  Help

If this is the case, I recommend to visit Apple store to request for replacement. Cheers!

  • Power cord length

How long is the power cord length for the MacBook Pro?

The cord with the MagSafe connector, going from the
power supply to the MBP, is about 1.78 m (70
    inches).
My three-prong extension cord, going from the wall
socket to the power supply, is about the same length,
although I have the German version with a Schuko
plug, so the US version may be different.
US version is about the same.

  • Mic is too sensitive, calls constantly cut out. People tell me y loud, and it sounds like I'm in a tunnel. Any background noise, and call is completely cutting out. This occurs all the time, but more so using earphones with in cord mic.

I have iphone5 ios6 and the Mic is too sensitive, and calls constantly cut in and  out. People tell me there is loud background noise and it sounds like I'm in a wind tunnel. Any background noise, and call completely cuts in and out and sounds as if call is dropping. This occurs all the time, but more noticeable while using earphones with in cord mic. I never had this problem with my old iphone4. Has anyone experienced this, and is there a setting that can correct this problem?

Same problem for me.  So bad in fact that I can't really use my headphones for calls.  I have tried it with several sets of headphones.  My primary are the Bang and Olufsen headphones which were great with the previous iphone 4 and 3.
    Apple please address this issue.

  • Apple TV Power cord Length

I am about to purchase an Apple TV, but need to know in advance how long the power cord is. I would like to run it behind my wall just like the majority of the cables for my HDTV.
Would you believe for the life of me that I cannot find this information here at apple.com? User manual, dicsussions, etc - nothing has this info. Hoping someone out there does, or at the very least would humor me and take a measuring tape to their AppleTV power cord.
    Thanks!!

    Ashley May1,
You haven't entered any location info in "My Settings" so we don't know where in the world you live. Since the power cord shipped with Apple products varies by country, that info would help.
Anyway, if the cord isn't long enough, is there some reason you can't use a standard extension cord to reach an outlet? While, as someone suggested, you may be able to find a longer cord with a "figure 8" receptacle to match the socket on the Apple TV, it is usually a lot easier & cheaper to use a standard extension cord.
Failing that, anyone with electrical wiring experience should be able to cut off the plug end of the Apple TV's power cord & splice on a longer cord in a manner that meets your local electrical code, for instance with crimp-on "butt" connectors.

  • How do you use your Apple mini- DVI to DVI cord?

Hi. I just went to an apple shop yesterday to get an Apple Mini-DVI to DVI to hook my 17 inch iMac to a 20 inch external display(Samsung SyncMaster 204B) and was surprised by the length of the cord. How can you connect the two displays with such a short cord? Am I missing something? I could use it if I put my second display right in front of my iMac as opposed to putting them side by side... I read some posts and noticed that some of you are using the cord so just wondering how you do it...

Thank you for your reply. I had a look at the cable you are using but they are much longer than the DVI to DVI cable…I want to hook my iMac to an external display, not a TV though…
I hook mine to a DVI-HDMI cable to plug into my HDTV.
You probably just need a standard DVI cable if your
TV has a DVI input. The "cord" is mainly just an
    adapter.

  • My Ipod touch battery life depreciating, and it seems to coincide with my earphones no longer registering

    Hello,
I have had a few iPod's over the last couple of years, and well I am starting to get bored of exchanging/purchasing a new one because of what seems like a reoccuring problem. My iPod's battery is dying... it no longer lasts a day even without use (I have taken off extra apps-I just have what came with my iPod on my phone, my bluetooth is disabled). This has happened to me before, I had reset my iPod. Reuploaded it from my back up as well as return it to manufaturers defaults and sync'd it as a brand new iPod and this has not helped. (Initially I thought maybe I had a corrupted file on there).
I had taken my iPod into the Genius Bar, told me to do the manufaturers reset, even had an ipod exchanged. I was told that doing mini charges would 'teach' the battery that it was empty before it truly was. So I stopped using a car charger, I now use my iPod and let it die before I charge it once again, or at least have it below the 20% battery life before I will plug it in. And yet the problem still persists. I know I have time to take it in and have it looked over, but I'm tired of the same issue.
This issue seems to come along with an issue with my earphones. I use the Skullcandy 50/50 ear buds that have been working on my iPod for months now. And yesterday I had been listening to my iPod in the car using the AUX port, have my iPod volume all the way up and my speakers down. Typically when I take out the AUX port cord and replace them with my earphones the iPod would change the volume level to what I was listening to last with earphones. But now it isn't doing that, and the controls for the pause, volume, skip/rewind no longer work.
The Apple staff have been very kind to me, but as a customer I am getting tired of having to deal with this. I am just at my wits ends as this would be my 3rd iPod... so I think that it's me causing this but what could I possibly be doing to create this?

    - Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. If defective and not abused Apple will experience it with a refurbished one since it should be within the one-year warranty.
