Length/width details

Hi Gurus,
When we are packing material Ex:20228365 into a Pallet P -under packing screen W/vol length/width/height details are picking up from P materail master( Under Additonla data-UOM), i beleive this is a standard SAP functionality but we wanted this to be altered for a specific plant/SA thats it needs to Pick from the 20228365 ( material for which we are going to pack).
Can any one let me know how do i achieve this?
Its a urgent requirement for me but it went on vein while achieving this.

Hi friends i need a report in which i am to show material , plant , storage location , batch no , & material length & material width ( its charcteristics are defined by using a class ) , i have found table AUSP in which
field ATFLV field is populated with length & width details but i am not getting how to link this with material no & batch kindly anybody send me elaborated steps will be very thankful if with appropriate codes ,bcoz m new to abap .

i tried this you are saying what is correct but when i m taking the cuobj = internal object no , there is problem that but have differnt no as cuobj of 50 char & internal object no is of 18 & numc so there is problem

SAP PP: In BOM how to where to maintain the details like Length, Width and Quantity

Dear All,
In SAP PP where to maintain the details like Length, Width, Quantity of the material for production information.
Eg:
Client will procure a material of 10milli meter Thickness Mild Steel material of fixed dimensions lets say 4meters x 4Meters
{so the material dimensions are 4000Milli Meter (Length) x 4000Milli Meter (Height) x 10milli meter (Breadth) Mild steel Sheet}
For production the above plate is to cut into desired sizes as per the drawings given by Design Department of "N" no qtys.
(let say in drg for the component the desired sizes are 1000Milli Meter (Length) x 1000Milli Meter (Height) x 10milli meter (Breadth) of 4Nos}
In BOM where all we can maintain the above details. The same details wants to send it to production for their quick reference.
Also how the system will calculate the weight automatically for procuring of raw material with the above details.
Note: Purchase department will procure the full length as i mentioned above but not the desired lengths to be produce for production.
Pls let me know if any further information required for the solution to suggest.

Hi,
You can use two options...
1. Classification...create characteristics like length, height and breadth with CT04, assign these chars to class (CL01) and assign this class to your raw material in classification view in material master (MM02). When you receive the material from vendor during GR enter the values for characteristics. (activate Batch management).
Now when you create the Production Order, in the components for this raw material, assign the batch..
When this is issued against the Production order , production people can see the details of values in the batch...
2. Try to explore the option of variable size item concept during creation of BOM..

In the main packing screen, you should be able to see weight/volumes/..information at header level (i.e. for Packing material) but you can as well see the the same at item level or for the matrial being packed.
In your case you are trying to see additional information which is available at header level, so ofcourse you would be only view the information regarding regarding the HU .
Why have you such a strange requirement? I mean can't you manage from item packing screen, as it is already available ?

Maximum size is fixed for selection-screen.
Split your text into different lines to fit it.
Create a text element for your text and write it as comments.

    parameters : p_all radiobutton group g2 default 'X'.
    selection-screen comment 10(75) text-049.
selection-screen end of line.
selection-screen begin of line.
    parameters : p_iloc radiobutton group g2.

Chinese export to pdf in pixels - fixed length width

I have the C# windows form program which will export the Sales POS Receipts in PDF. But I find that due to fonts problem, the chinese and english words that make it not aligned for each line.
But I heard that there is a solution that will make the char length be the same for each letters in pixels by assigning full-width to chinese and half-width to english words.
Which library I can use for handling pixels length when exporting to PDF???

Object name length/width limitation

We have a DB2 table and one of the column's width is 31. [say PST_NET_NEG_RPLCMT_COST_SRC_AMT]
While insert that table into designer, the column name width/legth is truncted to 30. [say PST_NET_NEG_RPLCMT_COST_SRC_AM]
Version: Designer 12.1.0.882

We have DB2 universes with longer columns and they work fine. What version of BusinessObjects are you using?
You can always update the object definition. The table structure is not that important. Just add the extra (missing) characters into the object (or join) definition and you should be fine.

Permission to change logistic data like length width heigth...

I wrote a Report that uses BAPI_MATERIAL_MAINTAINDATA_RT to allow the user to change the logistic data of an material like:
ls_bapie1marmrt-length
ls_bapie1marmrt-volumeunit
ls_bapie1marmrt-gross_wt
and so on.
But I don't want to grant the users permission to use transaction MM42 (yes, we use Retail, 6.40 is my Release).
How would the role has to look like to meet my requirements?

Hi,
Unfortunately, a characteristic can be created with a maximum length of 18 characters. The only workaround would be to create an user-defined characteristic of length CHAR18, and then fill it with the first 18 positions of the source field by derivation.

As per subject, how are the height, length, wieght...etc listed in the Item Master Data utilized in SBO? Can we see them in Inventory Audit Report? or any other reports??

Sorting by pixel length/width in Aperture 2.0

I have a smart album for images to be submitted to a stock agency. This agency requires that the long edge of an image be a minimum of a certain number of pixels. How can I sort out the images that meet those requirements from those that need to be enlarged to meet the requirement? I tried sorting using pixel size, but I'm not sure what "pixel size" means to Aperture exactly, as some images that have clearly larger pixel dimensions get listed in the middle of ones that have smaller dimensions.
Any ideas?

Report where material no material length ,& material width are needed

I am working on a report for the stcoks material detail but i am unable to find the table where the details of length & width of the material is stored I have tried almost all the possible ways like ST05 , report evaluation, RECORDING , WHERE USED LIST BUT UNABLE TO FIND the table .
SCENARIO IS that my mm consultant has made a batch class using class type 023 where he maintained the length & width of material . i am to make a report similar to RMMMBSTEN where length & width are
shown in tcode MMBE . kindly help me with elaborated steps .

How to fix Classic table column width / length fix ?

Hi,
I have a page for display purpose. In this page I am showing record.
My requirement is to make Description column width fix. If data of description is huge then height will increase but not the length / width.
Currently width property is 100%.
Table is attached to VO.
How to it ?

I was looking into the two screen shots , i also had a close look at “Device Description” and “UDID " columns .
I have also tried in my Jdeveloper it was not working . But it works fine if you change item style from styled text to
message text input . I want you to try one more thing , since it work fine for message text input , change item style
to message text input and set Read Only property to ' TRUE' and check .
Keep size as same as you did before :
Height :- 2
Width :- 30

Query - Authorization Check for Material Details

I've got a requirement where I've to put authorization check in a number of transactions (standard as well as custom) which lead to material display some way or the other for specifc matarils (checking the authorization field). Few are for reports (may be interactive) as well. The need is to stop unauthorized people from getting access to the specifc material details such as dimensions (quantity,length, width, etc.).
The first option would be to stop the user from viewing the material itself and showing some appropriate error message.
The second option would be to make the above said details invisible in the screen for the specific matarials.
The Authorization object is M_MATE_MAT.
The Authorization field is BEGRU.
The range of tcodes start from ME21, ME22, ME23, ME23N ...to MM01, MM02 etc. and a number of custom tcodes.
What is the best way to achieve this? I guess I'd need to look for exits. Please suggest

Invisible on the screen, you might need to consider the material screens user exit. I am not sure how your material master configured

All in all, you need user exits to have field level authorization and maintain authorizations at transaction level for the one you dont want to show anyone or to few

any body tell me is there standard business object in sap so that in my workflow i want to display the warehouse details of the material like length,width, height..etc so that i can create subtype for the business object and use it for my workflow.

You can use the standard business object BUS3016.
