Lenono Vibe X2 Battery Die even when phone is not being used
HI,
I baught Lenovo Vibe X2 couple of months back, and I continuously noticed that the battery of my phone die within 4-5 hours. Even i am not using my phone at all it doesn't work for more then 7-8 hours.
I am seriously not able to understand what to do with this mobile. Having a new mobile in my hand with charger connected everywhere i go. This is not acceptable from such a big brand.
I would like to add one more thing, after use of 10-15 minute it heats up like a buring stove.
I upgraded it with the updates but nothing worked at all, and now i am in serious trouble as my job is to travel a lot.
Please suggest me what to do.

This is not usualy for the X2. The X2 does not really heat up and the battery should last for at least a day with normal usage. I don't have the X2 but it should have about 4 to 5 hours of onscreen, that is when you have the screen on for 4 to 5 hours that is how long it should last. With moderate ussage you should last a day.
It could be either that you installed some apps that are killing your battery or you get some third party viruses or malware. If this would be the case you could reset the phone to factory settings and get everything that should not be there deleted and wiped out. I would not even do a back-up to make sure all is deleted fully and truly.
Second, your phone could have some hardware issue and for that you are best to cotact the service center and they might repair or exchange your unit. Finally, if you go the Settings > Power management > Power consumption details --- you will see what app or hadware is consuming your batter the most, and based on that you can act.

All lithium-ion batteries lose some charge when the computer or device is powered off.
If the battery is entirely depleted after the iPhone is powered off with a fully charged battery at the time, something is wrong - unless powered off for a number of weeks or months. -
My location indicator icon on the tool bar seems to blink on randomly even when I have not used any services. Also when I do use a service I am not seeng the purple icon in the pricacy-location services appearing next to the recently used icon it seems to stay grey. Any ideas? Is this a bug perhaps?
I experience the same thing today. After hanging up from a regular phone call, I noticed the location services icon showing on the status screen of my phone for a split second. I always have my location services off. I checked my privacy settings and there was no record of any program using the location services. What is going on Apple? I was in a familar and secure WiFi network. Is location services secretly turning on thru wifi?

My cursor keeps blinking every 30 secs or so even when no app is being used. How can I stop this?

I hope you can help me with this. Just today, my cursor keeps on blinking (or loading?) every 30 seconds or so for no reason at all. At first I thought it was the auto-save for my MS Word, but even after I closed it, it's still blinking even when I'm not
using any apps. Tried killing spooler in task manager as I saw in other forums but it's still blinking.
Would very much appreciate your help.
I'm using a Toshiba Satellite L40D-A, Windows 8.

Thanks for the question. This alert usually appears if there is debris in your dock connector. Check to make sure it is free of any debris:
“This cable or accessory is not certified and may not work reliably with this iPhone."
"This accessory is not supported by this device."
If either of these alerts appear and nothing is connected to the dock connector, make sure that the dock connector is free of debris.

Insane Data Usage When Phone Is Not In Use
I started noticing over the last month or so, that my wife's line has been using triple the data I do.
She is not a data user as I am...

What the heck is going on here?
Can anybody help???I am having the same problem. Went to a Verizon store to see if someone there could help me. While in the store another customer was in asking the same question. We were both told by the Verizon store manager that she couldn't help us. She told us to call Verizon to get it straightened out. Tried to get through to Verizon on the phone and got tired of being on hold for 30 minutes. Went online to try to "chat" with a representative and I couldn't get through to anyone that way either. I have a shared plan with my husband and we have never gone over the 4GB. Now it is continually sending alerts that we are going to get charged for overage. The records show data being used all hours. Even when we are asleep??? Hope Verizon gets this straightened out soon.

Why am I being charged data usage during the times my phone is not being used?
I got a notice on my phone that my number has used all of its allowed data usage for the month. I looked at my current usage and seen that I was being charged for data usage during the times that I am not using my phone. I figured it up and it adds up to be more than the amount that you say I am over. Explain please.
Ok, what all should I turn off on my 5s and I should get any additional fees waived. I just got this new phone about a week before Thanksgiving and never got a notice till it was full. I have never went over before. I also have never been told that I could be charged data even if I am not using my phone and I should make these changes to prevent this.
Also, the phone was 2 days late getting to me. So in addition to any additional fees that I may occur from the overage I should get a credit for the delay in my phone being sent. Oh, and it probably would have been longer had I not called to see where it was at, which the guy that helped me put in the order and was to follow up the next day with a phone call to let me know what the status was and never did. -
Why does the string indicator revert to default value when it's not being used?
Can anyone explain to me why one of the two string indicators in the attached VI reverts to it's default value (empty) when the case structure is false?

LabView bug.vi 8 KBString 1 is wired to the connector pane...that's why you're seeing this behavior. Disconnect String 1 from the connector pane and it will behave just like String 2. Likewise, connect String 2 to the connector pane and you'll see it get blanked out too. I'm not really sure why we empty the value when it's wired to the connector pane, but the behavior goes back to LabVIEW 8.0, maybe earlier.

IPhone gets very hot when not being used!
Been having some trouble with my iPhone recently. For some reason the iPhone gets hot - I don't mean warm... When it's in my pocket I can feel the heat being generated, or sometimes I'll pick it up from my desk and it'll be warmer than me, even when it's not being used.
It's started doing this recently. I've already had to hard reset it due to other issues but in addition to the heat issue the battery goes down really quickly, again when it's not being used. Today from a full charge it was down to 50% in about 2 hours.
I had suspicions it was due to a recently installed app, but I'm not sure.
Any ideas? Does it sound like hardware or software to you? Is there an app I can use to see what app is being used the most (in terms of CPU/memory/battery usage)?Thanks both. I've restored the device and I'll see how that goes. In addition I've turned off Bluetooth since it doesn't work properly (the reason for doing the first reset). I'm finding if my headset goes out of range of the iPhone, it disconnects and never reconnects to the iPhone. If the headset is out of range for too long and I try reconnecting it via the BT menu option by selecting the headset, it tries to find it but fails. I end up having to completely re-pair the headset all over again.
Any reason for this or is it a known issue with the bluetooth? -

Safari 6.0.5 on Mac with OS X 10.8.4 (Mountain Lion) on Mac mini (October 2012) 1TB Fusion Dive (700 GB free) 16GB RAM (8GB free) spontaneously quits (auto-quits) when left idle (not being used use) with no Safari-window is open.
Console says nothing. No error message. Safari shows open on the Dock, and after a while it os not there. It has quitted itself!

My new iPhone 4S loses battery life even when switched off?
Purchased a new iPhone just last week.
I drained the battery completely and then full cycle charged it. Disabled Siri, location, apps, notifications etc.
So far I have been very conservative with my iPhone making phone calls and texts only.
Just started to notice these past 3 days that i lose 2-3% of battery life even when my iPhone is switched off..
How is this even possible?

Even when I charge my Mac Pro to the full bar, the battery seems to be drained even when I am not using it. Example, after charging it full, i switched it on the next day and its 79% battery left. Is there something wrong? help please
Assuming you are disconnecting from line power, when you say switched on, do you mean it was shutdown or in sleep mode? If sleep mode the battery will still drain because sleep still keeps some things active and the battery does drain a little. However, to go from 100% to 79% charge overnight is a bit excessive in sleep mode. Unless you have some processes set to activate over night by the cron file and do things like backup the system.
What are the statistics on the battery, the apple in the upper left corner, About This Mac, More Info, System Report, Hardware, Power...things like battery Condition, Capacity, remaining charge, voltage, current. -
My iphone 5, with iOS 7.0.2, is heating and consuming the battery very fast when 3G is on, even when I'm not using it. Any solution?
iOS 7 has many multiple tasks. You can save battery life to some extent by few steps. First go to location services and bettr 'Off' them which are not needed. (Ex. Notes.. Reminders.. Etc). Also you can off few apps in 'get notifications' centre. Also usage of 3g by any mobile consumes much battery life. Better to connect any Wi-fi

My network symbol keeps working on my home page even when I'm not doing anything, I know there has been problems in the past with this so has it come back, help it's killing my battery!
Close all open apps by double-tapping the home button, then swiping up and off the screen with the app window (not the smaller icon).
Reset your device: hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until the screen goes black and you see the Apple, then let go. (No data loss) -
Battery depleting even when not using
Ever since I downloaded the last software update, I am finding that my battery is depleting almost overnight even when I am not using it. I have to charge it every night and it doesn't last as long when I am using my ipod. Do you know what the issue is?
