Lenova Y50-70 touch laptop battery problem

Hi, I got my new Lenova Y50-70 touch model yesterday, same I upgraded to windows 10. today i noticed my laptop battery drain faster. I did full charging but drained with in 1 hours. Please help me to resolve this. or do i need to request for replacement. Thanks for understanding. Regards,Muthu

Follow-up: After long phone call with Lenovo Tech Supprt - still no acceptable resolution.
Only resolution offered by Lenovo is to send it in for repair - at our cost - since damage is considered cosmetic and not covered under warranty...on a 60 day old machine! Seriously, this is the worst customer relations experience I've ever had. Please don't anyone else purchase a Y50-70 model, as we aren't the only ones to have this problem and Lenovo isn't standing behind their product.

Laptop battery problem?

Now my question is, HAS something to do with the charging cable (there still burns the green light, Which means clustering something like that comes from the power repays Seckdose) or something on the laptop, or is it broken?

Hi,
This error is a little misleading and actually refers to your notebooks main battery - it indicates that the amount of charge the battery can store has fallen below 25% of its original maximum.
The only real solution is to replace the battery.
Note:
You can certainly carry on using the notebook, however you will notice a drop in the amount of time you can run on the battery before it requires charging again.

New Laptop Battery problem

Hello, I just bought a new HP laptop MODEL: 2000-219DX last week Friday from best buy but apparently the battery never took charge. I contacted the HP technical support and after some troubleshooting and testing the battery they advised me to take it in for service. I live in the Bahamas and the laptop is still under warranty, therefore I'm not able to bring it back there. What can I do to resolve this situation?

Sorry to hear that you have an issue with your battery. If you have done troubleshooting with HP and it was determined that the battery is defective, HP will normally send a replacement battery. I am confused by your statement that you were advised to take to a service center. Additionally, I am concerned that the you are having an issue with a new notebook. IPod Touch 4g Battery Problem Plz Help

I will plug my iPod touch in before I go to bed each night and it has been working fine since Ive had it shipped to me about a year now. But the past two nights I plug it in and in the morning it says 20% battery remaining. When I plug it in it says it's charging with the battery charging icon and everything. So I tried plugging it in to my computer USB and it worked and got past 20% but I have never seen it at 100% ever since two nights ago. My other iOS devices like my iPad charge perfectly fine on the same wall charger I use with my iPod. Is something wrong with my iPod touch 4th generation battery! Plz help Thanks for reading.

If you set it up "as new" without using the latest backup afterwards and the battery life did not get better, you'll have to get it serviced or make an appointment at your next Apple Store. Maybe your battery is damaged.

My dell inspiron 15 3521 is 2 years old.. i had a problem with the battery and i replaced the battery last September.. my battery drained low and i left it without charging for a month.. Now as i power it .. it says 0% available (plugged in, charging) but it stays there.. i have tried pressing the power button for 40 secs and there hasnt been any change.. i need help asap

We will have to check the status of the adapter in BIOS; if the adapter is not detected properly the system will continue to receive power but will not charge the battery. Please follow the steps mentioned below to check if the adapter is detected properly.
Start the computer by pressing the power button
Press the F2 key 2-3 times
you will now be on the BIOS screen
Under the Main Tab look for the option that says AC Adapter Type
If the Adapter Type says Unknown or None with the adapter plugged in.
Reconnect the adapter to the machine and if the status now shows as Unknown then the AC Adapter needs to be replaced.
Also, I would suggest you to run a thorough test on the battery. You can download Support assist from the link below and run the PC CHECKUP on Battery to check for issues

Y50-70 Non-Touch - Broken Hinges Problem

Hello all, 6 Months old Lenovo Y50-70, with regular usage, and no misuse. Has the plastic covering the hinges, broken. Regular usage, such has, over the desk, on an cooling pad, daily usage of 8 hours average (Std. deviation 3 hours). Using caution and care, while packing and removing from a bag. Never holded with a single hand. Never moved with the screen lid open. This is my regular usage. Misuse such as, holding in any position or angle which can warrant damage. Or any intentional act that does warrant to damages. Or any intentional act where, I have tried to alter the hardware of the product. Any unintentional accident, due to lack of diligence, or any in the same meaning. I have done no such misue on the product. I bought this PC in the Middle East (Dubai, U.A.E.). Once I noticed the damages, I alerted the service center. They provided me with a drop-off point. I provided the laptop, and was told that I would receive a call in 3-4 working days. On the 4th working day, I recieved the call. It was a guy who called me. He told me, striaght-away that this damage is not covered under the warranty. Additionally he also said, that he would also confirm the same with this supervisor. This was a bit confusing, if it is unconfirmed then why say it is not under the warranty. Or was he just mentally preparing me that probably I might have to pay for the damages. I had read earlier on this forum, the following. The concern here is that it is repaired under warranty, but the problem will occur again after a few weeks.
Do they simple glue everything back together?
Do they loosen the screws in the hinge?
Do they replace the laptop with a new model (a newer manufacter date) that does not have this problem?

IPod touch Battery Problems Since iOS 7 was installed last year.

Hello, I've had recurring battery problems with my iPod touch since the iOS 7 update was installed, and I find myself having to charge my iPod touch (5th Generation) a lot more frequently since I installed this update.
On iOS 6, I had never experienced any problems with the iPod touch's battery, as I was able to let the battery drain down completely, and let it charge for 4 hours (recommended). After the iPod touch was fully charged for 4 whole hours, I was able to unplug the lightning cable, and the iPod touch on its own would last a few days to at least a week or two weeks.
On iOS 7, since it saw its general release on the 18th September last year, I have found that the iPod's battery has drained so bad, that it dies too quickly, and when I put the iPod touch on charge, in almost an hour, the iPod touch tells me that it is 100% charged. However, when I take the iPod touch off its charge after it fully charges for that hour, it quickly drains down again.
I have gone through the standard procedure of restoring my iPod touch to its factory settings, and I have seen absolutely no improvement on the battery life whatsoever. I mainly back up whatever is on my iPod touch (I back up pictures, videos and also transfer updates that I have installed for certain apps onto iTunes), though I have seen how some people have backed up the data on their iPod's or iPhones, only they find their iDevice draining so quickly.
Even turning off certain features in the Settings app to improve the battery life doesn't help, as there is almost no difference that solves the problems I'm currently having with the iPod touch's battery.
I recently heard about the free iPhone battery replacement program which is now available, so I'm starting to worry whether I have to pay for a new replacement battery for my iPod touch.
Your help in this matter would be gratefully appreciated.

I mainly charge the iPod touch itself for four hours and it still doesn't make a difference. I've had my iPod touch for almost 2 years and since I installed iOS 7, it still doesn't make a difference.
I was wondering, if the article you have provided doesn't sort the problems with the battery out, is there another alternative??

Be sure that the battery is fully charge then try the following:
Hit the ESC key after power on to bring up the Start up Menu and then select System Diagnostics (F2). Now run the battery test.
If the battery is OK then try the below suggestion:
Go to the Control Panel ----> Power Options and then select the HP Power Manager on the left column. You can then select one of the power plans and see the effects on battery life.
Depending on the power plan selected and what applications your are running, you may not get more than one hour on battery.

Y50-70 Touch Built-In microphone doesn't work

Hi,I recently bought a Lenovo Y50-70 Touch and after couple of weeks I tried to skype and realized that the microphone doesn't work. I tried to uninstall and reinstall the driver and also I checked the microphone level in the mixer but non of them solved the problem.Can someone help me with this problem? How can I send my laptop to be physically checked?Thank you!

I have this problem as well. I installed the latest Realtek audio driver and that had no affect. Not sure what to do - everything is updated - SP3, bootcamp version...

I really don't want to go without it but I dont want to have to purchase a new one. The battery life is abysmal, and I am reluctant to upgrade my ios system to ios8 because all I ever see are complaints about upgrades killing the battery. I am still on ios6. I am just sick of it. I called apple about my itouch battery and the help was terrible. If iTunes can't see the iPod then uor only hope if to contact a data recovery company for getting data off the iPod. If you have an iPod backup you can restore another iPod, iPhone or iPad from the backup to get the data that was in the backup
