Lenovo 3000 - Documents in printer queue

I have 2 documents " stuck" in the printer queue from a print job of  pages....One of 4 has been deleted but 3 still remain in that job. I have followed the printer troubleshooting guide and it still  remains "deleting"....I left both the printer and laptop on all night, woke up this morning and it is still indicates deleting. I have tried everything even over and over again, however I cannot get these documents out of the queue so I can't print anything. Please help.

  • Cannot clear a document from printer queue, and it is preventing printing, i have rebooted

    HP G72 notebook printer
Wifi networked to Lexmark Pro 205 printer
I have a document which is stuck in the print queue and will not cancel and remove. I have rebooted the computer three times, the printer three times and the network. It is blocking printing by the printer.
How do I remove and clear the queue?

Hi this might work as well
    1. Click start and go to the control panel and next go to printers.
    2. Doubleclick your printer icon.
    3. In the new screen click on the word printer in the top left corner en set a check mark with "use printer offline".
    4. Disconnect the unit from the computer.
    5. Click on the word printer again in the top left corner and choose "cancel all printjobs". Wait until this happens.
    6. If this not happens restart your computer and check if the printjob is gone now. If it does happen skip step 6.
    7. If the printjob is gone reconnect your printer and click printer in the top left corner again and remove the check mark with "use printer offline".
    8. Try printing.

  • Stalled documents in printer queue

I'm running Windows 7. My printer is a HP CP1215. I have a CP1215 and it shows in Devices and Printers. It has two stalled documents in its queue that will not delete.  How do I clear all these jobs out of queue?  The status of both jobs is  "deleting..." I've turned the printer on and off several times.

Hi,Try following the HP Print and Scan Utility below by selecting Fix Printing, it should automatically clear any item from its queue:http://h20180.www2.hp.com/apps/Nav?h_pagetype=s-926&h_lang=en&h_client=s-h-e016-1&h_keyword=dg-PDU Regards,Shlomi

  • Print command does not place document in print queue

    VISTA OS;   HP Photosmart 7510
A cntl-P or File/Print command will momentarily prompt a printer icon at the lower right of the screen.   However that "printer" holds no documents.   The printer icon soon disappears.   The Printer window shows the correct printer, checked (indicating default printer) and with an icon in the lower left indicating connected to a network.   Printer connected to the same network.    Can't get a document to stay in the queue long enough for it to reach the printer over the network!

  • Can't delete a document in printing queue

Any others I submit won't print, but I can delete them from the queue. Just one I can't get rid of so I can print again. Can you help?

What printer model? What operating system?  You might try the HP Print Diagnostic Utility, it can correct many of these kinds of issues.

  • Where are items stored in print queue?

I held documents in print queue for several weeks while I had my printer packed for moving. System still backed up using Time Machine during this time. Before I reconnected printer, in trying to resolve another issue, I used Onyx software and deleted the cache (which apparently included the print queue). Now I want to recover the documents in the print queue from my time Machine back up but I am unable to find them.
Where does OS X 10.6 put the data to print documents from the print queue? What is the name of the file or folder where they are stored?

    tomfromflagstaff wrote:
Yes, I assume that the CUPS job is what caused my difficulty.
    And they are gone.
As I mentioned, I only tried Onyx in 10.7.x.  Deleting the cache for the CUPS jobs did not actually remove a print job I had spooled.  I was able to "see" the file beginning the the "d" in /private/var/spool/cups and move it to my Desktop.
Did you try the Terminal comand I had in my last post to see if there are any files in the spool directory?  You will not be able to see the files themselves as even administrators do not have enough privileges to view that directory.  The best you can do is use the sudo command to list the files.
The long and short of it is that if the files are not in /private/var/spool/cups, they are gone.
If I understand you correctly, restoring my system to the Time Machine back-up prior to performing this maintenance will not restore my system to it's state (including these print files) at the time of the back-up? How can that be? My understanding was that Time Machine backed-up everything.
Are there other vital files that Time Machine does not back up?
That is my understanding based on what I see in 10.7.x.  Time Machine does not back up any caches or any of the files in /private/var/spool/cups.  Time Machine will also not back up any other caches or system logs.  I don't have a list of what it does not back up.  I am not even sure if there is such a list available to users.

Print PDF or some other documents. Print queue shows document size spooling 24 or more Mb  when file is only 1 Mb.
Print takes a long time to come through.
Print JPEG - normal spooling and printing.

    Hi,
That's very normal. Depending on many things, machine (laptop/PC) has to send many "commands" down to the printer therefore the file is getting huge.

  • Change "document" to report title in print queue

When printing from Crystal Reports to a printer, in the print queue, the Document Name is "Crystal Reports - " and the report title.
When printing using ReportDocument in Visual Basic .NET program to a printer, the Document name is "document".
Is there a way to change "document" to the report title in code?

You can only do it using RAS I believe by using the PrintReportOptions objects JobTitle property.
This is only available using Enterprise or CR XI R2 SP2.

  • Documents in CP1215 print queue won't delete - Windows 7 Home

I'm running Windows 7 Home Edition. My printer is a HP CP1215. Two problems. I have a CP1215 and it shows in Devices and Printers. It has two stalled documents in its queue that will not delete. It itself cannot be deleted. In addition on a restart of my system a copy 1 of this printer showed up and it has two different documents in its own queue which will not delete, nor can it be deleted. on the printer face there is a rotation of flashing indicator lights - the power on light, the orange triangle light and the paper feed light that starts up and then shuts down after a minute only to restart on its own after perhaps 20 minutes or so.
How do I clear all this and get back to just a single copy of the CP1215 without anything stuck in the queue?

Hard Reset – While printer is powered ON, pull the power cord from the printer then from the wall. After 30 seconds reconnect power to wall and printer. This will trigger a ‘dirty power up’ and restore the printer to a known good condition (if it is possible). No user settings are lost with a ‘hard reset’.
This ‘Hard Reset’ is one of the most powerful tools to use when the printer hardware is not functioning properly!

  • Print queue stalling when spooling many documents

Hello all, need help with a peculiar issue.
We have just built a brand-new Server 2003 R2 SP2 x86 virtual server in VMWare.  This server is also installed with the Subsystem for UNIX-based Applications components and a program called PrintMonitor that appears to be a bridge between a UNIX-based
application on UNIX server submitting print jobs to the Server 2003 R2 server.
The problem is that whether going through PrintMonitor or just into the standard Windows printing subsystem, the print queue for any of the 3 printers installed on the server will stall when a large number of documents are submitted.  For example, if
15 small Notepad documents are printed to a printer, they will all queue, but after 11 print (this number appears to be consistent and repeatable), it can take anywhere from 45 seconds to 2 minutes for the rest to print.
I've already done a lot of searching on this issue and everything I read says that printing problems are most likely due to print drivers.  Of the three printers, one is an HP 4000 series LaserJet and the other 2 are large Kyocera TASKalfa 8001i's.
The problem has manifested on all three printers, but so far we've only tried to remedy the problem on the HP.  We've tried 4 alternate drivers and the problem persists.  The HP PCL5 and PS drivers completely failed to work because it didn't
have correct paper parameters.  The PCL6 driver behaved the same as the driver included in Windows.  We've tried submitting through PrintMonitor and directly into Windows, but the problem persists there as well, which would seem to eliminate PrintMonitor
as the source of the problem.
Does anyone else have any suggestions on what we can try?

This is a very old issue due to the RFC and design of the lpr protocol.  Can you not use Standard TCP/IP ports to the print devices rather than LPR ports?
Here's a doc comparing limitations in LPR and reasons to move to Standard TCP/IP Port monitor.
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc728404(v=WS.10).aspx
All the print devices you listed support Standard TCP/IP Ports.
If you really have to stick to LPR Port due to your PrintMonitor application, respond back or just search for: 721 lpr alan morris.

  • Printing multiple copies of a document on a remote network printer queue

    Hello,
We have migrated our main production instance (ECC6) from HP-UX to AIX 6.1, went live on monday.
    Printers are defined like this:
SAP prints to the local operating system (C)
Local print queues are defined which point to remote printers still currently located on a HP UX server. Nothing was changed on this one.
Now since the migration on AIX, the parameter for multiple copies of a document is ignored, if we select for example 4 copies on the SAP print screen, only 1 copy is printed. It worked perfectly fine when the instance was on HP UX.
Seems that the lp command on AIX does not pass the optional parameters when printing on a remote printer (was acknowledged by AIX support), and if we issue manually on AIX a lp command with parameter -n2 for example, only one copy is indeed printed.
I wonder if there is a simple workaround to this problem since it must be quite common? I didn't find anything here or in the Sap notes.
    Thanks.

Thanks, but the idea is to get it to work without additional products since it worked fine under HP UX.
Seems the AIX administrator has found a workaround with modifying the queue definitions in qconfig, to be BSD style... tests in progress

  • Documents stuck in queue with Epson Artisan 725 Printer

I just bought an Epson Artisan 725 all-in-one printer, replacing an Epson Stylus Photo R200.
I dutifully ran the install CD. The printer is found on the Airport Network. The iMac G4, running 10.4 can print. Neither the iMac G5 or the MacBook, both running 10.5.8 can print. Documents, including the test page, get stuck in the queue, with a status of "stopped," and can't be requeued.
I get the infamous error: (/Library/Printers/EPSON/InkjetPrinter2/Filter/rastertoescpII.app/Contents/MacO S/rastertoescpII) stopped with status 206!
which I can "catch" and copy from the print queue. Or I can see it in the CUPS error log.
I've tried all kinds of uninstalling, reinstalling, reinstalling upgraded drivers from the Epson site, repairing disk permissions. I even got all the way up to the Epson second tier of support.
They say it's an Apple problem, and I have no AppleCare.
I would upgrade to Snow Leopard on the MacBook if I knew this would fix the problem. I'm going to do that anyway. But I will still need the iMac G5 to print also.
    What could I try that I haven't?

Not good here. I've been at it for two days to no avail.
I have an old G3 iBook; it networks with the Artisan 725, and I can even capture a scan. The printer works fine with my PowerBook G4, but anytime I try to print from the iBook the job queue stops and will not resume. I've run to the end of tech support, reset the Printer Setup Utility, I've deleted and reinstalled the driver and utilities more times than I can count. I even erased reformatted and reinstalled the hard drive, logged on from alternate accounts, even went at it with the fixya mac Printer Setup Repair app. Nothing seems to work.
I'm guessing that it's just time for a new computer, but dang-it there's nothing I've run across that says it's impossible to use the Artisan 725 with a G3. Anybody with a suggestion would be rewarded with my undying gratitude.
