If you go to the W2K Audio Driver download page for the J100 and scroll down to "Before installing the Package" you will find links to the UAA audio drivers.

  • Lenovo 3000 G530 Gprahics Driver problem

    i baught a new new laptop lenovo 3000 G530 with intel x4500mhd
    installed vista ultimate x64
and donwloaded intel gma driver from lenovo support site...
but when i go for install it says " This Computer Does Not Meet the minimum requirements to instlal the software" with error mark

I had same problem. So what is wrong?
Actioly it is because that driver on Lenovo website is not x64... it is x32... so looks like your destiny is to install Vista x32. Because there is no x64 video driver at all!
N.B. I can say more - non of that drivers from Lenovo works good in x64 Vista... So i suggest you to install x32 Vista...
Also I wanna give you advise: after you install video drivers from Lenovo website update video drivers from this website: http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/drivers

  • Missing Drivers - Downgraded from Vista Home to Windows XP Pro SP3 - Lenovo 3000 N100 Notebook

    Hey,
I have a lenovo 3000 N100 as well and recently downgraded to Windows XP Pro Service Pack 3.
However, I have a lot of hardware drivers missing (yellow question mark) -
    1) Audio Device on High Definition Audio Bus
    2) Base System Device (listed thrice so I'm guessing there are three separate drivers needed)
    3)Network Controller
    4) Video Controller
    5) Video Controller (VGA Compatible)
I have no audio or wireless either. Lastly, I have spoken to lenovo and they asked me to download some drivers from lenovo.com. I did and also downloaded every possible driver for XP on the lenovo site but still had no luck.
I would really appreciate any help/guidance you can offer. I have exausted all resources at this point.
My email is xxxxxxxxxxxxx so feel free to reach out to me there as well.
    Thanks a ton.

  • Lenovo 3000 N100 notebook cannot connect to my wireless network

    Hello,
this is my first post. I am new member. I also am a very novice/amateur computer user and so I need some help from some pros or anyone that has experienced a similar problem and can help fix my laptop. I have a Lenovo 3000 N100 laptop model number 0768 6EU. About a week ago I updated/downloaded a bunch of software upgrades from Lenovo's website recommended for this computer. Prior to this download I was able to connect to my wireless home network. But after the download of various required/recommended software upgrades it no longer connects to the wireless home network. my other laptops connect so I know that it is not my wireless router. I have tried various things recommended by the ThinkVantage access connection on my computer but I get the following on that: signal strength: 0%, status: disconnected, IP address: not assigned. I also ran the diagnostic tools and it gave me the following: connection status: disconnected, cause: wireless stack initialization failed, error code: 118, recommended action please check the wireless driver installation. I even went to the Intel wireless 3945 abg hardware properties window and pressed the tab to revert back to the prior driver for the wireless card. I would appreciate any help. I know this message/post is long but it is the only way I can explain what is going on

    Hi
I have this problem also with my Lenovo 3000 V200.
Sometimes when I boot up the PC it will connect to the network and everything works just fine.
At other times, after boot, the "wireless stack initialization failed, error code: 118" problem occurs
and the only way to solve it seems to be a PC restart. Nothing else I do will bring the network up.
If I study the Networking tab in Task Manager it indicates that no adapters are available (wired eth.
access also fails). At a few occations connectivity have failed alltogether (i.e. a reboot have not solved
the problem). Last time this occured I had to reinstall the complete system (from a previous backup)
    to get networking up.
I have tried different versions of Access Connections (5.02, 5.12, 5.21) and the same problem occurs
at seemingly random instances in time. This is obviosly a problem with the Access Connections software
since the Wireless networking works fine when I let windows manage it...
    Anyone with a fix?
    /Fredrik

  • Lenovo 3000 N200 (0769) | Windows 7 | What driver do I need?

    Hello,
fist of all I'd like to mention that I am german and consequently am not familiar with all the technical terms in their english incarnation. I am going to describe what I mean the best way I can.
Here's what happened: I fell victim to a virus the other day, which forced me to format my harddrive an reinstall Windows 7 Ultimate on my laptop, a Lenovo 3000 N200 (0769). All went smoothly exept for one thing: I can only choose between a solution of 800x600 and 1024x768. This is apperently due to my computer not beeing able to detect my graphics-device-card-thingy. I know it is in there however, because before i reinstalled Windows everthing was fine.
Assumably there is a driver missing. I tried to find out which one I it was by installing Everest and have it have a look at it, but a message popped up that Everest does not suport my particular laptop. And indeed there was no information it could give me concerning my graphic devices.
I wound greatly appreciate any help I could get.
    Thanks,
    Giles

please provide the device name or/and id. ( such as pci\ven_8086&dev_2929&subsys )
( just click the unknown devices from the device id tab )

  • Has anyone successfully upgraded a Lenovo 3000 N100 to Windows 7?

I have a 3000 N100 with 2 GB of memory on Vista.  Do I need special drivers or firmware changes to successfully upgrade to Windows 7 (32 bit)?  I know I can't increase the memory and am getting a lot of paging with Vista.  Thanks for the help.

You can see my 11/18/2009 post.
The upgrade to windows 7 has been easy on both the Lenovo N100 Notebook (exception - soundMax audio drivers) an an E-Machine Desktop.
I still have no Notebook  DVD audio - seems that there are no SoundMax Win 7 drivers and the Vista compatible option doesn't work.
The Desktop has Realtek and Win 7 drivers are available so every thing now works OK.
We did lose functionality for a 1996 game for which no patch will be made - it wants to control the graphics display and apparently can't use the Win 7 10yrs newer drivers.
Our HP AIO Printer worked with the Win 7 included Drivers but I needed to download the Win 7 files to have the HP programs (Update, Scan, Fax, etc.,).
The Desktop was done with the Upgrade option, the Notebook with the Custom one.

  • Installing Windows 7 on my Lenovo 3000 N100

    Hello!
I have Lenovo 3000 N100 with Windows xp.
I want to install Windows 7 on my computer and I have some questions:
    1) Is it possible to install Windows 7 over my computer?
    2) I have paratition C and rescue and recovery hidden paratition. As a part of Windows 7 installation I have to format drive C.
If i format drive C my paratition will be deleted too? I mean, after Windows 7 Installation will I have the option go restore back to original factory settings (Windows xp) by getting into ThinkVantage by clicking the Lenovo Care Button during startup?
    3) Will I be able to get Windows 7 compatible drivers for my computer? (Sound, Intel graphics, wireless card and etc)
    Thanks!

Windows 7 works well on the N100 with 2 GB ram,
    and a dual core CPU.
If you do not change the size of c: partition,
Lenovo Care Button may still work. I do not know for sure,
as I never used it on my N100s.
Also make sure you have burned recovery disks,
in case the button does not work.
It is also a good idea to create a "disk image" using
a program like Acronis True Image, or similar before
installing another OS. This would be stored on a external hard drive.
There are also various free imaging programs available
on the web. This has been my preferred method.
As for drivers, I only needed to install Audio, and Card Reader
drivers. Win 7 had built-in drivers for the rest, and windows update
found some newer versions. Your results may be different,
due to the different versions of the N100 hardware.
So with some planning, Win 7 works quite well on the N100,
    with some minor quirks, IMO.

  • Memory upgrade for Lenovo 3000 V200 - only 2Gb seen :(

    I bought 2 Transcend DDR2 800 SO-DIMM modules 2Gb each to upgrade memory on Lenovo 3000 V200 notebook.
When I installed them, BIOS (and Windows) sees only 2Gb instead of 4Gb (i use x64 OS so no prob with OS here).
When I install one of new modules and original 1Gb that was in notebook initially - only 1Gb seen instead of 3.
I already checked that all memory modules are OK, both memory slots (if used only one) are OK too.
But when both slots used together only lowest volume memory module is seen.
BIOS update to latest awailable (6th release, ...60WW) didn't help.
In specification stated that this model support up to 4Gb memory but I can't force it to support even 3Gb, only 1 or 2.
Is it possible to do something in this situation?

Probably the Transcend memory is not compatible, it does happen.

  • Inquiry in downgrading OS for Lenovo 3000 G410

First of all... Im a newbie in this community... i just wanted to ask for anyones help...
I have downgraded my OS for my Lenovo 3000 G410 from Windows Vista Starter to Windows XP... and I have been seeing this conflict in my device manager...
I have inserted a snapshot of the error i have been seeing...
    file:///C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/BMPI-BREAD/My%20Documents/My%20Pictures/Lenovo%203000%20G410_e...
Hope someone can help me from any of the Lenovo Tech Guys out there... Thanks

The problem might have arisen due to the installation of Vista drivers on XP environment, those drivers that came with your laptop are probably designed for Vista. Some of those drivers might work but it would create conflicts with other drivers, which you are expriencing now.
Try the link below to download the appropriate XP drivers for your G410
    http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/MIGR-68891.html
Uninstall first all the existing vista drivers.  Then install the XP drivers in adherence to the sequence(order) of drivers' installation as indicated in the user guide or manual that came with your laptop. Not following the sequence would result in conflicts with some drivers missing in the Device Manager.
    Hope this suggestion helps

Moderator Note; s/n edited for member's own protection

Wow, thank you, what an awesome little tool!
So, I found that these 2 RAM products are compatible with my laptop:
    Part Number: CT758799
    Module Size: 2GB
    Package: 200-pin SODIMM
    Feature: DDR2 PC2-6400
    Specs: DDR2 PC2-6400 • CL=6 • Unbuffered • NON-ECC • DDR2-800 • 1.8V • 256Meg x 64 •
    Part Number: CT699699
    Module Size: 2GB
    Package: 200-pin SODIMM
    Feature: DDR2 PC2-5300
    Specs: DDR2 PC2-5300 • CL=5 • Unbuffered • NON-ECC • DDR2-667 • 1.8V • 256Meg x 64 •
I then went to a well-known auction site and found RAM cards from the same manufacturer with exactly the same specs as above but with different Part numbers. Does it have to be the exact part number or do I stand a good chance of it working if it has the required spec? I searched for the exact part numbers and yielded 0 results.
Thanks for all your help on this.

  • Three week old 3000 N200 notebook appears to be dead - will not boot up

    Hi,
I bought the Lenovo 3000 N200 notebook about 3 weeks ago and have used it a few times. I was using it today on battery, when the screen went blank and it switched off (I presume the battery went flat, but I didn't see any warning). I went to plug it in, and it appeared to start up for a few seconds, I heard the fan, but then it went dead. I thought the Z symbol I could see on it meant it was sleeping, but I see now it just means power on. I cannot get the system to boot up by pressing the on/off button, function/sleep button, mouse or enter key. Nothing is responding. I have left it a few hours in case things had overheated but still nothing. Luckily, I hadn't yet thrown out my old computer so can send this message. Is there something I am not doing correctly, or is my first new computer in many years (my last couple have been second hand and have lasted for years) dead after 3 weeks?
    Any help appreciated.
    Thanks
    gillian13au

Hi just found this in Access help which is on your laptop
Problem: The battery pack cannot be fully charged by the power-off method in the standard charge time for your computer.
Solution: The battery pack might be over-discharged. Do the following:
    Turn off the computer.
Make sure that the over-discharged battery pack is in the computer.
Connect the ac adapter to the computer and let it charge.
If the battery pack cannot be fully charged in 24 hours, use a new battery pack.
Problem: Your computer shuts down before the battery status indicator shows empty, -or- Your computer operates after the battery status indicator shows empty.
Solution: Discharge and recharge the battery pack.
Problem: The operating time for a fully charged battery pack is short.
Solution: Discharge and recharge the battery pack. If your battery's operating time is still short, use a new battery pack.
Problem: The computer does not operate with a fully charged battery pack.
Solution: The surge protector in the battery pack might be active. Turn off the computer for one minute to reset the protector; then turn on the computer again.
Problem: The battery pack cannot be charged.
Solution: You cannot charge the battery when it is too hot. If the battery feels hot, remove it from the computer and allow it to cool to room temperature. After it cools, reinstall it and recharge the battery. If it still cannot be charged, have it serviced.
    Hope this helps
