Lenovo a7000-a Data connection disabled automatically & issue on social networking

I hv Lenovo A7000-a with latest firmware upgrade but I can't connect data in 2g Vodafone India(Bhubaneswar). I can't use WhatsApp,fb,twitter and other applications in 2g network.I can't sent messages even don't receive messages in WhatsApp, fb,twitter & some other apps like taht..sometime data connection disabled automatically. I can't connect with other phone hotspot using wlan but some of phone can connect me with my hotspot.... This problem persists in my phone in xender,share it and wlan sharing with my friends... Why this happened that I don't know but I know that from which time I last est update the new system version I am facing this problem.

E71 hanging Data connection after automatic email ...

Hello all,
My E71 seems to suffer from hanging Data Packet Connection after automatic email retreival.
So I configured my email IMAP4 retreival and set it to automatic retreival every 15 minutes.
Then after a few hours I check my phone and there is a data connection open and active. If I check the connections it is open for a few hours, sucking my battery.
What should I do to make it automatically disconnect after email retreival?
PS: I configured my packet data settings with "Data Packet connection only when needed"

I found the only solution is to set the frequency of update to more than 30 minutes. This really is a problem since the next interval is 2 hours, not 1 hour like in other nokia devices. I don't believe that my nokia N series had this problem, either.
This is a SIGNIFICANT issue that needs to be fixed by nokia considering they want the e71 to be messaging/email device. It is very annoying to have to be prompted to close the data packet connection to do anything; i.e. make calls, use google maps, etc. Checking e-mails only once every 2 hours is obviously not a solution either.

My laptop wifi connection disables automatically and red cross comes up

I just bought a new toshiba laptop L850-B211 with win 7 home premium 64 bit and i have noticed that my wifi disables automatically in between and i see a red cross come up on the tower icon....when i click on the tower cross it automatically connects....and
works fine again. But why is it disabling the wifi adapter automatically. this happens in every 30 or 40 mins even when i am surfing the net. Is this a hardware problem or some setting in windows 7 or toshiba power management utility which is causing this
problem. Also to mention i always use my laptop with power cord connected. The model no of wifi adapter is ATHEROS AR9485WB-EG.

Hi,
When trying to connect the Wireless network, please check the “Start the connection automatically” option. Then, when you trying to connect certain Wireless network next time, it should connect
to the Wireless network automatically.
In addition, update the wireless adapter driver to see how it works.

Lenovo a7000 Messaging app lagging and slowness issue

Hi friends , i do have Lenovo a7000 . since the 1st update i am facing a severe problem of messaging apps lagging and taking too much time to open the messaging app . I found out the Issue of this problem that since they introduced star marke near the name of the thread this problem started and since then this problem persists . so if any one if still facing this issue please do tell me . and lenovo JAMEZ Please provide a solution to this issue as it takes to much time to open banking secure sms which gives us very less time to enter authentication code. Lenovo team please remove that Star near messaging thread nad please help us out as now a days all the banks do send authentication codes with a limited time to enter it. so James and lenovo team please resolve the isse ASAP . and I request other users who have same problem to post here so that we can know how many people are affected.

How do I use the address book feature which allows you to connect your contacts to their social networking profiles? (in Lion)

When I look up the 250+ new features of Mac OSX Lion, under address book, there's a new feature that interests me.
"Address Book lets you quickly access the social network profiles for your contacts, including Facebook. Press and hold an email address to select the appropriate profile."
Somehow I can't get it to work. What do I do?

Make sure it's on the Template (see the entry for Twitter):
Then update the contact with the relevant info.
For Twitter you can then click and hold the Twitter tag to either View Profile or Send Tweet.

My Lenovo S820 data connection turn on automacticaly. What to do?

Hi. Bought my S820 yesterday and noticed that my Data Connection will automatically turn on by itself. I have turned off the data connection button but after sometimes, the Data Connection automatically turned on again by itself. It happpend several times throught out the day already.
Can someone help me..what should I do? Thanks

Data connectivity failure?

Its been at minimum two months since i last had a reliable data connection. My troubles began after the last software update was pushed, my data connection sporadically shuts on and off (drives me crazy). After several attempts to fix the issue with IT support, without any success, i was finally informed today that the last Android update has impacted all Droid phones data connectivity. The issue has been identified by Google and Verizon is also aware, however, there is no ETA on a new update from Google that will address the issue. I don't know how many of you out there are impacted, but does it seem fair to you to continue to pay for a data plan that is not functioning correctly? I think NOT! The same question was made to the Tech Rep i spoke to today. I'm still waiting for a call back with an answer to the question. If you are having the same issue, raise the question and demand a credit!

Good luck. I can't wait for my contract to be over and leave this horrid company forever.

Switching off packet data connection

The Internet Destination contains 2 access points, my wifi and my network data connection. If I move my network data connection to a different Destination (e.g. Roaming) will that be enough to disable packet data while abroad so I don't get any nasty suprises when I see my next bill?
Is there anyway any application will still have access to Packet Data?

Do you have an active blackberry data plan on your account rather than a standard carrier data plan? You will need one of these in order to use these features.
If you bought the phone brand new from your carrier and they are saying the pin is blocked then I would ask them to change it.
If you bought your phone elsewhere and the pin is showing blocked then I would take it back to the shop where you bought it to get it exchanged.

Facing issue while trying to disable automatic discovery of devices through Apple Bonjour

I am facing issue while trying to disable automatic discovery of devices through Apple Bonjour.
Background: Whenever our application is in running state, devices are automatically discovered if it connects to PC. We are using Apple Bonjour's auto discovery technology( mdnsresponder ).
We are registering a particular service type by using DNS API "DNSServiceRegister". Service type is getting registered properly and we are able to discovered that particular type of device.
Platform: Windows 7.0 / MAC 10.8
Issue:
But we are facing issue while trying to disable auto discovery of a device programmatically. i.e, unregistered a service reference programmatically from our windows application.
To unregistered a service we are using "DNSServiceRefDeallocate" DNS API. But looks like it is not working properly.
Is this DNS API “DNSServiceRefDeallocate” is correct one to unregistered the service?
Here is the step by step procedure that we are following to de-allocate a service reference:
1.Browsing / Query a service by using service type to get service reference (DNSServiceRef).
2.Get reference socket FD by using DNS API "DNSServiceRefSockFD".
3.Select a socket by using "select" API.
4.Close the socket that we got from step 2 by closesocket().
5.Delete the service reference by using DNS API "DNSServiceRefDeallocate" and service reference from step 1.
Are we missing any step to unregistered a service?

Original problem I noticed was that regular websites I go to (such as msn) were only partially downloading. I could see the text on the site but no pictures or videos. All web surfing was extremely slow. When I would go to a site such as man I would see another address in the lower left corner for "ads1.msads.net" or "cdn.optimizely.com" that is was trying to connect to. I tried using all three of my browsers (firefox, safari, chrome) and got the same response on all browsers. After I spent some time researching the issue I decided I probably had a adware/malware problem so I decided to try adwaremedic.com. I could also not access that site along with thesafemac.com or apple.com. I was also getting the same response on my other devices (iPhone, iPad, and a mac air). I could not access any of these sites on any of my devices although I could get to almost any other site although it was very slow. At that point I decided to unplug the router. I also did a number of other things before then to try and manually get rid of any adware. Eventually I got msn back working, apple.com, and the speed was much faster. But, I still can not access adwaremedic and thesafemac.com. I could access these on my phone with 3G but not on my wifi. This is where the problem still stands. I am sure I still have some adware on my computer and need to find a way to remove it. I am no techie so the complicated manual fixes are difficult for me to do.

Iphone data connectivity issue

Me and my wife are having problems with our iphones data connectivty with 3g (for the iphone 4s) and 3g&LTE (for the iphone 5). Although the cellular signal is frequently 4 or five bars, most often than not, we cannot browse or use any app because the data connection seems hanged. We always resort to either enabling/disabling the airplane mode, turning the cellular data off and on OR turning off and on the device and the browsing will be normal again and our apps able to access the internet. This experience is becoming a disappointment and we hope you could help us. Im sure we are not an isolated case as most of my friends complain similar experience. Thanks in advance.

Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network settings.
If the issue continues, basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.
It may also be necessary to contact the carrier to troubleshoot the issue.

Disabling data connection to 3G and GPRS

Hi,
I am using a Palm Treo Pro, and it automatically connects to 3G or GPRS when I try and open google map or internet explorer. I have tried switching data connection off in the comm manager, but it will connect to them automatically when I runs the applications. Is there anyway I am disble my phone from using 3G or GPRS unless I choose to?

opening internet explorer and accessing google maps requires data connection that's why it will always look for your network connection service such as 3G and GPRS.
however, if you want to disable them what you can use instead is wifi connections.
try to do the following:
Go to Start>Settings>Comm Manager
1. Turn on Airplane mode (it will disable automatically all other connections including your data connection which is grayed out)
2. Turn on Wi-Fi mode (it will automatically turn off airplane while retaining off state of the other connections. you will notice that data connection still stays grayed out)
3. Press Exit
4. Then tap ok
If you are near to your router or a hotspot, you will notice in the agenda view that your phone state is off but our wifi is on and connected to your wifi router.
you can still open and browse the web and connect to google maps.

Periodic automatic data connection (unwanted)

This sneaky little 5800 initiates a data connection automatically from time to time and upon startup. I cannot tell which program is communicating let alone whom with. It causes around 10KB of traffic on EDGE (I use the phone in GSM mode), and I can only see two running applications: Menu and Home.
I tried setting the GSM data profile to "Ask first" under Settings Connectivity Destinations, but it doesn't help.
I disabled AGPS.
I disabled Automatic checking for Application Updates.
What else can I try? Is there an diagnostic application that can tell me what programs are running? I mean a real list of running processes, not the shiny app selection bar.

You have a 5800. Did yo uinstall FreeTimeBox to make sure the clock stays in sync? That can be set to connect at startup to do just that.
Other common culprits are automatic e-mail retrieval and share online, neither of which show in the list of open applications.
