After update, lenovo hard reset language showing in chinise language, so its very difficult to choose write option. So, please set English as a default language.

Hi, It seems you wish to acess recovery mode for A7000 You have to press both Volume - and + keys and Power button.  this will take you to recovery mode of A7000 hope this helps Ajay

    Update: I was able to start the laptop with just AC power, and then again with AC and battery, but when I tried to start with just the battery, it turned right off. Not sure what's going on here. Would really appreciate some help, thanks!

    The Lenovo S898t+ is meant to be sold and used only in China(China only model) meaning it officially runs on a Chinese firmware...To cover a wider international market some sellers modify the original official firmware adding Google services and multilingual support.

    A factory/hard reset won't help you.Factory reset dosen't mean reverting to the previous firmware build....It only resets the phone to let's say the ''default settings''.
    For GAPPS install THIS on your phone(First download the .apk to your PC and then transfer it to the phone's internal memory) ->allow unknown sources in settings/security and follow the in-app instructions.

    I have already mentioned this in other discussion thread but was never got noticed by lenovo staff. So once again for your kind infirmation I am explaining about this issue. After the s142 update any new contact added under the Google account is not getting synced to google servers though in setting-> accounts-> google accounts its always showing synced recently but changes don't get updated on the server. This is another serious issue in s142 update. Pls don't let it unnoticed. My humble request to lenovo staff is to kindly look into this matter . At least acknowledge this issue. I don't know how else I can bring this issue to your notice. People will loose each and every contacts added after this update.
    PS: Issue exist even after factory reset.

  • IdeaPad S6000L bootloop problem. Hard reset?

    Hello, my IdeaPad S6000L is stuck in a "bootloop" So it always restarts constantly.
    Can a Hard Reset help to resolve this issue? I don't care about the data, I just want the tablet to function properly again.
    Anyone can help? How can I hard reset the tablet and how can I resolve the bootloop?

  • Miix 2 10 freezing - hard reset not working

    Hello! For the second time in a few days my miix 2 10 decided not to wake up again. The windows button makes it vibrate. But no reactions beside that. Last time the error disappeared after some time, I dont' know why. Would not be a big deal to me beside this fact: Right now I am not able to perform a hard reset. What are the options to do a hard reset? Is it pressing the power button for more than 10 seconds? Does not work. Pressing both volume and power button? Does not work. What to do? Any help is greatly appreciated! Kind regards,Jan

    Got my Miix 2 10" on Monday 15. Performed a lot of Windows uptates, unistalled Mc Affee and connected a Bluetooth mouse. Then the tablet lost contact with the keyboard and track-pad. Tried to restore Windows, but got a message telling me no recovery partition was found. Then the screen went black. The tablet did not recognise the power switch, and it was impossible to reset or switch it off. Pressed the button for more than one minute. Funny thing is the mouse pointer from the bluetooth mouse moved around, but nothing else was visible. I could see in my router that the tablet was connected to my Wi-Fi, so it was not completely dead. Left it over-night and tested it in the morning, but still not able to wake it up or shut it down. Back from work in the evening it had obviously drained the batteries, and wake up normally when connected to the charger.  When the batteries was fully charged I switched it off (not sleep). It was not possible to switch it on again without using the charger. I have not been able to replicate this, but it is not a good feeling to have a mobile unit that can lock itself up completely, or not wake up without external power.... Windows log files indicates that it shut down because of power loss about 15 hours after the initial freeze.The bluetooth mouse was installed with standard Windows driver. Tablet is European / Nordic version manufactured 12. jan 2014. Bios is 95CN12WW, 25.12.2013. I do really hope Lenovo manage to sort of the trouble with this tablet. Its quite nice, and I like it except the scary feeling of being stuck with a brick.

    I have a lenovo A7000 phone , last week I was facing an WiFi connection issues and now after update it get fixed,but in the mean time I reset my phone with Data factory restore ! and now my phone rear camera is getting wrost ! even it says 8 mp camera but its capturing a shoot like Vga camera ..how bad to look my pictures now ,before it works good ..how come !

    Try a different USB cable, try a different USB port and if that fails reboot the computer.  Also try
    Resetting the phone
    Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the home button together until the apple logo appears (ignore the ON/OFF slider) then let both buttons go and wait for device to restart (no data will be lost).

  • Back from Hard reset menu

    Hi, 
    I am shinoj from India. Yesterday  I have bought one A1000 Tablet with android in it. Some how my baby have been directed to the Hard reset Menu. And she pressed here and there. when I got the device was showing Speaker testing and earphone testing.
    Then I have pressed VOL and Power button again to got from those menu. But I am not getting normal boot up
    Please advise how to save this. It is only a day we have used after purchase.
    Now the situation when I am plugged the charger it is showing the Battery charger icon.
    When I am pressing power button, I can feel the vibration but nothing appears on the screen.
    Please advise If someone knows the case

  • 9630 Keyboard/Buttons not working; hard resets and multiple reloads of OS did not correct

    My BlackBerry 9630 Tour is a little more than a year old. Yesterday the keyboard, trackball, and all buttons stopped working while I was typing out an email. I could not power off the Blackberry without removing the battery for a hard reset. Unfortunately, even after many hard resets, the problem persisted, so I went to the forums for help and tried everything that seemed relevant (multiple times) with no success.
    After reviewing a number of tech support posts, this problem does not appear to be unique to any given model of BB and contact with liquids is cited as a common but not the only cause for this condition.
    I was outside on a very hot and humid day when the malfunction occurred so it is possible some perspiration may have come into contact with the keypad, convenience buttons, or trackball and caused the lockup.
    I'm looking for someone with more smarts than me to help me troubleshoot, identify the actual problem, and identify the proper corrective actions. See below for a synopsis of my actions taken, with the exception of taking it to the shop for repair/replacement.
    The corrective actions listed on the forums and blogs are varied but essentially fall into two primary solutions:
    1. If moisture is suspected to be the issue, let the BB dry out overnight
        a. Pull the battery, naturally air dry or use a blow dryer, let it sit unplugged with no battery for at least 12 hours 
        b. If this doesn't immediately work, try a clean install of the OS (see below)
        c. If this doesn't work, take to the shop and they'll either replace the keyboard and/or trackball or replace entire unit
    2. If moisture is not suspected to be a factor then perform a backup followed by a clean install of OS
         a. Backup your files using Desktop Manager Backup and Restore
         b. Do a clean reinstall OS using Desktop Manager Application Loader
             i. The OS installation process is dicey  and takes a little patience and focus-- you have to wait for the Desktop Manager to properly recognize the device before it can proceed on some of the steps and it may take several iterations to get completely through the process and get the "successful installation" message.
             ii. Further, you may need to keep the battery removed during the initial steps in the process and only insert it when the process gets to the point of actually trying to copy files into the BB memory
                * The BB LCD will display an icon that looks like a battery with a slash through it letting you know the process cannot proceed until a battery is inserted and the Desktop Manager Application Loader will also give you an error indicating it cannot find the device.
                * After inserting the battery, it will take a few seconds or more for the computer to recognize the USB device and for Desktop Manager to respond with the BB password pop-up window.
                * After typing in your BB password, the installation should continue.
        c. If you can get the OS successfully reloaded and your keyboard/trackball/buttons work -- great -- now restore your files and settings using Desktop Manager Backup and Restore and get on with your life.
        d. If this does NOT work after multiple successful clean OS installations apparently you are completely hosed; the only other option is to get it to the shop for repair or replacement.
    1.. Does anyone have a troubleshooting procedures that will identify whether moisture is the root cause or not?
    2. Is there another corrective procedure that's been missed?

    Took  BB to Sprint Store and technician took it apart, saw no evidence of moisture or any other damage, and concluded that the keyboard had failed. Not an uncommon occurance.
    Also, he told me you cannot simply replace the keyboard, it is integral to the systemboard, so you need to replace the entire device.
    He did commend the troubleshooting approach used prior to going to the store -- most folks won't take the time to do even basic troubleshooting (like taking out the battery), they just go to the store and say "fix it please". He confirmed that the steps outlined in the initial post were correct and did not have any other solutions.
    Take away:
    If you want to do some troubleshooting yourself to check for moisture, the process was pretty straightforward. After watching the technician, most folks with a little technical or mechanical aptitude should be able to manage the dismantling process. You just need a small phillips head screwdriver and a little patience. Good lighting and a magnifying glass or reading glasses also help!

  • T2 Digitizer frozen after soft,warm,hard resets.Can not get it to calibrate at all.

    My T2 occasionally has to be recalibrated. I downloaed DigiFix some months ago and it seemed to help a bit. I hot synced my data last night and all was well. This morning I could not tap my screen to access anything. I tried cleaning carefully around the screen edge, gently cleaned the screen ( no visible damage to the screen noted ), performed a soft reset ( which usually worked ), a warm reset, followed by a soft reset and finally a hard reset ( kept data ) followed by a soft reset and then the big one, a hard reset with loss of data followed with 5 soft resets in a row. I found through the forum a T2 update which I downloaded and is ready to be installed when I next hot sync.
    The unit is now frozen with the x in the starting position in the top left corner. Despite my efforts to gently tap all around the X, I can not get it to recalibrate or even get off the calibration screen. If I could just get back to any regular screen, I could get my data back and install this T2 update.
    I also downloaded Pocket DVD studio a week ago and have been able to upload .avi files for viewing videos on my Palm. I works beautifully. I think I still have the original Kimoma player on my T2, but never really like it. Can anyone PLEASE help me out? This T2 update is supposed to help according to the infor I found in forum....MANY THANKS!

    Thank you for the fina advice. It worked and my T2 is now working perfectly. I think the real trick is using cheap copier paper, not the higher grade stuff or a business card for the cleaning routine. I floded the paper lengthwiase and put a sharp crease in before cutting into little work strips. It took a lot of patience and time to perform a proper cleaning, but it was worth it. Seems that the smallest bit of anything which get trapped under the bezel will throw the T2 into a stupor. Many thanks your your fine advice.....Rgds,John Brown

    hello, i have the same problem with my mbp. and you should first shut off your MB. then when is complete off plug in your charger and hold shift+option+command+power and within 10 second you will see the front led flash 10 times more or less and your MB will restart and it should work normal
