Lenovo AC/DC combo adapter fuse

I am looking for a supplier of the fuses inside the cigarette lighter plug.  Any ideas?

These are pretty standard, go to your nearest hardware store and they will have it. Bring the broken fuse along, so they can match the correct one.

  • Spare tips for Lenovo 90W AC/DC Combo Adapter

Just got the Combo Adapter, and wanted to order a spare tip to charge my Motorola cell phone with it. Dumb question - will the spare tip plug into the power cord of the adapter, or do you have to use the dual-charge cable for the tip to work? I rarely charge two items at once, and would prefer to not travel with an extra cord.

yes it works with the T510.

  • Voltage converters/AC/DC Combo Adapter

    Hi folks,
I need a converter/AC/DC adapter for my X61 to convert from 110 to 220 volts.
What came with my laptop was an AC adapter that says 65W 20V
Will that work in Grenada (Caribbean) and South America?
Also, would the 90 W slim AC/DC Combo adapter with a Blackberry tip from Lenovo work in a 220V country?
If neither one will work, can you tell me what I need to purchase?
I don't know anything about this conversion stuff so all help will be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you in advance,
    Belize Me

If this is a Lenovo X61 power adapter it should say "INPUT: 100-240V~" in the small print under where it says "65W 20V" i.e. you do not need a CONVERTER, but you will need a plug ADAPTER, since the power plugs are different shapes.
Here is a nice Wiki with a map showing what you need in each country.

  • AC/DC Combo adapter failure/short

I bought the thin AC/DC combo adapter with my ThinkPad, and at first it seemed to work, but it quickly became clear that it had a short that would cause it to intermittently fail. I've isolated it to the point the cable exits the brick.
I first noticed the problem about 8 months ago, but sat on it too long and inadvertantly let the one-year anniversary of my laptop purchase expire. The product was barely used, and it has failed to work as advertised, so I would hope Lenovo will offer to replace it, even if the warranty period has technically expired.
But I can't figure out how (other than through the forums) to contact someone at Lenovo to find out whether you will honor this.
    Help?

As far as I've seen, you can't. The product is no longer in warrenty, and unless they modify the warentee (as they've sometimes done on faulty batteries) or issue a recall, there's not really much you can probably do. I've had nothing but problems with mine, and it is doing the same as yours just after the warentee period is up (I fried two of the DC plugs in the warentee period.) You're not the only one in the situation, but you probably will be stuck there until you buy a new one.

    Thanks!

Are there any limitations for disk to be used with mentioned adapter ? e.g. Can I have 320 GB disk in this adatper ? I am asking because internaly I cannot have bigger disk then 80 GB (120 GB was not working)
    Thanks
    Jan

You must have been doing something wrong with that 120GB drive, because there's no reason for it not to work. These machines take 160GB with no problems...been there, done that.
    Hope this helps.

  • My Lenovo says that power adapter is not supported on brand new laptop

Hi, I bought new Lenovo laptop two weeks ago (Lenovo Y50-70) and everything worked fine up until this morning. When i turned it on baterry icon showed that laptop was not pluged in, so i checked if everything is connected properly. Next thing a pop-up appeared saying ''Adapter is not supported''. I am sending you a screenshot. I searched the problem on internet but were not able to find anything that relates to my problem. Also i tryed calling technical support but they were not able to respond to my problem. I am reminding that this is a brand new laptop with guarantee list and everything. Please help i will be awaiting for your responseThank you

Same here. I just got off a phone for my G50-70 laptop( bought from Newegg.com . It is a new laptop with warranty.
I am getting frustrated as they have sent the replacement charger twice and it did not solve the problem. After that, they got on a session remotely to connect on my laptop. One hour and they still could not fix it.
They said that they will send the laptop to their technicians but they did not say anything about what if they could not solve this problem.
A 600 USd dollar laptop and they cannot even get this fixed. I have ths problem for the last 6 months on this laptop.
    Any luck anyone?

  • Lenovo DisplayPort to DVI adapter--is it active or passive??

part number 43N9159  is it a passive or active adapter??
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Lenovo doesn't sell Active Displayport to DVI-D adapter. So the answer to your question is it is passive.
If you need to get active one (Single link or Dual Link DVI-D) then you would need to find it from third party retailers or OEM. Try ebay.

  • Lenovo ThinkPad 170W AC Adapter = $24

I just found the cheapest price on the planet.  They are $115 new.  This is a refurb via Newegg.  Designed for the W520/W530 but compatible with all T/W 4/5X0 machines.  Sure it's not the easiest to lug if you need svelte portability but it's the 170-watter and perfect for a second and dedicated PSU at your work or home location.  Especially if you rock a dock.  Don't delay, @ 80% off they won't last long since the Enterprise is sure to find and stock up.  Just like me!
    W530 | 3840QM | 32g @ 1.35v CL9 1986z | 512g 840 Pro | 1t HGST 7200 | FHD AUO v.4 | Quadro K2k | GOBI 5k | Centrino 6300

This is a good deal, but it's really just for W520 and W530 like the website says.
It won't fit in the socket on T520/T530, and W540 uses the newer-style rectangular connector.
I just don't want anyone to be confused on what this AC adapter can be used for.

  • "Universal Laptop DC car charger power adapter" for Lenovo g530

Hey there,  I'm a complete tech numskull, so pardon me if this is incredibly naive.  I recently made an impulse buy of an off-brand "Universal Laptop DC car charger power adapter" with the hopes of using it in a car with my Lenovo G530.  I haven't gotten it yet but after purchasing it, I noticed the power adapter that came with my Lenovo  is "AC."  Is it possible to us the DC adapter with my laptop, where my cord says "AC"?  I obviously don't want to fry my laptop and was wondering what I should look out for.  The adapter was pretty cheap, which is another red flag but it also means I won't be out much if I made a mistake in buying it (ebay purchase).
Thanks in advance for your input.

It seems the spare is the new specs. Check these 2 spares. They are the same 4.74amp. http://www.amazon.com/Lenovo-3000-G530-444638U-Adapter/dp/B002Z209G6/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=electronic... http://www.amazon.com/COMPUTER-Power-Adapter-Cord-LENOVO/dp/B002MY2MLM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electron...

  • Ridiculos situation with AC/D slim adapter

    Hi,
I have Slim AC/DC adapter Combo with DC/DC adapter. Unfortunately, I cant use DC/DC because I lost the tip of cigerette adapter. Somehow it is srew out. Now I need: spring, fuse, metal ring, metal screw and metal tip. I ask Lenovo service in my country (Lithuania), but they answer, that there is no way to get these spare parts. They sugest to cut the end of cigarette connector and solder my own, which I can buy in electronic parts shop. Or, just buy new SLIM AC/DC Combo adapter.
I don't understand, why I should do that? This cigarette connectro disconecting from DC/DC adapter very easy and I just can't understand why Lenovo  do not selling thise part?
Can you help me to solve my problem?
    Regards,
    E.K.

    lenovotk,
I would advise any customer who experiences a Lenovo product malfunctioning, overheating , smoking, melting, etc to contact support immediately rather than modifying it themselves.  Support can then notify the appropriate technical, quality, and safety teams to investigate the returned product.
In the OP's case, parts were lost.   I think it is fine for peer members to suggest cutting the end of the plug off and soldering on another, but I don't believe that we (Lenovo) should offer advice to modify our product this way.  We offer parts for sale at the major component assembly level as lead_org and hausman note, and I would have recommended the adapter be replaced either under warranty, or if out of warranty by having the OP purchase the appropriate service part from Lenovo service.
In your case, it seems that either there is a short in the plug, or the adapter is trying to draw too much power.  I'm not sure that I would conclude the T60p is drawing too much.  I would tend to believe your adapter might have been defective and would have suggested you call service and have it replaced.  Cutting the end off and attaching your own complicates matters somewhat, but I would still suggest you contact service and seek a replacement, especially under warranty.
The 90W adapter adapter should output at 16V and about 5.6 amps.  At 13 v input, if you are blowing 15 amp fuses, that suggests that your wattage draw is about 195, which is double what the normal adapter would be able to feed the system.  I therefore conclude the problem is most likely not with the T60p trying to draw too much power, but rather some short or defect in your adapter.
    Best regards,
    Mark
