Lenovo B575 screen just fades away

New here so here goes.....I own a Lenovo B575, great piece of equipment...BUT on occasion the following happens.
1. I am done doing what I wanted so I go to START/LOG OFF.
2. Now I want to resume some time later so I click on my personal ICON and the unit comes alive and goes to my screen saver - BUT the image starts to fade away to complete DARK.
3. Only way to get back to my screen saver with all my ICONS is to power off the unit and power back on.
Do I have a problem?????

Welcome to the Community.
If you see a dark screen but the LCD backlights are still ON then it's possible that the explorer.exe has crashed.
Can yu try to:
1. Press Ctrl+Shift+Esc to open up the Task Manager
2. On the Task Manager, go to File > New Task (Run...) > type explorer and press Exter (this should restart explorer.exe and give you the desktop)
3. Update your video card driver from the Lenovo website and install all Windows Update then observe.

I would like to put a still frame title into a clip, and instead of having it just be on the screen one second and a few seconds later instantly be gone, I would like to make the title slowly disapear into nothingness? Anyone know how to do that?

Yes, I'm very sorry. I keep forgetting that Encore and PPCS4 are separate programs. Yes, you do indeed create fading titles in PPCS4. I finally figured it out today. All that is necessary is to Put the new title on the timeline. Then place the timeline indicator bar, or whatever that thing is called, at the front of the title box on your timeline. Open up the effects control box, and expand the opacity box. Click the little diamond on the right side, and this will add a keyframe to the beginning of your title. Go to the end of the title box and click the diamond again to add a key frame to that end. Then just grab the keyframe on the right and pull it down. The title will disappear over the length of the time that it is on your screen.

I could be wrong, but isn't this something that one would do in PrPro?
Now, if one wanted a Menu (in Encore) to "fade away," they could create (in PrPro) a Button Transition to do that.

I cant open firefox, everytime i click on it it just fades away!

I have reinstalled it but it still doesn't work. And the little app thing on the pc, when i click it it just fades away. Can you please help!!

We might be able to fix this by performing a ''Clean reinstall''. This means you remove Firefox program files and then reinstall Firefox. Please follow these steps:

Games are not turning on . I click on a he icon but screen slightly fades away and comes back to same spot.

Continuation, when screen fades away it feels as if it wants to start a game but then it just goes back to the original screen . I thought that was a wifi issue but now I am connected to wifi and it still does the same thing.

Is it every game or just some of them? It's entirely possible that hte game isn't compliant with iOS5. And if that's the case it's up to the developer to update their software for the new OS.

HELP!!! Screen Fades away when open or close the s...

Dear All,
I am Orlando, owner of a Nokia c6-00 phone. Recently I updated my phone to v 41.
and after that a strange issue has occoured. My phone screen fades away when i open or close this sider. I tried googling up this issue. But I guess I am the first one having this issue. I have already tried RESET FACTORY SETTINGS, and reinstalling the upgrade. But of no use.
I have no idea whether it is an hardware issue or a software one.
So, Guys please help me with this issue.

Probably no alternative but to backup essential data then "hard reset" by keying in *#7370# followed by 12345 (default Nokia lock code unless altered by user) to exclude any software corruption; although it seems a strange co-incidence there maybe issues with screen flex cable or it's connectors.

Ipad mini screen fades away each time i power it on

My ipad mini first gen keeps turning off but not like a normal unexpected power off instead the screen fades away and to get to turn back on i have to hold powet button and home. i tried a software restore but no luck, i think its a battery problem.

I'm not a hardware expert and I don't think anyone here is either. However, if it was the battery, I think that you would see other signs of battery problems such as inconsistent charging, the device not holding a charge, and things like that. Maybe it's a short, but I would have no way of knowing that either. Why don't you contact iPad repair support and explain it to them.

Lenovo G360 - Screen fades to black

The laptop screen will fade to black while in windows. The laptop is still on but the screen picture is gone. Its not the battery becuase its a new one. The only thing that brings the screen picture back is after I have put the laptop in the refrigerator for 10+mins. What does that mean? Will a cooling pad do the job or is in more internally. Pls Help with some options!

Please check with external monitor as this is to confirm the issue with LCD or with the motherboard.
As you have mentioned the system is heating, check if you are getting any fan error.

How to make a big screen PLAY button for FLV which will fade away after the movie starts?

I wanted to make play button. Kind of this huge one in the middle of the screen as users used to see on YouTube.
Here is the code for it which seems to work:

The problem is it doesn't dissapear once the video plays. How shoudl it be done, the whole video has to go to another frame with no play_btn on it or there is a code which can make it fade away?

The FLVPlayback component can be set to use any number of controls for the video playback. You should use those for playback control once the video has started. Why does my email auto pull-down list keep fading out after one second (I can put my mouse on it and it comes back, so it is there, just again fades away after 1 second)?

When I go to send an email, many of may emails are saved so when I type in the first letter, a list appears in the auto pull down. However, when I go to click on the address I want, it immediately fades out. I will put my cursor on it and I will see the list again, but only for one second, then it fades away again.
So I have to guess which order they are in and click and hope it's the right one, ha!
I like the option, it just isn't working right for some reason.

That would indicate an issue with the local network, not internet. This can impact devices differently and will likely be more obvious on a streaming only device.
If you are on wifi try ethernet
Make sure DNS is set to auto (settings - general - network)
Go to istumbler, netstumbler or similar to get a report of the network, look for signal strength and noise.

How to resolve a Lenovo PC that will not pass the Lenovo Splash screen with no access to Windows

Here is my problem and here is the solution!!!
My B540 Ideacentre would not pass the Lenovo splash screen. The only operational keys I had was F1 (BIOS) and F12 (BIOS options). F2 went to a light blue screen so no chance of even a one key recovery. Warrenty had expired four and a half months ago. I contacted Lenovo and after the guy told me to try F2 twice he said it was a HDD or other hardware failure and would cost around £200 maybe and also would take about two weeks.
AT THIS POINT YOU SHOULD NOT BE ANGRY FRUSTRATED OR PANIC. REMAIN CALM AND STOP AND THINK WHAT ACTUALLY WAS HAPPENING WHEN YOU LAST USED YOUR PC.
For me I remembered Windows had auto downloaded 8.1 and was asking me to install. Also my keyboard had lost shift W T Y keys. This told me that it was not a hardware issue but a software issue and perhaps from this update. My HDD was not clicking or beeping and this PC has a 2TB Seagate Barracuda which has a good reputation. Luckly for me I also have a Seagate external expansion 2TB and a 500MB expansion which was the HDD from my old HP Touchsmart which I converted into an external hard drive by buying a HDD enclosure with cooling fan and all leads from eBay for £25 and this is where the solution is.
If you can create an expansion drive so easily and access the HDD then why cant I do it with the HDD from my Ideacentre and of course you can. So first unplug your PC or laptop. Next remove the cover and unclip the HDD (which is easy with the B540. See user instructions). Next I removed my HP HDD from the enclosure and fitted my Ideacentre HDD in its place. Next you need a laptop or another PC. Switch it on and then connect your HDD to the laptop or PC via highspeed USB cable. My laptop is running Windows 7 Ultimate and of course has all the repair tools required. When the software has loaded you may get a box that will have two options. The first will ask you if you want to repair your files and the second to scan for bad sectors and to attempt repair recovery of sectors. Tick both boxes and click start. This is a long slow process but worth the wait. Nine hours later my HDD was ready. I connected my Seagate expansion to my laptop and moved all new files that I had not backed up. So at this point you should create a folder and move all your photos music videos documents etc to it. This can take upto three hours if you have never backed up before and are moving everything. Once completed I shut everything down and replaced the HDD into my Ideacentre. Make sure do not have any external devices connected such as expansions external drives headphones etc. Connect the power and switch on. The Ideacentre booted up and there was a pause at the splash screen then it went to a black screen and then by the miracle of logical thinking I was at my lock screen. I was never so glad to see the map of my home land "Ukraine". After jumping up and down with joy I then went in and all was as normal but to be sure I went into safemode and started a complete restore. This is the option where you completely format your HDD and restore as new. It takes a long time but it is the best option because you do not want this to happen again. When this has completed and you are in Windows do not wait a moment longer by playing with your photos or creating your desktop picture. Go to create a recovery drive (use a 32GB stick) and after that also make a copy to disc. Next go to command prompt (cmd) Admin and change a setting by typing bcdedit /set {default} bootmenupolicy legacy. This will now enable your F8 key to boot straight into safemode just incase you need to in the future. It will slow boot time a little but better to be able to get in to Windows than not at all for the sake of a few seconds.
Well I hope this helps someone out there and I know you may think its a lot to do but it is not. Ask a friend to borrow a laptop or PC and perhaps a HDD encloser. The rest is just time but when you see your lock screen you will not care trust me.

Steps To Achieve Victory
Download the ISO you want to use
Open Terminal (in /Applications/Utilities)
Convert .iso to .img using hdiutil:
hdiutil convert -format UDRW -o /path/to/target.img /path/to/source.iso
Rename if OS X gave it a .dmg ending:
mv /path/to/target.img.dmg path/to/target.img
Type diskutil to get a list of currently connected devices
Insert USB drive you want to use
Run diskutil again to see what your USB stick gets assigned eg - /dev/disk3
Run diskutil unmountDisk /dev/diskN (where N is the number assigned to your USB stick, in previous example it would be 3)
Run sudo dd if=/path/to/target.img of=/dev/diskN bs=1m (if you get an error, replace bs=1m with bs=1M
Run diskutil eject /dev/diskN and remove your USB stick
The USB stick will now be ready to use

I want my splash screen to fade smoothly from 0%
(invisible) over 50 % (semi-invisible) to 100%
(full).
It means I need a method just like setTransparency(
values from 0 to 100).
D'you know what I mean?The top level Java components (Frame and Window) are always 100% opaque. In order to do what you want you have to use the java.awt.Robot class to grab a snapshot of the background where the splash screen will be displayed and then paint your semi-transparent image over the top of it using a thread and AlphaComposite to tweak the transparency over time. Not 100% accurate but good enough to fool most people. Here's an example showing the concepts.

Lenovo t520 screen going dark

My lenovo t520 just came back from the repair center to get a new motherboard and I have started noticing a weird issue with the screen. Whenever I go on a website that is primarily dark (like the bckground is black), the screen gets quite dark. And then when it goes back to another screen (like where it is priarily white) the screen is alot darker. After a while the screen gets brighter slowly. I checked the brightness controls and they are always on full bightness through this whole thing.
Is there some auto screen brightness efficancy system i do not know of or is my screen just broken?

Reset the NVRAM/PRAM and Reset the SMC, then try again.
