Lenovo Beacon ACL problem

Hi,
i have Lenovo Beacon 2x3TB, ACL had failed, and now i can't change folder permision in web or even in terminal. I tried to restore factory settings, but that did not change anything. I did reset but it did not help. Please for assistance for this problem. Here is folder permision in Private share:

Lenovo Beacon Cloud Storage HDMI MP3, DD and DTS Audio Passthrough

Hello,
Is there any knowledge on whether it's possible to make the Lenovo Beacon pass DD 5.1(and/or DTS) audio through it's HDMI?
I just bought a Beacon and it plays avi files without audio at all, it plays MP4 and MKV with AAC 2ch audio just fine, but when I play a MKV with DD AC3 5.1 audio, it somehow downsamples it to a 2ch signal and I can't see any options anywhere on how to make any changes regarding the audio output.
The whole Audio section in the XBMC settings is completely missing.
The Beacon tech specs say that it supports DD and DD+ formats, but I don't know where it supports them. Yes, I can play files stored on the NAS via DLNA on my smart TV, and those files keep the DD sound, but the DD 5.1 doesn't work in local play mode via HDMI of the Beacon.

I think that we must wait for firmware update from Lenovo for working sound on Beacon device, but when it comes out is mystery.

What is the version of Acrobat you are trying to install?

Are you getting any error message?
Response: I am not allowed to install.
Acrobat can be installed in 64 bits machine.
Response: every attempt in the 64-bit computer I rejected all attempts.

Lenovo S90u "Security problem" and network problems

I recently unistalled the security application (lenovo safecenter?) from my lenovo s90u phone. After this every time i turn on the phone there is an annoying message "Security problem" at the bottom left corner and the android "robot" at the top left corner of the screen, Reset to factory didn't solved the problem as also and a lenovo safecenter apk which i downloaded from a link i found here at the "Lenovo S850 security problem" topic. Also there is a serious problem with network connections as wifi and/or data connection are turning on at spear times without my permission. Every time i turn the phone on data connection in on and although i turn it off it turns on again (or the wifi) at spear times.Can you suggest any solution?

LENOVO Beacon export and edit configuration

Under Control Panel --> Config Mgmt there is the possibility to download or upload a configuration.
this file is a "conf.bin"
How can i open, and edit these file?
But to clarify I'm not sure it is the right file. I want to change some settings in xbmc advancedsettings.xml
Would be great if anyone could help.

Are you trying to experiment with a linux distro? If you are NOT trying to "modify" the operating system on your media player I think you probably want to ask questions in the Lenovo Beacon section of this board.

I seached litle and found out, that Lenovo Beacon is using ThecusOS 6 Firmware for Linux NAS | Soho/Home N2310 probably.
The latest is ThecuOS 6 Firmware v826 and The latest beta is ThecuOS 6 Beta Firmware v842.
Manual when upgrading ThecuOS 6 Firmware, seems like our in web browser, can anyone confirm it?

Lenovo Beacon file transfer too slow

dear all, i'm a newby here and i need your help. I own a Beacon with 2x1TB HDD in RAID 0 mode, so when i move datas to Beacon the max. file trasfer speed is up to 5 mb/s. In my opinion this is tooooo slow. Can anyone help me, or say about your file tranfer speed to Beacon. My configuration: Lenovo Beacon + Netgear 5-port Gigabit Switch (GS305) + Win7 PC. Everything is LAN wired. I already tryed another PC (Notebook) but with the same result. Thank you!

Beacon use HTTP protocal, and we use Filezilla as benchmark comparison (Note, Filezilla use FTP protocal.)
Test config: Router, Netgear WGR614 V9 with Lan speed 100Mbps, Thinkpad Notebook (win7) wire connected to router, Beacon wire connected to router .
Test Result: Single file speed 5MBPS, and three files 10MBPS by Beacon; single file 11.6MBPS, multiple files 11MBPS

Subtitle Support for Lenovo Beacon

I have bought a lenovo beacon NAS device to stream movies to my LG 42LA691S tv. Streaming works ok, but I'm unable to see the subtitles for the movies even though the subtitle name is the same as the movie name.
Is there a way to activate the subtitles from the included twonky media server?

it supports only Fat file system, ...so it will support pendrives bt it will nt support Hard disk.. If you want to make HDD work you have to root it.

answer to 2. if you had the adapter connected to your laptop and a cable from laptop to monitor make sure you press fn + f3 after that will let you enable so laptops screen appears on monitor or tv you connected to if it shows up as black pic

I ve ios app for control lenovo beacon. It has also remote access via lenovo id.
It doesnt work when i try to log in app always fall down.

Lenovo G505 Wifi Problems - Limited Connection, No Connection, and Dropped Connections

Some forum members have reported a variety of Wifi issues with their G505 laptops. Their reports range from showing "Connection is limited", to Wifi connections dropping repeatedly, to being unable to make a Wifi connection at all. I combined multiple threads in order to assist forum members with troubleshooting solutions.
If your G505 was upgraded to Windows 8.0 or 8.1 and then lost connectivity, or you recently purchased a G505 running Windows 8.0 or 8.1 and are unable to connect, try following the instructions posted by Vikramsbox to restore the connection through the Lenovo Communications Utility.
For non-Windows 8.0 or 8.1 users, start troubleshooting with the basics:
The most recent WLAN, BIOS, and Power Management drivers from Lenovo can be downloaded here: http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/lenovo-g-series-laptops/lenovo-g505-no...
It is also good practice to verify your Wifi is activated by following the instructions from Neokenchi.
Check Power Management settings to ensure your laptop isn't turning off the Wifi as noted by Dannyk1.
Check to see that Airplane Mode is set to OFF by following the instructions provided by Shiv_K.
After trying those steps, if you still experience a Wifi issue with your G505, other troubleshooting steps have been noted in this thread. This includes a whitelist of accepted replacement WLAN cards posted by Topmahof and a 3rd party driver which resolved wifi issues for Miila and Jessemck125. Please note that while Lenovo does not support 3rd part drivers, it may be an option to consider if your laptop is out of warranty and none of the suggestions in the thread resolve the issue.

First is to update your Atheros/Broadcom driver for your G505 here:http://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mobiles/wlan117w8.exe
From what I understand, the situation is that you get limited connectivity while your other devices that are connected to the router gets uninterrupted internet access.
After updating your drivers, you can try to flush your DNS cache by copy and pasting this code to your notepad and saving it as FlushDNS.bat

Lenovo usb webcam problem

I have a Lenovo usb webcam. I believe all was fine out of the box until I started also using Logitech usb headset. Now not working with or without headset. No idea why headset would matter, but that's the only relevant event I can think of.

Lenovo 3000 n200 problem with usb tv-stick

hi guys,
i have a problem with my lenovo 3000 and the hvr-900 usb tv-stick from hauppauge. driver installation and software installation from wintv is no problem. finding the channels ist also no problem. sound is good but i have no pictures... the display ist black.
my grafik chip is the intel GMA X3100 onboard. i thought it was a problem with the overlay function. the wintv software shows me "surface vmr" on my old desktop with the old wintv pci card it shows me "surface overlay".
internet tv (tvu, tv ants...) works without any difficulties. but i can`t find a function to activate "overlay".
has anyone an idea? thanks for helping.

i try an older usb machine from hauppauge which supports analog only (the new stick supports analog/digital) and... it works... the wintv software shows me "surface overlay"... crazy...
now i use this until i find a solution for the stick ;-)

Lenovo 3000 N200 Problem getting my computer to turn on.

The computer will not turn on. I can plug in the adapter and the light on the adapter is green and then the light on my computer power is green as well when I push the button to turn the computer on, but the computer does not turn on. The computer is about 2 and half years old. I was told it could be the power supply which I could replace for relatively cheap, or it could be the motherboard, in which case I would want to get a new computer. Since the computer is only 2 and 1/2 years old, I would prefer to fix it rather than buy a new one. Please advise!!

try taking off the battery, ac adapter and ram module and press the power on button for 10 times, with the last press 30 secs. Now replug in everything and hope for the best. I doubt it is the power adapter that is causing the problem.

ASA ACL Problems

I have several new ASA-5520 boxes. All are configured with version 7.06 (Cisco recomendation) and in active/standby configuration.
The problem is that the ACLs seem to disapear. For example; I have an outside access list that have about 20 lines. Every once in a while the ACL will start blocking traffic that is permitted by the ACL. When I do a 'sh access-list outside' it says that there are only two elements. They are there when I look at the running config. If I wait a while they start to work again and show up as 'active elements' again. I can force a failover and failback to fix it or restart the firewall. I will open a TAC case on Monday. I was hoping that maybe someone has seen this and has a quick solution.
