Lenovo flex 2 can't connect to samsung LCD tv by HMDI

I got a problem te connect my Lenovo flex 2 to my Samsung T200HD tv. wen i connect it says no signal... and yes i know i need to activate it from my computer. the thing is t doesnt find it. it says connect to screen by VGA... I dont have a VG poort, and i have no option to change it HDMI. The support desk of samsung say it my laptop software.... The thing is.. when i connected my laptop with the same HMDI cable to a other Samsung tv it works instantly. I have tryed all kinds of things and lloked on forums.. nothing worked... not updating the drivers... not reinstalling them.. i think its the combination between the useless Intel HD software and the Geforce software...  Does anyone has the same problem and a fix!

Update:
I can connect through the IE Tabs extension on Chrome. In other words, when Chrome simulates an Internet Explorer browser tab, I'm able to connect. I'd still like to find a fix for this problem since I can't configure Outlook. Can anyone help me out?

  • Can't connect MBP to LCD projector using DVI-TO-VGA adapter

I am trying to connect my MacBookPro to a Hitachi CP-X885 projector, which I normally connect an IBM Thinkpad to at 800x600 or 1024x768. I also use my MBP and the VGA adapter to connect to other LCD projectors and monitors (so my adapter works, as well as both systems, projector, cables, etc.). Problem is, that when I connect my MBP to the projector (I have to connect it via VGA as there is a 250 foot cable that goes to the front where the rear-projection takes place). When I do the "detect displays" nothing is detected. I also connected directly to the projector using a shorter cable, same thing (doesn't detect it). So, is the projector not supplying some type of signal to the output, that the MBP wants to see?)... is there a way to FORCE the MPB to have output? I know that if there is signal, it will display (we have LOTS of notebooks that display to the projector just fine, BUT have SEVERAL MBP's, and NONE of them will detect, and we've tried several adapters (just to be sure)... HELP!... is there some way to FORCE output from the MBP instead of it having to DETECT IT???
    Thanks!

Sorry Walter, but according to the Terms of Use (which you agreed to the first time you logged in to the Discussions and can be found if you click on the "Help" link to the right):
Do not post a URL unless it directly answers a user's question.
The URL you post does not answer David's original question. Also, it could potentially void his warranty because a firmware hack (and this is indeed a link to a "hack") is an unauthorized alteration to the hardware of his computer. ("Software" can only be installed on the hard drive and that hack is not installed on the hard drive, it's installed on the firmware on a chip inside the logic board.)
I don't want to take this thread off-topic, but your reply does NOT help David's situation. I would, however, value your input and anyone else's to this and any other topic in the Discussions as long as it is pertinent to the original subject.

  • '09 mac mini connection to Samsung LCD

I just purchased the new mac mini and am trying to hook it up to my 42" Samsung LCD using the mini display port and a VGA cable. The TV is not recognizing the hookup (PC is not an option in my list of sources). If anyone has any ideas or suggestions on things to try I'd appreciate it! I purchased my TV a little less than three years ago. It's an HD set - model LN-S4092D - in case that helps! Thanks!

    tbrodi,
I do have the same stuff. only a newer version of the Samsung and an older mini.
I use a DVIHDMI cable, connect the cable into port 2 on the tv and the audio jack from the mini straight to the input on the tv, the audio out from the tv is going to the recever/amplifier.
At least, that works for me all in full HD

  • How can we connect our Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and 3 phones to our Mac?

We are unable to connect our Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and 3 to our Mac.  When we tried to install Kies per the message on our phones, we got this message -"You can’t open the application “Kies3Setup.exe” because Microsoft Windows applications are not supported on OS X." Android File Transfer doesn't recognize the phones either.  Any suggestions?  Thank you.

Right. An .exe file won't run on OS X.
Does Samsung have a version of their utility for OS X? Download that version (though I seem to recall some crashes mentioned here by others who had it installed).

  • Can I connect a modern LCD to an early G4?

I have an early G4 with an AGP Rage 128 Pro graphics card with 16 Mb VRAM. My CRT monitor is dying and I would like to replace it with an LCD monitor. When I look at the monitor settings I have available in System Prefs, the highest is 1600 x 1200.
I am thinking of 20-inch monitors, either the Dell E207WFP (max: 1680 x 1050) or the 67% more expensive Ultrasharp 2007FP (max 1600 x 1200). I'm confused by all the specs, and since Dell is mail order, I don't want to buy the wrong thing.
I use my G4 for page layout: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator (not games or viewing DVDs). If I buy a new monitor, I want to use all the screen area. So, I have three questions:
    1. Will the Dell E207WFP (max: 1680 x 1050) leave me with black bands of wasted screen at the top and bottom? I'd prefer to buy this monitor because of the price, but not if it is a waste of screen space.
    2. Both monitors say they have DVI and VGA (HD-15) interfaces. I'm guessing my video card does not support DVI, so I will have to use analog. Correct? Does this result in an inferior picture (worse than a CRT, or just not as wonderful as a DVI)? I can live with CRT quality.
    3. Are they likely to be plug-and-play if I use the VGA connection? Can I buy Apple's DVI to VGA display adapter and get true digital, or will my card not support this?
Sorry for being a dummy, but any help would be appreciated.

I orginally hooked it up via VGA and It looks
amazing. I recently bought a DVI cable for better
quality but when I connected it, there was no
difference in picture quality. Am I missing something
or is my video card incompatible with DVI?
DVI can show improvement in fine horizontal detail. It will be most obvious on a one pixel wide vertical black line on a white background. With DVI the black pixels will get the digital value of 0. With VGA, the analog signal goes from 1 volt, to 0, then immediately back to 1. If the display does not sample the voltage at exactly the right time, it won't get the 0, but will get the voltage part way up on one side. Even if the display does sample at the correct time, the voltage may not be 0 because of bandwidth limits in the cable rounding off the signal. OSX does text smoothing, so you may not see much difference there.
The specs on the Samsung say the monitor it is both
Mac and PC compatible but the drivers on the Samsung
site are for PC and so are the drivers on the disc
    that came with the monitor.
You don't need any display drivers for OSX.

  • Connecting powerbook & samsung LCD

I recently bought a Samsung 40" LCD TV with 1360x768 pc resolution. I was assured I could connect my powerbook to it with a HDMI-DVI cable.
I went to the Apple store in SF to buy the Belkin cable but they didn't have it in stock. They sold me an XtremeHD HDMI-DVI cable (which incidentally is $100 cheaper than the Belkin and no one in the store could explain why the radical difference in price).
But when I connect the powerbook to the TV, the only thing that displays is my screensaver image. No toolbar, nothing. Advice anyone? thanks!

You don't have to mirror displays, but doing so shows the same thing on both displays, sometimes with some funny business on the size on one of the displays. Note that you can "span" displays, by not mirroring, and using the "arrangement" tab to move the virtual arrangement of the displays in relation to each other, as well as dragging the menu bar to the display you wish to have as the "primary" screen.

  • Can i connect a Samsung VGA/DVI monitor to macbook air?

I am looking to buy a Macbook air (13.3 inch).  Is there a cable available to connect the Macbook air to my old monitor (Samsung that only supports VGA and DVI)?  Eventually, I will buy a Thunderbolt display, but can't afford that yet.
    Thanks,

Certainly you can. Just about any Apple retailer will have a Thunderbolt/MDP-VGA or Thunderbolt/MDP-DVI adapter. Apple has them also available through the online Apple Store.

  • Can Powerbook connect to sony LCD flat panel fo simultaneous display?

I want to buy the Sony KDL-52XBR2 LCD flat panel and connect my Powerbook G4 using an HDMI or HD-15 Pin cable for simultaneous display.
While the TV specs say it will allow a PC to connect and display, I have had trouble in the past with Mac/tv connectivity because of video driver issues in either the Powerbook or the tv. I could not get both screens to display simultaneously (without parts being cut off at the bottom or sides). Apple would not support my question as the "connected device" (the tv) was not an apple product.
Before I spend the money on a new TV, I would like to know if anyone has had success with "plug-and-play" connectivity to a 42" or 50" plasma or LCD flat panel, in particular a Sony product.
    Thanks in advance for sharing.

There is no reliable way to know if a random TV will or will not suffer from the "overscan" problem where the top, bottom and sides are cut off. Many TVs do this and there is no way to get around it.
What I would do is take your PowerBook to the retailer where you are buying the TV and ask them if you can hook up the PB to the floor model. That is the only way to know for sure if it works to your satisfaction. Either that or, if you have a specific TV and know its model number, you might be able to ask your question again and get an answer from someone that already owns the TV. The AVSforum.com are a good place to check for various TV models.

  • Can i connect a Samsung VP-D381 to iMovie to import videos?

I have recently bought a Samsung VP-D381 Mini DV camcorder, and have just tried to connect it to iMovie to import a video that i have just recorded, only to find that Samsung do not have any software or drivers for the Apple OS...
I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on how i could get this to work?
    Thanks

    Hello,
(I posted the same answer to a similar thread)
I have the same camcorder and same issue, though with iMovie '09.
Symptoms on my Samsung VP-D381 are :
I can import when in Camera mode (live capture)
I cannot import what has been recorded on tape (import window stays blue)
I can forward and rewind and stop.
I found a trick I hope will be useful for you :
    open iMovie.
without connecting it yet, put your Panasonic on "Play".
when video plays, plug the DV cable in.
iMovie opens the video import window and then you should see the tape playing.
press the "Import" button to capture the DV stream.
Let me know if you find other ways to get it to work. I'm quite frustrated Samsung cannot make a DV camcorder work with iMovie, 14 years after DV went out!

  • How can I connect HDTV and LCD monitor to PC using both -as a double monitor.

I recently purchased HP Pavilion PC a6600f with HP w1707 monitor. I also purchased a DVI to HDMI cable to hook PC to Samsung HDTV. I can use the VGA cable to hook to the monitor and the DVI to HDMI cable to hook to the HDTV but have to unplug one to use the other. Is there any way to configure Windows Vista Home Premium to show on both screens at same time or at least be able to switch between the two without having to unplug one and restart computer?
    This question was solved.

I believe you have to press Source or the Mode button to switch between video inputs on your monitor.

  • Can`t connect to Samsung NV 11 digital camera

    Anybody has the same problem?

I can`t see it on the desktop, it neither appears in iPhoto, Image Capture or Finder. Can`t find a PTP or Mass Storage option in the menu.
Before with Leopard, I just connected via USB and switched the camera on. In a menu I then could decide wether to print direcly or connect to my Mac.
Now, even the menu on the camera display does not appear. I only can shoot some pictures or look at them on the camera display.

  • Mac Pro with X1900 - can I connect both 20" LCD and Sony Monitor?

I'm about to purchase a Mac Pro with the x1900 for editing video with Final Cut Pro Studio. I'll use a 20" monitor for main viewing, but would like to use a Sony PVM-14L2 as a playback monitor via Component video. Can I use one of the DVI outs of the x1900 to go to the Sony? I found this type of converter online: http://www.svideo.com/hdtvaiwr8500.html
Is anyone using a set-up like this? I figure it must be pretty common for folks who edit video on a Mac Pro to output to a playback monitor via Component video. Will the x1900 let me do that with the right cable?
    Thanks,
    joel

Hmm. I have that computer, card and dongle - I'll try it out tonight (PST) and let you know.
My gut feeling is that it won't work, or won't work as you would hope.
My powerbook had SVideo out on it, but even when connected to a TV, it would not work as a video out in the same way a fire wire preview through a camcorder did - it was a second monitor on a TV, and was not the same at all as a video out feed (it looked rather horrible in fact).
So, even if this does produce a component out signal, suitable for HDTV, I doubt it will work as a playback monitor.
But I'll post back in about 8 hours time (if someone does not beat me to it.)
