Lenovo G40-70 How to remove dirt/stain in laptop cover

After bringing my laptop in school I noticed black marks in my laptop. Maybe it is caused by my bag. What solution can I use to remove it.

Welcome to the Forums.
I personally use a lint free cloth that's slightly damped with a 70% isopropyl alcohol to clean the base cover (that's usually filled with fingerprint marks / dust), the LCD panel (dark marks), and the keyboard.
You can also use a 50/50 mix of alcohol + distilled water to clean the base but this may take a few more minutes to dry rather than using alcohol only.

Good day! I recently found some marks and stains of dirt in my macbook pro's aluminum body. I tried wiping it off with Alcohol and Water but it won't disappear it looks like its stained on the metal already.
Is there any thing I can apply on the surface of the metal to remove these stains and maybe polish the metal of my laptop?

Try something like Goof-Off or Methyl Ethyl Ketone on a cotton swab on a part of the Mac that nobody see's too much to test the reaction, let it dry and look at that tiny spot a few days later.
Make sure you do this outside, both chemical have a strong order.
If nothing there, then try a little on the spot(s) and always use a clean swab, dip a little, let it work (takes some time), then remove with a dry cloth, repeat.
Don't pour liquids anywhere near the machine.
The two chemicals I've mentioned are very strong solvents, takes off a lot of things including paint.

How to remove SHARED connected as VNC ?

Hello to all,
We are sharing folder with my wife laptop. The laptop appears in the SHARED sections with her username , but the long usernamefollowed by (username_local) appears just below .
Selecting it, the grey bar in the Finder window says "Connected as : VNC" .
Anyone knowing how I can I remove this ?

Lenovo Flex 2 14: How to remove the compartment cover?

I've got the new Lenovo Flex 2 14 with a 500 gb HHD. Now I want to upgrade to a ssd.
The problem is that the hardware maintenance manual does not specify how to remove the compartment cover in case of the flex 2 14, which has no optical drive like the flex 2 15.
I removed the screws that secure the compartment cover, but there is no way to remove the cover. Does anyone had the same problem and found a solution?
I'd be very grateful for any tips!

In addition to the screws around the compartment cover, have you also removed the screws underneath the keyboard?

While uninstalling the Dependency Package will elimiate Lenovo Messenger, it will also remove the functionality that is required for the Companion and Settings applications to run properly (as mentioned by bkuehner).
The easiest (and recommended) way to disable Lenovo Messenger is to prevent it from running automatically. To accomplish this,
Run Lenovo Messenger
Click 'Settings'
Uncheck 'Automatically run at startup'
Close Lenovo Messenger

Hi, I have owned my t430s for now about 2 years without any major complaints recently I've had to use the fn + f5 function quite frequently, because of my poor internet connection. so that way i can reset which signal I want to choose because the default signal I am connected to is not mine. Installing windows 8.1 On Lenovo G40-70

Hi,
I have just purchased a new Lenovo G40-70A. Windows 8.1 came seperately and I need to install. So booted the computer and inserted windows. I then turned off and booted with the novo button. I chose to boot from the windows CD and after entering the product key reached this screen:
It reads that windows can't be installed on the drive. When i click for details I get this screen:
Can anyone inform how to fix?
It is also worth noting that I have formatted the top drive by mistake and thus deleted the Superdos programme that was previously installed. Although I can still obviously boot from the windows install cd as pictured above.
I did also receive a Lenovo disk with drivers for windows 8 but im not sure how thats relevant or how I would boot that.

A couple of things you can try:
When you get to that first screen highlight and delete the existing partition.
If that doesn't work, SHIFT-F10 to bring up a command prompt. Run DISKPART then list disk, select disk, and clean. Exit the command window and see if you can install now.
It may be necessary to restart the installation for either of these approaches.

That gunk is dried human body oils combined with dirt (or food, dust etc)
To remove it, use a soft cloth wrapped around your finger tip and dipped in rubbing alcohol to cut the grease/oil.
Once the cloth tip is dirty, use another and repeat as your transfering the oils to the cloth, but the rubbing alcohol evaporates quickly so you can't use the same spot of cloth.
For the edges and corners, use a toothpick or soft sharp plastic piece around the cloth.
Do not pour water or any sort of liquid near the machine (except in very small amounts like under a capful) to prevent a accidential spill.
Consider using external mouse and keyboards, it keeps the wear and tear (and crap) off the machine so it stays brand new looking.

Lenovo G40-70-2525 - LENOVO support please read this

Comes with windows 8.1, downgraded to windows 7 for client, but international driver support page doesnt have the hotkey driver for windows 7.
Do official lenovo support can create one asap?

2. Write this code :
data : excl type SLIS_T_EXTAB.
data : exclwa type SLIS_EXTAB.
exclwa = '&OUP'.
append exclwa to excl.
exclwa = '&ODN'.
append exclwa to excl.
3. Then while calling the FM,
pass this parameter also .
IT_EXCLUDING = excl
It will work fantastic.

How to remove blank pages from WebI Report in view page layout option

Hi,
I am working in Business Objects XIR2 environment. I have a WebI report with several sections. I need to show the report as a book with 69 sections (each section on new page). there are 69 sections on cost center and each cost center section has almost 10 sections embedded in it. When i see in regular view - I only see 69 pages but when I try to see in "View Page Lay out" option, there is one blank page added after each results page.
Please let me know how to remove this blank page. I need to give users the option to download the book as PDF on to their machine. Now, when I download to my machine, I see one blank page after each results page.

Jus convert your report in Page Layout mode and see if your first pafe is getting expand in the second page.
Now check if there are any cell going into second page.
- if there are any blank cell which is there after table.
you have to check formating very carefull.
