Hi dendie701,
Thanks for posting and welcome to the Lenovo Community,
I’d like to help you with your issue,
Can you please check the below links for the Drivers for the wireless and the Bluetooth for your machine and we can install them a fresh installation:
For the wireless:
http://support.lenovo.com/en_EG/downloads/detail.page?DocID=DS031019
http://support.lenovo.com/en_EG/downloads/detail.page?DocID=DS031021
http://support.lenovo.com/en_EG/downloads/detail.page?DocID=DS031020
Can you try to download them and try again to Turn on the wireless and connect,
But regarding the Bluetooth I’d like to ask you your machine came pre-loaded with windows 7?
And  please share with us the details of the Drivers in the Device manager if there's any sign on the drivers?
Thanks and Best Regards,
Soha

  • Serious and Sudden Problem with Z10 NEED HELP PLEASE

I have a z10, one of the first that came out in Toronto (if it makes a
difference), a couple of hours ago I came across a serious and sudden
    problem.
I was able to swipe left and right between pages of apps, even drop down
from the top, but I cannot open anything, not even make a call or settings
    options.
Any time I try to, for a split second it looks like its about to load
something then nothing. (image slides to the right quickly and goes back on
    every attempt)
So I first did a reset, same problem, then I did a battery pull (about 15 minutes) and problem presisted.
I tried through USB to do a backup on blackberry manager and perhaps do a
re-install of everything, however when I was prompted for the password of
my device on my PC it kept telling me it was an incorrect password (I use
this blackberry on my computer 4-7 days a week, twice a day sometimes for a
year and I have never miss typed my password nor have i changed it)
After trying everything to make sure the first letter maybe was upper/lower
case, even my other possible phone password, nothing worked..
On the 5th failed attempt my phone prompted me to type 'blackberry', which
i did, then i typed my password on my phone which i type in about 15 times
a day becuase I set my phone to a 5 minute lock and still said it was incorrect.... I am no on 9/10 attempts and lost
    for options.
Please if anyone can give me any suggestions, or even how to backup my phone
and whipe it now, or I have an earlier backup form 4 months ago that I
wouldnt mind going back to in worst case scenario.
Thank you for your help in advance,
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Sorry, no I haven't experienced that. It could be from an app you downloaded but that's just a guess. Wiping the device will tell us a lot. If the device still doesn't work you'll want to reload the OS using BB Link. if it still doesn't work after that then warranty support will be necessary through Rogers.

  • Optical drive, camera and bluetooth problems with Acer Aspire 7520

    Hello everyone
First, my DVD drive just stopped working, it's not being recognized by Arch it seems. This has happened before a few times, but it suddenly started to work. I can open the tray manually, and when I insert a DVD, you can see the led blinking and drive does start to spin, but thats all. I've tried removing and reloading cdrom module with no success. Also, there was a /dev/sr0 before, now it's gone.

Now, the camera issue is a bit different. It worked before with no problems. But now, when I start guvcview, it opens it's main window, and a second window that usually show picture from camera, just appears for a moment and disappears. The led next to my camera turns on, and stays that way. Also, yesterday when I was trying to test the camera, guvcview stuck in a uninteruptible state, so I couldn't kill him in any way. Even after I close guvcview, the camera led is still on, but he is not among active processes. Although in the guvcview output below it says that the device is in use, I don't know how, because I rebooted my laptop and then I tried to run it.
This is what guvcview outputs in console after I start and then close it:

For the bluetooth, I really never managed to get it working. The bluetooth daemons starts with no problems, but hcitool dev shows no devices. I read the wiki, and the only thing I didn't try is the hid2hci tool, I couldn't figure out what to use for devpath argument.
    Thanks.

  • Bluetooth problem with car system -- HELP PLEASE!

New IPhone owner. Want to/have to use Bluetooth for hands free driving. Efforts to "pair" phone with car's system unsuccessful so far. Help would be appreciated.
Specs: IPhone 8gb purchased yesterday. Running Version 1.1.3. Vehicle is 2008 BWM X5.
Advised by BMW Bluetooth techs to try to get download of version 1.1.2 because vehicle's system may not recogize 1.1.3.
OK, how do I get 1.1.2? If I get it, will it erase 1.1.3 on IPhone? How do I speak to an Apple/Bluetooth/vehicle expert?
    Thanks in advance.

Did you call Apple Care? They could at least walk you thru the sync. Mine took a few attemps to sync with my Landrover's bluetooth.

  • HT6154 iOS 7 and iPhone 4S - I lost my WiFi and Bluetooth capabilities last September with the new OS, and I THOUGHT it was actually fixed this morning with the latest release - my WiFi AND Bluetooth actually worked....for about 5 minutes, but no longer

I thought this latest OS release had fixed my WiFi and Bluetooth problem, but I was excited for only a minute!  I actually was able to connect to my WiFi at home and paired my Bluetooth to my car - but after a few minutes, the Bluetooth automatically turned off and the WiFi no longer worked.  Is there a FIX to this???  I know it's the OS that disabled them and I'm not paying $500 for a new phone when my upgrade is not availbe for another six months!!!!

My iPhone 4S did once again did  lose it's wifi connection after running perfectly for about 8 weeks.
I was streaming Pandora Radio via bluetooth connection at the time, ( not sure if that has anything to do with why the wifi dropped out again, but I thought I'd mention it anyway)
But!.... I was able to get everything up and running perfectly again by simply grabing my girlfriend's hair dyer heated it up again for about 5 - 7 minutes ( the over heated message even appeared this time) then powered it off, warped it in a plastic bag, stuck it back in the freezer for 15 minutes, took it out of the freezer, powered it back on, and Abracadabra it works perfectly again!!!
Phone has been running perfectly AGAIN for about a week now.
One strange thing this time after fixing it for a second time is that the the little WiFi symbol no longer shows at the top of the screen, but the wifi connection and everything IS RUNNING PERFECTLY!
If all I've got to do once in a while, is spend about 20 minutes with a hairdryer and a freezer to keep my iPhone 4S running perfectly.....well I'm as happy as a pig in s*** :-)
And please no comments about how I have now voided my apple support etc. I never had any to begin with  (it's a 2nd hand phone and  I really  couldn't care less about warranty issues etc etc etc..... The phone works, and that's all that matters to me!

  • Yoga 13 WiFi and bluetooth issue resolved

Unfortunately, I also met WiFi problems, but also found unexpected and sad solution.
Wifi worked pretty well at working place, but had problems at home. As an experiment I brought WiFi router from the working place home. It did not work!
At home I used pretty old keyboard and mouse plugged into passive USB hub. As soon as they were disconnected, problems disappeared. WiFi was also stable after I plugged power supply into the USB hub.
We are making 24-bit analog-to-digital converter that connects to the PC via USB. I exactly know its current consumption (300 to 330 mA) and know that it correctly handles USB rules about power regulations. Maximum current, specified by USB2.0 standard, is 500mA, so consumption of our ADC is within limits. As soon as I plug this ADC in, WiFi connection immediately disappears at the working place.
In the case of other devices, such as USB flash drive, power consumption may depend on the activity, increasing as it writes or reads something, and decreasing at the moment of inactivity.
I'm pretty sure that Lenovo placed their WiFi/bluetooth module on the same USB hub with right-side USB2 connector. Any device, that requires energy, being plugged into USB2.0 port, immediately destroys WiFi (and presumably bluetooth) and it is rather hard to get it back alive without special dancing around.
So, conclusion: never plug anything into USB2.0 port, if you need WiFi. This decreases number of available USB ports from two to one. Lenovo team should be blamed for that, not driver manufacturers or board manufacturers - Lenovo did non do its construction job well.
I am not sure, that all WiFi and bluetooth problems of Yoga discussed at this forum have the same reason. But in any case incorrect implementation of USB2.0 power should be considered before any other reason of malfunction.
Car manufacturers recall their products in the case of a failure. What about computer manufacturers?

    Citation from Wikipedia:
The USB 1.x and 2.0 specifications provide a 5 V supply on a single wire to power connected USB devices. The specification provides for no more than 5.25 V and no less than 4.75 V (5 V ± 5%) between the positive and negative bus power lines. For USB 3.0, the voltage supplied by low-powered hub ports is 4.45–5.25 V.[61]
A unit load is defined as 100 mA in USB 2.0, and 150 mA in USB 3.0. A device may draw a maximum of 5 unit loads (500 mA) from a port in USB 2.0; 6 (900 mA) in USB 3.0. There are two types of devices: low-power and high-power. A low-power device draws at most 1 unit load, with minimum operating voltage of 4.4 V in USB 2.0, and 4 V in USB 3.0. A high-power device draws, at most, the maximum number of unit loads the standard permits. Every device functions initially as low-power — but may request high-power, and get it if available on the providing bus.[62]
Obviously, WiFi adapter is a high-power device. If it does not have sufficient power, it will start power saving program by reducing speed. Even lower power may interrupt ins basic functions. When I connect another high-power device (HDD or ADC) to the same hub, it should get its 500mA from the hub. Seems that starting at this moment  WiFi receives much less current than it requires and stops working.
If something is plugged into USB3 port, and this something does not utilize all energy it requested, WiFi starts working again.
I would greatly appreciate if somebody repeats my tests using Yoga or Yoga 2 Pro.
    Test:
Reboot your system, all USB devices disconnected
Open http://www.speedtest.net site and measure Download connection speed (Speed1)
Connect external HDD to USB2 (NOT USB3!) port
    Wait until HDD is connected
Test Download speed once again (Speed2)
Report results to this blog as Speed1/Speed2 couple of numbers
    Thank you in advance

  • Problem with IOS 4.3.3 in Touch. No WIFI and Bluetooth detected.

There's not WIFI and Bluetooth since I've updated my IPod Touch to IOS 4.3.3. Anyone else have this problem? Thanks and greetings from Spain.

Here is Apple troubleshooting for that symptom.  Just be aware, that you may have a hardware problem or require an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store:
Unable to use Wi-Fi or Bluetooth with iPhone or iPod touch because there's no address listed for the device

  • Well, it started as a problem with wifi and bluetooth

Early this morning, both my wifi and bluetooth wouldn't work properly.
I turned off my ipod touch, and turned it back on.
Then, both my wifi and bluetooth were "grayed out".
AND for some reason, my iPod couldn't access any of my music.
All of my music still took up the hard drive space on the iPod, but it would not show up.
Now, I put my iPod into recovery mode, and plugged it into my computer.
I'm trying to restore it and update to the newest software, but after iTunes fully downloads the new OS, I get an error message saying that my connection timed out.
So now, my iPod is pretty much useless.
Anything I can do to make sure I'm not losing $300 because of Apple's faulty software?
    It's a 3rd Gen 32GB iPod Touch.

    No.
The problem started while I still had the old 3.1.2 OS.
After all the primarily listed problems, I was eventually able to get it restore and update to 4.1.
    It's not the OS.
I bought my iPod Touch just under a year ago, not too long after New Years.
I'll check in with Apple about it; You may be right about the faulty wireless hardware.
Just strange how it happened to mess up now.

  • TS1559 still no solution for greyed out wifi and bluetooth - what to do? been messing around with it for weeks and now discover I'm just outside of warranty period? WHAT?

I am in such a predicament - phone not been quite right since the 6.1 update and I was tolerating the inconvenience of switching off and on etc etc for the past couple of months and now the wifi and bluetooth are totally greyed out all the time - did every restore possible including back to factory settings - still no luck - please don't tell me that trying all the solutions over the past 2 months that temporarily worked for a few days at a time will now mean I have timed myself out of the 1 year warranty? arghhhhh (I can't believe that such an issue will create the response 'oh well, your problem - best just buy another one' ???)
I can't just drop everything and drive to the apple store and wait for hours every time there's a 'glitch' otherwise I may as well move nextdoor to the mall. They tell you to try and solve it yourself first - which I did - and now it's not responding to anything I try, will I be told - 'too late, out of warranty'???
I see theres an update for the iphone 5 that fixes wifi bugs - what about us 4s owners? even my 3 year old 3gs is still working on wifi (haven't dared to update it!) so don't start telling me to expect that the iphone will only last 13 months - NOT AT $600 a piece
This is madness and driving me crazy
Please has anyone had any luck fixing this problem???

well, you know how it is - glitches that usually resolve with a hard reset etc
then a restore. then a factory restore....then ..... nothing fixes so I try the next step with apple online - fill out my serial number and find it is a couple of weeks out of date - and then with the holidays who has time to get to the apple store? this is my second 4s handset as it is - first one the glass cracked from L to R without any impact/damage etc - they changed it out automatically because it's a 'known fault' apparently - so technically, this handset is only 6 months old - but warranty is from original purchase date -
never imagined it would turn out to be a warranty issue with the phone - and hey maybe when I get a chance to go to the apple store they'll be sympathetic, but I won't be able to get there till at least Jan 4th as it is. On the other hand, another iOS update might resolve the issue - but how long till that release? at the moment I'm having to use my old 3gs for wifi and 4s for phone!!!

How can I tether via USB my iPhone 4S with iOS 7.1.1 to my MacBook with Snow Leopard 10.6.8 and iTunes 11.2.2 ?? Please note that at the same time Personal Hotspot via both WiFi and Bluetooth works perfectly!

    Hello, lustige luka.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
The Personal Hotspot feature using USB  should be as simple as connecting the device to your Mac via the USB cable when Hotspot is enabled.  Here is some more information regarding this feature and an article that will provide some troubleshooting steps if you are experiencing an issue.

  • Problems sharing internet to macbook over wifi and bluetooth

I have an iPhone 5S with iOS 7.1.2 and I want to share its internet connection to a Macbook Pro (early 2011) with OS X Mavericks 10.9.4.
When I share using USB connection, it works fine, but with Wifi and Bluetooth I have some issues:
    - Bluetooth: I have never been able to make this work. I can't pair the iPhone with the Macbook. The iPhone appeared in the list of bluetooth devices in my mac, and I tried to pair it; in the iPhone a dialog asked me to confirm if I wanted to pair with the mac, and I selected Yes. After a few seconds it disconnected. If I try to pair from my iPhone to the mac, I get an error message "Device not compatible".
    - Wifi: this sometimes works but is very buggy. Sometimes the iPhone wifi network is not visible to my mac. Other times, when I select the wifi network in the mac, I get an error message that says it was not possible to connect. I have to turn off/on the wifi and internet sharing in the iPhone several times to make it work.
This is all very frustrating. Is there a way to fix this?

Same issue here with WiFi using latest iOS version on iPad Air and latest Macbook Pro. In my opinion, "Personal Hotspot" (or tethering) is totally broken on iOS.
WiFi tethering works once and then I need to enable/disable hotspot or enable/disable WiFi to make it work again. Bluetooth is so slow it's unusable. Even over USB I have to reset the iPad a couple times a day as the internet connection is displayed as online but just not working any more. Very disappointing. "it just works (not!)".
