Lenovo g470 windows 7 start up

Good day fellow lenovo user..
I'm a new lenovo user here..
I acquired my laptop last week June 14 2012..
After 1 week I experienced a problem..
I hope someone can help me..
My problem regarding my laptop is,
when I'm restarting/rebooting it. Or opening it... Sometimes I experienced hanging already even if I will just going to right click on the desktop and trying to refresh it.. It will hang already.. And sometimes just opening a program like internet browsers the program will not start and it will hang already, I can still move the mouse pointer..
Sorry I'm having a hard time in addressing my concern in English.. Its not my first language by the way.. I hope the readers can understand what I'm trying to say..

bought lenovo b575 last week in Bestbuy as a gift for my father-in-law. Since it was on sale, I decided to get one for my self too. Both laptops were working the way they suppose to work until yesterday, mine turns on but windows wont open, and then i recieved a call from my father-in-law saying the same thing happen to his laptop..
Any idea? Is this a common problem w/ lenovo? Not even a week old from the date purchased...Should I call Lenovo or Bestbuy w/ this kind of issue?

Lenovo Yoga 2 13 - Screen going back to windows 8 Start page every 5 seconds

Hello !
I've had for a few months this weird problem I find no solution for. In laptop mode, my screen randomly go back to the windows 8 start page while the laptop loudly vibrates. Even when I'm not touching the laptop it does so. I've searched for long on this forum and others but I still have not found any solution.
Could somebody please help me ? :-)

Lenovo G470 - Blank Screen/Dark Screen when i restart;

Hello Everyone,
Please help me with this weird issue;
i brought a Lenovo G470 laptop, and installed it with WINDOWS XP Service Pack 2,
but i did not get any sound, it asked me to Upgrade, when i Upgraded to Windows Service Pack 3, i got the sound but when i restart it, the screen goes dark and when i press Function key and the Key with respect to Brightness, i get the screen ..Why is this happening...

Please.. could anyone give solutions for me to enable wifi and bluetooth for Lenovo G470, i5 2520, intelHD3000, 8gb ram, 500gb..running on windows 8 pro 64 bit, (maybe could give a link to working drivers), everything else is great but wifi and bluetooth, (not yet try one key recovery and veriface though)
ps, I've already download latests driver from lenovo support but still not working...and tried wifi bluetooth drivers for win7 64, but its not working also, previously run on windows 7 starter 32bit, wifi n bluetooth runs perfect.

Can you try to download them and try again to Turn on the wireless and connect,
But regarding the Bluetooth I’d like to ask you your machine came pre-loaded with windows 7?

Lenovo g470 shutdown problems (in intervals of 10-12 days)

Hi everyone, I'm from Argentina, so I apologize for my english.
My problem with Lenovo G470 is this: every 10, 12 days it shutdowns and can't use it for a time. I'm doing anything (listening to music, writting a text, etc) or sometimes I'm afk and just doing nothing and it happens anyway. And then, for a time it's impossible to start windows. I turn on the laptop and the Lenovo logo appears, but then just shuts down.
Maybe 4-5 hours later it starts to work ok again. Im not sure aboout this because when this happen i usually leave it there and come back the next day.
I've been reading a lot of posts in this forum about similar problems, but I couldn't find this exact same problem that I have.
Also, this happens on battery or plugged in. Is the same. Another weird thing that occurs sometimes is that when I'm using it on battery and I turn it off, the laptop shutdown, but the on/off button light doesn't turns off. I need to plug it in to solve this.
I don't know if could be related, but I replaced the W7 home basic with the ultimate version. While I had it with home basic this didn't happened, but it was a short time (2 days) so I couldn't determine if this is related. Anyway I have the recovery CDs if a probable solution would be that.
I've read here about solutions like flashing the bios. I didn't do it but I could try it if you think it could work. I don't know if there are new updates. The truth is I'm a total newbie on flashing the bios.
In conclusion, any help you could give me will be appreciate. I'm in the Lost island right now. I can't understand why this happens.
So, thanks for your help and again, sorry for my english.
* I didn't take it to the support because this is kind of random and I really need my laptop.
UPDATE: I forgot to mention that when this happens, I can't turn on the laptop with the on/off button. But if I press space and escape it turns on again, and fails again of course.

Please try disconnecting all cable and battery from the unit , Now press the power button for 30-40 sec then release , perform this action 4 -5 times , now connect AC adaptor to check by powering on and booting the system. If system is working fine you can shut down and connect the battery to check,
Also try updating the Bios from the below link

Check the songs are really not in the Music section of the library by clicking the magnifying glass in the search box and unticking Search Entire Library if it is ticked, then typing in the name of the album. If the tracks still don't show try closing iTunes and deleting a hidden file called sentinel from inside your iTunes folder. This should make iTunes run an integrity check on the database when you start it again. Make sure the tracks are checked before you try syncing again.

Windows 7 starter re-install disk

hi folks,
I had a bios issue a few weeks ago and sent my ideapad s10-3t t repair. Bios issue was resolved , however, I cannot boot into windows 7. I tried to use one key recovery and it does not help either. I was wondering if they replaced new motherboard and system does not recognize it.
The problem is that I did not create a recovery disk before I sent it to repair. Any idea how to resovle such issue?

So here is my tail... I have owned and loved my Lenovo laptops for years. In fact I have 6 laptops that are less than 3 years old.
When I saw the new S10-3t I wanted one. So I ordered it, waited a long time to get it. Received it two days ago and started playing with it.
The first thing I did was uninstall all the trial ware. I then found out how limited Window 7 starter is so I wanted to upgrade to a higher version. Before I do this I should create the restore media like any responsible owner. Well I didn't have an external DVD connected when I launched the Create factory default recovery disk, so it gave me an error saying it couldn't burn a DVD. I thought maybe it would build an ISO that I could just copy off. That was fine I will go grab my external DVD. But I noticed that I now have an extra drive showing up in my computer, and on that drive is all the restore image stuff.
I then connect the DVD drive and relaunched onekey. This time I get an error saying "The program cannot find the service partition.” So it won’t let me create a disk and the system restore button doesn't work.
I believe this is because the partition is suppose to be hidden and now it is present to windows.
Well I didn't want to try to "fix" my 2 day old computer, so I called tech support. Their answer was this. Yes it's broke. It is a software issue. I have two options, send it in for reimaging or get it replaced by sales.
I find this crazy for a software issue.
So I’m asking the community to help. Is anyone smarter than Lenovo's first level tech support and has a fix for this or could someone make me a copy of their backup DVD's (I would give you some money for Disk and shipping)? I know the second is "wrong" but so is sending in a laptop for a software bug. If Lenovo would sell me the media I would be happy, but they don't have media because this unit doesn't come with a DVD drive.

Windows 7 Starter supporting 2GB memory?

I upgraded my Ideapad s10-3, (which I just bought a few weeks ago) with a 2 GB memory module. I wonder if Windows 7 Starter supports 2GB memory. In the manuals it it is said, w7 Starter does not support 2GB. However, when I start up the Task Manager it shows memory usage of over 1GB, depending on how many applications I have started. How can I check it. Any help is appreciated.

@ vijaysaradhi your link goes to this page. @ KlausWieland what does it say when you open the system settings in the control panel or by right clicking my computer and click properties. It will show you there.

Lenovo G470 USB not working!

Hello,
Just purchased Lenovo G470 USB are not working properlly,
Deskjet Printer keeps dissapearing, and when I plugin iPhone for charging - absolutely nothing happens, it simply does not detect it.
Drivers installed and device manager says: Working properly
It is enabled in BIOS.
Any help?

welcome to the forums.
uninstall the current USB drivers and let windows install its generic drivers.
test the usb port with a memory key. can it get detected? if yes, test our your iphone as well as the printer.

Windows 8 start-up unnecessary software thinkpad x230

Hello!
Where can I get description of lenovo software running on start up?
Can you help me to understand what I need to disable on start up?
I update my system to windows 8.
After the latest upgrade with lenovo solution center my systems became additional start-up software:
1) Lenovo AVFramework Native Server (19) - I don't have web cam, why it is running?
2) Mobile Hotspot Client Application - what is it? Why I need it?
3) ThinkVantage Active Protection System (TpShocks) - what is it? Why I need it?
Other qquestion:
1) Why there is no lenovo power manager, but latest system upgrade (12.01.12) was installing it...?
2) There are 2 copies of lenovo utilities in Program files and Program files x86! How can I delete one of it properly and what I should delete? (Why this happened - nobody wants to use 32bit software on 64bit system?),
For example there are 2 different copies of password_manager running...
Booting time is 1.20 minute vs 30 sec on [windows 7 without any upgrades]! I make upgrades only with lenovo solution center and I feel myself as a beta tester now...
And the last question, how can I disable life image and color calibration, it is annoying?
PS excuse me for some imperative in my English - this is not my first language.

Did you try running diagnostics? The ESC key after power on should get you to the Startup screen.
If diagnostics run clean then try Safe Mode.
Using F11 to enter the HP Recovery Manager(if working) should get you to a menu that allows you to select Troubleshoot.

No, you won't lose warranty if you install Windows XP on your notebook. But do make sure you burn a set of factory default settings through OneKey recovery: http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/research/hints-or-tips/detail.page?DocID=HT051302

Lenovo U350, can not start any programs at some point

Hi experts,
I ran again into some problems with my Lenovo U350 under Windows 7.
All of a sudden, I can not start any program on my laptop after running it for a while. I click on the program I can see this program running in Task Manager but it does not show up on the screen.
Also I can not restart my laptop normally by clicking either on buttons "Restart" or "Shut down" either. For some reason these buttons/commands stop working. The only way to deal with this problem is a hard shut down by holding the "Power On/Off" button pressed on the laptop for a few seconds.
I ran the antivirus check on my laptop to find existing viruses but came out with the result of 0 viruses.
I wonder why the programs on my laptop stop loading or freezing? Any ideas?
I'm that close to reinstall the whole system with the OKR.

yigit, thanks a lot for your reply.
I tried to reinstall Windows on the weekend using the OKR. The problem was that I could start OKR under Windows 7 and choose the clean OS installation. Then my laptop restarts and I expected that reinstallation procedure would start next. But in reality what I have is just a normal Windows 7 Start. I also tried to start OKR by pressing an OKR button while my laptop is switched off. But same result - just a normal Windows 7 Start. Apparently, the OKR files are corrupted somehow.
I have to mention 2 facts:
1) I didn't change the partitions on my drive. These are the default factory partitions.
2) Unfortunately, I didn't create the recovery discs when I bought my laptop.
The question is how I can reinstall my system then? May I ask Lenovo for some recovery discs to ship to me if I still have a warranty?

P.S. yigit, I checked your mentioned thread. The problem is I don't receive any Windows message saying why it can't start programs. It just doesn't start without any error message that should come along with it.

Windows 7 Starter Disks

I just purchased an S10-3 netbook in a trainining class that came prebuilt with Ubuntu on it. I have a current Windows Product key and would like to install Windows 7 starter on it now. How do I get the Windows 7 OEM disks to install it?? I don't want to send it back to get it reimaged just want the media that came on the machine when it was built.

Your laptop does't come with Windows disk because Windows comes preinstalled. The recovery disk is created using a specific program. But, if that laptop has Linux it's very probable that your system partition is gone.
You search on Internet for a trusteable DVD or call Lenovo customer service and ask them for a recovery disk (have a fee).
