Lenovo G50-30, Windows 8.1, Boot Probleme, ACPI

Hallo zusammen,
habe mein G50-30 mit Windows 8.1 Pro, 64bit laufen. Leider ist es der Fall, dass es beim starten teilweise, nicht reproduzierbar zu Verzögerungen kommt. Teilweise muss ich das Gerät durch 3-4 Sekunden druck der Power-Taste abschalten und anschließend neustarten. Gefühlt besteht das beschriebene Problem nach jedem zweiten Start.
Alle Treiber sind installiert und werden im Gerätemanager auch als betriebsbereit und funktionstüchtig angezeigt.
In den Windows-Logs finde ich immer nach dem auftreten des Problems folgenden Fehler angezeigt:
Fehler - Ereignis 13, ACPI:
: Der eingebettete Controller (EC) hat nicht innerhalb des angegebenen Zeitlimits reagiert. Dies deutet auf einen Fehler in der EC-Hardware oder -Firmware hin bzw. darauf, dass das BIOS auf falsche Art auf den EC zugreift. Fragen Sie den Computerhersteller nach einem aktualisierten BIOS. Dieser Fehler kann in einigen Situationen zur Folge haben, dass der Computer fehlerhaft läuft.
BIOS ist auf der aktuellsten Version. (BIOS-Version/-Datum    LENOVO A7CN43WW, 21.10.2014)
Was könnte ich falsch machen?

in diesem Fall können mehrere Faktoren (Software, Treiber, Hardware) eine Rolle spielen. Hier einige Möglichkeiten zur Fehlereingrenzung:
1. Energy Management
Da der Fehler auf die ACPI-Funktionialität hinweist, kann eine Neuinstallation der entsprechenden Energie-Treiber helfen. Du müsstest die Software in der Systemsteuerung in der Liste der installierten Programme finden. Deinstalliere das Programm "Energy Management" oder "Energy Manager" und installiere anschließend diese Version:

2. Hardware-Scan
Das "Lenovo Solution Center" ist meistens vorinstalliert. Du kannst es aber auch hier nochmal herunterladen: http://support.lenovo.com/de/de/downloads/migr-73784
 Wenn das Programm installiert und gestartet ist, gehe wie folgt vor:
 - links im Menü auf "Prüfung" klicken
 - auf "Hardware-Scan" klicken
 - auf die Schaltfläche "Scan ausführen" klicken
 - den Punkt bei "Ausführliche Tests ausführen" setzen
 - nach ganz unten scrollen
 - unten rechts auf die Schaltfläche "Starten" klicken
Der ausführliche Test dauert ca. zwei Stunden. Nach Abschluss kannst du unten rechts auf "Protokoll anzeigen" klicken. Wenn alle Tests bestanden wurden, liegt kein Hardwaredefekt vor und ein Systemrecovery wäre ratsam (siehe nächster Punkt). 
3. Recovery 
Im Werkszustand muss das System problemlos funktionieren, sofern kein Hardwaredefekt vorliegt. Wenn das Notebook vorinstalliert gekauft wurde und die Festplatte nicht umpartitioniert wurde, benutze OneKey Recovery, um den Werkszustand zu laden. Nähere Infos dazu im Handbuch.
4. Hardwareproblem
Ich haben einen älteren Thread gefunden, in dem bei gleicher Fehlermeldung schlussendlich ein Problem mit einer Speicherbank bzw. mit dem Speichercontroller vermutet wurde:

Bei einem Hardwarefehler hilft dir der Support weiter, damit eine Reparatur veranlasst wird.

    Hello!! I'm Javier from Argentina. I'm having a strange boot problem with my Lenovo u430 Touch and Windows 8.1 x64 configured in UEFI.
    When I power on o restart the laptop It gets stuck at lenovo logo screen and i have to press a key from the keyboard to continue booting on Windows 8.1 x64. This is really annoying.
    No hdd activity.Trying to solve the problem I reset bios to default settings, I updated to last bios available and restored Windows 8.1 with OKR but i have no luck.
    To solve this problem I configured the laptop to use legacy support, but I would that someone can help me to use again my laptop with UEFI bios settings.

  • Bootcamp Windows 7 partition boot problems

    I created a 100gb partion on my Macbook Pro and installed Windows 7. Have been using it successfully for several months. When I went to shut down the other night, Windows wanted to install updates, so I left it and went to bed. Next time I tried to start up in Windows, using option key, startup sequence began with "Starting up Windows" and the icon. After about a minute, the screen went black. Nothing happening, even though I could hear the machine was still running.
    Restarted it in safe mode, was able to restore to previously working setup, tried to diagnose the problem with Windows install disk unsuccessfully (unable to operate in safe mode--32 bit). Thought maybe the problem was Windows updates wouldn't install if default startup disk was OSX, so changed startup disk to Bootcamp partition and restarted it. Same black screen after a minute.
    Starting in safe mode again, tried to restore previous working settings. Now even that wouldn't work. Still able to see contents of Mac HD, so not worried that it's disappeared. Tried to restart using option key to get OSX, with no luck. It appeared that the Boot Manager had defaulted to the Windows side and wouldn't work with the option key.
    Started up with the OSX install disk, using the C key, and was able to boot in OSX. Allowed software update to run, thinking maybe bootcamp driver was the issue. Tried to restart in Windows with option key again, but no luck.
    Obviously, I can reinstall Windows 7, but wondering if there's another solution. ??

    Just an additional note:  Apple Bootcamp Support states that, for 64-bit Windows 7, 20 GB of hard drive space is required.  I provided 60 GB. What happened to the other 35+ GB of space on that partition...?

  • Windows Keboard and Booting Problem (on a Mac laptop)

    Hi, I've been putting up with a really strange (and annoying) problem that my laptop has been going through. I have a Santa Rosa MacBook Pro with OS Leopard, and I put on a Windows XP Pro (with Service Pack 2) NTFS partition. It used to work fast at first--especially booting up and logging on. I have noticed that now when I log onto Windows (no other user accounts , just mine) the wallpaper, desktop, desktop icons, start bar, all load. But when I click on My Computer it takes a good minute and a half for all the components to be displayed (like C drive , the CD drive, Shared Documents). I only have one partition which is C drive. But for a minute and a half, the flashlight icon keeps moving back and forth. Even if I click on any icon, the cursor will turn into a sandtimer but no programs will open once all the drives show up in the My Computer window.
    My initial theory was that maybe it's searching for My Documents which I shifted to one of my external harddrives. But that doesn;t seem to be it. When I log off and log back in, it loads much faster. I can open programs in 2 seconds. Also, I realized that the Apple keyboard features (which is controlling volume and brightness) works only then. If I had to boot up Windows, not only does it take long to load (although shutting down is pretty quick), the brightness and volume keys don't work. I have to set it manually through Control Panel. So now if I have to open up Windows, the ritual is that I sit around for a minute and a half (which is a very long time if u think about it) and just when it's working I force myself to log off (so the volume and brightness keys work once I log back on)
    I suppose it's worth mentioning that I had downloaded this "skin" which makes XP look like Vista, but I uninstalled it now although not completely since it needed the Service Pack 2 CD which I don't have at the moment (I'm on vacation) . I would think that could be the problem, but then why does simply logging off and on make Windows work like a charm? Is it an update glitch? Has anyone had this problem before? Could somebody please help me since I'm really tired of waiting around or this stupid thing to load (not to mention hearing myself come up with stupid theories). This has been going on for 4 and half months now. Come to think of it it's been a while since I received any Bootcamp updates from Apple (unless they just haven't released any that could fix such a problem)
    Just in case my specs are-- 2.4 GhZ, OS 10.5, nVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT, 15 inch display, 250 GB (of which 30 GB is for Windows).
    I'll be waiting for any answers/suggestions/tips/solutions. Thanks so much in advance =)

  • Lenovo G50-70 Bluetooth/Wi-Fi problem in (32bit) window 7

    hello , recently i installed window 7 32bit on my Lenovo G50-70 laptop with window 8.1 (64 bit) installed (as default).
    but found bluetooth and wifi not working 
    I downloaded 515mb driver file from http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/lenovo-g-series-laptops/g50-70-noteboo... 
    After unpacking  I get a Atheros, Broadcom, Realtek, Inte folder with "Setup.exe" file and when I'm trying to use it there is only a "Warning" window with message "No Appropriate Driver to be installed"
    I checked BIOS settings too - there's also Wi-Fi enabled
    help!!
    and as i can see, most lenovo have this problem why??? alot of people in this forum also complaning the same issues..

    The "No Appropriate Driver to be installed" error usually pops up if the installer can't find the specific hardware ID(s) to install the necessary drivers. This may happen if you have a different type of bluetooth adapter (eg. Intel wireless +bluetooth combo)
    Can you try the following:
    1. If the Network Controller (wireless adapter) is present under Device Manager, can you install these drivers first and reboot if necessary:
    Lenovo Energy Manager
    21.4MB
    WLAN Driver (Atheros, Broadcom, Realtek, Intel)
    267MB
    2. When finished, check if you can now see the wireless and bluetooth adapter under Device Manager (see Bluetooth and Network Adapters) and press the airplane mode key (F7) to enable these devices.

  • Lenovo G50-30 Unable to access BIOS settings after Windows recovery

    I recently 'downgraded' a recently purchased Lenovo G50-30 with preinstalled Windows 8.1 to Windows 7 using a UEFI USB install on a GPT partition. I also updated the BIOS from A7CN40WW to the latest A7CN43WW and all was working fine. However, after performing a necessary restore of an system image created using the Windows 7 backup and restore tool, I am suddenly unable to access the BIOS settings, either with the novo button (I do get the menu to select BIOS) or with Fn +F2. All that happens is that I receive a blank screen with a static cursor in the upper left corner. I can however still access the boot menu Fn +F12. This is a particular pain as I obviousl can't select USB 3.0 in BIOS.
    Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

    OK, I managed to clear CMOS by disassembling and desoldering a leg off the the RTC battery but to no avail. The problem seems to be that BIOS a7cn43ww itself has somehow been corupted. In theory this should be able to be resolved by a reflash. The trouble here is there seems to be no way to reflash with a current or previous BIOS version, so I'll have to either wait for a newer version or someone may know better.
    C'mon Lenovo support this simply isn't good enough. It's a brand new laptop and I'm considering returning it for a refund.

  • Lenovo G50-30 - "No Bootable Device" error message when trying to install windows 7 via DVD-ROM.

    Hi all, Recently purchased a Lenovo G50-30 as a birthday present. After recieving the laptop, I tried putting a fresh install of Windows 7 64 Bit onto it. After changing the BIOS settings to allow legacy booting from the DVD drive and changing OS Settings to Win 7, I noticed I was getting an error reading "No Bottable Device -- Insert boot disk and press any key". After googling for a few hours on how to fix this I am still stumped and nothing seems to work. Has anyone had a similar issue or would know how to fix this?

    Im kind of confused with the sequence.
    Have you installed Windows 7 first then change the BIOS or You changed the BIOS first then Load Windows 7.

    Graphics display problems Lenovo G50 AMD A6 Win 8.1 Greetings to all. After having spent a number of days trying to find a solution to a display problem, I turn to this forum for help. I own a Lenovo G50 AMD A6 Win 8.1 ever since November 2014, and have had display problems ever since the first day, be it while using internet (Firefox or Explorer) or various software (Text editors, etc.). Many dialog boxes, including colour settings and controls (open, close etc.) either have an inappropriate appearance or even do not appear at all! I manage to "click" on the right places using memory: most areas are INVISIBLE! Another example would be that I do not see any backround colour or image on most webpages such as this one).  Some suggestions included checking for graphics updates (but the drivers used were already up-to-date).  I 'd be most obliged for any new suggestions. Thank you very much. George

    3/19/2015from here(http://support.lenovo.com/fr/fr/products/laptops-and-netbooks/lenovo-g-series-laptops/g50-45-notebook-lenovo/downloads/DS100174), and after REFUSING to accept cookies and some "Lenovo Service Bridge", finally managed to obtain something  HERE(http://www.notebookcheck.net/Lenovo-IdeaPad-G50-45-Notebook-Review-Update.125641.0.html).  I find it quite disrespectful to NOT provide customers with EASY support, as well as avoiding to  answer their requests for further help when some simplistic "assistance" that one can find almost anywhere on the web leads to no further solution. I shall not repeat the problems I have faced till now: vide supra. The problem, however,  is NOT just with browsers.I simply cannot see any dialog box content and colour in MANY software programs, such as OPEN OFFICE; for instance:  PRESENTATION colour dialog boxes show BLANK squares instead of squares filled with different colours. This has occured AVER SINCE DAY ONE! Finally, a new bug has appeared: Windows 8.1 keeps popping up some email program to which I am invited to register - I never created a Windows email account, and certainly don't intend to do so.NOR shall I accept some "Lenovo Service Bridge", however "discreet and inoffensive" it might be. I don't know if there are any legal grounds for customers to complain for all these problems. I DO know, however, that I shall NEVER buy a LENOVO device ever again. The pricing and processor might be competitive => yet,  the support that ensues is, as far as I'm concerned, LAMENTABLE. To make a presentation, I have to switch to a Samsung R20 using XP..... What is the meaning of all this? George    

  • Actualización windows 10 y lenovo g50 70

    Hola.
    Después de actualizar a windows 10, el laptop es incapaz de conectarse a ninguna red ni por cable ni WiFi. Los drivers parecen correctos en el administrador de dispositivos.
    Incluso me he descargado los últimos drivers desde soporte lenovo para windows 10 y mismo resultado.
    Alguna idea o solución?

    Comentas que en administrador de dispositivos todo parece estar bien, al instalar lo controladores desde la web de Lenovo has intentado antes quitar desde administrador de dispositivos lo que instalo Windows 10?.
    La WIFI llega a detectar las señales inalambricas o ni eso?.
    No pude actualizar a un mi G50-70 y ver si este problema es recurrente, intentare hacerlo hoy o mañana.

  • Lenovo G50-80 80E501E9GE - WLAN Probleme

    Hallo, ich habe mir vor Kurzem einen Lenovo G50-80 gekauft. Installiert ist das Betriebssystem Windows 8.1 (das war vorinstalliert). Ich habe von Anfang an Probleme mit dem WLAN. Immer wenn der Laptop in Energiesparmodus oder nach dem Herunterfahren, neu hochfährt, erkennt er die WLAN-Verbindung nicht, obwohl diese mit automatisch verbinden hinterlegt ist. Hier erscheint immer die Meldung Verbindung begrenzt. Erst nach Ausschalten des WLAN Routers erkennt der Laptop die Verbindung. Es kann aber definitiv nicht die Lösung sein, jedes Mal den Router neuzustarten. Ein Laptop in dieser Preisklasse sollte eine automatische Verbindung ohne Probleme drauf haben, mein alter Toshiba läuft ohne Probleme mit meinem WLAN Router. Bitte um Hilfe oder Angabe ob ich den Laptop in Reperatur geben muss. Das Programm Fehlerbehebung brachte auch keinerlei Erfolg! Grüße

    Der Vergleich mit anderen Geräten ist immer etwas vage, da das WLAN-Modul, die Treiberversion oder der Stand aller Systemdateien völlig unterschiedlich sein kann. Außerdem fällt oft die Kompatibilität zwischen Router und WLAN-Modul unterschiedlich aus.
    Im ersten Schritt würde ich den aktuellsten WLAN-Treiber von Lenovo installieren:

    Was du weiterhin testen kannst:
    - die Bandbreite des WLAN-Adapters fest auf 20 oder 40 MHz einstellen (wieder über Rechtklick auf das WLAN-Modul im Gerätemanager -> Eigenschaften -> Erweitert)
    - den Echtzeitschutz des Antivirenprogrammes testhalber einmal deaktivieren / pausieren. Eventuell ein Update durchführen oder auf ein anderes Programm auweichen.

     I can't find drivers for Windows 7x32 bit for my new Lenovo G50-30. Looks like Lenovo support doesn't have them. Am I wrong?

    Chipset:
    Intel® Chipset Device Software (INF Update Utility)
    Bluetooth:
    Bluetooth Driver (Intel, Atheros, Realtek, Broadcom)
    Camera:
    (AVC, Bison) Camera Driver
    If the  above drivers doesn't fix the unknown device under Device Manager, can you follow this guide on how to install the drivers via their Hardware ID or you may want to consider installing Windows 7 64bit (this would be best if you'll be utilizing 4GB RAM and above).

  • Windows 8.1 pro boot problems

    I upgraded my OS on a hp pavilion g6-1d73us from windows 7 home premium to windows 8.1 pro and ever since I have had boot problems. I took all the software off since I thought that might be the problem but the boot problems persist. The computer's self diagnosis helps but I still have problems. Is my laptop incompatible with windows 8.1? Windows 8.1 was a download and I still have recovery disks for windows 7. I originally thought the problem was incompatible software but now I am not sure.

    Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I am glad you have recovery disks for windows 7, smart thinking. I have looked into your issue about your HP Pavilion g6-1d73us Notebook and having issues with the Windows upgrade to 8.1. Here is a link to the drivers page for your product. I do notice there are drivers for Windows 8.The Updates you need for the system are the Chipset. These are located on the driver page link above.
    One of the things that can cause an issue is things connected USB. The computer can not load the drivers so it causes an issue. Once the machine is up to date then return the USB devices.
    Then I recommended to restore the BIOS to factory defaults.Here is a link to restore the BIOS. 
    You can do a system restore. System restore will help if something automatically updated and did not go well on the Notebook.
    Please note remove any and all USB devices. Disconnect all non-essential devices.

  • 64-bit Windows 7 on Boot Camp Problem

    I recently got my new Macbook Pro, 15" with Intel i7 inside. I installed Windows 7 64-bit in it through Boot Camp right after I got it.
    However, after installation, I found my Mac system takes far longer time to boot up than as before (Well, that "far longer" actually means around 20 seconds more than original). Some of my friends told me this could be handled if I totally remove the Windows partition and work on Mac only. However, I purchased lots of software in Windows, abandoning it would mean huge losses to me. Could anyone help me with this?
    Besides, while running Windows 7, the OS seems to be quite unstable. First, the computer gets overheated easily; second, the system crashes quite frequently - not a blue screen, but instead, everything stops running and I could not even move my mouse, like what WinXP used to do. I actually just came back from Windows 7 from that problem -- I could only press and hold the power button to shut it down before I could do anything with my computer... So sad...
    I'm running Boot Camp 3.1, so probably it's about updating the program.
    Could anyone help me? I'd be so grateful for the help. Thank you

    Thanks for your answering. I know Windows 7 could be stable, rock solid, for I've been using that OS on the laptop I once had before getting the new mac.
    I'll try to search for some new updates for my hardware later and then try if things will be better.
    Besides, I noticed that you're running Windows 7 and Mac OS X as well, do you also encounter problem of having the boot up time of Mac OS, too? I mean, it will stay longer at the point where the screen is white all over with the apple logo shown.
    In addition, I also had some problems with switching between the two OS's. When I pressed the power button on the computer, I should also press and hold "option" until Boot Camp shows up the two OS's for me to select, right? However, this worked for me before, but recently, I found it really hard to do that: when I press and hold "option", the screen will keep white, and nothing will ever show up, unless I press the power button again to shut it down... Do you have any ideas about this kind of situation?

  • Problems installing Windows 7 using Boot Camp

    I have a brand new MBP Retina laptop (late 2013) with 256GB SSD. Today I tried to use Bootcamp Assistant to partition the SSD and install Windows 7 64 bit OS.
    My first attempt was using a licensed Windows 7 64 bit installation DVD and my OWC external optical drive which is recognized in Finder:
    I started Boot Camp Assistant, selected the boxes to download latest Windows Support Software from Apple and to Install Windows 7. I was asked to specify the size for the Windows partition and hit continue. The process was moving along, the  computer restarted and then I got a black screen with a blinking white cursor (like a command line prompt) in the upper left corner of the screen and a message to press any key to reboot. Pressing any key did nothing.
    As far as I could tell, the Support Software files that were on the USB drive did get installed prior to the first reboot of the system that happens after you allocate the size for the partition. After the first reboot I never got the Windows installer though, just the hanging black screen/cursor mentioned above.
    I'm wondering if, after creating the partition and restarting, my computer can't see my external optical drive even though it does show up in Finder when booted to OSX because it was not reading the Win7 Install DVD at all.
    While on the phone with Apple Senior Tech Support we rebooted several times holding down the Alt/Option key. The boot options were the OSX, Recovery, Windows, and EFI Boot. Choosing Windows resulted in the trackpad locking up and it just hung there. I ended up reverting the SSD back to a single partition for now.
    After some discussion on the Apple forum I tried creating an ISO file from the Win7 64 bit DVD using ImgBurn software that I have installed on my Windows PC  and ImgBurn indicated it had created a bootable ISO file. I copied the ISO file to the downloads folder on the MBP, plugged the empty USB drive into the MBP and tried Boot Camp Assistant again:
    Choosing the appropriate option for use with an ISO file on a USB drive Boot Camp Assistant proceed to again create the partition, asked me to size it, and then it proceeded (over approximately an hour and a half) to work on copying the ISO file to the USB drive and downloaded the Support Software to the USB drive.
    After the restart I got another black screen, cursor, and the messages, "No bootable device/drive found", "Press any key to reboot". Again pressing any key did not do anything. I reverted back to a single partition again, rebooted to OSX and gave up for the night.
    Bottom line in either scenario is that I never get to the Windows installer screens to even attempt to install Windows on the new partition.
    QUESTIONS:
    I think in my situation it doesn't appear that ImgBurn created a bootable ISO file from my Win7 install DVD. The Apple Bootcamp Setup guide refers to downloading the ISO image from Microsoft but I couldn't find anything that I would be comfortable downloading.
    I'd rather use my installation DVD for Windows but why isn't that process of reading the DVD from the external drive working after the restart?
    Can the ISO file and Windows Support Software live on the same USB drive during installation and does the support software get installed automatically by boot camp assistant?
    What am I doing wrong here? This shouldn't be this hard especially when I own a valid copy of Windows.
    This is VERY frustrating. Any help or referrals to proper instruction is very much appreciated.

    I was able to successfully complete the installation of Windows 7 Home Premium using Boot Camp. Turns out the problem was the Windows 7 ISO image I was initially trying to use. I called Microsoft tech support and they sent me a link (see below) from which I downloaded the Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit ISO image. After downloading the ISO image and restarting Boot Camp Assistant the process of Boot Camp preparing and transferring the ISO image and Windows Support software to the USB drive took about 45 minutes and then everything went smoothly from there. The only thing I encountered was when I was asked what drive to install Windows on I got a message that it couldn't install on the Boot Camp drive because it needed to be in NTFS format. I clicked on the format button and then the process continued. After Windows installed the Windows Support Software from Apple started to install automatically. So far it is working well.

  • GX623 Windows 7 boot problem

    Hi guys, i recently have to reinstall OS on my laptop, and now i am facing "really long boot" problem, all drivers are correctly installed (at least i think so), i am fighting with this problem hole day, so i am pretty mad and tired right now, hope you can give me some advice

    i already reinstalled windows seven 3 times today, i tried to update bios to the latest version, even re-flash EC, all with no change :(
    to describe this problem, bios post goes OK, no errors, all fast and smooth, as soon i see windows logo animating on my screen my HDD "stops" working (there is no hdd activity for a long period of time) well that can be seen on trace, and then after 90 seconds (at least trace shows that) it starts booting like before, system loads, and everything is working as it should
