Lenovo G500 black screen (lenovo logo)

Hello,  I have lenovo g 500 (laptop) and everything was fine until today when start my laptop i see black screen with lenovo logo (white color) link: imgur.com/tzWMuwII have tired to remove the battery with/without power cord but still same.  Lenovo G500Model name: 20236 Thanks for help!

Lenovo tech support is similar to Microsofts.Pretty useless. Even when you pay each money for help they point the finger at each other. If it was not so disgusting it would be laughable. At some point i hope a tech center is hit with a power outage that last a few decades so people will **bleep** can the garbage you sell and go else where. I repair computers for people daily. Most are failry stright foward problems.Unless its a Lenovo. Then its a nightmare. No wonder the local business people refuse to even take one in to work on.Of course writing this will do zero.About the same as spending money on Lenovo products and support

    Hi aryaamehr,
During boot-up, if pressing Fn+F2 does allow you to access the BIOS, can you try to:
    1. Remove the AC adapter and battery then press the power button for 20secs.
    2. Reconnect the AC adapter without putting the battery back in and press the One Key recovery button If a menu appears, choose BIOS Setup

  • Lenovo G500 Black Screen

I am fully aware that there are many threads similar to this one, but i have yet to find one that solves my problem.
I have a 3 month old Lenovo G500, with windows 8 installed on it. I recently tried to use it after leaving it closed,  probably on energy saver mode..Unfortunately the screen will not turn on, even thugh it can connect to a outside monitor just fine. I have tried removing the battery, installing varius drivers and holding the start button in for a decent length of time. Is there anything i can do to fix this, any mistake i am making, as i really need my laptop for university.
Apologies for any inconveniances and i appreciate your time.

Hi, try to unplug all energy sources (battery and AC adapter) and then hold start button for 30 seconds or more. After that plug only AC adpater and then turn it on. That procedure helped me, and maybe for you will be also useful, Try it several times. You can try also restart it several times with outside monitor plugged in,this also worked for mine

You are in Recovery Mode. Follow the instructions below to recover your iPad.
    1. Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
    2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
If you cannot turn off the device using the slider, press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. When the device turns off, release the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons.
    3. While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
    4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears, release the Home button.
    5. iTunes should alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then click Restore to restore the device.
Note: You need to be patient and repeat the above many times to recover your iPad. Data will be lost.

    please help

I had a similar problem on a Yoga 3 Pro and no matter what I did, it did not work. So I tried a tool that I have had other people run as a malware repair, and it fixed it right up. But I did not write down what the error was. I do not know if this will fix your problem.
The tool is called Windows Repair (All In One) If you want to give it a try, the instructions are below.
Download Portable Windows Repair (all in one) from one of the following:
    http://www.tweaking.com/content/page/windows_repair_all_in_one.html
    http://www.majorgeeks.com/Tweaking.com_-_Windows_Repair_Portable_d7222.html
    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/windows-repair-all-in-one-portable/
Unzip the contents into a newly created folder on your desktop. Make sure your AV protection is turned OFF before running the tool....
Open the folder, run the tool by right click on Repair_Windows (icon with red briefcase) select "Run as Administrator"
From the main GUI do the following:
Select Tab 3 and allow it to run Disk check
Select Tab 4 and allow it to run SFC
Select Tab 5 and Create System Restore Point
Select Start Repairs tab => Click the Start
The repairs window will open, uncheck the boxes as indicated, also the "Restart" option, then select Start...
DON'T use the computer while each scan is in progress.

  • Lenovo c365 black screen

Hi this is my first post and I need help. I have had my computer about 11 months now but I have switched it on this evening and it has just come up with a black screen after logging on and won't let me do anything. Please help many thanks Martin

    hi Claretblue32,
    Welcome to the Forums.
If you get a black screen after you type your password on the Windows login screen and you have installed a 3rd party software (eg. PC Cleanup tools) before this happened then it's likely that you have a malware infection.
    To verify, try the following:
    1.  On the black screem, press Ctrl+Shift+Esc. If the Task Manager opens, check the Processes tab if you have apps that says Search Protect, Vosteran, or Run Once Wrapper and hit End Process.
If this works, the desktop should appear and you can run antimalware utilities (eg. Malwarebytes) to clean the system.
    2. If pressing Ctrl+Shift+Esc doesn't open Task Manager, do a hard restart and on the Windows login screen, hold the Shift Key and click the power button at the lower right hand side then choose Restart. If successful, you should see the PBR mode screen.

From here, you can boot in Safe Mode, or perform a System Restore / Refresh or Reset to isolate the issue.

  • Lenovo G570 black screen on boot

One day, I tried booting my G570 and then this happened : All I saw was a black screen. I heard the hardrive sounds and bootup sounds, no beeps. I tried all of the fancy stuff like that taking out the battery and ac adapter thing and plugging it into a monitor, but that's it. Now I'm wondering if it's the graphics card, and if so, is it easy to replace? And if not, what IS the issue?
    EDIT : Read 3rd comment, a reply :
When the monitor says "Going to Sleep" maybe it means it's stuck in sleep mode, if it's THAT... How do I get it to go in full fleged on mode?
PS : All of us Canadians don't say "eh" any more then you Americans!

    Hi  Cookie2
    Thanks for the reply.
As you have mentioned that there is no display even in external monitor hence this might be an issue with the motherboard, hence suggest you to visit the nearest service center for further details.
Click here to open a link where you can select the country and get the exact contact support number. I’m sure
they will be a great help.
Hope this helps. Do post back if the issue persists!
    Best regards,

  • Ipad 4 updating to ios 8.1 - stuck on black screen with logo no progress bar

So, I downloaded the update for 8.1 on my ipad 4 and trying to install it and I notice it is just the black screen with apple logo. There is no progress bar. Occasionally the ipad screen shuts itself off and then back on. It almost seems like it is working but without a progress bar. Though, I am worried as it has been about an hour or so now and I do not have the slightest clue what is going on.

It appears that the download might be corrupt. But try resetting the iPad and it might resume the download and install of the IOS. Hold down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time until the Apple logo appears on the screen, when the device restarts, maybe the update will resume.
However, if you continue to experience what you are experiencing, try restoring using recovery mode.

  • Black screen with logo

When I go to www.acrobat.com, and pick any button on the
screen other than "Adobe Connect Now", I get a black screen with
the acrobat.com logo in the middle.

I am experiencing a similar issue as DNAPrimer with my
    configuration, i.e.:
    OS:
    Microsoft Windows 2000
    Version 5.0 (Build 2195: Service Pack 4)
    BROWSER:
    Microsoft Internet Explorer
    Version 6.0.2800.1106 (Service Pack 1)
    FLASH PLAYER:
    Version 10.0.12.36
(A month or so ago, Buzzword (for example) *did* work. Now
after filling in the Adobe® Buzzword® sign in box, it
displays: "Signing in..." and then I get a totally black browser
window with the following URL displayed in the address area:
    https://buzzword.acrobat.com/#o
Refreshing the screen does not help.
Trying to go "back" (Alt+left arrow a couple of times) brings
up the word "Launching..." but then the black screen recurs.
    Edit (addenda):
I can still access Buzzword on a
coworker's computer which has the following configuration:
    OS:
    Microsoft Windows XP
    Version 5.1 (Build 2600.xpsp_sp3_gdr.080814-1236 : Service
    Pack 3)
    BROWSER:
    Microsoft Internet Explorer, version 7.05730.11
    FLASH PLAYER:
    Version 9.0.115.0
I also noted that after Buzzword connects on my coworker's
computer, the following text appears in the browser's "information
bar" above the Buzzword window: "This website wants to run the
following add-on: 'Microsoft (R) Script Runtime' from 'Microsoft
Corporation'. If you trust the website and the add-on and want to
allow it to run, click here..."
By the way (back on my Windows 2000 pc), I noticed that the
"privacy report" blocked a couple of cookies when I got to the
    Adobe® Buzzword® Sign in screen:
    1) https://www.adobe.com/uber/js/omniture_s_code.js
    2) https://sstats.adobe.com/b/ss/mxmacromedia,... (this is a
    very long URL)
Also, if I right click on the window when the "black screen"
appears after signing in, I see the grayed out words "Movie not
loaded..." and below that the available choice "About Adobe Flash
Player 10." I think I had Adobe Flash Player 9 installed when
    Buzzword
used to work, but then I upgraded to Adobe Flash Player 10
because of the vulnerabilities discovered in the earlier
    versions.)

  • Black Screen (no logo) then flashing white screen then a greyish screen and never comes on.

I left my iPod in my room for a few hours while it played my music. When I came back i assumed the battery so I charged it. Checked on it again and the ipod displayed a blank white screen. I looked up online how to reset/reboot it and tried it my self, but that didnt work. What happend next was that the ipod dispayed the black screen but no Apple logo. So i tried the reset/reboot process again then the screen flashed a white screen about 3 times then changed to a grey color. But cant access anything. What should I do.

If it is still charging, connect it to the adapter for 15min, then connect to your computer in recovery mode, explained here: iPhone and iPod touch: Unable to restore
