Lenovo G500 graphic drivers issue

My Laptop's specs:
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3612QM CPU @ 2.10GHz , 2.10GHz
RAM: 6,00 GB RAM
DirectX Version: DirectX 11
Video Card 1:Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000
Video Card 2:AMD Radeon HD 8570M
System: Windows 8.1 64-bit
I went through this topics:
https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Lenovo-3000-and-Essential/Lenovo-G500-graphics-card/td-p/1365163
https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Lenovo-3000-and-Essential/Lenovo-G500-radeon-problem/m-p/1248449#M47404
So I uninstaled the AMD Driver from Device Menager making sure i check the checkbox.
I downloaded the driver from:
http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/mobile?os=Windows%208.1%20-%2064
and I was told by AMD Catalyst Install Manager that it "Failed to load detection driver".
I also read that it might be somehow blocked by antyvirus, though i see non runing at my laptop...
And the Log from AMD Catalyst Install Manager:
Existing packages:
PX Profil Update
OEM Application Profiles
AMD APP SDK Runtime
AMD Display Driver
Enable Aero
AMD Accelerated Video Transcording
Cataclyst Control Center
Other detected drivers

Failed to load detection driver

hi kiranhaardy,
For units with switchable graphics (Intel + AMD), it's normal for dxdiag to show the Intel HD Graphics as it's the primary GPU that the system uses before it switches to the AMD Graphics.
The several errors that you saw on the Intel HD Graphics might explain the flickering issue that you have as this indicates video memory errors. I recommend that you report these findings by contacting lenovo as you may need to send the unit for service.

• Lenovo G570 Graphics drivers issue

Hi there,
I have recently re-installed my G570 with Win7 and i see the screen resolution is supported at the max. 1024x768. Is it the Maximum?
I installed these 2 drivers from lenovo site but not getting option of Graphic poperties & Graphics option when right click on desktop.
1. IN1CHP36WW5 - Intel Chipset driver
2. IN2VDO68WW6 - Intel Onboard Graphics Driver
Is there any driver or setting i am missing here? Below are the screenshot of drivers i installed and the options getting after that.
Drivers Installed:
Resolution getting:

Thanks

hi aadishivan,
Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!
On this Screen shot the you provided
It is saying "Standard VGA Adapter"
I think that the system is not taking the drivers that's why your getting minimal performance from the Graphics Adapter.
Can you shar a screenshot of your Device Manager with the Display adapter open,
Also Get the Hardware Id of the Display adapter device under Device Manager as well
Because it may be that the Graphics you have is not an Intel but an AMD which this driver should work
     AMD Video Driver

• Lenovo G500 Graphic card problem

Hello
I have bought brand new Lenovo G500 (Intel(R) Pentium(R) CPU 2020M @ 2.40 GHz 2.40 AMD Radeon HD8570mGHz 8GB Ram) without system in it. I installed Windows 7 Ultimate here, and I cant install graphic card.
I downloaded AMD drivers and when I turn on my notebook again, in manager graphic card  is off, because of error 43.
Can I ask for fast reply ? I'm keep fighting with it 2 days in row.

Does the computer feel overly warm when the errors occur? If so the Video Card may be overheating, or have a hardware issue. If your notebook is under warranty - would suggest contacting Lenovo Support directly for service.

• Lenovo g500 graphics card problem

Hi,
I have Lenovo G500 with I3-3110M and dedicated HD8750M.
The problem is that inside the game (lets say Skyrim) the HD8750M is working but somehow not well enough - low fps.
The problem is there since I reinstalled my notebook (from win8.1 to the same win8.1) and on older instalation everything worked just fine. When I install driver from amd.com, game starts, fps are great but the screen is flickering. With driver from lenovo.com fps are terrible.
I tried to reinstall both driver for both graphics and ran your video test which says everythig is ok.
Thank you for your help.

• Graphic Drivers Issue- All-in-one PC

I have an All-in-one Compaq Presario CQ 1-1006L and I'm failing to play most 3-d games (eq Call of Duty Mordern Warfare 4) . I tried upgrading the graphic drivers and they're all up to date but still not working. Is it possible to change the Video card or to do anything to have the computer play such games. or it's a complete waste of time? What can i do to upgrade this particular computer if possible?
Thank you

Hello Elton_Phiri,
Welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience! To help you get the most out of the HP Forums I would like to direct your attention to the HP Forums Guide First Time Here? Learn How to Post and More.
I understand that you are having difficulty playing 3d Games on your Compaq Presario All-in-One CQ1-1006L Desktop PC. I cannot find anything that indicates that your integrated graphics chip in your computer supports 3D so this is probably why you are having issues. You motherboard on the other hand does have two PCI Express x1 mini card sockets that you could use to install a separate graphics card that does support 3D graphics. It may require shopping around and I would advise you to keep in mind the power requirements  cannot exceed your 65watt power supply without you having to replace that as well.
I hope I have answered your question to your satisfaction. Thank you for posting on the HP Forums. Have a great day!

• Lenovo z5070 graphics card issue 'nvidia'

i bought a new laptop .. i have windows 8.1 ... Z5070 - Graphics cards issue (Unable to play heavy graphic games. Nvidia Card) Z5070 with Nvidia Graphic card is having problem when playing high graphic games. The Nvidia graphic card is not detected and it is only using the Intel Graphic card.i install latest updates for everything.what is the problem pllz i want to play games

Hi abdallah650, By default the graphic cards used by computer are switched automatically, depend of application to run. You can check and change this for each application in NVidia Control Panel - 3D settings.
Also you can run each application with right click on it and choose the prefered graphic card. Read this article: switching between Intel and NVidia graphics and here.  I hope that will help you.

• Satellite C660-1KW - graphic drivers issue

Hi,
I cant find graphic drivers for my tosh. I try search it on intel site but they send me here
plz help

*@mumoftwins*
> I think I need this update for my Satellite C660-1LD as I'm having problems running certain programs.
There is no big difference between the version 8.15.10.2353 and 8.15.10.2189 and therefor I doubt the installed driver might be the reason why you have problems running certain programs.
> Should I be saving the new version somewhere specifically or does it instinctively know where to go (can you tell I'm not very techy?)
Download the package, save it somewhere on the HDD (I prefer desktop), unzip the package (you can use software like WinRAR or WinZip) and then run the setup or install exe
Follow the instruction on the screen and then reboot the notebook. Now the driver should be updated.

• Lenovo G500 graphic card driver

Hello everyone!
I recently bought a Ideapad g500 with the following specs:
Intel® CoreTM i7 3632QM
6gb ram
1TB HDD
HD 8570M Radeon
I installed a Win7 64 Bit, but have trouble with the ati radeon card. After hours of trying everything I found on the net (including a similar topic here on lenovo forum) I installed the beta drivers and they were the only ones that got the card installed (the rest ahd trouble even installing CCC) If I right click and go to Switchable Graphics I cannot add another game I want to run and use the card. I can play most games on medium but one in particular works great but game crashes after 1 minute, even though i try to make the radeon card to be used. I installed a GPU meter but its always 0%. I think the radeon card isnt being used even with my setting because it never spikes or anything, and the games are not very high spec (League of Legends, Star Wars Online). I dont know what to do anymore. Switchable graphics is enabled in BIOS. The lenovo graphics driver does not even install CCC. I've even made a fresh Windows install, same problem. Game freezez, makes a horrible sound, I have to restart the laptop. It seems similar like crashes I got from my old laptop when trying games with far larger system needs, so I think the dedicated graphics card isn't used.
Please help me, its ruining my weekend .
Thank you in advance!
Later Edit: the so called "avga110w7.exe" drivers listed on the models driver page here on lenovo does not work correctly.

Hi Reluarea,
Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!
I’m sorry to hear that your G500 Laptop is crashing even after installing the graphic driver and selecting the GPU as the default usable hardware. Below is the link to automatically scan the computer and install the latest driver for the computer and a link to check the Game compatibility before playing it:
AMD Driver Autodetect
Game Compatibility Check
Do post us back if the issue still persists.

• Lenovo g500 graphics card cost

just wanna know how much will it cost to have a replacemet of the integrated graphics chip (amd radeon 8500m) ?????

If your GPU is working while you game then I believe you should be on the safe side, no it is not normal but it should not be much of an issue.
Lenovo has not yet released the Windows 8.1 driver for your AMD 8750M GPU and you are right now running the windows 8 drivers so you should be ok

• Lenovo G500s Hard Drive Issue (I think)

OK so dropped my laptop from a heigh of around 10cm the other day, laptop seemed fine and worked fine all evening. Then the day after I come to the laptop its constantly freezing after 4 or so minutes of use. So appears fine then boom its done laptop freezes and I have to restart the PC. I did a Lenovo solution centre check thing and looks like my hard drive could be the issue, wondering if anybody can confirm? I'm guessing it's going to need a new hard drive at the very least (not too bad at £30 on amazon). Lenovo centre resulted in the below (which I assume is the same as a chkdsk?)Targeted Read Test - FailedSMART short self - test - FailedSMART drive self - test - Failed Hard drive is a Seagate ST500LT012. Bit annoyed that such a slght drop resulted in failure tbh. Cheers

Dropping a notebook or laptop when on will damage running (spinning) components, loosen heatsinks and more. Would suggest backing up data and creating restore disks ASAP.
Also - I would suggest using Seagate drives they have a good reputation and high quality right now.
Good luck.

• Lenovo G500 WIndows 10 drivers

Tomorrow Windows 10 will be released. I want to upgrade from Windows 8.1, but the Lenovo G500's drivers for Windows 10 aren't released yet. Will be the drivers released tomorrow or Lenovo G500 will not receive update for drivers ?

Hi IRazvan, welcome to the forum.
Here is the Lenovo Windows 10 supported device list:

• Issues with Lenovo g500

Hello,
I have been using Lenovo g500 for about a year now but last week there was some problem with my laptop and I had to restore windows using Lenovo's restore button. The windows restores just fine and I was able to update to Windows 8.1 althought all my data in C drive got wiped.
But now my laptop won't connect to any bluetooth device. Whenever I go to PC settings, it just says "searching for bluetooth devide but it never detects my phone or any other bluetooth devide.
Also, since my data got wiped, I have to install the drivers for my printer again but this laptop won't even recognize the CD!! It won't recognize ANY CD.
And the Lenovo Veriface won't work either now
I've searched and searched for these issues. I re-installed bluetooth drivers and lenovo veriface but they still don't work. And the bluetooth drivers never got deleted from my laptop since they were installed in Drive D but they don't.
Someone please help me I really need to print some documents but this laptop won't install my printers drivers.
Solved!
Go to Solution.

Make sure you download updated drivers from Lenovo Support section. Select only drivers supported by Windows 8.1, reboot system when needed. Once drivers installed, shut down the notebook, then power up again. May take several power on/off cycles to restore drivers to full functionality.
Printer drivers may not be Windows 8.1 compatible, if on CD. I would suggest downloading latest drivers from printer manufacture website.
Good luck.

• WIN XP Pro on Lenovo G500 - Drivers - Energy Management

I bought a new G500 and asked the vendor to install WIN XP SP3 PRO - 32 bit from my existing disc.
The vendor installed it, but it is not working perfectly.
The Device Manager shows a few items - such as:
(01.) ACPI/VPC2004 and
(02.) Network Controller (Device ID being PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_0032&SUBSYS_32187AA)
(03.) Bluetooth USB Host Controller
as unknown items.
Regarding the  (01.) ACPI/VPC2004 the following Lenovo Support page
http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/diagnose-and-fix/detail.page?DocID=HT071645
says to download and install Energy Management with proper Operating System. The said page also contains a link, but that link leads to another page:
http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/detail.page?LegacyDocID=DRVR-MATRIX
Here, on the new page, I just can not figure out where to go or what to do.
Can anybody please guide this oldman how to install WIN XP SP 3 Pro - 32 bit on my new G500? What are the drivers required for installationof WIN XP SP 3 Pro - 32 bit and where from to download them (if possible with links to download pages), and a guide about the sequence for driver installation, i.e. which driver to install first (after installation of WIN XP) and which one at the last of the process, so that I can install the same.
Thanks in advance

Just to add to the knowledge base: I've been installing Windows XP SP3, 32-bit edition on a Lenovo G500; my findings so far follow. I haven't tested 64-bit. To determine of your system is 32-bit or 64-bit, see: http://www.intel.com/support/wireless/wlan/sb/CS-032028.htm
Ethernet Controller
The driver at the touslesdrivers link for the G500 Network Controller (hard-wired ethernet) posted by damon007 worked on my machine (G500 purchased Dec 2013). Here's the link again for reference:
http://www.touslesdrivers.com/index.php?v_page=23&v_code=34891
Device manager now lists the device as:
Qualcomm Atheros AR8162/8166/8168 PCI-E Fast Ethernet Controller
Wi-fi, Bluetooth
My machine has the following combination wi-fi and bluetooth card by Intel:
Intel Centrino Wireless-N 135
The following Windows XP wi-fi driver worked for me:

• Lenovo G500 No WIndows 10 drivers

I have a Lenovo G500 I5. I bought it at the beginning of last year(2014).I read on one of your forums that you will not be updating the G500's drivers to be compatable with Windows 10.Is this true?If this is not true, I would like to know when it will be available? If this is true; i politely suggest that you change your tune very quickly!!!If this is the kind of after sale service one can expect from Lenovo then i do not know how you have remained in business this long???Please inform me when you make the drivers available as I cannot reconcile myself with the fact that Lenovo will maintain this position. If Lenovo does not update the drivers, I will discontinue my support of your product!

yeah mee too ... suffering from it .... thinking of returning my lenovo g500 and go for dell lappys :]
