Lenovo G500 WIndows 10 drivers

Tomorrow Windows 10 will be released. I want to upgrade from Windows 8.1, but the Lenovo G500's drivers for Windows 10 aren't released yet. Will be the drivers released tomorrow or Lenovo G500 will not receive update for drivers ?

Hi IRazvan, welcome to the forum.
Here is the Lenovo Windows 10 supported device list:
https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/documents/ht103535
Unfortunately, I don't see the G500 on this list, which means there will be no additional drivers released for that device.
Edit: Also check out this support doc:

    hi kiranhaardy,
For units with switchable graphics (Intel + AMD), it's normal for dxdiag to show the Intel HD Graphics as it's the primary GPU that the system uses before it switches to the AMD Graphics.
The several errors that you saw on the Intel HD Graphics might explain the flickering issue that you have as this indicates video memory errors. I recommend that you report these findings by contacting lenovo as you may need to send the unit for service.

  • Lenovo G500 Windows 7 AMD radeon Driver

Hello i have recently installed Windows 7 in my Lenovo G500 but i cant seem to find The AMD radeon driver anywhere..please help.

Yes, it is either 5.0.1 or 5.0.2, not sure which.
But it would likely require you purchase Mountain Lion to upgrade. But you can update to 10.7.5 for free to see what you get.
    Upgrading to Mountain Lion
To upgrade to Mountain Lion you must have Snow Leopard 10.6.8 or Lion installed. Purchase and download Mountain Lion from the App Store. Sign in using your Apple ID. Mountain Lion is $19.99 plus tax. The file is quite large, over 4 GBs, so allow some time to download. It would be preferable to use Ethernet because it is nearly four times faster than wireless.
OS X Mountain Lion - System Requirements
Macs that can be upgraded to OS X Mountain Lion
             1. iMac (Mid 2007 or newer) - Model Identifier 7,1 or later
             2. MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer) - Model Identifier 5,1 or later
             3. MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer) - Model Identifier 3,1 or later
             4. MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer) - Model Identifier 2,1 or later
             5. Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer) - Model Identifier 3,1 or later
             6. Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer) - Model Identifier 3,1 or later
             7. Xserve (Early 2009) - Model Identifier 3,1 or later
To find the model identifier open System Profiler in the Utilities folder. It's displayed in the panel on the right.
         Are my applications compatible?
See App Compatibility Table - RoaringApps.
For a complete How-To introduction from Apple see Upgrade to OS X Mountain Lion.

  • Lenovo g500 windows 10 problem?

    >>> Moved to the proper forum

    Good day.
The G500 is not currently included in the system compatibility list: https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/documents/ht103535
You should keep an eye on that list as it is being updated fairly regularly.
If / when drivers become available, you should be able to find them in your system's support pages:
    http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/lenovo-g-series-laptops/lenovo-g500-notebook
    Hope this helps a bit.

  • Lenovo G500 No WIndows 10 drivers

I have a Lenovo G500 I5. I bought it at the beginning of last year(2014).I read on one of your forums that you will not be updating the G500's drivers to be compatable with Windows 10.Is this true?If this is not true, I would like to know when it will be available? If this is true; i politely suggest that you change your tune very quickly!!!If this is the kind of after sale service one can expect from Lenovo then i do not know how you have remained in business this long???Please inform me when you make the drivers available as I cannot reconcile myself with the fact that Lenovo will maintain this position. If Lenovo does not update the drivers, I will discontinue my support of your product!

  • WIN XP Pro on Lenovo G500 - Drivers - Energy Management

I bought a new G500 and asked the vendor to install WIN XP SP3 PRO - 32 bit from my existing disc.
The vendor installed it, but it is not working perfectly.
The Device Manager shows a few items - such as:
    (01.) ACPI/VPC2004 and
(02.) Network Controller (Device ID being PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_0032&SUBSYS_32187AA)
    (03.) Bluetooth USB Host Controller
    as unknown items.
Regarding the  (01.) ACPI/VPC2004 the following Lenovo Support page
    http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/diagnose-and-fix/detail.page?DocID=HT071645
says to download and install Energy Management with proper Operating System. The said page also contains a link, but that link leads to another page:
    http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/detail.page?LegacyDocID=DRVR-MATRIX
Here, on the new page, I just can not figure out where to go or what to do.
Can anybody please guide this oldman how to install WIN XP SP 3 Pro - 32 bit on my new G500? What are the drivers required for installationof WIN XP SP 3 Pro - 32 bit and where from to download them (if possible with links to download pages), and a guide about the sequence for driver installation, i.e. which driver to install first (after installation of WIN XP) and which one at the last of the process, so that I can install the same.
    Thanks in advance

Just to add to the knowledge base: I've been installing Windows XP SP3, 32-bit edition on a Lenovo G500; my findings so far follow. I haven't tested 64-bit. To determine of your system is 32-bit or 64-bit, see: http://www.intel.com/support/wireless/wlan/sb/CS-032028.htm
    Ethernet Controller
The driver at the touslesdrivers link for the G500 Network Controller (hard-wired ethernet) posted by damon007 worked on my machine (G500 purchased Dec 2013). Here's the link again for reference:
    http://www.touslesdrivers.com/index.php?v_page=23&v_code=34891
Device manager now lists the device as:
Qualcomm Atheros AR8162/8166/8168 PCI-E Fast Ethernet Controller
    Wi-fi, Bluetooth
My machine has the following combination wi-fi and bluetooth card by Intel:
    Intel Centrino Wireless-N 135

  • Lenovo G500S Touch (WIndows 8) Drops Wireless

I am having problems with my new Lenovo G500S Touch with Windows 8 where it drops my wireless connection.  I have other laptops (Windows 7 and 8) and these are all fine.  I have worked with Lenovo support since 8/7 with no resolution and was sent to Advanced Support and now they expect me to pay for assistance!!! They say it's a software issue but have not proven it's a software issue.
    I have updated the drivers
I have made sure all of the Power Options are set to Maximum
I have gone through numerous posts on Wireless Connectivity issue and Windows 8 to no avail.
Any assistance from this group would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you in advance

    hi mmckenerick,
    Welcome to the Forums.
Your issue might be similar to this thread.
If you have already updated the wifi drivers, booted in Safe mode with networking and yet to no avail, It's possible that the wi-fi cable connectors are loose and causes the wifi signal to drop.
    Try to:
    1. Turn the computer OFF and remove the AC adapter and battery.
    2. Re-seat the wi-fi cable connectors (see page 44 of the hardware maintenance manual).
    3. Re-insert the AC adapter and battery, then the computer ON, boot into Windows and observe the wi-fi connection.
    Let me know your findings

I don't have a similar machine to look at so this is a bit of a guess:
Per page 30 or your user's guide http://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mobiles_pub/lenovo_g400sg400stouchg500sg500stouchg405sg505s_ug_e...:
How can I start the BIOS setup utility?
To start the BIOS setup utility:
    1 Shut down the computer.
2 Press the Novo button and then select BIOS Setup
There should be a tab labelled something like "Configuration" and on that page something like "SATA controller mode".  Select "compatible" and save and exit.
I'm not certain this will fix your problem, but it's worth a try.

    Welcome to the Lenovo forums!
    YES,
I would consider as my first step on throubleshooting this.

  • Booting for the first time in my Lenovo G500

    Hi everyone!
I'm trying to boot for the first time in my Lenovo G500. It starts with the logo of lenovo and then it goes to a black screen and it is saying that is loading FreeDOS and is asking to enter a new date, new time and then it says C:/> and nothing happens.
I put in the cd with Windows 8 drivers but i can't make it boot from the cd/dvd.
    Anyone can help?
    Thanks!

    Hi Stathesp,
    Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!
I’m sorry to hear that your G500 Laptop is booting to Black screen, I suggest you to change the Boot priority of CD/DVD drive 1st and HDD (Hard Disc Drive) to 2nd, below are the steps to access BIOS:
Turn OFF the computer and then click on NOVO button which is located at the left side of the computer.
Then under Boot tab change the CD/DVD as 1st boot and HDD to 2nd device.
Now press “F10” Key to save the changes, the computer will automatically restart.
Then check inserting the Disc and check the issue.
Do post us back if the issue still persists.
    Best Regards
    Shiva Kumar

  • Lenovo G500 Black Screen

I am fully aware that there are many threads similar to this one, but i have yet to find one that solves my problem.
I have a 3 month old Lenovo G500, with windows 8 installed on it. I recently tried to use it after leaving it closed,  probably on energy saver mode..Unfortunately the screen will not turn on, even thugh it can connect to a outside monitor just fine. I have tried removing the battery, installing varius drivers and holding the start button in for a decent length of time. Is there anything i can do to fix this, any mistake i am making, as i really need my laptop for university.
Apologies for any inconveniances and i appreciate your time.

Hi, try to unplug all energy sources (battery and AC adapter) and then hold start button for 30 seconds or more. After that plug only AC adpater and then turn it on. That procedure helped me, and maybe for you will be also useful, Try it several times. You can try also restart it several times with outside monitor plugged in,this also worked for mine

  • Issues with Lenovo g500

    Hello,
I have been using Lenovo g500 for about a year now but last week there was some problem with my laptop and I had to restore windows using Lenovo's restore button. The windows restores just fine and I was able to update to Windows 8.1 althought all my data in C drive got wiped.
But now my laptop won't connect to any bluetooth device. Whenever I go to PC settings, it just says "searching for bluetooth devide but it never detects my phone or any other bluetooth devide.
Also, since my data got wiped, I have to install the drivers for my printer again but this laptop won't even recognize the CD!! It won't recognize ANY CD.
And the Lenovo Veriface won't work either now
I've searched and searched for these issues. I re-installed bluetooth drivers and lenovo veriface but they still don't work. And the bluetooth drivers never got deleted from my laptop since they were installed in Drive D but they don't.
Someone please help me I really need to print some documents but this laptop won't install my printers drivers.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Make sure you download updated drivers from Lenovo Support section. Select only drivers supported by Windows 8.1, reboot system when needed. Once drivers installed, shut down the notebook, then power up again. May take several power on/off cycles to restore drivers to full functionality.
Printer drivers may not be Windows 8.1 compatible, if on CD. I would suggest downloading latest drivers from printer manufacture website.
    Good luck.

  • Lenovo G500 Graphic card problem

    Hello
I have bought brand new Lenovo G500 (Intel(R) Pentium(R) CPU 2020M @ 2.40 GHz 2.40 AMD Radeon HD8570mGHz 8GB Ram) without system in it. I installed Windows 7 Ultimate here, and I cant install graphic card.
I downloaded AMD drivers and when I turn on my notebook again, in manager graphic card  is off, because of error 43.
Can I ask for fast reply ? I'm keep fighting with it 2 days in row.

Does the computer feel overly warm when the errors occur? If so the Video Card may be overheating, or have a hardware issue. If your notebook is under warranty - would suggest contacting Lenovo Support directly for service.
