Lenovo G500S Touch (WIndows 8) Drops Wireless

I am having problems with my new Lenovo G500S Touch with Windows 8 where it drops my wireless connection. I have other laptops (Windows 7 and 8) and these are all fine. I have worked with Lenovo support since 8/7 with no resolution and was sent to Advanced Support and now they expect me to pay for assistance!!! They say it's a software issue but have not proven it's a software issue.
I have updated the drivers
I have made sure all of the Power Options are set to Maximum
I have gone through numerous posts on Wireless Connectivity issue and Windows 8 to no avail.
Any assistance from this group would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the Forums.
Your issue might be similar to this thread.
If you have already updated the wifi drivers, booted in Safe mode with networking and yet to no avail, It's possible that the wi-fi cable connectors are loose and causes the wifi signal to drop.
Try to:
1. Turn the computer OFF and remove the AC adapter and battery.
2. Re-seat the wi-fi cable connectors (see page 44 of the hardware maintenance manual).
3. Re-insert the AC adapter and battery, then the computer ON, boot into Windows and observe the wi-fi connection.

So im currently running Windows 8.1 on my Lenovo G400s Touch laptop.. im planning to clean install Windows 10 rather than upgrading so i can format my laptop as well.. but my problem is the drivers provided by Lenovo Driver Support is only in Windows 8.1 ... maybe i can request drivers for windows 10 so i can continue installing windows 10 in my laptop..Calling some Lenovo authorities here..

I bought it at the beginning of last year(2014).I read on one of your forums that you will not be updating the G500's drivers to be compatable with Windows 10.Is this true?If this is not true, I would like to know when it will be available? If this is true; i politely suggest that you change your tune very quickly!!!If this is the kind of after sale service one can expect from Lenovo then i do not know how you have remained in business this long???Please inform me when you make the drivers available as I cannot reconcile myself with the fact that Lenovo will maintain this position. Lenovo G500s Touch

I have had this computer for only 2 weeks, and I have not figured out how to fix it. I cannot download apps from my app store, and my computer will not let me get on Facebook.
Anyoone have any ideas on how to fix?

What are you getting when you try to download an APP
Is there an Error? at what part are you having prblem when you try downloading an APP,
After you selct an APP or When you launch the store.
Is there an error when you Launch Facebook?
What browser are you using.
Are other Website ok.
Check your set Time and Time Zone make sure they are correct,

G500S Touch monitor is not working

I just bought a Lenovo G500s touch and the touch-screen initially worked though I had rebooted a few times after the screen appeared to freeze. Now you cannot use the touch-screen at all and I don't know where to turn for help. Does anyone have any ideas?

Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!
Can you try opening Device Manager and Open the "Human Interface Device"
Try to uninstall All the Entry that starts with "HID-"
Note: Some HID- Device will ask for a Restart when uninstalled just select "Restart Later"
And make sure before doing a restart all of the HID device are uninstalled.
Once Done, Restart the system and Check if that resolved it.

Lenovo G500 Black Screen

I am fully aware that there are many threads similar to this one, but i have yet to find one that solves my problem.
I have a 3 month old Lenovo G500, with windows 8 installed on it. I recently tried to use it after leaving it closed, probably on energy saver mode..Unfortunately the screen will not turn on, even thugh it can connect to a outside monitor just fine. I have tried removing the battery, installing varius drivers and holding the start button in for a decent length of time. Is there anything i can do to fix this, any mistake i am making, as i really need my laptop for university.

Hi, try to unplug all energy sources (battery and AC adapter) and then hold start button for 30 seconds or more. After that plug only AC adpater and then turn it on. That procedure helped me, and maybe for you will be also useful, Try it several times. You can try also restart it several times with outside monitor plugged in,this also worked for mine

Critical Hard Disk Free Space Error on Lenovo G500 after upgrading from Win8 to Win8.1

I encountered an error with my harddrive after upgrading my Lenovo G500 from Windows 8 to Windows 8.1. The error is coming up under the Lenovo Solution Center. The error reads "Some partition in your hard drive has less than 9.5% of its capacities. It suggests to click on Fix Options; System; Storage Devices. Then it displays Internal Hard Drive ST1000LM024 HN-M101MBB.The solution center now displays 8 different partitions labled as follows:

I got an error when i tried disk repair ("the underlying task reported failure on exit - 1 HFS volume could not be repaired, 1 volume could not be repaired"). Is that the source of my problem?

If DU can't fix it after a couple more tries then, your best bets are DiskWarrior from Alsoft...

This last one would require another HD with plenty of space to recover to.
Unfortunately, Disk Utility can't fix all that much, and the only other Apple Options are erasing the HD, or installing OSX to a second drive, then using Migration Assistant to move stuff over to the new HD.

Lenovo G500 FPS drop Windows 10

Hello, when I'am playing CS:GO on my Lenovo G500 some times frame rate starts dopping but when i reboot the system fps is normal again. I have Win 10 and Intel 4000 graphics card. I have reinstalled driver but nothing changed. Sorry for my English and thanks.

You should keep an eye on that list as it is being updated fairly regularly.
If / when drivers become available, you should be able to find them in your system's support pages:

Yes, it is either 5.0.1 or 5.0.2, not sure which.
But it would likely require you purchase Mountain Lion to upgrade. But you can update to 10.7.5 for free to see what you get.
Upgrading to Mountain Lion

Lenovo G500 WIndows 10 drivers

Tomorrow Windows 10 will be released. I want to upgrade from Windows 8.1, but the Lenovo G500's drivers for Windows 10 aren't released yet. Will be the drivers released tomorrow or Lenovo G500 will not receive update for drivers ?

How can I start the BIOS setup utility?
To start the BIOS setup utility:
1 Shut down the computer.
2 Press the Novo button and then select BIOS Setup
There should be a tab labelled something like "Configuration" and on that page something like "SATA controller mode". Select "compatible" and save and exit.
I'm not certain this will fix your problem, but it's worth a try.

Lenovo Z400 touch Brightness Problem in Windows 10

I have just upgraded my laptop to Windows 10 and when I booted it up the brightness on my screen was very dim. I tried to adjust the brightess as I normally would (Fn + F11 (or F12)) but it doesn't change the brightness even though it recongnizes me wanted to change it. I had this problem when upgraded to Windows 8.1, but the fix I had for that doesn't work on Windows 10. Any help?
