Lenovo G510 graphic card

Hello,
I was wondering if I can change my gpu on G510? There is AMD 8750m at the moment, but I want to upgrade (switch to better one). Thank you for your answers

Good day and welcome to the community.
As in many laptops, the GPU (for models with discrete graphics) is soldered to the system board, and therefore not upgradeable.
Hope this helps to clarify.
Regards.

  • Lenovo G510 Graphics Cards Driver Problem

    Hi!
I just bought the Lenovo G510 Laptop, with an Radeon 8750, and installed Windows 8 64 Bit.
After installing the drivers from the provided CD, I get the following Bugcheck error code in WhoCrashed
    0xA0000001 (0x5, 0x0, 0x0, 0x0)
when rebooting ,or when I try to open the Catalyst Control Center.
Actually the AMD graphics card driver seems to be responsible, as this problem does not occur until I install this driver.
I tried to use the driver provide at the Lenovo support page too (for both Windows 8 and 7), with the same result. The ThinkVantage System Update does not install an AMD graphics driver at all.
Accordding to WhoCrashed atikmdag.sys causes this error.
I would highly appreciate any help!

    Hi Aimor,
    Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!
I’m sorry to hear that the Wireless driver is not getting installed in your G510 Laptop, I suggest you to download a fresh copy of the driver from the below mentioned link and while installing the driver right click on the downloaded file and select “Run as administrator” option to get it installed without any error:
WLAN Driver (Atheros, Broadcom, Realtek) for Windows 7 (32-bit, 64-bit)
Do post us back if the issue still persists.

  • Lenovo G500 graphic card driver

    Hello everyone!
I recently bought a Ideapad g500 with the following specs:
    Intel® CoreTM i7 3632QM
    6gb ram
    1TB HDD
    HD 8570M Radeon
I installed a Win7 64 Bit, but have trouble with the ati radeon card. After hours of trying everything I found on the net (including a similar topic here on lenovo forum) I installed the beta drivers and they were the only ones that got the card installed (the rest ahd trouble even installing CCC) If I right click and go to Switchable Graphics I cannot add another game I want to run and use the card. I can play most games on medium but one in particular works great but game crashes after 1 minute, even though i try to make the radeon card to be used. I installed a GPU meter but its always 0%. I think the radeon card isnt being used even with my setting because it never spikes or anything, and the games are not very high spec (League of Legends, Star Wars Online). I dont know what to do anymore. Switchable graphics is enabled in BIOS. The lenovo graphics driver does not even install CCC. I've even made a fresh Windows install, same problem. Game freezez, makes a horrible sound, I have to restart the laptop. It seems similar like crashes I got from my old laptop when trying games with far larger system needs, so I think the dedicated graphics card isn't used.
Please help me, its ruining my weekend .
    Thank you in advance!
Later Edit: the so called "avga110w7.exe" drivers listed on the models driver page here on lenovo does not work correctly.

    Hi Reluarea,
    Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!
I’m sorry to hear that your G500 Laptop is crashing even after installing the graphic driver and selecting the GPU as the default usable hardware. Below is the link to automatically scan the computer and install the latest driver for the computer and a link to check the Game compatibility before playing it:

  • Problem with lenovo G570 - graphic card

Hello,i own lenovo G570 and i keep getting this message: Display driver stopped responding and has recovered, every time I start launching any game. So basically I  cant play any game right now. I have hd 6370m and i downloaded drivers from official lenovo sites, so whats the problem, please?I really hope someone can help me solve this.

    Hi @Lefteris93 ,
Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have looked into your issue about your I would uninstall all the software and drivers for AMD High-Definition (HD) Graphics Driver and Catalyst Control from the control panel and the Device manager.  Restart the notebook and download from here.
Here is a link to the HP Support Assistant if you need it. Just download and run the application and it will help with the software and drivers on your system at the time of purchase. This will help update the drivers that have been installed on the Notebook.   If you graphics card was damaged or not functioning you would have a black or blank screen.
    Thanks.

  • Lenovo G500 Graphic card problem

    Hello
I have bought brand new Lenovo G500 (Intel(R) Pentium(R) CPU 2020M @ 2.40 GHz 2.40 AMD Radeon HD8570mGHz 8GB Ram) without system in it. I installed Windows 7 Ultimate here, and I cant install graphic card.
I downloaded AMD drivers and when I turn on my notebook again, in manager graphic card  is off, because of error 43.
Can I ask for fast reply ? I'm keep fighting with it 2 days in row.

Does the computer feel overly warm when the errors occur? If so the Video Card may be overheating, or have a hardware issue. If your notebook is under warranty - would suggest contacting Lenovo Support directly for service.

  • Lenovo G505s Graphic card advice

I am considering buying the G505s. The one with an AMD  A10-5750M processor and 8Gb RAM. This one: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Lenovo-G505s-15-6-inch-Laptop-Black/dp/B00LLE6IAU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=141...
I don't really want a gaming laptop but I want one to use as a general laptop but for casual gaming. I don't expect to be running new games on high graphics setting, but it would be nice if I would be able to play some newish games like Battlefield 4, Simcity, the Sims 4 and GTA IV/GTA V. I have looked online and found that this model is normally quite capable of running some of these games. However, I have a concern about the graphics card: Radeon R5 M230. For some of these games, such as Battlefield 4, youtube videos only seem to show it being played on the same model G505s but with a AMD Radeon HD 8750M graphic card. I've even seen it played on some youtube videos on the same model but the AMD A8 version, which has AMD Dual Graphics : AMD Radeon 8550g + 8570m.
I thought that the version I am considering buying had a better processor and grahics card and is more expensive, so am I correct that I won't be able to play Battlefield 4 and some other games?

When I said that, it was more of an expression.
My G770 can probably run new games but it's not enjoyable, Metro Last Light was running at about ~20 FPS on Minimum settings. Call of Duty Ghosts was ~30 FPS, but it used to drop frames on every few minutes. With the "latest" driver from 2013 I probably wouldn't be able to start the game if I hadn't used 3rd party AMD drivers which served me okay. But I also ran all those games at the native resolution, which in my case is 1600x900. Note that I run a Samsung 840 EVO SSD and I have 8GB RAM.
My point is that a mid range laptop is not meant for gaming, while it can run games there is no guarantee that it will be able to do that in say 2 years. And when I say run, I mean you actually playing. Any PC can run a game, but there's a difference between being able to run it and being able to play it.
I don't know if you're getting the laptop because of the price or you need portability. If it's not the latter, I seriously suggest you to look into a desktop PC. For 650 USD you can build a pretty decent rig, with a monitor and all peripherals. In my honest opinion, I should have done that.
All of this is strictly for AAA games, that are graphics intensive. Simulations, MMOs, RPGs, Indie, Valve games, are all very playable on my computer, even Sims 4, I can run that at medium without issues.
I hope I cleared any confusion. If you have any other questions feel free to ask or PM me.

  • Lenovo G510 video card problem

Hi there! Since a while I'm having some problems with my laptop's Video card. When I try to launch a game using the AMD Graphic card by going to 'Switchable Graphics', the game is not working, I mena I can hear the background sound of the game but the screen is black. When I switch to Intel Graphic Card the game is working perfectly.
When I go to Device Manager, I can see both Intel and AMD graphic card. But When I use FurMark I can only see the Intel Graphic Card which is the only one which works.
When I launch TechPowerUp GPU-Z I get an error which tells me to update my OPENCL and my video card driver.
    Any ideas, please?
    Thank you!

    Hi,
Just delete both Intel and AMD graphics drivers in Device Manager and make sure to delete softwares of the respective graphics too (can be done in Programs and Features, found in control panel)
Then first install Intel Graphics driver and then install AMD graphics driver from support site respective of your OS.
And do not update your Intel drivers from Windows Update and neither directly from AMD website.
It is prefered to install manufacturer drivers as they may be customised according to our machines.
Im using G510 on Windows 8.1 Pro x64
AMD Radeon HD 8570M, Intel HD 4600

  • Lenovo z5070 graphics card issue 'nvidia'

i bought a new laptop .. i have windows 8.1 ... Z5070 - Graphics cards issue (Unable to play heavy graphic games. Nvidia Card) Z5070 with Nvidia Graphic card is having problem when playing high graphic games. The Nvidia graphic card is not detected and it is only using the Intel Graphic card.i install latest updates for everything.what is the problem pllz i want to play games

Hi abdallah650, By default the graphic cards used by computer are switched automatically, depend of application to run. You can check and change this for each application in NVidia Control Panel - 3D settings.
Also you can run each application with right click on it and choose the prefered graphic card. Read this article: switching between Intel and NVidia graphics and here.  I hope that will help you.

  • Lenovo H520 Graphic Card Upgrade

    Hello
I have an H520 with i7-3770 and amd raeadon HD 8570 (OEM), can i change the amd graphics card to an GTX 650 or 750? without changing out the PSU, aslo that PSU is an hunt key with 240W is that enough? and btw does it has enough pins. i never change out hardware from the coumputer so i have no idea how to do it, can someone help me?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

You do not really have to go higher than 8gb, I upgraded to 8gb and then went up to 16gb because I play a lot of Xbox 1 and PS4 level games while running a few programs
Anyways, PSU you need at least 600W, I got a Corsair CX600 from Amazon for $60 (brand new).
If you do not get it, your GTX 760 will not run and your PC will turn off and tell you that you do not have enough power.
You DO NOT have to configure in BIOS. When you plug in the display adapter, you plug it into your graphics card port. I use the HDMI port. After plugging in your card, plug into the HDMI port (if available or use DVI), turn on your PC and if the screen turns off or has no signal then you did not plug in the right port. Then just follow directions on software installation.
As for putting it in yourself, it's not hard, it's the same as the original of how it is already plugged in. It's basically the battery of your PC, you just have to follow the same chords your original plugs are in.

  • Lenovo g500 graphics card cost

just wanna know how much will it cost to have a replacemet of the integrated graphics chip (amd radeon 8500m) ?????

If your GPU is working while you game then I believe you should be on the safe side, no it is not normal but it should not be much of an issue.
Lenovo has not yet released the Windows 8.1 driver for your AMD 8750M GPU and you are right now running the windows 8 drivers so you should be ok

  • Lenovo g500 graphics card problem

    Hi,
    I have Lenovo G500 with I3-3110M and dedicated HD8750M.
The problem is that inside the game (lets say Skyrim) the HD8750M is working but somehow not well enough - low fps.
The problem is there since I reinstalled my notebook (from win8.1 to the same win8.1) and on older instalation everything worked just fine. When I install driver from amd.com, game starts, fps are great but the screen is flickering. With driver from lenovo.com fps are terrible.
I tried to reinstall both driver for both graphics and ran your video test which says everythig is ok.
    Thank you for your help.
