Not even 3GB of ram is going to save you from this situation with the way the Intel HD graphics card is stealing your memory.
The first thing I would do if you have the time for it is get a nice drink and set it next to your computer, you are going to need it.
And remove all the try me and buy me stuff. Its going to take you at least 20 to 25 minutes to do.
After this, your computer should be speedier.
Some more things to consider. If you run MSCONFIG you can control on your computer the things that load up in the system tray. Be only sure to mess with the Start Up Try and not the other options.
A through explanation of how to use MSCONFIG can be seen on this page: http://www.netsquirrel.com/msconfig/index.html

  • Is the intel celeron 900 good for gaming

i got a toshiba l455 and it has intel celeron 900 and it is for world in conflict

Nope.  It's barely capable of web surfing, e-mail, and word processing.  Celerons are at the lowest end of the laptop processors.   I seriously doubt that the graphics chipset in that system will handle gaming either.

I have an old HP Compaq Presario CQ62 w/ an Intel Celeron 900 processor. I am wanting to upgrade to something better and go to something that is dual core for better multitasking abilities. I know that the socket type for the processor is PGA478 socket and I don't want to spend any extra money if need to be on it.
What processor will work best with this laptop and where can I find this processor?

  • I have a Intel Celeron 900 Series processor in my laptop, will I be able to use Creative Cloud?

I want to download CS6 on my Laptop but cannot find out if my system meets requirements.

Your processor is "compatible enough" to run the CS6 desktop graphics applications such as Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and Acrobat X.
It does not meet the requirements to run media applications as Encore, Premiere Pro and After Effects.
Note that you will need at least 2GB of RAM to run most of the applications, preferably more. Your experience of the CS6 suite will be influenced by lack of a dedicated graphics accelerator and slow processing speed of your CPU.

  • I have an hp presario notebook cq60 111em, with a 2ghz intel celeron, can i fit a core 2 duo t7250,

    Can i fit a T250 (sla49) CORE 2 DUO 2ghz 800mhz into my HP COMPAQ PRESARIO CQ60 111EM.
AT this moment in time it has an Intel celeron 575 @ 2.00ghz.
Two GB of memory, and BIOS F.65,
The operating system has been upgraded to windows 7 ultimate 32 bit.

    Hi:
    Probably not.
You probably have the Intel GL-40 chipset in your notebook which primarily is for celeron processors.
There is one model G60 that I know of that has a T3400 Pentium processor in it with the 667 MHz FSB.
I note that the specs for the GL-40 chipset can take celeron processors with an 800 MHz FSB, but I think a T7250 will not work because it isn't listed anywhere in the service manual as an option -- even for those notebooks with the GM-45 chipset.
My opinion for what it is worth, is that you may be able to install the T5800 or T5900 processor in your notebook.
You may even want to be real safe and try the T5750.
You may find my dialog with this forum member of use to you as well.

  • Win 8.1 x32 gfx driver for Intel Celeron embedded gpu

Hello, i upgraded my Lenovo Flex 10  from windows 8 to windows 8.1 and there are drivers for everything except Display driver for embedded Intel Celeron GPU. What a shame?
I tried to contact Intel, but their website says i should ask my solution manufacturer.
My CPU is Celeron N2810 and there is only driver for x64, but it was x32 operating system installedon my Flex 10 and now i can not downgrade and there is no display driver, except Mycrosoft's default one (Metro Interface is laggy).

    Hi,
According to the results of these two dump file, they had same reason of BSOD, both they were running google update when BSOD occurs, maybe you can try to remove Chrome on your system for test.
    Roger Lu
    TechNet Community Support
Chrome is not the problem, its very widely used so if there was a problem it would get fixed eventually
its only a browser, the problem is a device. BSOD happens at the kernel level where the device drivers are loaded

  • Lenovo g550 upgrade hard drive and ram

    I have a Lenovo G550 (20023), it has Intel T4300 CPU, 3 GB DDR3 RAM,Intel GMA 4500M graphics card and Windows 7, with 320 GB seagate HDD.
I would like to buy a new HDD.
    I found a 2TB Verbatim drive 15 mm height.
How much drive height does G550 support?
Also somewhere it says that 4 GB RAM is max supported, elsewhere it says 8 GB.
Are there any CPUs with integrated graphics (Intel HD 4000 etc....) available for this laptop?
    Thank you for answers.

Ooops. Yes. Sorry for that silly typo. It is 2 TBs. Here's the info on memory:
    Maximum Memory
16 GB (Actual) 8 GB (Apple)

  • Lenovo G550 Graphics Very Bad, want to install external GPU

    Hi everyone!
I own a Lenovo G550 (model 20023). It currently has a Intel Pentium Dual Core T4500, Intel Graphics Media Accelerator(That's one hell of a bad GPU!!!!), 4Gb DDR3 Ram(had 2gb DDR3 Factory Installed), with 3 operating systems(Yes, three!).
I can see that the Gpu bottlenecks the whole Computer. My objective is to run Prince Of persia:Forgotten Sands at a proper resolution and at medium Graphics Mode without High Resolution Textures(or Minecraft at about 100 fps At full setting, in 16x16 texture pack).
I see that the only way to safely increase without turning my computer into a paperweight si by using a External Gpu. But, I dont know anything about them(like Where to get them readymade, Will it fit into the PCI ExpressCard port etc.). Please give some Information.

    hi atreyabain,
The Intel Graphics Media Accelerator on the G550 is soldered on the motherboard and can't be upgraded. There's also no PCI / PCI-E slot on the mobo where you can add a discrete card. AFAIK, there's no ready made external GPU. You need to do it yourself . See the following:
How to make an external laptop graphics adaptor
How to Upgrade Your Notebook Graphics Card Using DIY ViDOCK
Although it looks promissing, it may not be practical and you're better off buying a mid/high-end rig for your gaming needs.
    Best regards,

  • Lenovo g550 windows xp drivers will not load

Help!  I purchased a Lenovo G550 yesterday and am in need of assistance.  Unfortuantely it doesn't appear that there is any way to contact Lenovo, the website doesn't show any method of even emailing them without an IBM service tag (which unless you are corporate user you can't get).
I purchased a lenovo g550 yesterday configuration is 3gb ram 160Gb HDD.  Upon booting the system I discovered that in fact users only get access to about 100Gb of the harddrive the rest is set up under multiple hidden drives.  I the system came with windows 7 home edition.  I need windows xp.  So through several hours of work I was able to create some unallocated space on the harddrive.  I loaded my copy of windows xp professional to this space and since windows automatically selects the drive name it is drive D:
I went to the lenovo website prior to loading xp and manually downloaded every driver from the site (very time consuming, I saw another way via a forum but was not able to locate it on the lenovo website).  Immendiately after loading xp and rebooting I loaded the intel chipset driver.  Then rebooted.  No other drivers will load for any of the other pieces of hardware.  All of THEM, everyone crashes with an error message that there is not enough disk space on c: to load.  I would guess that there isn't since c: is a 200mb hidden drive created by Lenovo.
Does anyone have a work around for this problem with the lenovo drivers?  This has turned into a multi-hour project for something very simple - putting an alternative operating system on the computer.  I cannot put xp as the c: drive because of the lenovo hidden partition is named c:.  I don't want to delete windows 7, as I expect to move to it in the next year but right now I several thousand dollars worth of software in xp and need to use that software.
I sure would appreciate any assistance :-)  Again the issue is the lenovo windows xp drivers, everyone of them excluding the intel chipset driver will not load under windows xp when windows xp is loaded onto the d: partition.  they all say they want to load onto the c: parition which is not an option.
thanks in advance for any help and if anyone knows how to get in contact with lenovo would love that also.

Well if you do not want win7 all together, then just delete all the partitions and install your XP. But if your not wanting to mess up this drive to be able to use the win7 later then just buy a cheap HDD to put XP on. --> http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148452 $10 off and free shipping. but being that you already tried installing XP then you already messed up win7 anyways(if you did not make the restore disks), your better off just deleting and redoing XP.

  • Help pls i cant run game on my beloved lenovo G550

how can i upgrade the shared video memory and dedicated memory from 32mb to 128mb.pls help.it is annoying

    hi lheickan04,
If you have the Lenovo G550 with the onboard Intel GMA X4500 then graphcis memory allocation can only be done under the BIOS (this feature can usually can be found under Advanced or Configuration Tab). If this feature doesn't exist under BIOS and a game was run, the OS automatically allocates the max memory that the system can allocate by using Intel(R) Dynamic Video Memory Technology and cannot be adjusted manually.
See this similar post by an intel representative for more info.
    Hope this helps

Its for the Lenovo G550 with Nvidia 210M Graphics card which 500GB hard disc it might work with the 320GB version or a 105M Nvidia card but it will not work with the Intel X4500 version as the driver is not there how ever you can easly download the drivers from intel.

  • Lenovo G550 laptop - red, blue, yellow specks and lines on screen

    Hello,
I have a 2 year old Lenovo G550 laptop, system model 20023 ( Dual-Core CPU T4300 2,10Ghz, 3,00GB RAM) running 32-bit Win 7 Home Premium OS with graphic card Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family.
Month ago, I started getting 2 vertical lines on my screen, which change colors and tend to disappear when I tilt it. Recently, problem graduated to red, blue, yellow specks all over the screen. Tilting no longer works, but I noticed a definite relationship with the degree of pressure on the case. When I push hard enough on the left spot below the case (where hard disk is located), the problem resolves completely. I also tried plugging another monitor in and there seems to be no problem either. Please, help.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Graphic card issue sounded highly unlikely with the external monitor image appearing to be normal. I tried reseating the lcd cable and it fixed the problem.
