Lenovo g580 2189 driver install problem

I have a lenovo g580 with windows 8
when i try to install drivers i get some errors, any driver with other error:
smart audio hd with dolby-  failure with non reason'
tuchpad ealn....-"ask for dspint package"
i download all the drivers from lenovo official web and i have energy mangement for windows 8
one more problem is in "fn" function,i dont see any fn function in the screen (no wifi,bluetooth,tuchpad,camera....)
only music. when i touch fn+f5 to turn off/on wifi the system shows on "airplane mode".
thanks

finally did it!!!! i had the same problem and now it works!
you first install the driver, and will tell no driver found ..., then go in C:\drivers\Bluetooth Driver (CyberTan, Liteon)\Broadcom\Win64   and execute Inst.exe and let it install all what it needs, don't press anything. if it still not works try install the same exe after activating bt with fn+f5.
win64 is for the one who have 64bit and I think that win32 will work for the one who have 32bit.
le: I have win7, i think it works the same for win8.. try it..
le2: and something else, I disabled UEFI from bios. I don't know if this is important, but it works for me with UEFI disabled.

  • Driver install problems on X

Hi my name is Mikael and I?m about to go nuts.... AARHG!
Seriously this has been the toughest hardware to install ever, and I?ve been into PC hardware modding etc for 0 years! not that I?m an expert because of that but....
    to the problem....
Doing a normal install with the included install CD gets me to the "driver install" part in the setup, at 84% completed, the computer stalls... reboot takes me back to the start with partial stuff from the install still in the system but not uninstallable as there is no SB X-Fi line in Add/Remove program.
Uninstalled the drivers with the application in the support directory on the install cd... rebooted and installed only the driver with the same app, and some minutes into the install the computer stalls again...
Manually installing the drivers via add/remove hardware gives me a lovely Bluescreen.
Installing in Safe mode works until I boot back to normal mode... either I can't even get into windows before I get a bluescreen or I sometimes get in and no hardware drivers have been installed says the Device manager, and wants to install the device again... resulting in one of the above scenarios...
Tried using IRQ 5 and on two different PCI slots, disabling a hardware sharing the same IRQ once, didn?t make a difference... Disabeling Onboard Sound card AC97 in MB-Bios gets me the message when booting to windows "the soundcard/hardware that uses this software can't be found....."
Sorry for the long post, but I hope I gave a understandable explanation to my problem so someone can help me as I would be very glad if someone did! ;o)
    Cheers!

  • Sound Driver and Driver Installment Problems

I have been having trouble trying to get my sound driver to work on my
MacBook Pro in Windows XP. After updating my MacBook with all it current
upgrades, I loaded up Bootcamp to install Windows XP now, I have followed
all the instructions in the guide and have succefully installed Windows XP but,
when I run Windows and start to install the Drivers from my Mac unto
Windows, close to the end I get a message that it could not finish properly.
Now, I find that all runs well except an important thing like my sound. I go
into the sounds control menue to see if there is a driver and as i suspect
nothing. I also check for my network and nothing and same for my eject
button, that doesnt work either. Please if someone can assist me on this
problem it would be much apprecitated and that way I can use my music
programs which I have not been able to use.

Your question has nothing to do with the installation of OS X. Post it in the Boot Camp discussions:

Some questions, if you do not mind:
How is the printer being connected? Wireless or USB?
Are you still able to make copies with your printer?
Do you see any error messages on the printer's display screen?
In the meantime, please try the following:
Uninstall the software. Uninstalling the Printer Software.
Clean boot the computer. How to perform a clean boot in Windows.
Disable any antivirus programs. Disable antivirus software.
Disable any firewall programs. Windows Firewall from start to finish.

  • Satellite S3000-X11 - Display Driver install problem

    Hi,
I am trying to install the display driver for my laptop and have downloaded the zip file 'display-20080414134834' from the Toshiba website. This file contains both a BIOS update and the display driver.
Unfortunately when attempting to install the BIOS update I am told that I need to insert a floppy disk, which, sadly, is impossible given that this model of laptop does not have a floppy disk drive! It only has a DVD Drive, and not a rewritable one at that. Secondly, on attempting to install the display update (having failed with the BIOS) I am told to insert the disk containing Setup.exe. I don't know if this refers to the aforementioned floppy disk or another CD that perhaps came with the computer. If it did come with the computer however, it is not in my possession now (this is a second hand laptop that didn't come with any driver software).
My question is how am I supposed to install this update and driver without a floppy disk drive or a cd containing setup.exe? Is there a way to get around this? The file I downloaded was the only available one from the Toshiba website, so there doesn't seem to be one available which doesn't require either of the things I'm lacking.
If anyone can help I would be very grateful because this is preventing me from playing some computer games!
In the meantime the generic driver is fine for browsing the internet etc.
My operating system, by the way, is Windows XP Professional.
    Processor: 1.1 GHZ Celeron
    RAM: 256mb
    Please help!
    Thank you.

Thanks for the reply, I didn't buy a floppy drive but you put me on the right track for a successful workaround.
I used a programme called Virtual Floppy Drive (available at http://chitchat.at.infoseek.co.jp/vmware/vfd.html) to create a disk for the bios update. I was then able to install the graphics driver without a problem. I'm quite amazed that this worked, but it did.
So, there's a possible way to get around this problem.
I'm off to play all the video games I haven't been able to play for a while! Haha.

  • ODBC Driver Install Problem.

    Hi,
I am having a problem installing the Oracle ODBC driver from the Oracle 9i 9.2.0.1.0 client CD onto a Windows 2000 professional SP4 machine.
The Universal installer says everything is installed but the driver does not appear the the Windows ODBC adminstrator. Having a quick look at the registry they seem to be installed but they do not appear in the list when trying to set up a new data source.
The client install works OK as SQLPLUS and the other tools are fine.
Has anybody else had this problem?
    Thanks,
    Richard

Thought I would post this, as it's taken me a whole morning to get to the bottom of it - but I cannot find it anywhere else on the Web, and it will hopefully save a lot of frustration!
WARNING - ALTERING THE REGISTRY CAN SERIOUSLY AFFECT YOUR MACHINE - DON'T BLAME ME IF THE FOLLOWING DOES NOT WORK, AND DO NOT PROCEED IF YOU ARE IN AANY WAY UNSURE OF WHAT YOU ARE DOING!!!
The 'Drivers' tab in the ODBC Data Source Administrator will only show a maximum number of drivers, as the number shown appears to be limited by the size of the registry key(!!!!!). Whether this is a limit on characters, or size, I do not know, but the ODBC Data Source Administrator 'Drivers' tab will not read past a certain number of characters in the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ODBC\ODBCINST.INI\ODBC Drivers. Anything beyond around 5830 characters (it seems to vary depending on the key name, and this is according to Word's 'Word Count' functionality - and this includes blank spaces, so it may be size related) is ignored.
    To replicate this....
    # Export the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ODBC\ODBCINST.INI\ODBC Drivers, and take a copy of the file for editing / trashing
    # Open the copy in Word, and do a Word count
    # Chop it until the last entry takes you over 5840 characters
    # Delete the registry key, then MERGE the copy back in
    # Open the ODBC Data SOurce Administrator, and look in the 'Drivers' tab for the last driver that was in your Registry, you will see that it is cut off at the end!
E.g. My last entry is "IBM WTX Oracle Wire Protocol"="Installed" and this just shows up as IB in the 'Drivers' list, with 'Version' 'Company' columns etc all blank.
So if you are in a large organisation like ours, and no-one ever bothers to clear the things out, then even if you have the driver registered in the registry key , it will not show up if it is too far down the list.

  • NForce driver install problem

I downloaded the nForce XP 2.45 drivers. When I double click on setup, the nVidia logo pops up with the progress bar reading "NVIDIA nForce Drivers Setup is preparing the InstallShield Wizard, which will guide you through the rest of the setup process. Please wait." When the blue bar goes to the right and finishes, it just stops. The nVidia logo and the progress bar disappear and nothing else happens. No install, nothing. Any insight as to how this can be fixed will be greatly appreciated. Here are the specs of my computer:
    AMD Athlon XP 1700+
    MSI K7N2 Motherboard
    Envision 910e 19" Color Monitor
    Windows XP Professional Edition
    128 MB DDR GeForce4 Ti4200 Video Card
    1024 MB PC2100 DDR SDRAM
40 GB 7200 RPM Western Digital HD
    Lite-On 16X DVD ROM
    Lite-On 24X10X40X CD-RW Drive
    VIA AC'97 Audio Card
    Teac 1.44MB Floppy Drive
    NVIDIA nForce MCP Networking Adapter
Toshiba Cable Modem with AT&T Broadband Internet

Thanks for your responses. You brought some things to my attention that I forgot to include in my original post. 1) This is not a new build. I just want to update my drivers 2) I am reluctant to delete my old drivers for fear that I might not be able to reinstall them. And now, the driver CD that came with the motherboard is experiencing the same problem. 3) Restarting the computer did not help. I don't think the file is corrupt since now I am experiencing the same problem with the CD. Are there any programs/services/etc. that could cause this problem if disabled? And the Detonator drivers install fine. I'm really stumped.

  • Optimus Driver Install Problem

    Hi there,
    I have a T410s with NVS3100, running Win7 (64). I tried many ways to install the driver:
    - Lenovo Auto Updater
    - Manually executing the download from the updater
    - downloading directly from http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=MIGR-76280
    - Right click in the device manager, select update driver, manually choosing one of the extracted downloaded drivers
except for the last one, the installation process runs fine, but after the requested restart, the nVidia part doesn't seem to be installed right. In the Device Manager I see Intel HD Graphics and a standard VGA card. It has an error code 10 (couldn't be started), choosing to update drivers automatically only returns that the driver for standard VGA is up to date.
What would be the normal procedure how to (re)install the drivers for the whole Optimus set (Intel+nVidia)?
    Solved!

  • Qosmio G15-AV501 with 5700 video, driver install problem.

Hi, I have a Qosmio G15-AV501 and I want to install the video drivers for it.  It has a Nvidia Geforce 5700 in it, so I downloaded the drivers for it.
But when I try to install/run the drivers, it tells me there is no compatible card in the computer.  I checked device manager and the 5700 shows up there fine.
    So what gives?

I'm having similar issues but I managed to get the G15-AV501R driver here to work - the qg152videonx.exe driver works but shows the display adapter as an nVidia GeForce Go 6600 now.  Don't know why but it works.  Now if someone can explain why the Audio and modem drivers for the AV501 won't work and where to find ones that will I'll be happy camper too...
