Has anyone solved the windows 7 driver issue? The canon website does not have one yet is reported windows 7 capatable.

    Hello ricksterofmi,
The PIXMA iP6000D Drivers are included with the Windows 7 Operating System through Windows Update.  Please connect the PIXMA iP6000D to your computer and automatically install the drivers.  Once this has been done, visit our website by selecting this LINK to download and install the Add On Module for full compatibility.
    I hope this helps.

  • Yoga 11S upgrade to Windows 8.1 issue

My YOGA 11 S came with Windows 8.0. I upgraded to Windows 8.0 Pro W - Media Center without an issue a few weeks ago. Today I have twice attempted to install the WIN 8.1 Upgrade from the Store. Both attempts failed and rolled it back to WIN 8 pro. It's a stock machine, no mods at all. Please let me know if any others are experiencing issues.
Both times the error info were reportedly sent to MS.
    Thank You

Found this link for a conexant driver for another Lenovo device:
    http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/detail.page?DocID=DS037884
Downloaded and installed it on my yoga 11s, now with 8.1 pro.    After download and install, a restart was required.  After that, the conexant HD audio and Dolby Digital Plus Home theater returned to my list of programs.  Windows Media player worked with video and audio.  Flash player worked using WatchESPN.com.  Seems to have fixed one of my 2 errors.

  • Lenovo ThinkPad Power Manager/ Windows Power Options Issue: Display Re-awakens Immediately

I want to share my experience with setting idle timers under Lenovo Power Manager or Windows Power Options, respectively.
I noticed that every time the monitor just had dimmed or shut off according to my power savings options, it brightened up or turned on again only a few seconds later.
I had seen the same behavior before using my Dell Latitude laptop, so I came up with the solution relatively quickly this time.
The interference was caused by a Logitech wireless mouse, even though all drivers were installed correctly and the mouse was working flawlessly.
Installing the Logitech SetPoint firmware solved the problem in both cases without further steps being necessary.
Maybe this note will help other users facing the same issue. Good luck.

  • Upgrade to Windows 8.1 issues

My computer did an automatic update (upgrade) to Windows 8.1 3 days ago. It took almost an hour for the complete upgrade. Now, I cannot access intent explorer on my desktop. When I click on the icon (top right hand side) to left click and highlight internet
options, it is greyed out. I try manually typing in MSN.com, and nothing, only a white page. I do not like the view in Windows 8 and prefer to use my desk top, and am unable to do so. Why is this, and what can I do to change it back to the way I was using
    it 3 days ago?

    Hi,
For this issue, since you did a update,I suggest you
use system restore to return to the point which did
    not appear the problem.

  • Hp LaserJet 4350 windows 7 driver issue

The driver installed from windows update (3.18.2008, I think--hpc43506.gpd?) seems to have a problem. I tried printing to two separate 4350 printers. I ended up installing a pcl5 universal print driver from the HP site. I was wondering if this is a known issue? Is it just me?

I am sorry, but to get your issue more exposure I would suggest posting it in the commercial forums since this is a commercial printer. You can do this at Printers - LaserJet.

  • Windows 7 Driver Issue

I cannot get my windows 7 home premium N (64-bit) PC to load the driver for my iphone 3g. I formatted my hard drive and reinstalled a fresh OS (windows 7) trying to fix this issue (moments ago).
The computer knows that it is an iphone. It shows up in the device manager under "other devices" and is listed as "iphone" with the yellow ! next to it. It is not showing up under Universal Serial Bus controllers.
I have tried to update the driver - pointing to the path C:program files(x86)/commonfiles/apple/mobiledevicesupport - with no luck. I have tried to uninstall the device and reinstall it. I have tried all usb ports on my computer. I have tried different usb cables (all apple) and had no success. My iphone will successfully connect to my father's computer (vista) with no problems. It will also connect to my G4 laptop and sync without issue. so it is not an iphone hardware issue. this is specific issue with my PC.
I even tried manually downloading the driver off of a website and still no luck. The message I get when connecting is "Device driver software was not successfully installed," with a red X - No driver found in the dialog box.
I just installed the latest itunes on a newly formatted drive. still no luck.
I am getting very frustrated and have tried all advice found on the web - including all recommendations at the apple support site.
    Please help!

Seach the forum for P55 chipset - that might give you some insight.

  • Windows 7 Driver Issues

    Hi,
I've tried installing the APS drivers for Windows 7 on my X61s, but I don't see the APS icon in my System tray after the driver has been installed and I've restarted my computer. I've listed all the icons in my system tray, and the APS icon is not available for display. In addition, i don't see any start menu links to the APS utility. I've checked in the control panel, and the APS driver is listed as installed. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing the driver, and have not had any success.
I don't think it is turned on, and I have no way of configuring the settings, such as avoiding repetitive shocks. Has anyone else faced this problem before?
Another driver that I think isn't working properly for me is the on screen display. My volume indicator shows up on screen when I use the volume and mute buttons, but the same does not happen why I adjust the brightness settings using Fn + Home/End.
I was using Windows Vista Business before and did not have problems with either driver, and I'm currently using Windows 7 Professional.
In Windows 7, I've installed the following drivers:
    System Interface Driver
    Power Management Driver
    Active Protection System
    Hotkey Driver
    Ultranav Trackpoint drivers
Any help or information would be much appreciated

    Hi,
APS is working on your maching. Somehow Lenovo sets strange default values which prevent you from seeing the software.
Go to the control panel, click "Lenovo's Airbag Protection" and check the box saying "Show active protection icon ...".
(TBH I reinstalled APS three times before figuring this out ; )  )
    Greetz!

  • Windows 7 driver issue with graphics card

Currently windows 7 will not let me play most games because my graphics card(s)will not officially show up in my computer and system properties. I have installed boot camp drivers on windows, and searched nvidias site for a driver, but it still wont let me play steam games or games off of a DVD. I have a macbook pro and neither my 9400m or 9600gt will show up or let me play games.
even a link to the proper driver will do, please help!

I originally posted this elsewhere but it seems appropriate here.
I run a 27" quad iMac on Windows 7 and BC. For the most part it is OK but certain programs are glitchy. The vendors suggested uploading the latest ATI drivers for my Radeon 4850. Both Boot Camp and Windows tech support people tried to download the latest ATI drivers to my computer w/o success. Finally, an iMac "manager" told me that the latest ATI drivers wouldn't install on my computer because they were not Boot Camp drivers. ATI confirmed this. The latest available ATI driver is Boot Camp XP. ATI says Apple must request that ATI provide a Windows 7 Boot Camp driver. Apple apparently hasn't done this. I wrote Apple "Feedback" and suggest that others do so too.

  • Lenovo H230 - upgrade from Windows 7 Home Premium to Professional

I would like to put Professional on my H230 in such a way as to have it in the RECOVERY PARTITION so I will be able to RECOVER to that version.  I do not believe an INSTALL will allow that.
How do I install to the RECOVERY PARTITION?  so it will be the RECOVERY version?

Well, I'm embarrassed to admit I rather "jumped the gun" on this one ... having written and posted my query I thought I'd see if a Restart would help ... it did!! Turns out I am now satisfactorily upgraded to Pro.
Sorry if I have wasted anyone's time and ... if you're experiencing a similar problem ... I'd advise you go for a Restart before panicking ... like me!!

  • Lenovo g580 2689 windows 8.1

Hi when are lenovo going to update the drivers for lenovo g580 2689 for windows 8.1 because they have not been updated since december 2012 and i only brought the laptop last year. and the audio driver need updated because it is not compatible with windows 8.1 i had to find the driver that is made for someone elses computer type.

I tried updating my G580 yesterday to Win 8.1 (so that I can then get to Win 10) The upgrade seemed to go OK until it restarted and then as the desktop loaded the screen started flashing. it then became stuck in a loop with it flashing faster and faster. I am guessing there is some driver or config conflict? Has anyone come across this and if so how do I solve it. I have updated the Intel graphics drivers already thanks

  • Lenovo G580(20157) won't shut down [Windows 7]

    Problem:
    I have a Lenovo G580(20157) with Windows 7(64-bit),
My BIOS version is 62CN40WW (Phoenix MoBo), and I have a problem with my laptop even though it works and boots up fine it won't shutdown!!
    Troubleshooting:
    I have tried the following:
1.Do Hardware test - No errors.
    2.Reflash BIOS. - Still won't shutdown
3.Do a clean boot. (I believe it is a BIOS issue but I still did it anyways...)
4.Used the boot utility provide at your website but it still doesn't shutdown even in Linux, it is stuck at shutdown message (Arch Linux/Open Suse)
    5.Disabled UEFI
And all other quick hacks like pressing shift and shutdown, disable BIOS options like  redoing steps 1-5 etc, etc................
P.S:I have a dual-boot system (Windows + nix) with Legacy boot enabled if it matters. Thanks!

    hi ArchKudo,
    Welcome to the Lenovo Forums.
Can you consider doing the following:
    1. Turn off the machine and remove the HDD
        - Video Disassembly Guide (see FRU Videos)
    2. Boot from a live Windows or Linux disc/usb (see this guide for Ubuntu and select Try Ubuntu)
    3. After booting from a live disc/usb, see if you can shutdown the machine.
If the computer turns off properly, try to put the HDD back in place and consider running another scan on the HDD using HD Tune.
If you get a warning or any errors on the Health Tab / Error Scan Tab then it's likely that you have a failing HDD and
you may need to contact lenovo for warranty service or replace the entire HDD.
