Lenovo Helix Power Management keeps reinstalling after I uninstall it

Hi, The Power Management driver seems mess up how the dock and tablet charges.  I noticed that my dock would be completely dead some times and not charge after i reset the battery and sometimes the tablet would not charge past 50%.  I found that uninstalling the power management driver fixed the issue but my problem is that it randomlly pops up after a day and I have to uninstall it again.  Does anyone else have this issue or know what is installing the driver back onto my system?

You probably uninstall your driver from the Devices Manager. But that doesn't uninstall it at all.
You should do it from Control Panel > Uninstall a program (or something like that, I have a french Windows 7).

Are we supposed to guess what the error message is?

David it sounds like you are having multiple difficulties with your current installation.  My best advice at this point would be to run the uninstallers in the Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers folder.  Once this is done you will want to follow up with using the CS Cleaner tool to ensure complete removal.  You can find details on the use of the CS Cleaner tool at CS Cleaner Tool for installation problems | CCM, CS6, CS5.5, CS5, CS4, CS3 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html.

You "can" install the LTT programs, however you "should not" install the Power Manager feature, after the main programs intallation. Use the Energy Management on your 570.

  • Lenovo G510 Power Management Probleme

Hey Guys i have a really anoying probleme with my new Lenovo Laptop. When i put the charger in, it runs slower than o battery. For example if i want to play a game and want to plugg it in so that it wont use the battery my performance is affected. I do not have eny power manager drivers instaled except the usual Windows power manager. I had one instaled but was pretty much useless and i've deleted it. Please help, i dont know what to do and its very anoying.

    Hi Albulescu,
As you have performed the exact steps with the Power Plan for Maximized performance of the computer with or without AC Adapter connected, the only available option is to re-install the Intel Chipset driver for the computer and if the issue persists. I would strongly suggest you to contact our Technical Support for further Assistance also to get the details of the nearest Authorized Service Center to get the issue analyzed.

  • Lenovo b590 power management not working

Hello! I have a problem with my laptop, a lenovo b590. (pentium 2020m, 4gb ram, intel hd graphics): the Lenovo Power Management driver not working....
Is exactly the same as here, but, the only difference is that I use windows 8.1:
    https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Lenovo-3000-and-Essential/Lenovo-B590-Lenovo-Power-Management-driver-no...
As no one could solve the problem there, I thought it may be more visible now and someone can help me
So, how can I solve this problem?
Edit: I tried everything that was said there, to no avail ...
    Sorry for my english..

i'm not sure if there's any suitable cooling pads for your computer but cleaning the fan could be another solution. it may work but it may also void your warranty.
due to it's probably hardware issue, at this point i don't think i have much suggestions for you.

  • Lenovo a7000 power manager

The power manager has bugs, it doesn't get disabled even after plugging in the charger. Have to unplug the charger and disable power saver manually. The power saver is always restricting background processes even when the power saver is disabled. Due to this the auto sync is not working. Many apps like hangouts are not listed in the background app management section in the power manager, so it is impossible to manage the app behavior. Please do the needful.

Yes its true, even i have to dissable it manually and i hope its not the hardware issue so i hope in your next update you guys will dolbe this issue along with wifi, heating and all other bugs.

Recently, Our friends bought more number of Lenovo A6000 mobiles.

Existing power manager will support on A6000? If yes, Please share the link.
In android phone, It must be needed app. We tried with third party app in playstore. it's not good so far.
So, I request lenovo team to give a power manger app support to the lenovo A6000 series. it will be helpful.
Or, Plesae suggest the best power saver app.

    Thanks jakas.
    It's working fine.
Also, Pls update if you found any other app which is great power saver.

  • Lenovo ThinkPad Power Manager/ Windows Power Options Issue: Display Re-awakens Immediately

I want to share my experience with setting idle timers under Lenovo Power Manager or Windows Power Options, respectively.
I noticed that every time the monitor just had dimmed or shut off according to my power savings options, it brightened up or turned on again only a few seconds later.
I had seen the same behavior before using my Dell Latitude laptop, so I came up with the solution relatively quickly this time.
The interference was caused by a Logitech wireless mouse, even though all drivers were installed correctly and the mouse was working flawlessly.
Installing the Logitech SetPoint firmware solved the problem in both cases without further steps being necessary.
Maybe this note will help other users facing the same issue. Good luck.

  • Windows 7 - Lenovo N500 Power manager

    Hello.
There is avaliable new "System update 4.0" for Windows 7 but it has no support for N500, although "List of Windows 7 upgrade capable systems" has it.
Will there be avaliable Windows 7 drivers, especially power manager, because sleep/hibernate function is the only ones that doesn't behave normally.
    Thank you.

    Hi,
    i'm running Windows 7 64 Bit successfully on my Lenovo N500 4233-77G.
    Here some recommendations:
    FIRST:
Install the "Intel Chipset Driver for Windows Vista and XP" from the Lenovo Website. It is meant for XP (32 Bit) and Vista (32 Bit and 64 Bit) and runs flawlessly under Win 7 64 Bit. This resulted in a large temperature decrease of the overall components (CPU, HD, graphics) and is definitely HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
    SECOND:
I installed from the Intel website the "Intel Matrix-Storage-Manager" driver for Win 7 64 Bit. Not sure if that helped, but Windows told me afterwards, that it has identified the HD and some SATA Controller. So shouldn't hurt.
You can find it on the intel website by navigating:
    chipsets >> notebook chipsets >> intel 4 series express chipset >> driver >> Win 7 64 Bit
    THIRD:
Install the Nvidia drivers from the Nvidia website (Win 7 64 Bit again)
    FOURTH:
As the system is parking the HD to often (click noise) you should do something against it. Install QuietHDD (http://sites.google.com/site/quiethdd/). The APM setting of 255 is already default and makes the click noise go away. Run that app all the time in the systray. Also this is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
With this setting Hibernate (a successful suspend to disk) works also with Win 7 (i think this is due to the intel chipset driver and also the nvidia driver).
Suspending doesn't work normally on this system, also with the drivers listed above. I think it's related to the BIOS, version 1.10 is out and might be tried. It is only for systems without HDMI, and disables HDMI on laptops which have this output. That's the reason why i haven't tried it on my HDMI enabled laptop.
    Good luck,
    muggy

  • Power Plan in Power Manager keeps changing by itself

I have the latest 3.61 Power Manager installed in my T420.  I have deleted all the custom old power plans and recreated a new one from scratch.  However I notice at times from going to the dock, or removing from the dock or powering it via AC adapter or not, I dont know exactly when but it just randomly changes the Power Plan.  I go to Power Manager and notice no Power Plan is selected (nothing highlighted on the left when in Advanced mode).
If I go to the Power Options in Windows Control Panel I notice that its somehow on a different plan, just now I noticed its on "High Performance".  Not sure how that happens.
Is there something I need to do to have it sit on my custom plan that I have selected in Power Manager at ALL time and never change?  I cant delete these default plans that are in the Power Manager like Video Playback, Timers Off, Power Source Optimized, Maximum Battery Life.  I just want it to stay on a selected plan and never deviate from it as I have custom display brightness, sleep times, etc.
    Dixit

Seems like this seems to be a known issue on Windows7 and no fix to it from all the scouring I did on the internet searches.
This is one thread I came across on Microsoft where a ton of folks complaining about similar issues.
    http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7performance/thread/ea33e9aa-c98d-417e-bdd1-60a462...
So I guess this is "normal" function that it randomly changes settings and plans.  I guess I could go into all the windows plans and set them all alike that way if it does change a different plan, its still the same.  But if you read that thread above, you will see people actually complain the settings itself change as well, which Ive noticed as well.  I have the brightness on my custom plan set to 7 and somehow it always keeps magically changing to another value of like 4, 3 or anything.  Same with the Dimmed Brightness setting, randomly changes.

  • Lenovo T6x - Power Manager install

I'm trying to deploy the power manager appliciatons as an unattended install.  I can do this with no problem using the setup -s -SMS switch.  What I want to do is set the default power manager schema to be maxium performance for all users who log onto the laptop.  Any ideas on how to do this?
    ThankS!!

  • Why does the file cache.db keep reinstalling after deletion?

Was told to delete cache.db file because the Safari window was opening in small print.  After deleting the file, closing out safari and reopening Safari, the print seemed normal again for about a second but then went back to smaller print again.  When I go back to the Finder and search for the cache.db file I had deleted, I find it has reinstalled itself.
    Any suggestions?

  • Arch-XFCE: power management keeps kicking in

    Hi,
I use a fully updated Arch/XFCE, among others, to watch movies (on a large external TV connected via HDMI) using VLC.
I use the following startup script to disable pam, among others:
    #!/bin/bash
    xset -dpms; xset s off
    xrandr --newmode "1920x1080_50.00" 144.1667 1920 2048 2248 2576 1080 1083 1088 1120 -hsync +vsync
    xrandr --addmode HDMI-0 1920x1080_50.00
    xrandr --output HDMI-0 --mode 1920x1080_50.00
Till about 2 days ago I had no problem watching movies this way.
Ever since (as far as I remember after a full system update), while watching movies, every few minutes the movies suddenly stop, and automatically resume (after skipping some frames) after about 15-20 seconds.
From the following journal I suspect the problem is pam related although it's disabled by the startup script.
    Please advise!
    Thanks
    Michael Badt

    Main PID: 273 (code=exited, status=0/SUCCESS)

It seems fairly obvious that there is a disconnect between your GUI frontend and whatever Xfce uses on the backend to manipulate these settings.  However, I don't know if it is a permissions issue or something else.  dmesg isn't a boot log, it is an interface for kernel and module messages and is usually a good place for looking when something goes wrong.  There are other logs that are more specific in your /var/log directory.
Run dmesg --clear, then perform some of these actions and run dmesg again.  This will clear all of the boot messages and leave you with only the messages that occurred after you cleared it.

  • Dropbox keeps reinstalling after each log in...

I recently acquired Gnome3 and I am running it with Arch Linux.  I updated to a new version of dropbox and when I logged back in I was asked to put in my username and password for dropbox.  The installation wizard started and I installed and synced up with dropbox. Now, everytime I start my computer, dropbox does the exact same thing every time. I am not sure what I am supposed to do.

I am using dropbox-experimental instead of the out dated dropbox package.  I removed dropbox-experimental and then re installed it again to see if anything changes... nothing happens I am still met with the install wizard every time I start my system.  and I still get the same result when I use the command you mentioned:
    mv .dropbox-dist{,.bak}
