Lenovo/IBM 8113-d5u + Intel 945 + Intell Pro 1000 PM

Question

We recently received some boxes from Lenovo part number 8113-d5u. They use
the Intell 945 chipset and have an integrated Intel Pro 1000 PM on a PCIE bus.
When we PXE boot it fails to find drivers for ethernet. This happens
during the loading of linux.2. We added e1000.ko to the list of drivers to
load in /etc/nwdriverList but this does not work.
Error message on PXE boot is:
"Unable to detect network card. Check documentation for list of supported
cards."
From dmesg when loading the e1000 module:
e1000: no version magic, tainting kernel.
Intel(R) PRO/1000 Network Driver - version 5.6.10.1-k2
Copyright (c) 1999-2004 Intel Corporation.
This board is the first board we've had with a PCIE connected ethernet
controller.
We are using a modified PXE image (from Novell forge with SATA support),
but the same error happens on the vanilla one from Novell.
Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Unsure if you mean the same as we have here using IBM T60 and M52, added
the latest intel driver to our imaging environment and it worked. Trying
to load to forge but can't see where to load. Using Zfd 4 SP6.
I had to build a Linux box to create the driver file, used Redhat 7.3 so
that we had an old version of GCC to compile.
Drop me an email if you want me to send our linux.1 and linux.2 or just
the e1000.o
