Lenovo N500 - how to adjust screen contrast and brightness ?

I have to use a software to train my eyes and it requires to adjust screen contrast and brightness.
I see that there are hoy keys in the keyboard to adjust brightness, but how can I adjust contrast ?

Hi guys and gals,
I've searched the L series thread before asking this question, so apologies if I should have looked harder!
The default contrast settings are making blacks appear grey and also whites have a slight blue caste to them. My searches have found that I am not alone, one guy advised that contrast can be adjusted from the Intel Control Panel. Although I can locate this on other branded laptops, this Toshiba doesn't seem to allow me access. Can I override this or is there another way to adjust the screen contrast? I understand usually laptops don't allow this kind of display manipulation, however, the way we see things is a personal thing.
Am I destined to be disatissfied with my beautiful new machine? Please help!

Thank you C3PO, this helps with adjusting the colours and text wonderfully, however, the option to adjust the contrast asks me to adjust using my 'contrast controls on your display'...I am yet to find this on the laptop. I assume this option in the program is only available for desktop display screens .

Getting access to the Intel Control Panel would still be my wish. Photo editing will be painful if I can not adjust the contrast.

EDIT TO ADD: Before anyone spends their valuable time searching, I have found from the Intel website, the shortcuts to access their control panel...none of which work on this machine :(

How do I stop camera raw adjusting contrast and brightness automatically when I open any image

Every time I open in image in camera raw or Photoshop it is applying an automatic contrast and brightness setting. I have tried resetting to defaults with cntrl shft del but it doesn't make a difference. It also when I just flick through thumbnails on bridge. The pics look almost like they have a cartoon like filter on them!!any ideas on how I get it all back to normal it's been great in the past . I use cs3

Short answer, learn how to use the tool...
As for the "auto" adjustments, are you sure that's what's happening or are the images changing based on the differences between what the camera preview and the Camera Raw preview look like? If you have indeed somehow turned on the "Auto" adjustment and saved that out as a Camera Raw default, you can go into the Camera Raw flyout menu and choose the option to Reset Camera Raw Defaults. If however you are talking about the inherent differences between the way your camera renders raw and the way Camera Raw renders it, that's an entirely different discussion...
As for your other question, try rephrasing it as it doesn't mean a thing to me so I have no idea how to answer...

How can I manually adjust the contrast and saturation of my ACD23" display?

I've used Eye-One software with Gretag MacBeth hardware to calibrate both my ACD23" and my MacBookPro 1920x1200 displays. It worked pretty well, but my ACD23" remains much more contrasty and saturated than my MacBookPro. I'm a pro photographer and I need images to match on these two screens.
If there was a way to directly, manually adjust the contrast and saturation of the ACD23", I could fix this myself. Is there? Perhaps with some 3rd party software?

Unfortunately, it does not help with this situation. It changes the contrast of BOTH displays, not just one. And, the displays are already set on "Normal" which is the minimum contrast. What I want to do is lower the contrast of just the ACD23.
Is there an ICC profile editor out there that would let me reduce the contrast and saturation of an ICC profile?

Adjusting the sound and brightness of the screen

In SL i could hold down "shift" and "alt" and then adjust the soundvolume and brightness of the screen mucth more accurate. I have tryed the same thing in Lion, but nothing happends. I can adjust normaly, but I can't adjust it quite as accurate.
Anyone know how to fix? Different keybindings in Lion?

As diligently as I've been googling, I cannot find a way to explicitly set the saturation or brightness for an RGB object, possibly because that RGB object is a Color, and if I get you, I can't set the S or B for an already instantiated Color.A Color object represents a Color defined by it's RGB values.
The Color class provides methods to calculate the HSV values for a given set of RGB values and the other way around.
The Color class provides a method to create a new Color object given the RGB values.
Sounds like that's everything you need to solve your problem.

How to set RAW defaults for Contrast and Brightness?

When I open a RAW fole in PS Elements 8 the Brightness set to 50 and the contrast set to 25.
How to set these two values to 0 (zero) as a defaults when a RAW file opened for the first time (defaults).

I think you can set presets in camera RAW (I'm at work now so I can't tell you the exact method), but setting contrast and brightness to zero gives you an ugly image, and you will most likely move the contrast up and the brightness up, so I'm not sure you are really gaining anything by having a default of 0 contrast and 0 brightness.
The defaults chosen by Adobe are reasonable.

I FEEL LOT OF PROBLIM ,I CAN NOT ADJUST THE COTRAST ON IPHONE4.

While I understand you are trying to help, this is frustrating because I also have this problem yet you answered a question asking about CONTRAST with directions on how to adjust BRIGHTNESS. they are two different things.
this is generally why TV's have a setting for brightness and contrast. I can't understand why so many people asking about this get answered the same way.
the brightness setting in iPhone is clear as day. what is not clear or perhaps not even available is a CONTRAST setting.
I set my brightness so that whites are white. yet the rest goes a bit too dark and perhaps a bit too vivid. I want to adjust so it is not quite so garish, but i can't find a way to do it.
my other iphone looks lovely. this new one looks way too vivid.

Here is a neat program that is really neat and you can use it for some cool stuff. I made some tutorials with it to show my wife and kids some easy short cuts for programs and other things. It's like Grab on steroids.

Acrobat pro properties how to usefull screen mode and keep page display at 100%

I am trying to create a pdf that will open in full screen mode and be a self running presentation but will display at 100% or at the actual page size and resolution.
When full screen mode is selected and with 100% selected in the properties or with actual size selected in the properties, when the pdf file runs on large screen monitor it enlarges the page display so it is no longer at 100% of size or it actual size (pages are set up at 8.5 by 11 inches full screen mode on large 20 monitor make them enlarge).
Is there setting combination that can use the full screen mode and thus use the self running presentation but still maintain the image display size and correct resolution 100% at 72 ppi.

Not having problem with the pdf file autostarting, there are no movies or sounds in PDF file only transitions with auto flip are used. My issue is getting the file to display at correct size and resolution with the full screen mode also turned on in the document properties (running acrobat 9 pro on mac os 10.5.8). Using 100% or actual size or fit page in the initial view setting seems to not effect this when the full screen mode also is selected. I want the file to display at its correct size and resolution, I thought that using 100% vs actual size would make the file display at its 8.5 x 11 size or what ever size is used regardless of monitor size it is displayed on. PDF file seem to do this when the full screen mode is not used.
I thought that I had gotten this to work with full screen mode before, maybe this has changed with acrobat pro 9 on mac?
It seems there is no way to affect the display within the fullscreen mode. So for example if you set in document properties under the initial view the magnification to 50% when the the full view mode is checked it overrides this magnification setting this seems to be so if using the actual or the 100% setting. Yes the 20 or 27 inch monitor displays it larger and also distorted because the file resolution is intentionally kept at screen res 72 ppi because I need to maintain a small file size. This is not what I want to happen. I thought there was a way to control how the file displays when using the fullscreen mode. this is my making me crazy issue.

I am doing recording in VF01 after entering delivery number which is on screen number 0102 and pressing enter sometime it goes to screen number 0103 and sometime it goes to screen number 0104
I wanted to find out on what condition it goes to these screen

for konwing the screen flow you ...just use the press (ctrlshiftF5) now you will get the flow ...now just click on screen number 102 then go inside the PAI by double clicking on user command...
search for screen numbers 103 or 104 now check on what condition it will get tirrgered..

since i have upgraded to windows 10, i m not able to adjust my laptops screen brightness cause i m not getting the option to adjust screen brightness, nor the screen brightness up and down buttons are working. Everytime I load an image in photoshop or camera raw from bridge it automatically applies 50% brightness and 25% contrast and 5% black fill. It's ruining the pictures. I have already tried resetting photoshop and bridge to their default settings using cntrl, shift, delete. Any ideas?
