i bought my lenovo ideapad s510p touch from usa in dec 2013, i only hav upgraded warranty.,
recently my laptop's TOP COVER has broken i need the part very urgently please any one can help meee please

BOOK COVER CROPS TOP IN PRINT DIALOGUE PDF

I have been producing books for a long time but now the cover of a book which is displayed correctly in iPhoto 09, when trying to print a pdf the cover cuts 1-2 inches off the top and adds black at the bottom. Apple are at a loss to explain it. All other pages convert to pdf correctly. This has suddenly happened, all but one previous books display pdf perfectly. Checking the pdf in book assembly there are no problems but in the print dialogue it cuts the top off. Have tried everything & this has been referred to a higher level at Apple as Genius bar could not fix it. Any ideas?

I have also made several books with iPhoto and had never had a problem, but I had also never used a full bleed picture on the cover. But I had this problem yesterday.
I talked to Apple tech support and he was actually able to duplicate the problem. He did not have a solution, but told me that there is a way to contact Apple as soon as your receipt is emailed to you and have them hold the order and actually look at the files to see that nothing has moved and that heads are not cut off. But today I conquered it for my book!
Look at the pages in iphoto, note when looking at the second page which would be the inside cover, you will see a wrap. Heads were being cut off because of the wrap for the cover. You will need to use Photoshop to add space to the top of the photo. I added 2 inches at first, but then adjusted it to about 2.25-2.5 inches. My problem was the edge of a tree, so I eliminated it allowing for the top to be more sky. Previewed my page in print/pdf mode and voila! Fixed!
Apple tech support was great - I love the call back feature. When I upload my book, I will probably still ask them to check it, but I believe I've solved the problem for my cover!
To contact support about your book before it prints - and you need to do it right away as soon as you receive the receipt from apple go to: http://www.apple.com/support/photoservices/
then under Customer Support - the paragraph reads:

Note the word email is blue, click on it and ask them to review your book before it is printed!

I tried changing my password, and it changed to one that wasnt it, and i dont know it. So i tried it too many times and now its saying it is disabled, connect to itunes. but a problem is that my power button on top is broken. how to i fix it?

Disabled
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
iOS: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

Cannot seem to get a signal from my router with my Ipod touch. Lap top and desk top are working fine.

I have been having trouble with my Ipod touch getting a signal from my 2wire router. This is an easy set up for lap top and desk top. Now I can't seem to get the internet with my ipod. I can get the a signal with my wife's ipod 3rd generation with no problems. My old ipod i purchased in early 07. I can get a signal at the local McDonalds or Starbucks. Just not at home. Does anyone else have this problem? I ran the reset as prescribed by apple but have been unsuccessful.

The problem is most likely with your router. Follow the instructions in the router's manual to reset it. Also what security are you using? If it's WEP upgrade to WPA. The iPod sometimes has trouble with WEP "protected" routers. I put "protected" in quotation marks because WEP security is essentially useless. It can be hacked in less that 30 seconds.

Replace it. The part is usually called a screen bezel if I understand correctly....you mean the plasic frame like a picture frame around the display. Such plastic parts are generally available on eBay. HP Partsurfer would have them, too but likely prohibitive in cost.

you make an appointment at the genius bar of your local Apple Store and pay them to get your phone serviced. Then you can restore the replacement phone from your backup.

Tablet turns off when touching off screen border with cover on

Hi, I have a 1050L with a kwmobile cover. When the cover is on, it is enough to touch the side of the cover (off screen, where you hold it with your hands) with the built-in camera and the unit shuts itsself off. I need to hit the power button to turn it back on. This is very annoying. Without the cover, the problem does not occur at all. I looked for sensor settings and such, but so far to no avail. Please anyone help so I can continue using the tablet. The problem is only on the side with the camera, the other edges I can touch and hold without problem. Thanks a lot. Gunther Schwarz

Reset the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings

so my ipod touch screen is broken, and whenver i try to unlock the ipod screen, all that i can see is the top right hand corner of my ipod, and the rest is all whited out. Also, the jack which support the headphones to stay in place, one of the balls in the jack is pushed in which causes the headphones and stereo jack to slip all the time. I also have a problem which is when i try to sync my ipod to itunes. Last time i did it(which was 4 years ago), i synced my ipod and i started out with 225 songs, after the syncing process was complete, i ended up with 119 songs. I'm afraid to resync my ipod or back up my ipod to a computer because i dont want to lose the wonderful collection of 589 songs i have now. I'd really appreciate it if i got some feedback. Thanks.

Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for this price. They do not fix yours.

How can i get Miracast/widi to work on my S510p touch

I have installed Intel WiDi software from Lenovos site for drivers & dovnloads for S510p touch and the drivers for the network adapter. But i get en arror saying that my network adapter is not valid. There is a compabillity problem. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

To the best of my knowledge, Intel WiDi requires, among other things, an Intel WLAN adapter.
Is that what you have? I ask because, in looking at your driver listing, I see Liteon / CyberTan WLAN drivers.

Couple months ago I purchased my new laptop, so far it's worked great, just getting use to Windows 8 is a bit tough. I frequently take my laptop to locations that have no power outlets available and so have to rely on the battery, typically I'm working with Video and audio files which put a big drain on the battery. I thought no biggie, I'll go buy a second battery from Batteries Plus, a local battery store, problem is they can't find any information on this laptop or the battery, so I went on the Lenovo website and I also can't find the information on my laptop which is the i3 series Ideapad S510p Touch with the 500gb hdd 6gb ram, Does Lenovo use different numbers for this system? I purchased the laptop from Office Depot and haven't checked with them yet regarding parts specific to this laptop because I think the company that makes this thing should have information about it. Not too encouraging to see the number of support complaints regarding Lenovo computers, but mine is working as expected so far, just need a second or larger battery and then I'll upgrade the memory and be good.

S510P Touch wont start

Hello,
I recently bought a Lenovo Ideapad S510P Touch. It has stopped working as the screen wont power up. When i turn it on, a blank screen is what i see. I have tried using a HDMI cable and projecting the images to no avail. I have also pressed the one key recovery but nothing happens.
I have held the power button down for 10 sec to force a full shutdown and then I press it again to startup. Always black screen...
I have tried the recovery key method a couple of times without success. Nothing appears, black screen, always...

Try a hard reset and go from there.
