Lenovo S650 - default (factory) desktop view

Hello everybody. Happy New Year! My calendar and power panels disappeared today. It still works fine.
I tried to return default view of "calendar+power panels on 1 desktop" but can put only one of it, smartphone reports that row is full. So, do you have any idea ho to do this? Maybe it's possible to remove row at the bottom of the screen? But as I see it always active in any desctop and can't be removed (there are Contacts, Photo etc.)

Ok...If the same widgets(exact same calendar widget,there's more then one) had space before my guess is that something happened with the Lenovo Launcher.
First try this: go to Settings>Apps>All>find the Lenovo Launcher and ''Force stop'' it.A phone restart should have the same result.
If that dosen't work and you are willing to rearrange the desktop screens all over again(App icons/folders &widgets) you can go to Settings>Apps>All> find the Lenovo Launcher and ''Clear data/cache''.
Isn't a factory reset(you won't lose any of your currently installed apps and data).....just a launcher reset.

Answer is - Deactivate "Mobile Browser View" from site feature.
By default, "Mobile Browser View" is active to save data bandwidth in PS2013. When it is active, it renders "Site content" page assuming user just select list/library to perform operation.
If you want user to see site page first and then navigate, then please Deactivate "Mobile Browser View"

GL : Default Desktop Viewer

Hi,
I used my Functional Administrator responsibility to set the GL : Default Desktop Viewer to Excel 97 via Core Services -> Profiles. I then switched to the General Ledger Super User responsibility and was happy to see the Launch Journal Wizard link there - I'm pretty sure it wasn't before but that's irrelevant - but when I tried to create a document I got BNE:EXCEL97 is an invalid Viewer Key for an error. I then used my System Administrator responsibility and went to Profile-> System and set the value for the viewer to Excel 2000 at all levels. When I went back to my GLSU responsibility however, the viewer was still Excel 97. So how did I mess this up? Why can't I change the viewer and why isn't Excel 97 allowed if it's one of the selections?

I did log out log in yesterday, but thought I'd better do it again this morning to insure I'd done as you suggested. Guess what - it's now set to Excel 2000 and that works fine. This kind of begs the question as to why the Excel 98 is included as a selection for setting the profile.

Shortcut on desktop defaults to tile view not columns view

I dragged some folders from my hard drive into the far left-hand column ("PLACES") to create shortcuts. All of the folders (shortcuts) open in Column view, which I like.
Unfortunately, one of the shortcuts opens in Tile view, which I dislike.
I tried recreating / redgragging the folder into PLACES many times but it always defaults to Tile view.
Any thoughts on how to get it to open in Columns view?

when you click on the folder you will see on the top bar of the finder there is a gear click on that then go to show viewing option then in the viewing option check if the columns view is checked or not

Google, in their control frenzy, has now changed iGoogle to default to Tablet view on iPads. Why??? Here is one solution but it does not use Safari:

Answer:This issue is with the Tablet view. You can switch to Classic view at the bottom, but as soon as you type anything in the url bar you get reverted to Tablet. I have the Atomic Browser installed on my iPad and have set it to identify itself as a desktop. iGoogle loads fine on that. I am not aware of any such setting for Safari on the iPad.
Google fails to understand that we do not need sub featured pages for our tablets. Tablets work fine with the desktop versions. They have probably concluded that iGoogle pages are too busy for tablets and so have disabled it. Tablet search has been significantly degraded by Goggle with elimination of the pinch and zoom and cached features. It should be possible to make a sticky setting change to Classic view on tablets. Most other settings stick, but not the Classic view. I dont think Google get it anymore.

The website may alter its page display based on the browser ID that is transmitted to the site from your browser. Some browsers on the iPad like iCab allow you change the browser ID to something desktop-oriented. Safari does not provide this capability.

Muse/business catalyst: opera mini / opera mobile gets stuck in desktop view

After visiting a muse site and switching to desktop view, Opera Mini continues to serve it up even when reverting the original URL:
1. Create a site site.com with a mobile and desktop view.
2. Provide link to get from mobile to desktop.
3. Open site with opera mini. The mobile view loads.
4. Click the link to get to the desktop view. Muse redirects to something like site.com/phone/index.html?devicelock=phone
5. Put in the URL for the original site, eg. site.com.
6. Now, when you go to site.com, the URL resolves to the desktop site. Incorrectly.
7. Try clearing the history and cache in opera mini -> same result.
8. Go to explicit link to phone site. Then go back to base URL site.com. Still resolves incorrectly to desktop site.
It appears Muse is not supporting opera mini / mobile responsively, please advise.

That's not quite correct. Please see step #8 above. Even if I follow a "go to phone site" link with a "devicelock=phone" parameter, it may take me to the phone site, but default navigation remains stuck on desktop, when I put in the site URL. If your understanding of the design is what you described, then the actual behavior is not in alignment. I would appreciate you passing that on to the engineers.
Even with the design you describe, there is a problem considering the following use case:
1. User views phone site on their flip phone.
2. User attempts to load desktop site. Site loads, but is not viewable on mobile device.
3. User wants to revert to phone site and does not have ability to click a link, so they go back to the referring page or e-mail which contains ... the original site URL.
After the user clicks desktop link, the site is lost to them, unless they can figure out how to (and agree to) kill all their cookies.

Why does cnn or other links open in desktop view?

Every browser I've used (chrome, opera, dolphin,etc.) will open www.cnn.com in a readable, single-column, format. How come Firefox opens in a full desktop view - which is unreadable without zoom?

Make sure you have unchecked 'Request Desktop Site' in the browser menu. Also, make sure you have not accidentally set a non-default perhaps desktop different user-agent in Phony if you have that add-on installed.

Unable to restore to default factory setting

After logging into Windows properly and try to restore the default factory settings by pressing the lenovo onekey recovery button it is not working then I have uninstalled it and downloaded the same version from the lenovo drivers site,but at the last moment of the installation of it i used to get "onekey recovery has stopped working"
Also sometimes earlier i have faced the issues while working used to get Dark blue screen with some text written on it and need to restart the system one more time.
Please suggest me the solutions for the above issues as i want to restore my laptop with default factory settings and want to eradicate all the above issues.
Please provide the solution for the same ASAP as it creating problem for me.

You can try this(can't guarantee 100% that it will work but it's worth a try)->
Install THIS (ALTERNATIVE LINK to the app)and follow the instructions from HERE
Open --> Engineer Mode --> Engineer Mode (MTK) -->Connectivity Tab -->CDS Information -->Radio Information
- select Phone 1
- you can see AT+ at the top
- type AT+EGMR=1,7,"xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"(x=your 15-digit FIRST IMEI)
- press "SEND AT COMMAND"
- reboot your phone
For the second IMEI
- select Phone 2
- type AT+EGMR=1,10,"xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"(x=your 15-digit SECOND IMEI)
*If you get ''this command is not allowed in userbuild'' or similar message->
Put a space between AT and + Should look like this->AT +EGMR=1,7,”(your 15-digit FIRST IMEI)”
Same goes for the second IMEI AT +EGMR=1,10,"xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"(x=your 15-digit SECOND IMEI)
AT + instead of AT+
- reboot your phone
*#06# to check IMEI
If you want to use the app's other ''settings'' you do require root access.
You can use THIS APP to root your device,(download to your phone->allow unknown sources in Settings->Security->install).
The above IMEI restore method is generally risk free.
As you probably already discovered(you can do a search on ''restore'',''replace'' or ''rewrite IMEI on MTK'') there are other methods to repair your IMEI.
Some methods do involve risks.Use at own risk.
Also please keep in mind that in many countries changing/replacing the IMEI number/s is illegal.

Lenovo s650 heat up and signal lost issue

hi there!!!
i hav bought lenovo s650 few days back and had issues with it from day 1 it came with jelly bean 4.2 and it had issue of wifi connectivity and phone getting heatup while playing any game for about 5 to 10 mins also battery was getting drained in half day with normal usage , then i gave it to lenovo support center they updated to kit kat 4.4 , now the wifi connectivity issue has been solved but heat up issue is still the same alongwith new issue of Sim signal lost when i use two sims, the sim1 signal gets lost only sim 2 works , also i m facing the same battery drainage issue i m very fed up of this set in just few days. i have used other brands like huawei and sony but never faced these issues..

Try factory reset. If that doesn't help, try flashing other versions of the modem through custom recovery. You can take the modems from here:

When frequently switching between mobile and desktop view

When I frequently switching between mobile and desktop view I have to open the layers every time since they get closed/collapsed. Adobe may need to fix it for the next version.

You can use CTRL+# to switch between Code and Design View.
