Lenovo S650 FORMAT with FlashTool (probably bricked)

Hey forks.
I did the "FORMAT" with FlashTool while I was trying to root my S650 and now it completely dead.
It can't turn on, event into recovery mode, nothing. The only thing is that while I take the battery off and connect phone via usb cable to PC, the red diod lights, that's all.
I'm afraid that phone is bricked and have no idea what to do.
Please help guys.

Strange problem with Lenovo S650

I have an interesting problem with Lenovo S650.
If it stay in 2G/3G mode - it connect and work in 3G network well. But if I put "only 3G" mode, it don't connect to the 3G network.
I changed SIM-cards, modems, firmware, mobile operators - Nothing change.
What is the problem? Thank you.

Because your network needs both 2G and 3G to establish an internet connection. When the signal is low ,3G is favored/preferred (WCDMA Preferred or Auto )...but that uses more power. Don't actually need 3G all the time.
This isn't the root of your problem ...Actually isn't a problem at all .
Now can you tell me your firmware build number(Settings>About phone.. ) ?
Did you had this problem from day 1?
Did you get the phone from China and flashed the ROW firmware yourself? Got the firmware from some Russian forum and changed some regional code at the first boot...by any chance?
Beside flashing different baseband modems, have made other alterations (Like changing engineering mode settings... )

Problems with the bluetooth in Lenovo S650

Hi All,
I'me facing a problem in sending files with my new Lenovo S650 by bluetooth.
I can't send any file with my mobile to a Laptop. I already have my mobile and Laptop connected with each other...
I can send from the Laptop to the mobile but in reverse I can't. What can I do?

The problem is not the phone....youre laptops Windows is.
Check you're sharing options and the Bluetooth suite/drivers.

Help my recover my lenovo s650 to official rom

plz help me i have lenovo s650 i formated it and lost my imei
and i installed a rooted rom "vibeui_v2.0_1439_7.3.1_st_s650_baralajbi " .
i need to unroot my device and return back to official rom with my imei because every time i make factory reset
i must use android mtk to recover my imei .

You can try this(can't guarantee 100% that it will work but it's worth a try)->
Install THIS (ALTERNATIVE LINK to the app)and follow the instructions from HERE
Open --> Engineer Mode --> Engineer Mode (MTK) -->Connectivity Tab -->CDS Information -->Radio Information
- select Phone 1
- you can see AT+ at the top
- type AT+EGMR=1,7,"xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"(x=your 15-digit FIRST IMEI)
- press "SEND AT COMMAND"
- reboot your phone
For the second IMEI
- select Phone 2
- type AT+EGMR=1,10,"xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"(x=your 15-digit SECOND IMEI)
*If you get ''this command is not allowed in userbuild'' or similar message->
Put a space between AT and + Should look like this->AT +EGMR=1,7,”(your 15-digit FIRST IMEI)”
Same goes for the second IMEI AT +EGMR=1,10,"xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"(x=your 15-digit SECOND IMEI)
AT + instead of AT+
- reboot your phone
*#06# to check IMEI
If you want to use the app's other ''settings'' you do require root access.
You can use THIS APP to root your device,(download to your phone->allow unknown sources in Settings->Security->install).
The above IMEI restore method is generally risk free.
As you probably already discovered(you can do a search on ''restore'',''replace'' or ''rewrite IMEI on MTK'') there are other methods to repair your IMEI.
Some methods do involve risks.Use at own risk.
Also please keep in mind that in many countries changing/replacing the IMEI number/s is illegal.

Import Format with Invalid Character

I have accidentally created an Import format with an & which is bad character for FDM. It let me create the import format but now I am recieving a page error everytime I try to access the Import Format screen. This is preventing me from deleting the problematic import format. I have tried to export the import formats, delete the bad one from the xml file and re-import but this did not work.
Any idea of how to delete this import format?

You'll have to fix this through the database. Below are some SQL commands that will work in SQL Server.... Oracle is probably the same idea, but I won't claim those work in PL/SQL as I don't focus on it....
If it's in the Import Format details, you should find it by executing the following SQL :
Safe way (just to double check what you are going to change)
select * from tBhvImpItemfile where ImpfldFixedtext like ('%&%')
Update tBhvImpItemfile set ImpFldFixedText = 'new text here' where ImpSeq = <number(s) returned from first query>
You know what you're doing and don't want to see what records you might impact first
update tbhvImpItemfile set ImpFldFixedText = replace(ImpFldFixedText, '&', '-') where ImpFldFixedText like ('%&%')
If the & is in the Import Format (Name, Description, etc), then you would apply the same idea, but look at the table tBhvImpGroup and most likely the fields ImpGroupKey / ImpGroupDesc......

Is a Time Machine compatible hard drive formatted with Mac OS?

I have a 1 terabyte Buffalo LinkStation Live NAS, and it says that it's Time Machine compatible; does this mean the the drive is formatted with Mac OS Extended (Journaled)? Thanks.

Probably not but the device supports AFP protocols which is necessary for communication with OS X.

Clearing paragraph formatting with Ctrl-0

This is a FYI.
I've always cleared paragraph formatting with Ctrl-0, but it doesn't seem to work anymore (PC, Dreamweaver CC 2014.1). Ctrl-0 is still set in the keyboards shortcuts to set paragraph formatting to 'None,' but it just doesn't work. I tried changing the shortcut to something else and it worked fine. I then tried changing it back to Ctrl-0 and it said it was already assigned to '100% view.' So I found that shortcut, cleared it, and then assigned Ctrl-0 to Clear Paragraph Formatting and all is good now.

Sounds like they probably changed some keyboard shortcuts to mimic browser shortcuts.

Lenovo s650 heat up and signal lost issue

hi there!!!
i hav bought lenovo s650 few days back and had issues with it from day 1 it came with jelly bean 4.2 and it had issue of wifi connectivity and phone getting heatup while playing any game for about 5 to 10 mins also battery was getting drained in half day with normal usage , then i gave it to lenovo support center they updated to kit kat 4.4 , now the wifi connectivity issue has been solved but heat up issue is still the same alongwith new issue of Sim signal lost when i use two sims, the sim1 signal gets lost only sim 2 works , also i m facing the same battery drainage issue i m very fed up of this set in just few days. i have used other brands like huawei and sony but never faced these issues..

Try factory reset. If that doesn't help, try flashing other versions of the modem through custom recovery. You can take the modems from here:

How do I import music from a flash drive that was formatted with a windows PC to my MacBook - the drive is showing it has over 3GB of info on it but none of the files are showing up in finder? I had backed up my iTunes library on the flash drive about a year and a half ago before I switched from a dell to a MacBook pro.

What I found works for me is to make sure iTunes keeps the music files organzied in the iTunes Media folder according to album, artists, etc. and that it copies the music files there when adding them to the library. That way, if something happens to the library, the raw files can always be re-imported again.

Lenovo G560 - Issue with won't boot and black screen after HDD upgrade.
What happen: My laptop was working fine, no blue screen issue, no funny business at all. I bought a new SSD Intel 120 GB and thought it would be a good idea to replace the HDD. I shutdown and disconnected the power adapter, waited a couple of minutes and removed the battery. I opened up the back case and replaced the HDD. And put all the screws back and put the battery back in.
Problem: The very first time I turned the power on, nothing happens besides a black screen. I pressed the dvd drive it works and opens up and closes. I waited for about 30 mins and still has blac screen. When I mean black screen, no bios menu, no logo, just a black screen with the fan sound on.
I have tried these:
1. Unplugged everything - battery, adapter, and pressed the power on button for about 60 seconds, nothing, the laptop turns on with the LED display on for both on and battery LED's. But nothing but black screen, no sound of windows loading just the fan and black screen.
2. I tried putting back my old 2.5" and nothing but black screen.
Thoughts and suggestions?

As per the query we understood that you are facing issue with system not booting in your Lenovo G560 laptop.
As you have mentioned that the system not booting, please try to remove the RAM and turn on the system and check if you can hear any beep sound. Also try to clean the RAM slots and check for the issue.
Click here for the steps to remove the RAM and refer page number 40.

We are experiencing the same issue as reported in the sticky thread. I answered in that thread, but thought that I woudl open a new thread to keep track of this issue. I can give you the responses to your questions you have requested in that thread:

How did you deploy? - Installed CR 2008 SP1 runtime with msi package
If you deployed with CRRuntime_12_0_mlb.msi - what was the date of the file and its size? CRRuntime_12_1_mlb.msi dated Sept. 16, 2008 12:55:00 PM, size: 56,717,824 bytes
What is the file version of crpe32.dll on your server? You'll find this in the C:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\win32_x86 directory - File was created 9/13/08 11:21AM, 9451KB File Version: 12.1.0.882
How many libpng10.dll files are on your system? List all instances. - 1 instance is on the system located in C;\Program Files\Business Objects\Business Objects Enterprise 12.0\win32_x86 directory. It is dated 9/13/08 8:52:26AM 132KB version 1.0.30.1
Any additional comments - We have tried to export to PDF and this works successfully. However, we can not export to xls or rft formats.
CRXF_XLS.dll is 905KB 9/13/08 9:38AM Version 12.1.0.882
CRXF_RTF.dll is 509KB 9/13/08 9:35AM Version 12.1.0.882
We also have the CR XIR2 server runtime installed side by side on the server as we migrate from CR 2008 to CR XIR2 SP4 ( where this function does work currently).

We've been doing some testing in-house and haven't reproduced this behavior. In order to figure this issue out we will need your help. If you are getting this error please reply to this post with the following information:
Server Operating System
Version of the .NET Framework
How did you deploy?
If you deployed with CRRuntime_12_0_mlb.msi - what was the date of the file and its size?
What is the file version of crpe32.dll on your server? You'll find this in the C:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\win32_x86 directory
How many libpng10.dll files are on your system? List all instances.

What We Know
The error invalid export DLL or export format may occur when exporting to Excel and RTF formats in .NET applications utilizing the Crystal Reports 2008 runtime (v 12.0)
Other export formats like Adobe PDF, Crystal Reports, CSV all export with no error
Some customers have resolved this by adding C:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\win32_x86 to their environment path variables
This may have something to do with the file libpng10.dll. Both crxf_xls.dll and crxf_rtf.dll are dependent on it.

I am also having the same problem, except that I am not using Crystal Report 2008 runtime but the actual Crystal Report 2008 installation on Windows XP SP2 with VS Studio 2005 (VC++). MS .NET Framework 2.0.
Cyrstal Report XIR2 was installed on the same machine but uninstalled before installing Crystal Report 2008.
So only one instance of libpng10.dll and found in C:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\win32_x86
Crpe32.dll        3/1/2008 version 12.0.0.683
Crxf_xls.dll       3/1/2008 version 12.0.0.683
Crxf_rtf.dll         3/1/2008 version 12.0.0.683

There is no problem for exporting to pdf, html, word, csv, Crystal Report. If I create a testing report without any data from database, the testing report can then be exported also to rtf and xls.
Oracle 11.1.0.6 is the DB for the reports.
Adding C:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\win32_x86 to the path did not resolve my problem.
Any idea to fix this issue?

How can i create a printable format with Java

First, my english is not good, but this is possibly my last hope!! I have a program with EJB's, JBoos and a MySql database! The program shows the data from the database and you can do something with these data. Now my problem to print this data. I want create a formular which will be print! I've treid ut with docbook and the javax.print library.
The first problem is: with linux docbook works very fine. I transform the sgml-file in many formats with "db2pdf or db2ps......"
but the javax.print library don't find any printservice! I've J2EE 1.4.1 where the bug canceld from the earlier version!
So the next problem is: with windows the javax.print library works fine! I find the printservices and can print *.ps or *.pdf! But i can't transform the sgml-file in Postscipt or PDF!
I've tried to solve this problem for two weeks now, but without any success.
Now my Question is: have somebody experiences with this problem and can help me or is there another possibility to solve my problem!!!

1. ur english is wonderful for a programmer, are u US :)
2. i will suggest u create an XML file.
then u can print it and do the hell with it.
so : java ==> XML ==> what ever u want.
and if u can also what ever u want ==> XML ==> java.
this works also fine.

Is it possible to maintain multiple payment formats with in a single program.
For example let us assume that we have created 2 payments formats as 'XX-PAY1' & 'XX-PAY2'.
When i select the parameter as '1' then 'XX-PAY1' has to run else 'XX-PAY2'.
if its possible could you please tel us where to define the parameters in Setups.

How do you print with StdOut.println once at a time with equal probability!

Hello everyone!
I tried finding this in the FAQ, but nothing really came close to my unique situation. I am trying to write a method before the main method to report to the user that their guess is too high, in a game where the computer picks a number from 0 to 1000.
I have four different statements to let the user know that the guess is too high, here is the code:
public static void reportTooHigh() {
StdOut.println("Wow come on.. too high!");
StdOut.println("Too high buster.");
StdOut.println("Too high, LOL.");
StdOut.println("WOOWWAAAWEEWAAHH.. too high!"); When I use this method in my main method by typing ProgramName.reportTooHigh(), it prints out all of the statements. Any suggestions on how to get them to print out one at a time with equal probability?
