Lenovo s920 internal storage problems
hi, i bought a lenovo s920 3 months ago, and i found that the internal storage is getting lower and lower. I tried uninstalling the apps that I have installed previously, the internal storage did move up, but not long after that, the internal storage is running low again. Further, i just note that when i clear my mobile browser cache, the internal storage reduces even more instead of increasing (which should not be the case). I have just lost 5mb of internal storage after i cleared the cache for the browser. May i know why is that so? and what is eating up the internal storage even though i have uninstalled most of the apps? I used the browser to surf the web very frequently, does this reduces my internal storage as well, despite that i have cleared all the cache and data? I would be grateful if someone could provide with a solution to free the internal storage as i have only 15mb internal storage left. thank you.
I doubt that the lenovo guys ever come on as I have never seen them before. Anyway I have this phone as well as the 32gb SD card but my phone was one of the earlier batch with only 2GB internal storage, so I have even worse problems faced by those with the newer S920 with 4GB internal storage. Do follow the steps of what was mention earlier by ong6633- install app cache cleaner , use it frequently
- uninstall some apps which never use , eg:google news stand , google play books ( which i never use) , the ram will increased to 100mb++ , so you manage to update apps at this time...
-the google news stand and play book will auto update again because it is a default android apps.
-manually clean cache, system> setting>apps>choose apps which data you dun need > clear data.. then it will release some ram. Also on the settings, Apps "Move to External Storage" for everything possible. Some Apps dont allow you to do so and you cant uninstall them. So for those apps that you dont use and cant be uninstalled (example Google Play Books, Google XXXX) - Uninstall updates and clear data & cache. It will free up some space.

S920 came with just 2G internal storage and in no time, it already up the neck, while another 2G is sitting there doing nothing (as i have a 32G SD card installed). I really need a bigger memory for all my works.
Can Lenovo officially give an official release in order to extend current internal memory of 2G to 4G?

install app cache cleaner , use it frequently
always keep internal ram at minimum 60mb+- and above, less than tat will cause insufficient storage.

the google news stand and play book will auto update again because it is a default android apps.

ICS on 2GB A1 - internal storage problem.

It is possible to flash 2GB A1 version to the newest ICS from OTA .... but .... after that we have only 240 MB internal storage available. Is there any fix for that possible ?

I wouldn't install it unless you think you can get all the apps you want in 240mb. HC/ICS forces apps to use internal memory. They create an "internal SD" that is really just a folder on the internal memory. -
Iphone4s internal storage problem?
I have iphone 4s. 16GB using for 3months now. i get 13.6gb free storage that is what is shows in setting>usage when i bought the phone.
I have few applications and the total used was 2.5GB and free was 11.1GB. Today suddenly the used was 3.3GB and free was 10.3GB i did not download anything. and now its 3.4GB and free 10.2GB without downloading anything.
if i total all the application usage its just 212MB. where is all the other spaced used?

There are several ways on how to correct the used storage if you research on the Web. Most are not approved by Apple. The only way I know how to do this, is to Restore the iPhone Firmware.
Maybe this would work if you want to stay on 5.1.1, Settings App > General > Reset > Reset All Settings. See if this works. If not try, Settings App > General > Erase All Content and Settings. See if this works. If not, then you may have to Restore. Your iPhone seems to have more than enough space available for you at this time, so leave it alone and just enjoy your iPhone. -
Available internal storage zero after problem happened with iCloud shared photo stream
after I tired to upload large amount of photos to iCloud shared photo stream(2gb), which is larger than the available internal storage (only 300 mb left ). and then my iPhone stop me from uploading , said that my phone got no sufficient storage available . so, I cancel the upload, but my available internal storage is still zero. I don't know what to do, and I delete the whole (empty) album, which I targeted to upload photo to it. but even after I delete the album, my available internal storage is still zero. it suppose to return my free space(return to 300mb of free space). can any one help me with this ??
i tried to delete apps to free up the space. i tried to delete a few apps and I manage to get back 200 my of free space but after a short while, the available free space go back to zero again...d my phone to be zero available internal storage.

Ideapad A10 - Internal Storage 1G Limitation Major Problem
I have had the A10 Ideapad for less than 2 days and have installed a handful of apps. I am now told that there is not enough storage for additional applicaitons. The 16g internal stoge has been divided up into 1G internal storage and the remainder "nand" storage.
This seems to have been spetacularly short-sighted as now I am out of storage for apps which insist on being instlaled on the internal partition. How can I resize the "internal storage" partition or at least force apps to install on the "nand" parition or to SD card. I would prefer not to root the device and not to have to install any move2sd apps.
thanksYeah, I reckon that someone cut a deal with them to kill the A10. Why would you release a product like this? It an ideal prodcut for me, if it worked, but it seems the industry is really keen not to produce something like the eee pc again. They want to keep prices up and not produce cheap, semi-disposable machines.
I liked the A10 because of its price point. I can take it with me in situations where I wouldn't want to risk a more expensive machine like the beach or on long haul flights. I can just chuck it in a backpack and not worry too much about it getting damaged.
This is the first the lenovo I bought. Its definitely the last too. -
So many BB with internal storage have problems, loading stuck at 75% will RIM release fix/patch?
i have seen many of my friends and people around me who is using BB with internal storage (9900, 9930, 9860, 9850, 9810) after battery pull, it will stuck at 75% loading process (the progress stop at letter "e")
some of them can be repair by reset factory setting using desktop manager, with all data wiped out since we can't do backup if the loading process is not done, but after we use it for a while it will be damaged and after battery pull it will stuck at 75% loading process.
and this is a real pain in the **bleep** because,
1. we lose all the data inside
2. we don't have time to wait for repair or replacement, as in my country it will take 30 days to get results
3. and we are afraid of restarting the phone thinking of it will stuck somedays who knows
i really want to know if RIM/BlackBerry ever notice this problem that is happening all over the world with their devices? (if you google, you can see many users of BB have posted this kind of problem everywhere)
will they ever come up with a software patch/fix?
i'm using a 9930 and i get nervous everytime i have to restart or do battery pull so far i have encounter 3 times external memory corrupted and can't be repaired (microsd) which came up after i restart the phone, and i can't get all the data inside it back again fully, i already use data recovery program to retrieve the corrupted data and lost some pictures
and i found out that i "think" maybe it is because i'm using save chat history feature to the external storage... i got about 1000 contacts and a lot of history files stored in the microsd.

Lenovo K900 review with problems...! Please help...!

I used to have a Samsung galaxy note1(gt n7000) for about 18 Months
A good phone but a sluggish one.. Especially with the android 4.1.2..
So it was time for an upgrade...
I dint find a elegant phone than the LENOVO K900 in the 5+" segment.. note3 feels a little dull in front OF K900(MY OPINION)
At last got the k900
THE USER INTERFACE(Lenovo launcher)
minor comparison to the touchWIZ(NOTE1)
CONS
it was hard.. But fast
lot of options missed out..(clammed to be heavily customized my lenovo.. but why..?)
very few widgets.. Difficult to add them too.. :-(
no widget for FM Radio
NO task manager
no clipboard and swipe option in the keyboard..
cudn't change system font.
Limitation on number of widgets per page
only 1 theam and dint let me add any...
About 9.5GB out of 16GB for the user is less but manageable.. (come on its not a PC)
Battery is a little weird.. It not consistent.. may be an issue with the program

Lock screen is better(I liked it)
2GB of ram a delight for multitasking.. i don't know about high end games as i m not interested
Page transition Effects(lot of them) can be changed which looks gr8..

an app called lenovo power.. a very good one theoretically..! but doesn't really atand up to what it shows..
Issues i could fix (i am a mechanical engineer not a software guy.. but managed a little by digging around)
1. TEXTING(very important stuff)
-swipe option from touchpal X(an app)
2. User interface(Partly fixed for my requirement)
-Nova launcher(its highly customizable)
it let me change and customize my user interface..
ISSUES I HAVE FOR WHICH I NEED HELP
1. the region around the camera(13mp shouter) heats with a continuous use for about 5min.. and keeps on increasing further.... it affects the camera.. I.e.., the camera's auto focus looses focus(by this time the surrounding region is very hot to hold)..
2. the battery is not consistent..
3.there is no power saving mode to reduce the power consumption when idel..
Is there a way to underclock the processor to reduce power consumtion without rooting..?Am into the 4th month of using K900.
Further to the battery problems that everyone is talking of there is a process that needs to be followed with this phone.
Plus contrary to popular beleif, there IS a difference between lithium-ion & lithium-polymer batteries. Marry it to a power intensive Intel processor along with 2GB of RAM & you have yourself a battery guzzler.
Steps to improve battery life
1. Firstlly, the 5.2v charger provided with your K900 better be your best friend. I messed my battery up for a week by using my wife's Samsung Galaxy S4 charger (5.1v charger - close enough, right? WRONG!!!). Battery began portraying commonly mentioned issues of complete battery drain within 7 - 10 hours, phone switching off @ 15% battery indication & after a few more (incorrect) charging @ 22%, etc.
2. Treat this phone like a laptop. Laptop batteries need priming. The better you prime, the more you would be increasing the battery life (Both for per charge & number of successful charges). So what is priming? Simply follow diligently the instructions that the "Lenovo Power" app mentions under the "Charging" tab. Please ensure 100% charging at every charging cycle as much as you can (However, 100% charging on every alternate charging cycle is a MUST). FYI, Quick Charge feature is useless. It'll only cause dissonance. Also, let the battery discharge to 15% or so & then charge it back to 100%. Furthermore, it would be beneficial for the battery if you would leave the phone connected to the charger upto 0.5 - 1.0 hour after reaching the 100% mark.
3. Some apps will EAT THROUGH your battery & heat the hell out of your phone if used continuously for long durations such as Candy Crush, CSR Racing, Fruit Ninja, etc. So don't blame the phone or battery, it's just the way the app is built.
4. This is a 1080p 5.5-inch super LCD screen. It will consume battery & significant amounts of it too. Also, your Accelerometer, GPS, etc. sensors also consume a lot of battery. So the next time you have your "Auto Rotate" feature on, it will consume your battery 15% - 20% faster than when it is disabled.
However, there are some glaring troubles that Lenovo seems to be facing with product development. Straight-up, the 16GB non-expandable internal storage is a gross mistake. Fine, so you came up with a 32GB version too in late November. Where is this replacement option for existing users of the 16GB version? I don't want to use the cluncky OTG feature!!
The battery capacity is definitely lower than what it should have been. Lithium-Polymers cannot hold charge for extended periods of time, however are great for operating in widely varying temperatures and for the flexible form-factors. My 1 day old Lenovo P780 (for Work) has a 4,000 mAh Lithium-Polymer battery with a smaller & lower resolution screen, obviously it will last 3 days with heavy usage. Did you guys mean to place THIS battery in the K900 originally & realized that the product design would not be ready for the mass marketing in time, at your newly acquired Lithium-Polymer battery supplier? Lenovo.....I seriously would not have minded a slightly thicker K900 with more battery say 3,500 mAh or even 4,000 mAh.
Plus, the latter versions of my second phone (i.e. the 8GB version of P780) have a lot of things ironed out in the Android 4.2.1 version that it is running. Would you beleive it, the phone actually offers me a bunch of themes to choose from, Auto Rotate feature for a few native apps too, interface problems have been dissipated, plus there is BATTERY CALIBRATION option in it (How cool !!).
Lenovo really really needs to give us everything that they have developed for their latest phones in their flagship K900. Dell makes Intel phones, so does Asus & now Acer has also ventured into it. Everyone faces issues because of the seamless integration of software & the alien Intel hardware required, but not available (& therefore needs to be developed, tested, tested & tested by these computer giants). You guys have the infrastructure & ppl to do it!! So do it!! Blue Ocean Strategy ppl......c'mon !!!
Also, Lenovo needs to do some buyer research. Most of the loyal users of K900 (Worldwide) are previous Intel processor users (Phonewise). We Intel-users have a habit of keeping these phones for a good 2 - 3 years. With this kind of a battery & the tedious process of taking care of it, my dreams of long & solid use have gone POOF!! But you still have to make good the money you have spent on this phone, right? So therefore Im trying to look at the positives..............MOSTLY!!
I personally don't care about upgraded OS version numbers. I don't mind everyone running the 4.4 Kit Kat, while I'm still running the MOST STABLE & the FASTEST available version of 4.2.1 in the entire market.
Last words........Lenovo......A sincere request.......Please give me something I can be proud of.......Usage-wise & not just Looks-wise.

I am very troubled with my ipod touch because I don't see my ipod folder showing up on my computer. i have tried all possible ways to make it viewable but somehow i end up seeing only my internal storage (dcim/pictures). Its really frustrating because bought a new laptop with windows 8 and installed a new itunes but only to find out that i cant transfer my songs right away.... I can connect my ipod touch to the itunes swiftly but to transfer my songs from my ipod to my computer is such a hassle. so please if anyone could help me figure this out... Error -2500 Internal storage VI error
Hello,
I am trying to continuously stream data from seven channels from my NI USB-6211 DAQ card. At the same time I am generating a continuous sine wave and write it to one of my analogue outputs on the same card.
I’d like to stream the data generated and measured continuously and simultaneously to a file. I have chosen TDMS as this seems to be most appropriate for the application.
The problem I am having is that available samples per channel gives me back 0 when I am not in highlight execution. I tried to overcome this by setting the samples to read input at the DAQmx Read VI to -1 and have a wait function to not read too often but this didn’t help. Furthermore, I installed TDMS 2.0 without any success. The error I am getting is -2500 and it says "Internal storage VI error". Does anyone have an idea what I am doing wrong?
Also, it would help quite a lot if I could have a time axis for the analogue output and one for the analogue input group so I can look at the time delays introduced by my circuit. Does anybody know how to do this, so I have a time stamp for each sample like in the express VI? Or any other way to find the relationship between the data of the two groups when sampling is carried out at different rates?

sync data.JPG 135 KBOk, so I wasn't sure what you ment exactly. I have tried to do the same with just the TDMS VIs. It seems to be working fine. I don't get any errors and the TDMS file seems complete too.
I had the feeling DAQmx Read (just the one in the upper loop) gives the error as it doesn't seem to detect any samples to read. Which would also explain why I don't get the error in highlight execution, because then there are samples to read. This is why I added the wait VI in the loop and made it 3s hoping this will allow some samples to be collected in the buffer but there just don't seem to be any samples.
I have attached an image of the TDMS VI I just tried out, I can add more things if you have any ideas...

my pictures from my i phone 4s wont import from auto play. a message keeps coming up saying there is an error and a device is not working properly. also i have tried going into the internal storage to copy and paste them but that wont work either. the page either stops responding or the picture simply dont copy. does any1 have any idea why this is happening. it has never happened before and only seems to be happening since i started using i cloud storage instead of synching my phone with the lap top.

Today I discovered a new treasure of doggie poop in Lion. No Save As......
I repeat. No Save As. In text editor I couldn't save the file with a new extension. I finally accomplished this oh so majorly difficult task (because we all know how difficult it should be to save a file with a new extension) by pressing duplicate and then saving a copy of the file with a new extension. Yet then I had to delete the first copy and send it to trash. And of course then I have to secure empty trash because if I have to do this the rest of my mac's life I will be taking up a quarter of percentage of space with duplicate files. So this is the real reason they got rid of Save As: so that it would garble up some extra GB on the ole hard disk.
So about 20 minutes of my time were wasted while doing my homework and studying for an exam because I had to look up "how to save a file with a new extension in mac Lion" and then wasted time sitting here and ranting on this forum until someone over at Apple wakes up from their OSX-coma.
are you freaking kidding me Apple? I mean REALLY?!!!! who the heck designed this?!!! I want to know. I want his or her name and I want to sit down with them and have a long chat. and then I'd probably splash cold water on their face to wake them up.

When i plug my monitor to the motherboard VGA port, there's no display on the monitor. However, when i plug my monitor into the Video card's VGA port, there's display.
What's wrong with it? This is my second lenovo with the same problem. I didnt do anything to it. It is my first day using it. Also, i called Lenovo Tech Support, they remotely helped me do all of the driver update....You must enable multi-monitor support if you wish to use the internal graphics when a graphics card is installed.

There is a solved thread on this page about this error. The solution is to replace the battery because its storage capacity is low. The right part number can be found in a maintenance and service guide. Go to Support and Drivers page, enter your model and look in User Guides section.
