Lenovo Screen Extreme Flicker - Intel HD Graphics

Hello,I bought a new laptop few days ago - Lenovo Yoga 500-14, but I have a big issue with it.Whenever I install the Intel HD Graphics drivers, the screen gets REALLY bad, flickers and vertical lines:http://i.imgur.com/Tt38xjR.jpg The nvidia driver works without any problem, but the moment I install the intel driver, I can't use the laptop, everything is like in the picture...So I just restore to the last point it actually worked well, and without drivers...(Running win 8.1, tried windows 7 - same issue)  Please help!

  • Lenovo G510, the Intel HD Graphics 4600 and Radeon 8750M, will not work!

    Good evening,
    I have a Lenovo G510, 59401564, i7 with Intel HD Graphics 4600 and Radeon 8750M graphics card.
I have problems with graphics cards to get it to work permanently!
The installation of the graphics card driver works fine but after about 30 minutes an hour, crashes the laptop and a bright blue screen is shown "VIDEO_DXGKRNL_FATAL_ERROR".
After a restart, the Graffikarten are disabled, a small window says that the driver must be reinstalled.
I have the Windows 8.1 64-bit, drivers from the Lenovo website uses. To reinstall, I used Catalyst_13.12_WHQL_UnifL_R3.01.exe.
I've been trying to determine two days why.
I really need help, I think more users have the same problem.
I am grateful for any help!

  • Power Map causes Intel HD Graphics Driver to crash or Blue Screen (BAD_POOL_HEADER)

    Hello,
I have a user who is attempting to use Excel 2013's Power Map Add-in, however, he had this to say:
"I can regionally map counties without an issue, but the Zip Code mapping is
always giving me problems. It may be because there are so many zips in the

He is using a Lenovo 440p laptop with Windows 7 Professional x64 and I have already updated his Intel HD graphics driver using the official driver tool from Intel, has well
as Lenovo's driver update software. Also, here are some screenshots below. Are there plans for a hotfix or can someone advise on a solution? Thank you.

same problem here, easily shows column, bubble or heat map but crashes every time when I choose region map. Trying to draw 64 countries and one single value column on a world map. any solutions?

MacBookPro5,1 LED screen flicker on either graphics card on lowest brightness setting. Definitely noticeable and annoying when using the lowest power settings to extend battery life during school usage. Has been happening since I got the machine.
Also new out of the box the screen isn't aligned properly with the base of the unit. Like it got knocked around during manufacture, anyone have this issue?
Also my serial number does not show up in Apple's systems as a sold machine even though I have a proof of purchase. I called 800 APL CARE to resolve the issue, they were looking into it and haven't gotten back to me either, this was weeks ago....
Anyone think I should buy APP?

Your underpowered system may get by if you edit SD DV material, but is way out of its league when editing AVCHD or Red or DSLR material.
Without further info to go on, you have the following problems:
    Not enough memory
    No dedicated nVidia video card
    Insufficient PSU
    No hard disks
About the only thing good about your system is the CPU, but there it ends. Everything else needs to be improved. How much depends on your source material, your workflow, your destination format and all those data were severely missing.

  • Lenovo g570 - problems after updating intel hd graphics

    Hello!
I think i came across a small bug. Don't know for sure which software is to blame, but i think it's the Lenovo Energy Management's  fault.
I bought a lenovo g570, with intel integrated graphics driver. Installed w7 64 sp1, drivers from DVD. After a while windows update popuped with intel hd graphics new driver. After installing it, the brightness indicator (the thing that pops up when u change the brightness from the keyboard) got stuck at level 2 even if the display brightness was changing.
After 2 days i changed my mind and installed w7 32 sp1  after finding out it was a bit pointless to have it these days when lots of programs are running on 32bits. The same thing happened on this windows. The brightness indicator got stuck.
The mind**bleep** thing (or not) is that after reverting to the old graphics driver, everything was working ok and the brightness indicator got unstucked.

Same here in Lenovo G 470, I have tried three times installing and rollbacking, but the problem still remains same.
Actually before updating graphic driver if you keep your brightness indicator at 'x' level, then after updation, it will always stuck at the 'x' level, although the brightness is changing.
But I think it is not a serious issue if everything else is working file, So you could keep your driver updated.

  • Lenovo B570e Intel HD Graphics - nVidia Display Driver

    Hi Guys
Iv got a small problem, and I'm struggling to get my head around it! Im installing Windows 7 pro 64Bit from scratch. I normally do chipset drivers first, then i move on to the others and finnish of by doing a windows update.
My problem is when i come to install the nVidia Optimus Display Driver the install appears to fail, windows message pops up towards the end and says something like "hasn't installed propley would you like to try reinstall the recommended way"
Am i right in thinking the nVidia Optimus Display Driver should install the intel drivers too?
My Next step was to try install the Intel HD Graphics (Integrated) from the lenovo site, after installing the machine wont boot back into windows. Had to remove the driver package with safemode.
Iv tried all kinds of combinations and driver packages with the same result.
Anyone else come across this, i welcome as much help as possible.
    Many Thanks
    Giles.

  • Windows 8 failure to load after restart - stuck on automatic repair or Lenovo screen

    I have a 1 week old Lenovo G580
     Intel Core i3 3110M(2.40GHz) 15.6" 4GB Memory DDR3 1600 500GB HDD 5400rpm DVD±R/RW Intel HD Graphics 4000
Came with Windows 8 x64 ent
    Had previously been working beautifully.
I closed the lid to put it to sleep and when I opened it back up the sound driver was not working.
    So I restarted Windows.
Ever since that restart, I can not get windows to load.
It either gets stuck on the black Lenovo screen or goes into the Automatic Repair mode, tries diagnosing my PC.  Some of the times the error feedback it has given me is to search online for CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED.....but none of what I have found helps.
The automatic repair eventually prompts me to do a system restore.  However, when I click 'Restore' it then goes to the Black Lenovo screen for about an hour.  I haven't had the patience to let it sit like that for more than an hour, and IMO with ZERO feedback on the restore process I guess that means there was some restore failure.
I was finally able to get into the Lenovo Setup Utility (pressing F2 IMMEDIATELY on powerup) but so far none of the boot option changes have helped.
Is there any other way to do a 'hard restore' while saving my data?  Is there a way to update the BIOS or registry options from the setup utility?  I'm feeling extremely limiting because the setup utility is the only alternative screen I can reach.
    Anything helps,
    Thanks.

    SO it finally restored.
I guess the system restore with windows 8/lenovo just takes several hours and gives no feedback during the process. Just the black screen with lenovo. So I left that on for 3+ hours and it restored to a previous date. yay!

  • Repeated error from Intel integrated Graphics card in my brand-new B320

    Hi
I am getting repeated errors from the Intel Integrated Graphics card (on the Intel i3 chip as I understand it) in my brand-new B320.
I checked via a tool from Intel that my drivers were up-to-date (version 15.22.1.2361).
I checked via Device Manager Update Drivers that my driver was up-to-date.
I attempted to uninstall and re-install my driver BUT the uninstall reverted me to a VGA Adapter (so my screen was then running in a low res 800x600 mode!) and I could not even then see the Intel Integrated Graphics card in Device Manager to be able to re-install the driver against (even if I ran scan for new hardware): I had to restore to a System Restore Point - so the problem has of course come back.
I have even had one error where the screen then went completely blank and nothing would bring it back: I had to power off the PC (Ouch!)
PLEASE advise how I rectify this incredibly frustrating problem step-by-step.

    hey johnestlea,
i was going through the download list of the B320 here : http://consumersupport.lenovo.com/us/en/DriversDownloads/drivers_list.aspx?CategoryID=156819
And could not find any driver with the version 15.22.1.2361 for the Intel Integrated Graphic Card. Where did you get that version ?

  • T420s not getting Windows 7 Aero effect with newest 8.15.10.2769 Intel HD Graphics driver

Updated with the lenovo update tool to the newes Graphics driver.
Now i do not see the Aero effect in Windows 7.
My Machine: 4170CTO with Intel Graphics
When running the Win7 Aero effect troubleshooting tool it says that the "color depth is set too low".
When trying to open up the Intel graphics panel it will not show the GUI.
Opening the Lenovo ThinkVantage tool it will not show on the screen as well.
    And the PC is slower.
I am happy to roll back to a previous driver version, however do not know how to get access to one.
    Thanks, R.

    Hey Robohofo,
I'm glad you were able to fix your computer, though its never fun to have to do a Clean wipe to get an issue fixed. Though I know this is late maybe if you come across this issue again one other thing you could do is Un-install the driver and then Re-install it.
    Best Regards,

  • X1 Carbon 3rd.gen Chrome crashes on Youtube videos after Intel HD Graphics Driver 10.18.14.42 update

    Hi!
Chrome crashes at Youtube videos after Intel HD Graphics Driver 10.18.14.4206 update on Lenovo X1 Carbon 3rd.gen. Since the driver update yesterday, laptop starts suddenly to overheat enormously and become super-noisy as soon as I try to open a Youtube video , no matter on Youtube page, or a external provider with embded youtube video. Chrome becomes unresponsible and has to be terminated. Laptop continues to use fan at extreme level for abot 20 more seconds and then cools down. IE plays youtube videos without problem and all the other videos from Facebook i.e. are playing. Tried original and also Beta version of Chrome, which doesn't help.
    Kind regards,Daniil

Hey guys, T450s user here. I think I found an even better workaround for this issue without having to disable hardware acceleration and lower the performance of Chrome as a whole. After long trial and error I found the that driver-related issue is generally narrowed-down to HTML5 acceleration for video playback. By installing the following Chrome Extension I was able to revert YouTube back to the old Flash-based YouTube player and now even 4K playback is absolutely stellar on my T450s running the latest .4222 driver directly from Intel's site! https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/24964/Intel-Iris-Iris-Pro-and-HD-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-7-8-8-1-64-bit This is of course by no means a fix of any kind but I think it is the best workaround that we have to this date without having to sacrifice performance in Chrome as a whole. Try it out guys! https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/disable-youtube-html5-pla/enmofgaijnbjpblfljopnpdogpldapoc?utm_source=chrome-app-launcher-info-dialog

  • Intel HD Graphics

I had a system board upgrade as the BIOS had failed on my M92z all-in-one. Now that is solved, but I no longer have the Intel HD graphics device but just an AMD graphics device. How do I get the Intel graphics back? I don't see any entry in the BIOS to turn it on or off. The graphics now seem to be low resolution even though they seem to be running at maximum pixels. It's like when you install the operating system before you adjust the screen resolution. There seems to be no HD device in the list of devices.
    Solved!

    or not?
It is up to the motherboard BIOS whether or not the machine supports "dual graphics mode".  This is like in many laptops, which includes a discrete graphics upgrade (such as nVidia K1000M in Lenovo W530 machines) to go along with the built-in Intel internal graphics (like HD4000 that is automatically provided on Intel CPU's which is also present in Lenovo W530 machines).
If this dual available GPU's is the hardware configuration, then the BIOS will provide a Config -> Display option to describe how you want to operate.  Typically this is either (1) internal Intel graphics only, (2) discrete nVidia/AMD graphics only, or (3) some type of "dual-graphics" mode using both available GPU's intelligently.  In the case of Lenovo's W530 laptops this last dual-graphics intelligent mode is called "Optimus mode", which describes a BIOS-controlled behavior where the low-power low-heat internal Intel HD4000 graphics is used for all normal graphics situations, until/unless the need for graphics performance/horsepower increases beyond some threshold in which cases the BIOS automatically kicks in the more powerful K1000M to life.  The idea here is to conserve battery power if you're running in portable mode and you don't need any super graphics capability, but to automatically activate the higher-performing available discrete graphics capability if/when needed.  This is all controlled by the hardware/BIOS, sensing your graphics needs as you operate.
In Optimus mode, BOTH of the GPU's will appear in Device Manager.  And there are TWO sets of graphics drivers installed, one for the Intel HD4000 graphics and a second for the nVidia K1000M chip.  Both devices appear in Device Manager because the BIOS activated both of them.  And then the BIOS Optimus technology controls which of the two GPU's is used at any moment, depending on graphics performance requirements at that moment.
For desktop machines, typically dual graphics mode is NOT present (unless, again, supported by a BIOS option similar to what I described above for the W530 laptop). Typically the BIOS auto-senses the presence or absence of an additional discrete graphics chip.  If present, it automatically supersedes the use of any other available built-in Intel onboard CPU-based graphics capability.  Essentially this is auto-sensing equivalent of the "discrete graphics only" choice in the W530 BIOS setup option.  Without getting into the BIOS of your machine it's not known if an alternative equivalent to the "internal graphics only" choice is available as well, which would then disable the AMD graphics and revert to the internal Intel graphics.
Inevitably, if a discrete graphics chip/card is available on a desktop machine, you either installed it yourself to get better graphics performance or it came from the vendor to provide better graphics performance.  Almost universally any discrete graphics option performance will be superior to Intel's internal HD graphics implementations, typically including additional dedicated graphics memory and faster GPU's.  That's why people use discrete graphics, even if their CPU's came with Intel built-in graphics capability.  Sure, Intel graphics will work and use lower power and generate less heat.  but it also doesn't have dedicated graphics memory, and doesn't have the high-performance specs of the discrete graphics option.
Again, it's unlikely your desktop mobo supports "dual-graphics mode" as laptop boards typically do (at least the ones from Lenovo do support Optimus mode for their add-on NVidia chips).  I'd forget about looking for the Intel HD graphics which is in all likelihood a lesser performing graphics option than the AMD graphics which is now shown in Device Manager for your machine.  I'd work to get the correct driver installed (if it's not already installed) for your installed AMD chip, and configure it for proper high-resolution as you want (right-click on desktop and select "screen resolution").
Presumably Lenovo provides the correct AMD driver file on the support site certified for use on your particular machine.  It is possible that the AMD site isn't providing the correct driver for your machine, although it might well work.  I'd start first with the Lenovo-provided AMD driver for your machine from the Lenovo support site, as that is guaranteed to work and provide the expected performance and available resolutions for your screen.
