LENOVO SECURITY SUITE. PORT MANAGEMENT. LOCK-OUT

I have just purchased an IdeaPad V460. I configured the Lenovo Security Suite Port Management facility so that I would protect my notebook from unchecked USB intrusions. I did that, guided by the program´s step-by-step process, including introducing a password. I used a very well known (to me) password. It turned out that I can´t unlock the USB ports using that password I entered (I duly registered it, in writing, as I entered it).
How can I find the password that is keeping me from using the ports or "undo" whatever went wrong and unlock my ports?

  • Norton Security Suite Version 22 is out

    I read on a recent post that Norton Security Suite 22 is out.  I unistalled version 21 and did a reinstall and version 22 installed.  It looks different.  A screen shot is below.   I have my notice for Windows 10 update which I will be installing Thursday.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
    When your account becomes disabled, Apple provides the following recommendation:
    "This message means that someone tried and failed to sign in to your account multiple times. The Apple ID system disables the account to prevent unauthorized people from gaining access to your information. You need to reset your password, following the instructions at the Apple ID website".
    Visit iForgot.com and follow the instructions there.
    In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")
    Providing you are simply updating your existing details and not changing to another account, when you delete your account, all the data that is synced with iCloud will also be deleted from the device (but not from iCloud), but will be synced back to your device when you login again.
    In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your computer, you need to sign out of the account from your computer first, then sign back in using your updated details. (System Preferences > iCloud, click the sign out button)
    In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iTunes account on your iOS device, you need to sign out from your iOS device first, then sign back in using your updated details. (Settings > store, scroll down and tap your ID)
    If that doesn't help you might try contacting Apple through iTunes Store Support

  • Locked out of macbook pro by a software update restart

    Every time I update suggested software from the Mac App Store that includes an item requiring a restart, typically a security update, I am locked out of my computer upon restart.  For years I have set my login to: my full name and a blank password, automatic.  At restart, I get stuck in an endless loop of the name and password screen, accepting my entries, 2-3 seconds of gray screen, then the name and password screen.  I can't count the times I have reinstalled my OS to solve this.  At least 20!!  It is as time consuming as it is infuriating.  I have even wiped my hard drive clean and restored my info to a new user.  Still, no love.
    Any clues?
