Lenovo SK-8825 (L) keyboard "Print Screen" function?

Hi everyone!
I have a Lenovo SK-8825 (L) keyboard at work, and I don't see any "Print Screen", "PrtSc" key!
Is there any way to perform that function using this keyboard?
Thank you!

On the SK-8825 keyboard it is next to the F12 key on the righthand side of the upper row.

  • Print Screen Function Doesn't Work

    I just purchased a new 15.4" Pavilion laptop (DV5-1235dx) and cannot get the Print Screen function to work.  I've tried everything.  One source tells me to hit ALT and PRTSC at the same time.  Another HP help suggestion says to hit the FN and PRTSC keys.  I get no copy/paste function whatsoever.  I also tried the shift key and PRTSC and it was no dice on that either.  On my laptop...the PRTSC and INSERT key share the same key.
    A routine function like this should not be this difficult.
    Anybody out there got a suggestion or two about what to try. HP Support has been, frankly, awful.

    Below find two possible answers to your issue on Print Screen.  I hope one or both of these help.
    1. Print Screen
    2. Snip
    Print Screen:
    Which keys one uses to get a screen print does depend on the OS (eg. Vista or Windows 7) and the keyboard hardware.
    Example:  HDX 18T requires a simple keystroke (PrtScn)  for the Active Window and Alt - PrtScn for the Entire Window.
    In the Help file for same is noted the following.  See Below.
    It is somewhat rude that it's not the same for everyone - it is not unknown to be the case.
    Open your help files and look up "print screen" - ask if you need assistance to get to "Help".
    Below find a link to the manuals that I believe are for your laptop / Notebook.  Your answser may be there if you cannot find it on your system's own help files.

    Help file from an HDX 18T:
    Snip:
    Windows 7 has a "snip" command that one can use to grab any bit of the screen and make it into a .png file.  It's quick, easy, and fast.  Additionally, simple annotations can be added with a "pen" of different colors (circles, and such) to mark the picture as desired.  Brilliant!.  Vista may have this command as well.
    Print the .png file if you need it on paper, embed it in Word, email, whatever...
    Help file on Snip (shown as a "snip png file):
    Good Luck!

  • How to use Print Screen function?

    I've seen various descriptions of how to use the print screen function.
    It would be nice to actually be told one that works.  None have worked for me.
    [Fn] and Prt SCr does not work.
    Ctrl and Prt SCr does not work.
    Ctrl, Alt, and Prt SCr does not work.
    [Fn], Ctrl, and Prt SCr does not work.
    If anyone knows the correct method of activating the print screen function that would be good.
    From the looks of things HP has a big problem with this function.
    This question was solved.

    On my notebook, the Insert key and the prt sc key are the same key, but the prt sc has a ring, around it, if you know what I mean.
    On the bottom left of my keyboard is a key that has fn with a ring around it, or I guess you could say it is in a little box.  By the way, there are a number of keys that have two functions on them, and to activate the second function, you must press the fn key at the same time as the desired function on the key.  In this case press the  fn key and  the prt scr key, and that puts an image of the screen on the clip board and then it can be pasted into Word or where ever.
    Here is somethine else you might like, if you can get it to work as I described above.
    To print only the active window, and not the entire desktop or the entire screen, you can do that by pressing the alt and prt sc at the same time.  Then it only captures to the clip board the window, and not the entire desktop. Oh, and in the scenario with the fn key, it has to be pressed also, so actually it's pressing the fn and alt and print screen all at once.
    I just performed each of the instructions above, and they worked well on my EliteBook 8440.
    Hopefully you have the same experience,

  • How to use Print Screen function (part deux)?

    The previous thread for the Print Screen function has been marked as read only, and won't allow any replies. I tried all of the suggestions (PrtScr, CTRL + C + PrtScr, etc.) and then CTRL V into MS Paint, but Print Screen still doesn't work on my machine.
    I'm running Win 7 on a HP Pavilion laptop cv7-6b32us. I suspect there's a switch somewhere in Win 7 or HP that allows the key to be turned off. I know of this because my previous employer did not want anyone doing print screens due to HIPAA violations. Thus, the functionality was turned off. Those of us in I.T. were provided a third-party software that aloowed us to do the same function, but it was not released to the physicians or nursing staff. If I have to, I'll go out and buy the software. I really need this functionality for a class I'm taking.
    Thanks!

    Hi Vijay,
    to disable it just in your application is no good. You should disable it for the current user at all!
    Did you try to Google "disable keyboard print screen"? There are so many solutions listed...

  • My print screen function won't work on my iPhone 4S anymore

    My print screen function (power and home button being pressed at the same time) has stopped working on my iPhone 4S.  Have I accidentally turned something off? Is anyone else having this problem?

    Well, thanks to a co-worker that was having the same problem on her iPhone 4 and new iPad, we figured out the problem. It is the Good for Enterprise app we have running on our devices for our business' email. Due to our business' policy on the phone, the screenshot is disabled as long as the policy is in effect on the phone. Sure wish they would've told us. Hopefully, this will help anybody else who's having the same problem.

  • Print Screen function in Windows using Mac keyboard

    The following article gives the Windows equivalent keys on the Mac keyboard. On the PC keyboard, "Alt-Print Screen" would be "option-F14". But it doesn't seem to work. What am I doing wrong?

    Disregard question... "alt-F14" works. It was just poor execution.

  • Print Screen function on Tablet A3000-H

    Do you know how to make a print screen on Tablet A3000-H ?

    Why  not use a software that has more features instead?

    The other free one which I had use and found good was Gadwin Printscreen

  • Alt-Print Screen Function

    I would like to have my print function take a alt-printscreen of my drawing so I can capture all of the pop-up windows in my printjob, but I haven't been able to find anything online about how to do this. I'm using Air so I should all of the system access.
    Here's an example of when I do an alt-printscreen. It capture the main file and all of the pop-up windows. I just need Air to take an alt-printscreen like this and print based on it.
    Thanks!

    if you can find the executable you can use air to execute it using the nativeprocess class:
    var process:NativeProcess = new NativeProcess();
    var nativeProcessStartupInfo:NativeProcessStartupInfo = new NativeProcessStartupInfo();
    var file:File = File.applicationDirectory;
    file = file.resolvePath("NativeApps");
    file = file.resolvePath("C:\\WINDOWS\\system32\\cmd.exe");
    if (NativeProcess.isSupported) {
        f();
    } else {
        trace("error");
    function f():void {
        nativeProcessStartupInfo.executable=file;
        process.start(nativeProcessStartupInfo);

  • Control-print-screen button

    hi
    need help..can anyone tell me where i can find the button of the control-print-screen function in the ibook g4 which is equivalent to the same button used in the windows os?
    thanks.

    You can do this two ways:
    1. Many free and inexpensive applications are available for getting Windows screen captures. Search http://www.versiontracker.com or http://www.google.com for a list.
    2. Or, I found this on a different website...
    Go to Accessories/Accessability in the start menu and select the On-Screen Keyboard.
    That will give you a print screen button you can click with your mouse. (Using the On-Screen Keyboard will not change the active window, so you can even grab just the window you want).
    Hope this helps! bill

  • Print Screen while using dual view monitors on Tecra M5

    I've got a Tecra M5, in a docking station, and I am using the laptop screen as primary monitor and an external LCD as the secondary. Whenever I use the Print Screen function I find it copies both screens into the clipboard. Is there a setting on the nvidia controls which will allow me to only copy the "active" screen? To avoid the problem I find I have to return to single screen mode which is very irritating.
    Thanks
    Shuggy

    I assume you use the extended desktop option on your machine
    This happens because the ALT+Print Screen option creates a short cut of the full desktop.
    If you want to create a shortcut of the single desktop you dont have to use the extended desktop option.

  • Print screen button causing project to advance

    I have added some JavaScript to a button in my captivate project using On success > Execute JavaScript > Script Window > window.print()
    This works fine to print the screen, however, clicking the button also makes the project advance to the next slide.
    Any tips on how to acheive the print screen functionality without advancing the slide would be greatly appreciated. We intend to publish using HTML5 output only.
    The majority of elearning projects we work on require a print screen button, it would be a very useful feature were it to be added to Captivate without the need to dabble with JavaScript.
    Many thanks in advance.

    Curious about this one, Lilybiri
    I know you are the queen of actions, but why would you choose to create an action as opposed to simply clearing the "Continue" option here? That would seem the simpler approach.
    Cheers... Rick

  • Print Screen option with N500

    Can You lead me how to use Print Screen function in my N500?
    I cant find PrintSCRN key or Function key fot this option.
    Thank You
    Muli

    I'm not sure about capturing the entire screen, but if there is a portion of the screen you specifically want, try using Shift-Command-4. This will turn the cursor into a crosshair, then you just click and drag the section you want and an image will be created on your desktop.
