Lenovo T440 Sim Card

Can anyone tell me what size the SIM Card is needed for the T440? I'm assuming a full size card, but want to be sure before I order.
Thank you

Hi Corys00,
Welcome to Lenovo Community!
As per your query we understood that you are looking for the SIM card details for ThinkPad T440.
In ThinkPad series for the entire model the SIM slot will be the standard size of SIM, and yes you are right its full size SIM.
Hope this helps!
Best regards,
Hemanth Kumar

  • Lenovo A328 Sim card size

    Hi,
I just bought a Lenovo A328 for my father, and he complains to me that the sim card is doen't fit the card slot.
So I am wondering what is the Lenovo A328 sim card size?  Is it a mini sim card or regular sim?
As I check on the internet, the lenovo official say it is regular size sim card, but my father sim card is regular sim but still can't insert  the sim.
And when I check from other source, some stated that it is a mini sim card slot.
This make me confused, can somebody please tell me what is the card slot size for this model?

    Hi mytc
The Lenovo A328 has 2 Mini SIM card slots. We(in general) refer to the Mini SIM card as the normal/regular SIM card.
I still remember my father's first Motorola cell phone....You had to insert the whole card(credit card size) inside. That was the ''regular'' back then.
I hope you don't take this the wrong way but maybe your father is inserting the SIM card backwards. It happens sometimes.
    Hope this helps.
    Cheers.

  • USSD dialing on lenovo with sim card enabled

I have Lenovo T540p running Windows 8 64 bit. I have installed Mobile Broadband and I am able to browse the internet with the sim card. But the problem is that there is no sevice to access and dial the sim card from the desktop. I can't check balance or load airtime from the desktop. Is there a driver that I need to download so that I can be able to do USSD comand and load airtime? I don't have to remove sim card, load airtime and replace again everytime.

    hi omidboxter,
For using the SIM card (selected models), you will need to:
    1. Make sure the Wide Wireless Lan Driver is installed (see device manager)
    2. Make sure the SIM card is activated and you're within the network coverage area
    3. Use your carrier''ss 3G/4G mobile broadband software to connect (i.e., VZAccess Manager for Verizon, Sprint SmartView for Sprint, etc.)
    For removing the SIM card:
    1. You need to push the SIM card in to eject it. If the SIM card is not ejecting and just keeps being pushed inside, the SIM card slot's spring maybe damged (inserting the SIM card in the wrong direction can damage the SIM card slot), If this happens, you will need to use a Tweezer to take it out.
    Hope this helps.

  • Lenovo P780 - Sim Card Issue

Hi,  I bought the lenovo P780 2 months back.  Suddenly, It is not able to detect any of my sim cards though the sim cards are active. Cant send any messages, make any calls. Says Emergency calls only.  Please suggest a solution.

Same issue was faced by me 4 months back in Dec'14, as my phone was in warranty hence fixes came free, but now from past month I am again facing the same problem but this time warranty had expired. I observed that both the time there was a screw near SIM which went loose. This is pathetic service and is very disappointing, can anybody guide if there is any way to raise issue with Lenovo.deepak123 wrote:

  • Add Verizon SIM card to Lenovo Thinkpad 8 tablet?

I recently purchased a Lenovo Thinkpad 8 tablet that is 4G LTE capable and which has an empty microSIM card slot. Would Verizon offer just the SIM card (and a plan, of course) so that I could take advantage of my tablet's 4G LTE capabilities? I don't know if I actually will or not, but I'm exploring the possibilities.  Thanks for any input.

Congrats on your newly purchased Thinkpad 8, Downeaster59! New electronics are always exciting. I recommend stopping by your local direct VZW store http://bit.ly/3SdsA for more details with regards to working with you on an activation/ adding to your existing plan if available.

  • T440S Smart Card on custom build available?

    Greetings:
Been lurking here for a few days as I learn more about Lenovo and appreciate what I've learned from all!
My question is about the SmartCard slot...   I'm trying to custom configure a T440S and it looks like as soon as I choose Windows 8 Pro 64 (so I can get the "downgrade" to 7 rights)  It drops the "expansion slot" option for a SmartCard Reader.  Is that different from the SD card reader??  I really need an SD card slot for reading memory cards from cameras, etc.
Thanks in advance for any info!
EDIT:  Answered my own question... The SD card reader is standard on all builds.  I was confusing that with SmartCard Reader, which does get removed as an option on any systems utilizing the microHD slot.

If I don't want to use Javacard but stick with my own
card to talk to my Java applications using OCF, do I
need to write a customized "bridge" to hook up my card
with OCF?I'm not sure I understand what you mean by 'bridge' but it
does sound like you will need to write some library
code for sure - assuming your card vendor has not.
What is a PCSC bridge using JNI that I heard
people talk about?I use it to make my PCSC readers (aka. terminals) usable
    from OCF programs.
Basically, you can have OCF terminal 'drivers' written in Java
and most likely provided by your terminal vendor.
    AND/OR
you can use the PCSC 'bridge' which makes ALL PCSC
terminals (the ones you installed PCSC drivers for) available
to OCF - regardless if your terminal vendor offers OCF-
    specific drivers.
Is that used for connecting cards
with Java applications that can't really be done on
OCF?No, it's basically for when your terminal vendor doesn't
offer a OCF driver for your terminal but they do have a
PCSC driver and you wish to use the terminal with OCF.
Is it at all possible to build Java applications
on OCF to talk to a GSM SIM card without buying api or
dev kit from special vendors?I personally have not worked with SIM cards (yet) but
what you ask for should be possible, yes.
for the record, there is no inherent relationship between
JavaCard and OCF. You can use one independant of the
    other.

  • How to use SIM card slot on W500

I found there is a slot for SIM card when I pull the battery out. I insert my SIM card and start the computer, however it won't recognize. I download and install Mobile Connect software, I got "no device found" message. How to use this function?

    Hello LeadOrg:
    Thanks for that reply.
What confuses me is this:  There seems to be two or maybe three different cards available, as follows:
Vodafone and AT&T - HSDPA wireless WAN, which seems to address the following two items:
      - Ericsson HSDPA Wireless WAN Adapter
      - Qualcomm UNDP Wireless WAN Adapter
Verizon Wireless WAN (UNDP), which seems to address the following one item:
       - Qualcomm HS-USB
I can't find any specifications in the Lenovo literature that clarifies which of the above items are suitable for GSM-900 and GSM-1800 (the frequencies used in Europe) and which of these items are suitable for GSM-850 and GSM-1900 (the frequencies used i Oz, USA, and Canada).
Further, Lenovo seems to be linking these two products to specific carriers (Vodafone and AT&T in one case, Verizon in the other case), and I use neither one of these companies - they don't operate in Canada.  I use Rogers GSM when I am in Canada and Swisscom GSM when I am in Europe.
I am quite confused.  I'd like to get a card that works with the two above carriers - but I don't know how to go about the process of selecting the appropriate card.  The whole HSDPA, HS-USB and UNDP business totally confuses me.  I always thought that UNDP was the United Nations Development Program...

  • S2110 tablet, "no SIM card found" and modem replacement...need tech help pls!!!

    Hello!
I just found a way to recover Lenovo S2110/Vodafone Smart tab II 10 from bootloop.
    Here's the guide:
    http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2603726
BUT coming from an original Vodafone firmware I've lost 3g with the "SIM card not found" error.
After checkign partitions details and finding that the /dev/block/mmcblk0p1 is the modem, I've got it extracted from the original Vodafone firmware and replaced on my system, but nothing...still can't find the SIM card!
Is there someone with deeper technical knowledge that can give me any advice and suggestion ?
    Thank you in advance ;-)
    Have a nice day !

Actually I suspect the SIM card was not detected even before flashing the Lenovo firmware over the Vodafone one !

  • T500 and Sim Card

    Hi Community,
Since last week, I got a T500 as my new company Notebook.
I noticed, that it has an internal HSPA Modem.
The first I did was to update the drivers and Lenovo Software. Now the Ericson driver Version is 4.50.6.0
As I try to establish a connection, it tells me "No Sim Card found". I tested it with my "3" UMTS Card and with a "Vodafone" Card from my colleague.
Hotline said there is no Sim Lock but no more Help from Helpdesk
Is there somebody in the community that has an idea?

  • Helix and Sim card?

Looking at the bottom of my Helix (Canadian) and it appears I can't get to the Sim card as there is a cover over it. Is there no way to open it to use the SIM card functionality?

I also got an adapter stuck in my SIM card slot, very disappointed with lenovo on this (they don't even ship a tool to properly to pop out the SIM tray!). Anyways, yea I had an adapter stuck in there, managed to pull the tray out but left the adapter still inside. You have to either push the card still inside down and then pull it out (tweezers might work) or push the card down then pull.
Basically inside there they have the contacts to connect with a SIM card also pushing onto the adapter hard enough to hold it in. Very annoying you also have to pull HARD. Try to keep a feel for it though, chances are that if you think you're breaking something... you probably are. Just take your time I suppose and good luck.
Let me know if you manage to get it out or discover more problems.
