Lenovo t530 - pinch to zoom stopped working

Hello,
just to let you know that after some of the recent updates the pinch to zoom function of the touchpad stopped working (tested with pictures, pdf, word). I do not use that very frequently so i cannot tell when exactly the bug came, but i remember it was working 2-3 months ago max. My guess is the new version of Ultranav driver - 16.2.19.14 is buggy.

First thing to do is go into System Preferences > Trackpad and check the settings.

On my 2011 macbook pro, pinch to zoom using the trackpad stops working periodically ever since upgrading to Yosemite. Rebooting seems to solve the problem. Otherwise, it eventually starts working again, the stops again after a period of time. Anyone else experiencing this problem?

Why does pinch-to-zoom stop working randomly?

For hours at a time, pinch-to-zoom will stop working, and swipe to go back/forth in safari will cause the page to crash. Does anyone else have this problem or know of a work around?

Restarting is not much of a solution; this has happened to me twice in as many days now. What is the permanent solution?

Sorry, I haven't seen this problem before and don't know of a solution. Thanks for reporting it, though - we will try to find and fix the problem if we can.

Pinch to zoom not working properly in Safari 5.1

I have OS X 10.6.8 (downloading lion as i type). I updated safari this morning and ever since I did that, pinch to zoom isnt working right. I can pinch to zoom in, to a certain extent but I can not get as large as I want as I used to and I cannot zoom back out at all. It seems to be working properly in my other apps so I guess it's something in safari. I'm not very Mac savvy since everything usually works and I dont have to be, so maybe I'm missing something? Help! I use this feature CONSTANTLY and desperately want it back. Thanks in advance!

I could zoom in once and then it wouldn't work anymore by using the pinching on the Magic Trackpad.
Pressing Command and +/- still worked.
I deleted Safari 5.1 and reinstalled the Combo Update to get 5.0.5 back and it worked properly again.
Then I installed 5.1 another time and had the same error again.
I guess I got to roll back to 5.0.5

Pinch and zoom stop my hyperlinks working

i have a folio that works well and navigates as it should, my customer requested pinch and zoom so i added it (my inDesign pages are all linked PDF files with hyperlinks on them so it was just a case of rebuiling the articles and Folio with the PDF format). Now the pinch and zoom work but all my hyperlinks are broken, any ideas, hopefully it is just a setting i need to change.
i have both folios active in different acrobat.com accounts and i updated all my software 8th Feb 2012.
I need to release this as an App ASAP through the DPS single edition but i don't want to pay for it until i know it will work.

Yes that is it - i have a few strange issues but i am solving them 1 by 1 and it is looking good now.
Changes the mood of the conference call tomorrow.

Pinch to zoom not working on safari

I have a 2012 macbook pro running mountain lion. when im on safari, my pinch to zoom gesture doesnt work. i can double tap and it will zoom in and out, but i really need the pinch to zoom gesture back. ive tried pinch to zoom on other apps like iphoto, and preview, but it doesnt work on safari. everything else does though.. and i never messed around with the settings. When i looked into the settings, pinch to zoom was on..
can anyone help?

I get this too, but quiting and re-opening Safari fixes the issue until it stops again.

Can anyone confirm if/why the finger gesture for zoom stopped working for 3D content in reader XI ?

I use 3DPDF to demonstrate products all the time on my touch screen tablet (win 7 64)
When I upgraded to reader XI, one key feature stopped working.
This is the Zoom gesture (spreading fingers closer together or further apart to zoom out/in).
I thought I was crazy at first, so I tried all sorts of setting nothing brought it back.
I downgraded to Reader X, and the feature is back.
I really need the features in XI, but I also really enjoy this zoom gesture.
I know I can simulate it sort of, by selecting zoom on the toolbar, but it really is not as easy or as intuitive.
What happened ? Was this an oversight ? Or was it taken out for some specific reason ?
I recently tried this on 2 new all in one touch screen pc's on Win 8, and the same is true there as well (it does not work).
Any other work around ideas ?

Lenovo toolbox and fingerprint software stopped working on Thinkpad W700 Windows 7 Pro 64 bit

After installing Lenovo Updates an unknown USB device appeared in device manager. Per the instructions of a Lenovo support person I performed a system restore to a time prior to the updates. After doing that the Lenovo Toolbox and Fingerprint software would no longer work. I tried another system restore back to the latest date and that did not solve the problem. I also tried reinstalling both the Toolbox and the finger print software and they still won't work. When I try to launch either of those apps I get an error message saying that they have stopped working and that the system was checking online for a solution, with no result. It's my impression that the system restore screwed up something in the OS or the system registry that is a dependency for those two programs. The only suggestion Lenovo support could give me is to re-image the system. I would prefer to find the cause and fix that rather than reload the entire system. I would love to know what could cause these two programs to stop working when the other Lenovo utilities seem to work fine. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Which version of the tool box are you using?Mine would not open after installting updates but after installating the latest version its working fine

Pinch to zoom not working in Illustrator CS6

After replacing a lot of the hardware in my MacBook Pro and re-installing CS6, I've found that pinch-to-zoom no longer works in Illustrator.
It's functioning fine in InDesign and PhotoShop though.
Am I missing some preference option to enable multi-touch gestures?

yes, what in the world is going on with this latest OS, even claimed to be world's most advanced!?
I was shocked enough when I realized no 4finger swipe to switch apps, and 3finger swipe to go back and forth between pages not working when you have 3finger drag enabled
now what's utterly frustrating is NO MORE PINCH TO ZOOM IN FINDER
this is like one of the most important functions in the OS, and it's gone!?
this must come back

Pinch to Zoom not working - iOS6

Hi
Just upgraded to iOS6 on my 4S and noticed pinch to zoom is not working on any browser Safari/Chrome.
Is this a known bug?
BTW, upgrade was smoth and hassle free.

Sometimes, pinch to zoom does not work on my macbook, I have to close the lid and reopen then it works again. This started to happen few days ago. Why?

Just bought an iPhone and my pinch to zoom on certain web pages isnt working. eg: on google I cant pinch and zoom on any search results or pictures in the 'Images' tab. When I click on an image it still wont zoom.
Has anyone else had the same problem?
Does anyone have any suggestions.

There is nothing wrong with the phone.
The web page is coded to not allow pinch to zoom.
There is nothing you can do.

Camera Zoom stopped working - trackball does nothing. Very strange fault.

I just came to take a photo using my Curve 8900 still shot camera feature.
Normally moving the trackball towards 12 o clock position zooms the shot in slightly
and moving it to the 6 oclock position zooms back out to 1:00x
But today I noticed it doesn't work at all. The trackball functions perfectly for scrolling up and down menu lists.
Also it works properly in all directions when zooming an existing photo.
It's just that the zoom function when aiming a shot to take the picture has just ceased to function.
Makes no difference what resolution it's set to. I have mine set to Superfine and 2048 x 1536 pixels and Flash and White Balance both set to Automatic. I can't even make a key press substitute for zoom such as Z as that doesn't bring the function back.
Can the trackball stop working in the camera but be working in all other applications?
I'm mystified by this one.
Hope someone knows what's happening here.

Have you tried switching the phone off and back on again as in a Reboot?
Yes I have tried that but it made no difference.
OK have you tried turning off and taking the battery out and doing a cold boot?
No but I will do and see if it makes any difference!
Did it work ?
Yes it did, and the zoom is now back working again and shows a zoom level from 1.0 to 2.0 in .25x increments.
Well I never ! Who'd have thought it?
I'm still none the wiser as to why it needed a cold boot or why it got stuck without prompting from me.
It's just one of those things. A sort of a blob, with eyeballs that throb, just one of those things !
So thanks to anyone who felt like replying to this, the problem is solved but I'd still like to know why it stopped working.

My iPads Pinch to Zoom not working

I have just bought the new iPad, I am running iOS 6 and there is a particular website I can't pinch and zoom with. However with this same website I can pinch and zoom on my iPhone 4 running iOS 6. So I doubt it's an iOS 6 issue. Can anyone help? I called Apple they told be to contact the websites administrators, like I would really get a response. Can someone with a iPad 3 running iOS 6 help me test the site? Thanks.
